This place took over dumpling time and we decided to give it a try last weekend. It is huge and nicely decorated. Has a decent amount of customers at lunch. The food is a bit different from the regular Mediterranean places. Hummus is hot with pine nuts and brown butter. I am a suckered for pine nuts so loved it. Branzino was nice lamb shish kebab was a little dry but decent in taste. Flatbread was nice and thin so feels somewhat healthy. The ice cream has a hint of pinenut too and is very rich. Service was actually really good. The servers were attentive and changed plates between courses. The bill was lower than expected. All in all very good value for money. Will definitely come back.

I first found out about Meyhouse from our former Yelp CM Emma, so it seemed fitting to try it out with new and old friends I have met through Yelp over the years. Thanks to Cheryl, she arranged an evening for 8 of us, Yelpers like Hazel, my husband and I, George F., Steve T. and their wives for a night of great food along with an entertaining Marina Crouse jazz show. Doors open an hour and half before our earlier showtime, so we were able to enjoy our dinner and catch up/get to know each other before the show, while giving the performers our undivided attention when the show started. Those with tickets to the jazz show dined in a separate room where there is no bad seat in the house, even though we were lucky enough to be seated front and center. We got started with complimentary sparkling wine upon seating followed by a delicious bread and dip. Half the table did family style, while the other half ordered food for two to share. The mantu serving although smaller than other places, is flavorful and worth the price. The chilean seabass is just a tad more cooked than we were used to but still soft even if not as buttery. The tenderloin skewer was cooked to perfection and definitely lived up to its name. The lamb liver was good but will probably skip next time. The acoustics is perfect and a great way to spend a Friday evening but would love to try out their lunch menu and/or happy hour in the future.

Meyhouse opens in the San Ramon City Center. Grabbed lunch there earlier in the week with my wife and discovered their excellent Turkish flatbreads. One was like a kachapori with cheese and sausage. Another was a spread of thinly ground beef. Later that week Cheryl M. got together a group of Yelpers for an evening of dinner and Jazz. We ordered a table of food, everything from tomahawk steak, Chilean sea bass, chicken skewers, sweetbread, beef tongue to marinated mackeral. The food was very good but the Jazz was even better. So glad they opened just minutes from my home. Plenty of parking. The service is good.

Meyhouse is a wonderful spot to get people together to connect, listen to great music and enjoy some modern Turkish/California cuisine. Restaurant is beautiful and spacious with private area (seats maybe 60) in the back for music and dinner. The evening was a group of 8 (almost an UYE: Hazel, Joyce and Brandon Z, George F and Steve T) and seated front and center. Music featured Marina Crouse and you can hear the rawness of the vocals and band playing. They were truly amazing, engaging and energetic and got the crowd going! Not a bad seat as physical distance from the stage is minimal offering a closer connection to the performers FOOD: 4 stars Complimentary bread and sparkling wine to start off :: Beef Turkmen manti - super delicious with a thin wrap (almost like a won ton skin) with a savory, spiced filling on labneh. One of the best I've had! :: 13oz Rib eye - simple but prepared perfectly with lemon/olive oil mashed potatoes topped with cilantro chutney :: Chocolate profiteroles - custard filled with a chocolate syrup and pistachios - good finish after the savory Split the above and p/person including tax and tip without drinks $60 Others ordered a variety of items that looked yummy. Eyeing the lamb, glazed sea bass and slow-roasted beets with Turkish cheese (pancar) for next time Service was friendly and efficient. Failed to ask for separate checks when ordering but worked with our server Leon and made it happen! Thank you! 20% added to larger parties with the option to add additional with 4% living wage surcharge. Leon and staff definitely deserved it. All gender bathrooms with communal sinks outside. My husband and I had the most wonderful time. Our server was fantastic he was so kind and took the time to tell us about the restaurant and food. Everything we had was 10/10. We went for happy hour but also want to go back for lunch and dinner. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, they did a good job!! Highly recommend if you are on the fence about trying, you will not be disappointed.

