Very late post. But we had a reservation for Sunday 1:30pm during Martin Luther Day weekend in January 2025. $20 tasting fee for 5 wines. We even got an extra tasting of a Bordeaux cab to compare with the regular cab. Generous pours. Wines were Bordeaux style. Bold, smooth, and mostly fruity. Right up in our alley! There was one red that was earthy. They have a big outdoor area for seatings. You can bring outside food and it's pet friendly. Great service from the staff. Everyone was so friendly. Our guy was very knowledgeable. Needless to say, we became members! Now fast toward of being members for a year. Sad to say, but the wines went down hill for us. They didn't taste as good and flavorful for us anymore. And we have been back several times. I've only been to one wine release party in June. It was a sausage and wine pairing event. But service has always been good and you can always revisit the wines. It's a nice property with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. read more

Really friendly service in a super cute setting. I highly recommend enjoying your wine on their outdoor patio, surrounded by verdant grape vines. Unfortunately, I just didn't like any of their wines. I had such high expectations because this winery focuses on Bordeaux wines. In particular, they have a BLK Cabernet Sauvignon that has won a variety of awards across multiple vintages. However, I found their wines to be underdeveloped and bitter, almost as if they weren't aged long enough in the barrel. read more

Excellent service... warm, relaxed and attentive. Extra points for great team work... while waiting for our last pour another team member came over (unasked, just ensuring teamate was covered while helping another table). We were fine, relaxed and enjoying the moment, but it was not lost on me the smooth support ensuring everyone being served. We had a great experience. Ambiance relaxed and perfect for sitting around enjoying the tasting experience. We sat outside with umbrella covered tables... and had a relaxing nice visit. Also ordered the gouda and crackers for my pleasure. I do think the cheese and crackers could be presented better. The current process is to provide the whole unopened ,packaged cheese and packaged crakers. The positive is that a nice cheese cutter was also provided, so easy to slice. Cool find but ultimately just ok to me, as far as wine tasting goes. Smaller winery out in this warm valley, where they tend to grow/showcase Bordeaux grapes like Cab Franc, Merlot and of course Cabernet Sauvignon. There is a small outdoor patio where I think on the weekends they try and bring in a food truck. The day I went the patio was quite filled by 1 pm and many seemed to be locals in the know who just wanted to sit on the patio to eat/drink. I did a tasting and didn't see many of those folks in the tasting area, so they knew the drill. The day we went, they were featuring a 'Barrel Tasting' for $25. I never tasted wine straight from a wooden barrel (young and upcoming wine) so this was a draw for me. And to add value to this tasting, once tasting a young and about to be bottled wine, they would pair it with almost the exact wine/blend just a year older already from a bottle. So you kinda got to see the evolution of this wine. You did this twice in 2 different areas. Quite educational I have to admit. You can also taste a few others from their main tasting panel, so I think I was able to taste 6-7 different tastings total. And I thought that the $25 fee could be applied to a wine purchase but upon looking at my receipt at a later time, I didn't see any line for a credit, just the bottle prices. It's not a deal breaker for me, but I do have a more favorable lean towards wineries that give a fee back if you support them. After the initial tasting, we decided to share one of my bottles on their patio. They'll nicely open it for you and provide nice glassware and some cool water. Perfect. We sat out there for about 45 minutes and it just started to get too warm. It was in the mid 80s in late March. And even though there is some covering out there, there are many chairs that will be in direct sunlight...Livermore sunlight. A bit uncomfortable and may even be dangerous in the heights of summer when this valley can easily reach the 90's-low 100s. So a good out but not a great out. May be a one and done. read more

Always an enjoyable visit. The wines are excellent, and gives you a chance to try one of the few winemakers making Carménère in the United States. The owners, Larry & Margie Dino, are knowledgeable and very welcoming. Both the patio and the indoor seating are picture perfect. First time visiting Cuda Ridge. Excellent wines. We came for the award winning Merlot. We were not disappointed. The Merlot was amazing.

