California Sparkling Wine Mimosa! Ehrenberg Cellars' signature BRUT - not too sweet, not too dry - just perfect!

Wonderful little tasting room winery tucked away in small industrial park plaza but worth the stop right off the highway. Chris Ehrenberg is a delight! He knows so much about wines, loves to share his knowledge and the big secret is that Chris is actually an at-home gourmet chef and cocktail maestro! Ehrenberg cellars is a true gem - you must visit, try and buy some wines and you'll be hooked! Two thumbs up!!

Hilarious hang on your nose "mouths". After tasting 10 wines you really can't stop laughing!

This was one of the most fun days I have had wine tasting in years. Chris the winemaker and his sister-in-law (I think she was...but if not, she was a hoot as well) showed us a great time and took us through most of their wines (did a flight of 5 Zins and some ports). There is a tasting fee of 10.00 but it's well worth it. If you spend 5$ tasting reserves and buy wine, you get the $5 back. Their tasting room is small but roomy enough to hold a dozen folks without being too crowded. They had some great fun things to take photos with (see my photos) including the "Lucille Ball Wine Barrel" photo area (great idea Chris!). After tasting for 20+ years in Sonoma, Napa, Paso Robles, Santa Barbara, Livermore and the Gold Country in the Sierra's, this was probably the most fun I have had in a tasting room (second to The Singing Winemaker right next door, which is reviewed as well) over any of the other places I have tasted (and that's probably well over 100 wineries). Other wineries should take note of how well they treat their clients and how fun they make the tasting. No snobby pourers here. Selling themselves as an "Urban" winery and coming into the market for commercial tasting rooms in 2008, they have definitely done it right. If you love Zin, they have a great selection and all were very distinct in their nose and finish. The 2013 Favolora Zin was my favorite as was the ETC and Cab Ports. The ETC is a Tawney port with a very nice blend of fortified brandy. Nice and rich, deep red in color with the hints of the brown brandy color make this a great port. The Cab Port is the sweeter of the ports and is incredibly smooth and sweet. This would be great with dark chocolate (like every port), Chocolate flourless cake, and even poured over an Angel Food Cake with fresh raspberries, strawberries and raspberries. Being a boutique winery, I favor these types of wineries over any of the large wineries in the valley. Supporting local winemakers is a big plus, and the fact Chris lives in my home town tells me he has really good taste ;-) 5 stars!

Ambiance: warm and comforting! Reminded me of a relatives house. Had fun signs and props for plenty of picture opportunities. Service: delightful! Our main man was upfront about wine preferences and super personable. Overall: highly recommend for the price (3 wine tasting for $20)! Start off here, move along to Paulson and then end with the Singing Winemaker :) and don't forget to take pictures and tip your wine connoisseur

Delicious bubbly!!

Love this spot!! Wines for everyone and very drinkable. Owners are so friendly. You'll have a great time and for sure find a wine you love

Tasting room

This place is a hidden gem. From the outside, it doesn't look like much. However, just as you should NEVER Judge a book by it's cover, the same is doubly true for Ehrenberg cellars. The tasting room is super cute. Chris is a hoot to chat with and of course the wine has a variety for everyone.

The best wine everrrrrrrr y'all need to come here every weekend

The owners of this winery are the best. Every time we visit it is just like we're going to a friends house. Plus the wines are amazing. Never a dull moment!

Great wines and great atmosphere! The wine maker is extremely friendly and welcoming. Love the 2010 Shenandoah Zinfandel and the 2010 Barbera. Tasted the 2011 Sirah and I'm looking forward the Feb release. Cheers!

So I have very mixed feelings about this place. Some things are incredible. Some things are not…read moreso great. I am a member of the "Legends" club. So that to me means it's top of the line membership as indicated by their pricing and what we get. So I feel I should get top notch deals, pricing and service. Turns out, we get the same shaft as the lower club members. Starting with the good, the location is pristine. Nice area with lots of room for kids and adults to mingle and play. The wine is also pretty darn good. Of course there are some better than others but I enjoy most of their wine. The service is also for the most part very good. The waitstaff is very friendly and makes you feel welcome. Their food is also pretty darn good. It's not incredible, and a bit overpriced but it's fine enough. Their wine pricing is also fair (but of course with the highest membership we get the biggest discount). My biggest complaints would be the price gouging and lack of communication. We made arrangements on a Friday to show Sunday with 6 and asked for the "VIP space upgrade to lounge or upstairs Vista Patio Lounge (when available)". They said no problem. When we showed on Sunday they said it was closed with no notice. Just a sorry. OK whatever. We sit inside (6 people and 2 children) and they charge for 2 children a "non drinker" charge of $10 ($5 each). A head count charge for non-drinkers? For children? Total nonsense! I am spending over $1,200 a year here and you want to gouge me for someone's kids? Their tastings are $40 a pop which is really crazy. Our price is waived on this so that's fine but if you are not a member you are paying a lot for a little. The wines do take a bit of time to come and they don't give you a lot. Kind of a bummer waiting for the taste. We ended up with 4 appetizers (sliders $24, Charcuterie $25, Tater Tots $12 and Pretzel Bites with Grilled Sausage $16) 2 bottles of wine and $4.25 for water and the bill was over $250. Oh and top that off, with 6 people, they charge a mandatory 20% on the bill for a tip and are basing that with taxes (as the button default), not the actual sub-total so they are actually getting about 23%. All in all, I am not sure that the cost is worth what you get. I mean we are giving them a lot of money just to be members and then having to pay more and more for anything else that really should be included (like water and kids) makes this place just a bit too over-rated for me. Probably end my club membership in the fall and go someplace that doesn't place money first.

Roger took care of us, and his customer service was brilliant. Since it was our first time, he took the time to explain each wine, and even cheered with us for our anniversary on the first one Truly top-notch service. We also received a complimentary wine glass, which was such a nice touch. We noticed Bryan helping the table next to us as well, and he also provided excellent customer service. The entire place was very pretty, clean, and organized. They had an outdoor fire pit and kindly turned it on for me since I was cold--it definitely helped keep me warm along with the wine! The dip and crackers were so good--I especially loved the creamy cheese dip. We also ordered the chocolate lava cake; it was okay... but I have to say, Domino's lava cake might still be my favorite lol. Overall, we would definitely go again!

Cons - our server asked to see our IDs immediately (which is not a problem as I always expect to show my ID). The problem happened when the server was adamant my partner was "not the same person" on the ID. He then pulled out a second government ID and she was insistent AGAIN that it was not him. At this point it was already an awkward beginning and she had to get another person to check BOTH his LEGAL IDs to make sure it's him. That was a weird start to the tasting. - the pours are very small. I realize it's a "tasting" but I have been to many places where they give you twice the amount of wine -we bought a bottle for home, but once we got home realized it was not the correct one (this is partially our fault because we did not check before we left) -outdoor seating can be a little chilly because not all seats have heaters Pros - we had a reservation on a Monday afternoon which was easy to make and we were sat right away - you get a welcome glass of their sparkling wine - Mondays are 2 for 1 tastings, so a great deal for a casual weekday outing - all the wines we tasted were great
