This a a very unique winery in which 3 wineries are located in one premises. Themes of each winery are a bit different. You can chose to drink at one place or all 3. If you plan to drink at all 3 then they have a deal for you that you can utilize. For all 3 wineries, you need to visit this place a little early so you can enjoy the place. They have some seating outside where you can bring your food and eat it with a glass/bottle of wine. Seating is ample and makes a great spot for picnic during a nice sunny day. They play live music in one of the winery. I guess that is 'The Singing Wine Maker'. Loved the ambience. The staff was really friendly and nice. Ladies pouring the wine are amazing and gives you an overview of all the wines they are pouring. They sell some cute merchandize that you can buy at very reasonable prices. I cant say enough positive things about Tesla Vintners. The Lot itself is comprised of 4 tasting rooms: Ehrenberg Cellar, Pat Paulsen, The Singing Wine Maker & the last i checked- Lone Dove (note sure if they are there still). They offer an all in one tasting deal in which you pay a flat fee of $24 and get tasting for all 4 tasting rooms, or its roughly $10 per tasting room if you opt to only try 1-2. This all in one deal can be purchased at whichever you stop at first. I am "whine club" at Ehrenberg, mainly because I love the people. Mr. Ehrenberg himself is the coolest guy and really fun to talk to, hes so passionate about his wine. I love every minute of my visits. Also, the singing wine maker is at the top of my list, its ALWAYS a good time. I have to say, the concept for this was fantastic - a group of wineries all offering joint tastings for the price of one? Sounded amazing! Unfortunately, the execution was not phenomenal, since I really would only return to the Singing Winemakers out of the group. The other two wineries weren't my favorite unfortunately and I likely won't be returning to them. In addition, the grounds themselves were somewhat run-down, with a large white tent out front, gravel parking lot, and a hodgepodge of plastic outdoor furniture on the patios. Something to note is that Lone Dove is no longer included in the Wine Tasting series offer, so the deal is now $20 for three wineries (Singing Winemaker, Ehrenberg Cellars, and Pat Paulsen) or $15 with the Yelp check-in deal. As far as being pet-friendly, Ehrenberg and Pat Paulsen both had outdoor seating so we could bring our dogs. If you are planning to go to the Singing Winemaker though, it is best to leave the dogs at home. The sixth and final stop on our wine tasting tour of Livermore: We really enjoyed our tasting with The Singing Winemaker! The aptly named singing winemaker graced everyone with his presence for a few minutes during our tasting. He played Green Day's "Time of Your Life" and brought me back to senior year of high school haha. The tasting cost $5 each. You can include the sparkling wine flight (do it!) which contains four varieties including raspberry, peach, and almond flavored in addition to the standard sparkling wine, in your flight. Then, you can select four more wines to taste from their menu which contains about 12 choices. The sparkling wine flight was awesome! We especially liked the almond sparkling wine. After that, we tried all of the red wines (they had 8, so we each chose a different set of 4). Out of all of them, our favorite was the Melody wine which was a blend of Malbec and Tempranillo. Our pourer was friendly and informative. We decided to buy two bottles. However, they did not waive the tasting fee, because of our purchase. I feel like that's a bit stingy on their part, so that's why I'm not rating this place as five stars. I would definitely recommend coming here for a tasting though. read more

This had to be our favorite spot. It has a small tasting room and tiny shop and portable restrooms but the champagne was amazing. The atmosphere was so much fun, the Singing Winemaker serenaded our bachelorette and everyone in the room was singing. So much fun. I reccommend the Almond Champagne. Visited the singing winemaker while here. I got the flight of the sparkling wines and choice of three others. The sparkling wines were all my favorite...especially the raspberry. I then chose three reds (they were out of shiraz and I didn't try the zin..so, I chose the other three reds). All were really good. The ladies pouring the wine were friendly and personable but the guy who comes out and plays the guitar and sings was pretty cool....and he takes requests! The flight is only $5 and Yelp gets it half off for your first check-in! They have lot's of other home goods and wine items for sale here. The Highlight of our Wine Tour! This place