    Zephyr Burger
    Jason E.

Delicious, efficient, and relaxing. After a day of doing some wine tastings, I was looking for something delicious and tasty for an early dinner. Wonderfully I found Zephyr. I had the Zephyr Burger and it was the perfect size, not too big but not small either. The pretzel bun was so soft and delicious, I wanted another but decided to not eat more bread.

    Cheers!!

Came here for dinner to celebrate my friend's birthday. Our server was amazing ! She's very attentive and took really good care of us loud ladies We brought a wine from Concannon so the corkage fee was waived since the wine is from Livermore Our food came out fast and perfection Holiday season so the place was busy!!! A reservation is recommended for sure

    Ribeye Rib Eye Steak

I ordered medium rare ribeye steak and it came cooked medium. Steak was thin, small and tough, cost was $55. The potatoes and vegetables were bland. My wife ordered the swordfish and it was not seasoned and came with the mashed potatoes and the same vegetables as the ribeye. Ordered the chocolate decadence cake for dessert and it tasted like raw cake batter without flour, not very good. Cappuccino was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of seating and the atmosphere was comfortable, wait staff was friendly and service was good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Butternut squash soup

I'm so disappointed in my lunch today. Had my son swing by and pick up my absolute favorite soup butternut squash. I haven't been since they reopened so I've been craving this soup for about a year. First the bowl wasn't even close to being full, see photo included. I guess they no longer include the tomato/pico de gallo for the soup, no biggie the menu reflects the change. There was a dollop of sour cream, yet no cashews. Also they must have changed the actual soup recipe because it's not the same as before, just kinda bland the amount of possibly curry is was more than before. Please bring back the original.

I'm back and it was so worth it! The best waitress - attentive, smiling, friendly, anticipated our needs for drinks and boxes including the small sauce cups. We didn't ask for a thing. Started with warm focaccia bread with flavored oil, seasonings and Parmesan; it was awesome. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Eating early at 5 pm had the place with a few tables of guests but by the end of our meal the place was full.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Next course was the crab tower, a favorite from both Zephyr locations along with their affiliate Smith Landing. Always fresh and flavorful, we just want it served with more wonton chips because there are never enough PLEASE. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Always clean and elegant here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The following course was the Parmesan crusted lemon sole. It was just divine. Perfect amount of crispy and tender fish. This was excellently prepared. Creamy mashed potatoes with corn. This plate was just missing its cilantro. Bread pudding for dessert. This portion was huge with the ice cream and whipped cream with chocolate drizzled everywhere. I'm still drooling.

My exceptional boyfriend Dakota is a server at Zephyr; and he often tells me about how great the food is, so we decided to grab some brunch. Growing up, my family frequently dined at Smith's Landing in Antioch, so it's quite exciting to learn they have a chain (: All of the food is delicious and cooked to perfection; very light and not greasy at all, with beautiful presentation. The ambiance is very elegant and comfortable, and our server Kristen was delightful; timely, and very kind. Each time she stopped by our table, she was smiling and I found it very endearing, she is such a sweet person!! Definitely my favorite restaurant in Livermore, hopefully you get my wonderful bf Dakota, or the lovely Kristen to serve you!! Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Quality/Quantity - Complimentary bread with 3 types of butter - The butter was my favorite part of my lunch! The bread was just okay. Toasted Turkey Sandwich - Generous portions. Comes with either soup, salad, or fries. My buddy chose salad, then there were 3 different types of salads; choices, choices, choices. He finally chose the grilled pear salad. He took half of his lunch to go. Mediterranean Pesto Pasta - Added Cajun chicken for $7 more. I should have done a better job reading the description, expecting an olive oil pesto sauce. This was a creamy pesto sauce. Not bad, but not my preference. Took half home for my daughter to eat. Other menu options are dinner, brunch, happy hour, specials, event dinners, kids menu, etc. Atmosphere - Huge restaurant. Sections available for private events. This restaurant is slightly off the beaten path. Outdoor seating was also available, but I did not go out to take pictures. Table, booth, bar, counter, etc. seating. Open 7 days a week from 10am or 11am to 9pm or 10pm; see website or my picture. 7 days of Happy Hour also available, see website for specific hours. Wine Wednesday, 50% off select bottles; see website. City parking lots approximately 3 blocks away. Service - 5 stars. Tiffany checked on us often and kept our waters filled. Price - $49+ generous tip. I think it was a little expensive for what we got. Well at least both of us will get two meals out of it, lol. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2004. My buddy is a regular customer, so I will be also.

Dropped into Zephyr on a random Monday I had off--turns out, it was Martini Monday, which felt like the universe was on my side. The martini was really good (I could've easily gone for another), and the light dinner I paired with it hit the spot. Relaxed, easygoing vibe--exactly what I was hoping for. Funny enough, I hadn't been here in about 20 years, and I'm happy to say it's still holding up. The place has that classic, consistent feel--not trying too hard, just doing what they do well. Wish I had more Mondays off to make this a habit. Solid 4 stars.

    Ahi Tuna Pome.