They're known for their Bordeaux style wines, with a small but spacious tasting room and ample outside seating overlooking the vineyards. I attended a meetup here with my church and I was served 5 wines for $20. The "2023" Sauvignon Blanc was tart and crisp, the "2021" Malbec was spicy and smooth with a fruity aroma, the "2021" BLK Cabernet Sauvignon was too bold for me, the "2021" Petit Verdot also a blending grape was spicy and smooth, this was the only one on the flight I enjoyed, and lastly their "2022" Casa De Viñas Carménère was a pass for me. I'm not a typical red wine drinker but I like to get out of my comfort zone when trying wines. If you are a red lover and like the Bordeaux style of wines this is the place to go. read more

Stopped by this winery for Holiday in the Vineyards. Wine was good. Staff & owner were very friendly. It definitely was an older crowd than other wineries I have visited in Livermore. They were very accommodating when we arrived as a party of 7. Would return only if they had some type of entertainment. And maybe bring my Mom or someone older with me. read more

I went to a Member tasting along with a family member as their guest recently. I've been to Cuda a handful of times now and it's always a nice experience here. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines and if there's any food offerings they know a lot about it as well! The staff also does an amazing job remembering their regulars, which is a nice gesture. I don't visit as often as some family/friends do but I do notice they remember my family/friends that do! We had the member flight tasting and it came with a soup pairing which paired really nicely with each wine the soups were paired with. The wine here is always tasty! I wish I would have taken pictures of the soups. It has a very cozy neighborly feel to it, I notice it attracts a mostly older crowd of people as well as some family, definitely a friendly vibe. A boutique, family owed winery specializing in Bordeaux varieties and blends. This was our first stop on our Livermore Valley exploring. We enjoyed the gentle warm sun on the umbrella shaded patio and tasted 5 wines ($20/tasting) My Favorites were the rose (mainly merlot) and the 2018 Cabernet franc (one of their signature wines). We also tried the 2017 Cabernet which is made in an American, fruit forward style. We were lucky to try both the 2018 Petite Verdot and the estate version side by side and all their richness. Quality of wine is very good. The only few winery that makes petite verdot. Service can improve. The servicer did not explain anything about the wine. They just poured the wine. The pour is little. Nice place, helpful and nice staff (all one of him) who got for me the information that a wino like me liked to hear. For real wino types like me the wines are fine examples of the Livermore "liquid sunshine," style. In other words they're loaded with fruit but their Cabernet Franc is a little more restrained and quite lovely. It you like the general warm climate wines they are very good in that style, if you prefer European wines (perhaps you shouldn't be in Livermore) stick to the Cab Franc, it really is nice. read more

We were once again driving through Livermore on a Saturday and decided to stop here. They boasted live music as well. The band playing apparently was Angie Mazariti which was a disappointment. I do not consider a band using backing tracks - like a drum machine "live music" We got the 2 bottle minimum - which was around $90.00 and stuck around for a taste. We ended up leaving shortly, didn't like the wine, ended up gifting the uncorked bottle. read more

What a wonderful hidden gem we found. The staff was very informative and very hospitable. The wines were quiet good & enjoyable. We had visited another winery prior to finding this one and this family owned winery deserves their 5 stars! We purchase 2 bottles of Cabernet Franc & 2 bottle of the Cabernet Sauvignon. I highly recommend giving them a try! They also have a refrigerator of snacks to purchase to compliment the wines which is a plus. read more

This was our 3rd stop on our biking trip through the wine country. I tasted at the other two places so I decided to skip tasting here. The winery is nice. The side patio has heat lamps for when it is cold. The lady at the front area was really nice. They come out to your patio table to serve the tasting. Not all wineries do that so I liked that. read more

I'm being a bit generous on this review because the staff and owners are wonderful however our experience last week was very mixed. The winery hosted a musical event with a country western band that was very entertaining, truly great music which we enjoyed. The issue we had is that they required a 2 bottle minimum and each bottle exceeded at a minimum of $40. Unfortunately the first small taste we tried was a sauvignon blanc which was simply awful and chose to order a bottle of the rose which wasn't much better. I couldn't drink it! My husband had some but couldn't finish it either. Since we were required to buy another bottle we purchased a bottle of red to take home and threw out the remaining bottle of rose. The price of the bottle wasn't worth attending the concert. There are much better options available at other wineries offering better wines for the entertainment provided. I do appreciate the service provided at the event and the owners did provide a nice event. Unfortunately the wine was sub par. read more

