We were nearby at Shadow Cliffs Park & wanted to enjoy local wine & something to eat that's NOT a chain / franchise. I found Fusion online & decided to check it out. Interior was clean, quiet, with nice bar & TV's to watch soccer. We opted for the shaded outdoor patio which has umbrellas & lovely lantern decor & plants. We only planned on having wine & appetizer but the pours in the flights were generous & so we stayed a bit longer than originally planned and added a steak & egg dish to enjoy with the local red flight. Ok the glasses were not wine glasses for the flight ( that could be cuter) but more importantly the pours were good! The staff were extremely attentive & made sure to come check on us ( we were the only table outside for a bit). The owner Tammy also came out to make sure we were enjoying everything. She was super friendly and I think the care she puts into the food & ambiance comes through clearly. Definitely worth a return visit when in Pleasanton. read more

This new restaurant/wine bar is so amazing in so many ways. Its story will inspire you to visit, and the food, wine, and service, will keep you coming back. The owner, Tammy, is the most kind and genuine person you will ever meet. She told me when she immigrated from Vietnam, it was her dream to open a bar, but to make ends meet, and to provide for her family, she worked at and eventually owned nail salons (her nail salon T's Nail Bar right next door has been my go-to for years). Now, she is finally able to have the restaurant of her dreams. All the recipes are her own, the wine and beer are from local wineries/breweries. So far, I have had the Vietnamese pancakes, crab cakes, seafood bruschetta, gyoza, papaya salad, calamari, fried wantons, chicken wings, and various glasses of Sauvignon Blanc. The food is exceptional it's Vietnamese fusion and it's so fresh and extremely flavorful!! My friend and I checked out this place this afternoon, and we had a great experience! We ordered two mocktails, the crispy chicken, and the fried wontons (chicken & seafood). The food was delicious, and the mocktails were fantastic. They even gave us the extra ginger beer that didn't fit in the glass, which was a nice touch. The service was excellent, and the staff were warm and friendly. I especially loved the outdoor seating--it was relaxing, comfortable, and such a fun place to spend the afternoon. This has been my 3rd time there and going again Saturday night from 6:00-8:00 for live country musician. This is like your "Cheers" bar. Not overpriced wine, like many places. I'm so happy they have red Cabernet options. The staff is incredibly nice and attentive. The owner came over to check on us and make sure we were happy, too. Everyone there really wants you to enjoy your dining/wine experience. I tried the pork banh mi sandwich and it was really good. I'd love the bread to be a little longer instead of taller, but it was crunchy and tasted great. The steamed gyoza was absolutely delicious. The garlic edamame was perfectly seasoned... The garlic was surprisingly not too strong at all. The portion size was also perfect. My sister greatly enjoyed her meal and drink, too. She said the lettuce wraps were perfect. She liked the fried chicken Rangoons. It looks like this wine bar is finally starting to get great business, too! It had a lot of people there... on a Wednesday!