The food was amazing. If you enjoy Ahi, run don't walk to have their Ahi Tuna Poke, the best around. Happy to hear this plate will stay on the menu year round. The service was exceptional. The wait staff is amazing especially Haley. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Ambiance has and still is top notch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

An Unforgettable Birthday Celebration in Downtown Livermore!…read more We came to Locanda Wine Bar in downtown Livermore on a Friday evening to celebrate my wife's birthday with friends, and we had an absolute blast! The vibe here is lively, fun, and vibrant. Reservations are definitely highly recommended since it gets so popular. The entire staff is awesome, but a massive shout-out goes to our waitress, Ashley--she was fantastic and provided incredible service throughout the entire night! We ordered a wide variety of dishes to share, and every single one was a hit: * Fritto Marechiaro: A wonderful mix of fresh calamari, jumbo prawns, sliced zucchini, and artichoke hearts. Everything was fried to a light, crispy perfection and paired wonderfully with the signature Locanda Capri sauce. * Pane e Olive: Crisp, fresh baguette from local Wingen Bakery served alongside Locanda's classic olive tapenade. Rich, savory, and the perfect starter bite. * Fiori di Zucca: Delicate zucchini blossoms stuffed with creamy ricotta and mozzarella, served over a rich marinara sauce. These were absolutely delicious and melted in your mouth. * Penne alla Vodka: Tender penne pasta tossed with smoked mozzarella, Parmesan, and cracked pepper in a rich, creamy vodka pink sauce. Yummy and comforting! * Parmigiana di Melanzane: Mamma Carmela's famous eggplant parmigiana layered with melted mozzarella and tomato sauce. Hearty, warm, and bursting with authentic Italian flavor. * Pollo Piccata: Tender organic chicken breast served in a bright, zesty lemon-butter sauce with Sicilian capers, accompanied by creamy mashed potatoes and rainbow baby carrots. * Branzino Locanda: Fresh Mediterranean seabass filet lightly breaded with panko and topped with a bright lemon sauce, served with velvety mashed potatoes and rainbow baby carrots. Delicately crispy on the outside and wonderfully flaky inside. * Polpette della Mamma: Homemade beef meatballs cooked to tender perfection, served in a rich marinara sauce with Parmesan cheese and crisp crostini for dipping. Warm, comforting, and packed with flavor. * Beet Salad: A crisp, refreshing mix of wild baby arugula, mixed greens, sweet golden and red beets, tangy goat cheese crumbles, and juicy blood orange slices. * Espresso Martini & Wine: The drinks were top-tier. The espresso martini was amazing, bold, and perfectly balanced. We also ordered a bottle of Collefasani Bacchanalia Falerno del Massico Bianco D.O.C., which was served perfectly chilled--crisp, refreshing, and not too sweet. * Almond Cheesecake: For dessert, we treated ourselves to the almond cheesecake. It was rich, creamy, and served with fresh strawberries and whipped cream--the ideal sweet note to wrap up the night. Overall, it was a fantastic evening filled with great energy, outstanding hospitality, and incredible food. I highly recommend Locanda Wine Bar for a celebration, a night out with friends, or a memorable family meal!

The experience begins in a small glass-enclosed entryway where you're greeted before the hostess is notified by radio. Moments later, the glass door opens, revealing a beautifully designed speakeasy with an elegant yet inviting atmosphere. The space offers comfortably spaced bar seating, cozy booths, and tables, all surrounded by tasteful décor that perfectly captures the speakeasy era while incorporating subtle honeycomb-inspired touches. The spirit selection is impressive, and the appetizer menu is thoughtfully curated. Their specialty cocktails are creative, balanced, and beautifully presented. We sat at the bar, where our mixologist, Kalika B, was both personable and professional. I always enjoy sitting at the bar when the bartender is willing to share their craft, and Kalika did exactly that. She explained the story behind several of their custom cocktails, the history of some of their spirits, their signature custom ice program, and offered excellent appetizer recommendations. Her knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. The entire space was spotless and clearly designed with great attention to detail. It filled up quickly after opening, so I was glad we arrived when we did. Despite the growing crowd, there appeared to be plenty of staff, and the service remained attentive without ever making guests feel rushed. There is only one restroom, but during our visit it was never an issue, and there was no wait. I've been chasing speakeasies for more than 20 years, long before they became as popular as they are today. Whenever I travel, I make it a point to seek out a local speakeasy, so I've experienced quite a few over the years. Honeycomb ranks near the top of my list. It's the perfect size--not too small and not too large--with an outstanding selection of spirits, exceptional craft mocktails, knowledgeable mixologists who truly know their craft, and cocktails tailored to your palate. The atmosphere is elegant yet approachable, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality of the experience. The Honeycomb Speakeasy in Livermore is truly a destination-worthy cocktail experience. They post their updated schedule and the weekly secret password there since it changes regularly based on bookings. Here's what we tried: Cusco Comb (1000/10): Absolutely one of the best cocktails I've ever had. It was sweet, strong, and incredibly smooth without the alcohol being overpowering. I loved it so much that I immediately ordered a second one. I would honestly come back just for this drink alone. Honeycomb After Dark (9/10): Such a fun twist on an espresso martini! It reminded me of a Vietnamese coffee with a boozy kick. As the ice cream melted, the drink became even creamier and more delicious. Gin & Tonic (6/10): I'm not personally a gin and tonic fan, but my sister really enjoyed it. She thought the ratio of gin to tonic was spot on. Fries (6/10): Super crispy with a great texture, but they were a little too salty for my taste. The only downside is that there's only one bathroom, so keep that in mind if it's busy. If you're looking for a great spot to grab drinks in downtown, I highly recommend this speakeasy. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the cocktails are outstanding, and the service is consistently excellent. I'd probably skip the food next time and eat somewhere else beforehand, then come here to enjoy the amazing drinks.