was so good, we came here twice. It was our first and last stop on a 12 person bicycle tour of Livermore Valley wineries and we had a marvelous time. It's not as big as the neighbors, it's not as well known, but it makes up for those points by being wonderfully fun and chock full of fantastic selections. When you go you really must try their flight of sparkeling wines prior to a flight of the reds/whites; they're nothing short of amazing. I personally went home with a bottle of their remarkable Peach Sparkling and a bottle of their Melody (red). The amazing staff are knowledgeable, funny, incredibly friendly, and even came outside to help us do a bunch of group photos (a dozen laughing revellers riding bikes through wine country need a lot of pictures). To top the experience, you must be sure to time your visit to coincide with a performance by They Singing Winemaker! He's talented, fun, entertaining, and so clearly loves what he does for a living. This man has the best job in the world and it's written all over his face when he's singing to his patrons. We should all have a career which makes us that happy :-) read more

What a great little tasting room! The property isn't much to boast about, and the area we did find inviting to do photo ops was actually off limits and we didn't know until we got yelled at by some guy who came running over snapping at us the way you do when you are telling a stray dog to stop picking at your trash... So, I'd say just park and head straight inside to taste! They have cute little things to paruse & decent prices that will convince you to buy. We made off with some festive Napkins, a hilarious flask for a girlfriend, and several bottles of wine! hee hee This is an EXCELLENT place to go for that unique bottle of wine to bust out at the end of your dinner party - a.k.a dessert wines and late Harvests... Not impressed. Maybe it's because it's a holiday weekend. Maybe it's because my group I was with seemed a bit off? Two Asian guys and a white girl? Maybe they didn't like the fact that I wanted to use the Yelp check on deal for 50% off a tasting.But service was terrible. We walked in and didn't even get greeted for a few minutes, which was fine but there were only two other people in the tasting room. I understand that they were setting up to have a live band or whatever it was but geeez. It was already 2:30 in the afternoon. To the wine...the most important part obviously. I had a splash of the sparkling, and the almond was pretty good. The reds were not, and I'm a cab girl.i even tried making small talk with the lady pouring, because it was that awkward. We were so put off by the experience that we paid and left without even finishing our tasting. Came here a couple weeks ago for a wine tasting day, and had a great time! We were the only ones in the tasting room at the time, so the woman hosting the tasting gave us her full attention and was able to walk us through all of the wines we tasted, including what dishes to pair them with and how they compare to some of the other wineries in the area. They even had a few ciders to try, which isn't something I've seen before at a winery (more at breweries, but still not too common overall). There are 3 tasting rooms all in the same lot here, so for 2 you can taste 4 wines at each room, and I highly recommend taking the deal! Tesla not only has awesome wines, and a nice welcoming atmosphere, but their customer service was second to none we started and ended our afternoon of tasting, here. Once he pulls out the guitar and begins to sing with wonderful voice you won't want to leave. We'll definitely be back. My favorites were Peach Sparking, Almond Sparkling, Scherzando(White) and a group FAV Dolcissimo(Blush). Overall not a great experience. There are 3 wineries in the same enclave. The first one, sorry forgot the name, looks a bit low scale.. the pours were very very small. And the selection was very limited. The best experience was the last one.. more selections, generous pours and better decor. Prices were cheaper than most places, and one of the few that offered yelp coupons. So, may be some value for money, but in retrospect I should have gone for other wineries in Livermore. This was my first time wine tasting in Livermore and this winery absolutely MADE MY DAY. This was by far the best winery of the day for a number of reasons. First, the atmosphere is great and welcoming. Second, the wine is delicious (especially their peach champagne- our group bought 4 bottles of it). Third, the singing really brings the group together and obviously creates a great experience. Everyone that works there treated us like family and made sure we had a good time! The singing winemaker even offered