I came here for a dinner with friends for a local double date. I was excited when the City Center added a Bay Area staple, since I'd already been to the Sunnyvale location before. I tried the chefs tasting menu in Sunnyvale and learned that I would prefer à la carte, so ordered directly off the menu this time. This SR location had a much more modern vibe to it. Since they're newly opened, they offered all guests complimentary champagne, which was a really nice touch and got the night started off right. For apps, we got the ceviche, brown butter hummus, and octopus, and honestly the apps were the highlight of the night. The hummus isn't my preferred smooth style, but it was tasty and good for sharing. Entrees were a different story. We did 4 family style dishes -- branzino, sea bass, tenderloin slices, and a tenderloin skewer: - Branzino: bland and dry, unfortunately - Sea bass: the fish was just fine, and did not enjoy the greens - Tenderloin slices: thin, dry, and bland...not for me - Tenderloin skewer: probably the best of the bunch, liked the eggplant Overall, the apps were good (not great), and entrees mostly missed the mark for us. We still had a nice time with good company, but I'd come back just for apps and drinks next time rather than a full dinner. After trying 2 different locations of Meyhouse now, I think the flavors and technique are underwhelming for the price point.

Checked this new place out for Lunch. It's a beautiful space and I definitely want to come back for their jazz evenings. Service was friendly but forgetful. Good intentions but follow through was inconsistent (ex: as king for a refill, asking for pepper etc). The Turkish sausage flatbread was yummy! Love the flavor of the sausage and good cheese! I got the durma wrap lunch special- the lemon chicken with roasted veggies as a side. It was good but the "safe" option. Next time I'll branch out and order something more unique like the halloumi or zucchini falafel wrap.

The food is delicious here! I had the lamb chop. My friend order a vegetarian dish and another friend order a steak on a skewer. Everything was delicious. The vibe at this restaurant is awesome. Overall, I really enjoyed my dinner. Hands down to our server Tommy who did an excellent job serving us and checking in on us from time to time.

Came here with some girlfriends on a Thursday night and was pleasantly greeted by the hostess with complimentary sparkling wine. The decor was nice and there is a beautiful sitting area in the front of the resturant. We asked our server for recommendations from the menu and he suggested their most popular dishes. We ordred several of them and they were all very good. For the main entree, I really like the chicken kabob. It did come out a bit late but the meat was very tender and flavorful. We were too full to order desssert. So, will have to go back next time for it!

At first I just walked past this spot and had to do a double take because the decor caught my eye. The interior immediately stood out. it's modern and inviting with lots of natural light, comfortable seating, warm wood tones, and plenty of greenery that makes the space feel calm and relaxing. I loved how quiet it was. It's one of those places where you can actually have a conversation without raising your voice, which feels harder and harder to find. The atmosphere made me feel comfortable and unhurried. There are plenty of vegetarian options, which I was very happy about The service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the visit. We never felt rushed, and the staff were kind and friendly. Plus it's also a jazz club so how cool is that

We went to Meyhouse in San Ramon for my birthday and tried the Chef's Choice. Everything was delicious and we really enjoyed the experience. They had forgotten that it was a birthday reservation, but we still had a lovely time. The food was excellent, and we'll definitely be back!

We were looking for a new venue and my. wife found Meyhouse. She was intrigued by the international comedy show and the Greek food, so she made reservations at the San Ramon location. Upon arrival, we were escorted to a separate area and offered a complimentary sparkling wine, which was a great start to the evening. We were seated right in the front near a small stage decorated with a piano and flowers. The entire setup was elegant. Our waiter was excellent. He thoroughly explained the menu and recommended we try the Chef's Tasting Menu. It was the perfect choice for us since we are not very familiar with Greek food. Every single dish was excellent, arriving as a series of small, delicious plates. I also tried the Raki spirit, which has a distinct hint of licorice flavor that I really enjoyed. The comedy show was fun and lighthearted. We thoroughly loved the evening and will definitely be back for the jazz show.