We had some visitors from out of town and we wanted to take them winetasting. In June 2021 it is still necessary to have reservations in advance for winetasting. Unfortunately I did not notice so I had to call around until I found a place with availability. This is how we ended up at these winery. The wine tasting was outside and you could apply the cost of wine tasting to two bottles of wine. So for example if your wine tasting feeYes $15 then you can discount that amount from the cost of two bottles. The area for sitting outside has tables right next to the vineyards it has a slight shade so if it is a very hot day you should bring a hat. They also allow for you to bring in your own picnic. Came here on a Saturday for an outdoor patio picnic. Made reservations almost a week prior and Annie was so helpful in answering my questions and in a timely manner! Cuda Ridge was also very accommodating to dietary needs and were flexible with us bringing our own food as well! The patio seating and winery was beautiful and would def like to come back again! Their customer service was also spot on! Came around checking in on everyone, not often enough to be annoyed, nor seldom waiting to see someone. The patio is also dog friendly for those who want to bring your fury friends! They also practice good COVID hygiene by requiring masks upon entering the indoor portion of the winery, providing bottled water, and temporarily halting any tastings! Note: The one star off was for the wines as the ones we got tasted more on the dry side and our table didn't have a preference for these. Really appreciate the staff being so accommodating with me, being the Saturday before Valentine's Day and allowing me to come in for a tasting just half an hour before close with no reservation. Stumbled upon this place because a couple friends found it and invited us to go wine tasting with them at the beginning of the year. During the wine tasting we were served I believe it was 5 different wines and they were all very nice but I would have to say my favorite was the Petite Verdot. The gentleman at the time was very knowledgeable an prompt with our pours. At the end I was offered to become a member which includes wine tasting for a total of 4 people including yourself which also comes with a discount on wine and there is no fee, you just have to buy 2 orders of wine a year for a total of 6 bottles. So I ended up buying 3 bottles to take home. Fast forward to a couple months later I was supposed to receive my order but I was out of town and did not get back in time so it went back to sender. I then received my second order but not my first, but not a problem they had it there and had the option of sending it back or going there and picking it up. I decided to pick it up and do a wine tasting while I was there. This time the wine tasting was a little rushed more because of myself and personal timing but also because the bathroom unfortunately got damaged before we arrived and it was the only bathroom they had. So we had to leave a bit earlier then we would have liked just to find a restroom. Other then that, this place is a great smaller winery and great for a calm relaxing chill time. read more

Are you an Asian? Do not go to this winery. I was a new member, and I went to a soup pairing pick-up event with my friend. We were seated in a two person table and waited to be given with at least bread since everyone was served with well presented bread wrapped in a cloth purple napkin. After waiting for a while, I asked the server if we can have at least bread and she stated that they ran out and that they are waiting for more (this is after I saw a lot of table were served with it) okay so we waited again soup were served without us having bread to pair, not to mention that we have to wait for the wine to pair with our soup. Finally, they pour our wine and our soup was already cold. That visit I have to ask for everything (bread, wine to pair our cold soup, water). It was OK with me to ask for everything. However, when the bread served to us, it was not well presented. It looked like it was a leftover and wrapped with a paper towel. Me and my friend looked around and saw if some of the tables were served with a paper towel, but it was just our table. It was a very poor service that day that I felt they were being RACIST. knowing that I was a new member and I was treated like that. I was feeling embarrassed to my friend that I invited to go with me telling her about how good the red wine in Cuda was, but after all of that experienced never again! It is always a good service matter no matter how good the wine is. I emailed Cuda and canceled my membership. What a gem!! Small family run winery in the heart of Livemore. Everything is sourced locally. I have had the Semillion and the Cabernet Franc. They were out of Sauvingon Blanc when we visited which is such a bummer because it sounds amazing! I brought the kids and they danced to live music while I did some wine tasting. It was so nice as most wineries aren't as welcoming for little ones. They have live music at the last Thursday of every month and host several live music nights over the summer. Pack a picnic basket and treat yourself to lunch, live music and amazing wine.There are picnic tables outside with shade and seating indoors as well. We had such a great time! Had a lovely day here. The social distancing was great, tables are set very far apart. We didn't realize we could bring our own food as long as we also bought an entrée for the table. There is a barbecue food truck and we all enjoyed the things we got from it. The wines are delicious and the person assisting us was lovely. She really knew her wines and gave us great suggestions. All the staff were helpful and kind. The bathroom is cleaned every time somebody goes into it. Masks are necessary indoors and when you get up from your table. Otherwise you can takeoff your mask while eating and drinking. Parking is easy. There is plenty of shaded places to eat and drink. This was a welcome respite from the stress of the last few months. read more
