I absolutely love coming down to San Ramon to eat here! It's so modern and classy inside yet still so casual. Parking is usually a breeze unless you're coming for lunch on a Saturday but the city center usually offers a lot of extra parking in the surrounding area! The staff members are great! They're very kind and open to explaining the menu and any specials they may be offering. They're attentive but not overbearing. It's perfect! The restaurant is spotless, everything is extremely clean, the bar, restrooms, floors and silverware. I really appreciate their outdoor seating too! Sometimes city center will hold live music during the summer and even fall winter. so if you can sync up dinner plans with their live entertainment? amazing! Total game changer. The food is absolutely delicious too. Their pizza, salad, pasta and their appetizers!! I've tried at least one item off each of the categories of entres and appetizers they offer and let me tell you, it's worth the price! I haven't had a bad meal here! It's perfect for a date night out with the girls or a significant other or even a solo date! AVOID this place!! Used to be good. No longer. Bait and switch. They advertise Saltimbocca as being chicken breast. Instead I was served three tiny chicken tenders. Charged $27 for this garbage. I used to come here every other week. Now i know they use cheap ingredients and do false advertising to maximize profit. If it was substituted then why charge full price? If I run out of filet and give you chuck steak why would I still charge the full price? Restaurants enter agreements when they advertise and state what they'll serve you. If they don't give you what you ordered. They broke that agreement and should not charge you the same price. read more

Gave this place a second try after management reached out about the first experience and we are glad we did! The service was much better and the food that we got was a better pick than last time. We had the calamari and loved that it also contained veggies and shrimp. The batter was a perfect golden crisp. Then we got the portobello sausage/ chicken pasta which had a creamy garlic sauce we really enjoyed. We also got the hot honey pizza again and asked for it with light cheese and the whole thing to be well done. Came here for dinner a little while back, this is a place we'd been wanting to try. It's in the City Center Bishop Ranch, a nice collective of shops and restaurants. It was a weeknight so we were seated right away. We started off with the crab arancini, which was tasty! I got the penne portobello, which was tasty as well. We needed some veggies, so we ordered the broccolini to share. Not a fan, it was very oily and pretty pricey for what it was. Solid Spot with Great Vibes, Minor Service Hiccups-- We arrived at Delarosa at Bishop Ranch around 3:45 pm and caught the tail end of happy hour. We both ordered drinks from the happy hour menu -- I went with the Chianti, and my wife tried the Sangria. The Sangria was a miss for her, but my Chianti was good (just a very small pour). We shared the Beet Salad and a Sausage & Olive pizza. Both were solid -- the beet salad was fresh and generous enough for two to share, and the pizza was tasty with a good crust. The host was super friendly and seated us immediately, but the bartender who helped us was surprisingly rude, which was a bit of a buzzkill. Overall, we still had a good time. This is a review of happy hour on a Monday. I was promptly greeted by the hostess and led to the bar area for happy hour that was 3pm-5pm. It was pretty much empty so we had very fast service. The bartender was friendly and really great. Delarosa has indoor and outdoor seating and it's a decent size seating area for being in a strip mall. That being said, all chairs they offer are quite uncomfortable. Whether you sitting on stools at the bar with no backing, the stools at a table with no backing, or the cheap feeling chairs with no padding at the tables. The happy hour drink menu is pretty limited. I can't say I was a fan of any of the drinks. I got the cauliflower with aioli. It was very salty and just not impressive. I also got the margarita pizza. I assume the happy hour pizza is smaller and for $8 it's a pretty good deal. The pizza tasted good and I would get that again. All in all: the customer service was great. When dining at Delarosa with my fiance last week on 2/11 for an early Valentine's dinner, I definitely felt that we were overpaying for vibes more than outstanding food or service. I ordered the mushroom pizza (funghi misti.) My fiance ordered the spinach and artichoke pizza, and we split an order of cacio e pepe fries. The mushroom pizza: I really wanted to like this more. Unfortunately it was super dry...so much dryness that I couldn't even really taste the fontina, and the crust was so hard that I found myself dipping it into the sauce that came with our fries to chase it down. I wished this could have tasted a bit richer. The spinach and artichoke pizza: Again, the super dry crust was pretty bland. The leftovers (doctored up with additional olive oil and spices) tasted much better than eating it fresh. The fries: these were the redeeming part of the meal. These shoestring fries had a generous amount of cracked black pepper and a decent amount of grated parmesan cheese. Our server was friendly enough, but when we asked questions, I got the feeling that we might have been annoying him. Perhaps this was an "off" night for them. The interior is pretty chic and I appreciate the cleanliness. When the weather is warmer, it looks like it could be a sweet al fresco dining spot. And the $10 for four small grilled shrimp that I ordered for my pasta came out on a tiny plate spaced out with nothing accompanying them. So weird. Why not put the shrimp on the dish I ordered? We asked our food to be put on separate checks which they were happy to accommodate yet when the food came out, they placed my pasta dish (sort of) in front of my friend and placed my friend's dish in the middle with the shrimp. At first I thought they forgot everything was separate but when we went to pay they did have it separated. My Sangria and pasta dish was $47. Not worth it at all even considering today's prices. It was really busy but it's a big place and they still had a lot of tables . We were seated right away and next to the kitchen, where all the servers came out with the food. The selections though are carefully and imaginatively crafted which made me like Delarosa a little bit more. We were more than a dozen in our party. But we were properly accommodated with the long tables conducive for a family affair. Since the menu was limited, we practically ordered everything in the menu. Our server added that the food was for family style sharing. I highly doubt it: a 'sharable' pasta dish is a single order at Olive Garden. It would say sharable for two at the most. What really surprised me was that all the pasta that came to our table is pretty good. We had multiple seconds on their Penne Portobello. Prosciutto de Parma and Hot Salami pizza were such a delight. The pappardelle with pork was seriously lacking in flavor, and more importantly, pork. There were maybe four small pieces of pork in the entire dish, with the rest being pappardelle in a bland tomato sauce. The hot honey pizza, while decent in flavor, was a floppy mess. We even mentioned to our server when ordering that we'd had this issue on a previous visit and asked if the kitchen could make it crispier, but it came out the same way. Service started off well, but after our food arrived, our server only checked on us once. We also asked for pepper and grated cheese when our pizza was dropped off, but the person delivering the dishes never brought them, so we had to wait until our server came back which was when we were nearly done with our pizza. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience, especially considering the price.
