From the very beginning, Diane went above and beyond to help me plan this special day. She answered my many questions, worked through every accommodation with me, and made the entire booking process seamless. Her kindness, patience, and genuine enthusiasm made me feel like she was just as invested in the celebration as I was. By the end of the planning process, I had unofficially promoted her to honorary bridesmaid status. When we arrived, Valeria and Kayla were fantastic. They immediately jumped into "surprise mode," graciously playing along by checking us in at the host stand and escorting us to our table without giving anything away. Their teamwork helped keep the bride-to-be completely unsuspecting until she walked into a room full of family and friends. Valeria also accommodated my request to play a millennial throwback playlist, and every hit had us singing along--it was the perfect soundtrack for the afternoon. Our server, Skylar, was equally wonderful. She made excellent wine recommendations, was attentive without ever making us feel rushed, and truly made us feel at home. Even after our reserved time had ended, she warmly invited us to stay and continue enjoying ourselves. What was supposed to be a two-hour brunch turned into nearly four hours of laughter, wine, and celebrating, and we never once felt like we were inconveniencing anyone. The beautiful winery, delicious brunch, excellent wine, and stunning atmosphere were everything I had hoped for. But what truly made this experience exceptional was the people. Diane, Valeria, Kayla, Skylar, and the entire Murrieta's Well team created an experience that felt warm, personal, and genuinely special. Planning a surprise from start to finish can be stressful, but thanks to this incredible team, all I had to do was enjoy watching my best friend's reaction. Thank you for helping create memories we'll cherish for a lifetime. We can't wait to come back!

Whether you're a wine enthusiast or just looking for a great place to unwind, McGrail is definitely worth visiting. This place is really beautiful, with fountains, gardens, vineyards, and cabanas. As I entered, the staff was really friendly and immediately offered me a glass of wine. We had reserved the entire outdoor cabana area, but since it was raining, we moved the party indoors. The indoor area is really nice with wooden tables and fresh flowers. What's nice is that we can bring food in, so we had food doordashed in. They also have games like corn hole and jenga available. It was a wonderful afternoon of eating, drinking, and walks around their vineyards. My coworker said she has attended a wedding and a birthday party here. This is a great venue for a special event. It's not as large as Concannon or Wente. It's rustic and charming. I'm not a wine drinker, so I can't comment on the quality of their wines.

However, our experience was ruined when a host approached our table and asked if we were close to leaving because there was a long waitlist. Several other tables had arrived before us, yet none of them were approached. This treatment felt unfair and left a very bad taste in my mouth. After many years of enjoying my membership, this experience has made me seriously consider canceling it. Please be better.

The wines offered unique flavor profiles that made the tasting experience fun and different from other wineries we've visited. One of my favorite parts was hearing the stories behind each wine. We also appreciated receiving a map of Livermore's wine country, it was such a thoughtful touch and made us excited to explore even more. We stepped inside The old Barn and were greeted by the owner and winemaker himself, Brett. The barn was so cute, and honest. And Brett was so clearly passionate about his wines. It isn't often that you find this personal connection with a winery. Many of them are corporate today, and most owners have employees in the tasting room and are not there on a Saturday afternoon. That alone set Boaventura apart from most wineries. The wines were excellent! There wasn't one bad one in the ten that we tasted. That's pretty amazing, even for fantastically epic famous wineries. And to find that in Livermore Valley is even more awesome. I will absolutely return to Boaventura and I recommend it as a must-stop to all of my wine-loving friends.
