Wow. This winery is a bit off the beaten path but not too far out (maybe 1/4 mile from Concannon)…read more Service was so quick for us as we walked in for a tasting. The most beautiful venue (see pics) We sat inside, but I think it is more beautiful (and cooler) than the courtyard garden. We did a tasting of 7 wines for $40 which was a good deal. From the very beginning, Diane went above and beyond to help me plan this special day. She answered my many questions, worked through every accommodation with me, and made the entire booking process seamless. Her kindness, patience, and genuine enthusiasm made me feel like she was just as invested in the celebration as I was. By the end of the planning process, I had unofficially promoted her to honorary bridesmaid status. When we arrived, Valeria and Kayla were fantastic. They immediately jumped into "surprise mode," graciously playing along by checking us in at the host stand and escorting us to our table without giving anything away. Their teamwork helped keep the bride-to-be completely unsuspecting until she walked into a room full of family and friends. Valeria also accommodated my request to play a millennial throwback playlist, and every hit had us singing along--it was the perfect soundtrack for the afternoon. Our server, Skylar, was equally wonderful. She made excellent wine recommendations, was attentive without ever making us feel rushed, and truly made us feel at home. Even after our reserved time had ended, she warmly invited us to stay and continue enjoying ourselves. What was supposed to be a two-hour brunch turned into nearly four hours of laughter, wine, and celebrating, and we never once felt like we were inconveniencing anyone. The beautiful winery, delicious brunch, excellent wine, and stunning atmosphere were everything I had hoped for. But what truly made this experience exceptional was the people. Diane, Valeria, Kayla, Skylar, and the entire Murrieta's Well team created an experience that felt warm, personal, and genuinely special. Planning a surprise from start to finish can be stressful, but thanks to this incredible team, all I had to do was enjoy watching my best friend's reaction. Thank you for helping create memories we'll cherish for a lifetime. We can't wait to come back!

Upon entering, we checked in on the side and were greeted by such a lovely host. She was incredibly patient and helpful in helping us choose the wine we liked. She was so determined to make sure we found something we truly enjoyed before committing to a bottle. We were given the option to sit anywhere we wanted, and shortly after, another staff member brought our bottle along with complimentary snacks. We also learned that you're welcome to bring your own snacks , which is such a nice touch! The atmosphere here is so peaceful and lovely. I always have wonderful service with such nice staff who love to share their love of wine with my friends and I. I feel like each visit, I learn something new! We typically sit outside and bring our own snacks. Bent Creek feels homey, with no fluff or frills and having to act like we know what we're doing. The highlight of each visit is probably introducing my friends to ports with chocolate and how it changes the flavor! It's a pleasure to visit, and I can't wait to come back.

We reserved an indoor spot, which was indicated to have no time limit. We were having a wonderful time relaxing, enjoying a wine bundle special we purchased, and sharing a charcuterie board. However, our experience was ruined when a host approached our table and asked if we were close to leaving because there was a long waitlist. Several other tables had arrived before us, yet none of them were approached. This treatment felt unfair and left a very bad taste in my mouth. After many years of enjoying my membership, this experience has made me seriously consider canceling it. Please be better.

I'm shocked that Wente's score isn't higher- PLEASE give it a try!…read more Arguably the best winery in Livermore, and a top contender with the big wineries in NorCal. The Wente estate is absolutely *stunning*, and worth a visit just to enjoy the scenery. There isn't a bad view to be found. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon without a reservation- all seats inside and on the immediate patio were taken (shocker!), but we were offered seats either in the tasting room, the lawn, or by the fire pits- not bad seating at all! The atmosphere is very elevated, with beautiful decor inside and out. Across the Wente grounds are multiple buildings, including a concert venue. We enjoyed our visit so much, we came back for a special tasting event with Carolyn, the CEO of Wente. An absolutely fabulous night hearing about the history of Wente, which made me appreciate the winery and its impact not only on Livermore, but in the wine world! Very cool, I highly recommend the event if you are able to snag a ticket!

Parking was plentiful, everyone we encountered was friendly, and check-in was seamless--our names were on the list and we were welcomed right in. So far, so good. Now, let's talk about the "welcome glass of wine" that was included with our tickets. Calling it a glass was extremely generous--it was more like a sip. Think communion at church. Honestly, it wasn't enough wine to take a Tylenol with, if needed. If the wine needed to be stretched to that degree, I think it would have been better to either build the cost of an actual pour into the ticket price or simply eliminate the welcome wine altogether. The tiny serving came across as unnecessarily skimpy and, unfortunately, made that part of the experience feel a bit cheap and low-budget. In addition, there was only one water station at the entrance !which I felt was outrageous considering we were in 90+ degree heat. You'd think the water would be plentiful, especially when water wasn't allowed inside of the venue. Wente needed to ensure water was more available. Nonetheless, with a little better planning, that could easily be improved. The food selection was also exceptionally lackluster and could use a more elevated approach, especially considering the beautiful setting and overall caliber of the event. There were taco bowls without salad dressing, chips, and pork ribs, but not much variety beyond that. Something as simple as individual charcuterie cups, a beautiful fruit assortment, small bites, or a few more upscale options would have made a significant difference. As an event planner for my own company, I tend to look at event logistics through a microscope, so I don't want to drag them--the event had a lot going for it. However, the food offerings and welcome drink definitely need some attention and refinement. On the other hand, the music, ambiance, and overall vibe were fantastic. We genuinely enjoyed ourselves, and despite the areas that could be improved, we would absolutely consider attending again. With just a little more attention to the food and beverage experience, this could be an outstanding event from beginning to end.