us a ride to our next destination (because he was leaving as well). My boyfriend and I have become regulars at Tesla Vitners. We have been here four times within the past five months, and we usually bring a handful of new people with us to enjoy the experience. Each visit has been great! Steve and his crew are always so welcoming to us. Our most recent visit was this past weekend, and despite there being a group of 9 of us, he excitedly welcomed us inside, picked up his guitar, and made sure everyone had a great time with good music and good wine. Summary: This tasting room is shared by three wineries: Marr Vineyards, The Singing Winemaker, and Miramont Estate Vineyard. They had some quite good wines that were a good value, and no bad wines that I tried. Nothing I tried was exceptional, but nothing was charging exceptional prices either. The singer (the singing winemaker...) really made the atmosphere much less appealing (more details on that at the end). I will be back because the wine is definitely worth a return visit, but with earplugs next time. Now the details: They have a list of about 12-15 wines that are currently being served, and you choose 6. From singing winemaker I tried: 1. Raspberry Sparkling: This is decent champagne with a light fruitiness from the raspberry. The extra acidity I expected from the raspberries didn't seem to be there, and this was a well balanced champagne, with just a bit more crispness than you might normally expect. At $14 bucks, I'd rate this a decent buy. 2. Almond sparkling: Not quite as good as the raspberry champange, but still a decent champagne. Priced the same, so I'd prefer the raspberry, but its still a worthwhile purchase. Again, the flavor of the adjunct was light and not overpowering like some might be. 3. Con Amore '02 Tawny Port: At first I was nervous trying an '02 port, since usually wine being served that late after they were made are delayed because of bad flavors early on. However, ports are often the exception to this rule and generally need more time to mellow. This did prove to be the case. Fans of a traditional style tawny port will be impressed by this port. The grapes are also traditional, using touriga nacional and the less common souzao. At 20 bucks, its worth the price for this relatively sophisticated port. Note, fans of a sweet port probably won't be too into this wine, but give it a shot, maybe you like tawny port and just didn't know it yet. 4. Sherzando: I admit I had to look up the Malvasia Bianca grape this wine was made from, I had never even heard of it before. Apparently its used for madeira wines. This is definitely not a madeira style wine. This wine also has some muscat included, and is more what you would expect from that grape. It is a little flabby for my tastes, but has some nice fruitiness to it. If the acid level was a little higher, I would consider this worth a purchase, but as is I don't think its quite worth the 16 bucks, but is close. My girlfriend apparently disagreed, because she bought a bottle. From Miramont: 1. Eclipse: Not much to say about it. It wasn't bad, well balanced, typical flavors for a cab blend. The zin added a little spice to it, but not much. Definitely a fairly drinkable cab as opposed to a big tannin-bomb. This is not what I would consider a cellar-worthy wine, but one you should buy and drink soon before it loses too much of its fruit flavors. We tried the "dry" version, not the sweet version. I didn't try a 6th wine because I couldn't handle the guitar playing and singing any more and my friend and I had to leave. Its not that he was particularly bad, its just that I can only hear ball-less versions of 60s folk songs so many times before I want to remove my eyes with an icepick. Throw in renditions of contemporary pop songs done in the same style, and now I'm really stressing. It didn't help that he threw mountains of reverb on his voice and guitar, and then amplified both in a space where an unamplified acoustic guitar and singer would be borderline too loud. The servers were complaining a bit that people weren't clapping for him between songs, and while I appreciate the its hard work playing music for people, nobody asked for this aural assault. Maybe the lack of applause should be a sign. If the singer reads this, here is a tip: go up to Chouinard vineyards on the second saturday of any month. They have somebody singing and playing acoustic guitar. He is better than you at both, not necessarily because he is more talented, but because he is much more tasteful and not obnoxiously loud. He is also doing some of the same songs as you, so its not a fundamental problem with the material. He gets applause between songs for a reason... read more