Blue neon arches, a huge underwater mural, plush chairs and low tables along the back wall. Worth the detour. Chris was working the bar on his second day and greeted us like a regular. I skipped my usual Manhattan and went with the Smoke Break, bourbon with bitters, smoke and black cherry. He nailed it. That is the one I would order again. Kudos to Chris for making the smoke linger and make the drink taste fantastic. I had this one in Oregon and it was cool but Chris did a better job with his method that really did serious justice to the name. My wife wanted the Cucumber Cooler, but they were out of cucumber. She pivoted to Sauvignon Blanc, and they were out of that too. The wine list runs four whites and four reds, so there is not much room to maneuver if the cocktails are not your thing. Chris read the situation, offered up a Paper Airplane since she wanted something refreshing, and put it on the house. Classic good bartending. It was louder than expected for how few people were in the room. On a Saturday with a DJ, music and dancing, I would guess the volume gets close to a rave. Go Tuesday or Wednesday if you want to hear the person across from you, and you will probably catch them fully stocked. My guess is weekends clean them out. Cocktails run 16 to 18 dollars. There is also a 300 dollar tequila and cognac number called La Maria served in a glass rimmed with gold dust, if you have something to celebrate. Happy hour is Tuesday through Friday, 3 to 5. They are on the ground floor of the Waymark apartments at 121 Pringle Ave with a small patio out front and heaters. Great spot to hang out and talk with friends, and a good pre dinner or post dinner stop rather than a destination for the whole night. When those doors shut you are transported somewhere neat. I would go again.

Like I'm sure they'll do something for the Halloween months and I'm sure it'll get all Christmas-y during December. In the summer months when I went, it was kind of an underground island-pirate themed. "Lost Pigeon Island." Now the decor isn't high production or anything , think school dance level production. There was a turquoise aquatic color scheme in a darkish space, a cotton-y material by the door that towered toward the ceiling to give the impression of a 3D cloud. And the feature I was most a fan of was they had these huge 'painted' portraits of a heroic pigeon in the theme for the season. So a pigeon with a shark in one frame, another pigeon in pirates garb in another. And these frames were above the main booths so everyone can just soak up the fun. Place gets busy and they do take reservations. Rezzies might even be mandatory on Friday/Sat nights I'm sure. We strolled in on a lazy Sunday afternoon no prob, but the place was like 85% filled. There was only 1 bartender that time of the day. And these labor intensive cocktails take a while to make. Multiple bottles to grab, different mixers for each drink, different glassware, garnishing fruits or spice and dabs of assorted bitters. Cool tender told us he'll be with us as soon as he can. We said no prob. Probably took a little over 5 minutes for him to open up. But it was entertaining enough watching all these elaborate drinks get made right front of me. Toasted Trader ($18/4*) Bourbon , Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Italian Holiday Tea, citrus and bitters. Not sure if this was made to specs but there may have been a slight alteration. Not that I'd really know but I thought I heard the bartender mention something. But the drink was served up, with a garnish of star anise inside the glass and a cinnamon stick that he lit to smolder. The drink was so smooth and interesting, a touch sweet and sour with a creamy texture even though it was clear-ish. Menu says 'clarified milk punch' but I have no clue on what that entails. I just know it was pretty tasty but think they left out the Cinnamon Toast Crunch part out. Which wasn't a deal breaker. Afterglow ($18/4*) Cilantro infused vodka, cachaca, citrus, ginger, tiki bitters and mango liqueur. Another very interesting concoction this time garnished with popping boba which silhouettes in the warm yellowish cool liquid. We each only had 1 as fun as the drinks are and as kitsch the vibes were, we are just kinda simple and straight forward drinkers. A Ketel n soda and/or a double Jami on the rocks with a beer back. And this block has several choices for such simplicity and lack of theatrics. I'd still come back if I was with the right people and occasion. It is pricey but with the right peeps can be a fun and whimsical out.
