This is a tasting pour--literally the sip..., and that tray was $8 for 3 crackers a couple slices of cheese...

Went to check out their new location, but it was disappointing. Check-in was confusing, the hostess was unclear, and we ended up finding our own way to the other side--as there are 2 tasting rooms. . It's $25 for 6 very chintzy pours, and the overpriced prepackaged food was underwhelming. Only 2 of the 6 wines stood out--the rest were meh. For the price, you can get much better wine at Costco. Hard pass.

We celebrate the bride to be with a traditional bachelorette party at concannon this weekend. It was a blastttt. The wine was amazing and I really enjoyed the prepackaged snacks they offer. A very special shoutout to Michelle who made our experience unforgettable. She was so approachable and funny. You can tell she really likes her job! The estate is beautiful and we enjoyed sitting outside despite the gloomy weather, I highly recommend taking a walk around the winery and exploring their garden.

From sparkling whites to Zinfandel the wine was pleasing to my palette, spicy, not too tannic, fruity aroma, the Mothervine Cab was spicy and not tannic and the lastly the Captain Joe's Petite Sirah, fruity aroma, and tannic. I ended with the crimson and clover that was light, spicy, and flavorful. Arlo my server was the best.

When we arrived at Concannon winery, we realized we were the only people tasting on a rainy Tuesday afternoon. What a treat that turned out to be! We had absolutely attentive service from a great wine tasting Steward/ host. He was not only knowledgeable about the wine, but also about the winery, the history of the area, and many other parts of the wine industry. We really appreciated everything he added to our experience. The wines at concannon are all solid, and a few are are exquisite. We enjoyed our visit and would return! Thank you for a lovely afternoon!

Came here for a Yelp event and honestly wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did. First off, it's tucked away in Livermore which makes it way more convenient than driving all the way out to Napa--and honestly, the wine here is better than a few places I've been to in Napa. Service was great. The man helping us was super friendly and gave such fun history facts about the winery. He answered all our questions and made the whole experience feel casual and not intimidating, which I appreciated since we're still kind of new to wine tasting. The ambiance was beautiful--super peaceful, with a really pretty outdoor terrace and plenty of space to sit, sip, and just chill. We ended up grabbing a few snacks and leaving with two bottles of wine, so clearly we were into it. Already thinking about coming back on a weekend for a more laid-back visit outside of the Yelp event. Definitely a spot I'd return to, especially as someone just getting into the wine scene.

My first winery visit in Concannon Vineyard, Livermore was absolutely amazing! My girls and I wanted to spend a Saturday afternoon wine tasting and was able to get paired with Barry as our wine man! He was really informative and had shared the best jokes! The wine itself here was super yummy and had many great options! I loved that they had small bites we could purchase, and we ended up getting crackers and a spinach artichoke dip which paired really well with the wines we tried! The property was very well kept, so beautiful, and very welcoming. I definitely would recommend!

Visited Concannon for a tasting as part of the Livermore Wine Pass. We were literally the only customers there. The staff was friendly and mostly left us alone to get other work done. We did not enjoy the Gruner Veltliner but loved the 2023 Reserve Crimson & Clover. We took home a case.

Prices were reasonable, but it adds up if you order accompaniments. Wines were delicious and our server, an older gentleman, was very knowledgeable about the grapes, vintage, and history of the winery. He answered all of our questions thoroughly. The patio seating was very relaxing with a great view of the vineyards. There's also a lovely fountain that we took photos in front of. We chose this specific winery because we were allowed to bring dog and our 6 month old (children are allowed on specific days only). Also because it was very accessible, no stairs and fully paved paths. All in all we had a very nice anniversary outting.

What are the wine tasting fees?

Are kids allowed on the property?

Per an email received: Starting on Saturday, May 14th, the property will be 21 and over (including infants) on Saturdays and Sundays only. During the week - kids are allowed.

Anyone know if kids are allowed on the grounds again?. I read somewhere they were crazy strict with rules now.

Hello Mari, Thank you for asking! We allow kids in our Club 1883 room when parents are tasting as well as the lawn area. We do ask that children stay at your table at all times. I hope this helps!!

Is there a way to make reservations online? We are members , and will we be able to bring our baby with us?

Hi Jill! Thanks for your question. You can learn more and make your reservation on our website at https://www.concannonvineyard.com/visit/reservations/. If your child is under six months, you can bring them in a stroller. During these current times,…

Can you bring outside food into the vineyard?

" No outside food or beverages are permitted." after covid start on their website.

    Can you bring dogs?

Yes! Our friends did- the grassy area is great for dogs.

Are there any food options at the vineyard while wine tasting?

They used to have an awesome wine bar on site, but it's since closed. Unfortunately, there are no on-site food options anymore.

We were there at 5:45pm on a Saturday and only a couple tables were taken up so we got a spot no problem. I ordered the dirty Greek martini with no vermouth, which was basically a dirty vodka martini with feta brine and olive oil. It was smooth and mellowed out with the savoriness of feta and olive oil. Savory girls, this one's for you! My friends both enjoyed their tamarind tequila cocktail and the non-alcoholic blackberry sage smash. We ordered the whipped feta which came topped with wine-soaked pluots, aleppo pepper, and fermented honey. This was absolutely to die for when scooped up with the fluffy, warm pita on the side. My friends and I have not been able to stop talking about this appetizer. It is what every bread and dip should strive to be - simple yet well-executed, with layers of contrasting flavors and textures. Almost every time I've been to a beer or wine bar or even a cider house they always serve drinks in a chilled glass. This isn't the case with wine of course. So I was surprised an establishment in Livermore that serves many beers and ciders would do so. The atmosphere of the place was decent. The bar is in the back and you have to pass an area in the front to get to it. If you didn't know it was there or wasn't sufficiently curious you might turn around and leave without finding it. Overall if you're on the square and specifically wanting wine then this is the place to go. If you're looking for beer or cider and wanting it served correctly then you should look elsewhere.

If you've been here, you know the elevator opens into a very small entry space before you even fully enter the bar. Before I had even stepped off the elevator, the security guard was aggressively grabbing my friend's husband to check his ID. For context, we are all in our mid to late 40s and clearly not under 21. My friend's husband had just noticed a friend at the bar and walked over to say hello and give them a quick hug. That's when the security guard grabbed and pulled him in a very aggressive manner. When my husband calmly stepped in and said that the grabbing was unnecessary, the guard escalated the situation further. He became confrontational and even told my husband he could come back at 1:30 when he got off work if he wanted to "handle it." This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable. As a Livermore resident, I will not support an establishment that allows their employees, especially security staff,to treat customers this way. Staff should be ensuring safety, not provoking confrontations with patrons.
