This place is just great! If you're looking to watch some sports with a relaxing vibe, this is your spot. I highly recommend the inferno bites, I dream of those crunchy little things with a slight jalapeño kick and a nice sweet chili sauce to blend it all together. I've been here several times and the reasonably priced food and atmosphere keeps me coming back. read more

Great little hotdog place with beer on tap... I ordered: The Mac Dog (3.5 stars, $12.22) with mustard added and a side of fries ($2.60) The hotdog was your average packaged all beef dog, no skin or snap. The bun was a decent size to hold everything, but a little too much bread. The American cheese was standard quality, thin but melts well with the heat of the dog. All the toppings were fresh (Lettuce, Tomato, Diced Onions, Pickle Spear). I think the lettuce isn't needed, I'll skip that next time. The Bacon Bits are fresh made good quality smoked bacon, decent size cut, good stuff. The Yum Yum Sauce is their secret sauce, but it was very light and I didn't notice the flavor that much. I assume it is a mayo and paprika based with other spices, not sure. Maybe I'll order on the side next time. The fries are decent restaurant quality, the kind that has a coating of potatoe flour to give some extra texture and crunch, served hot. I think they fry them fresh for the order, nice touch! Raspberry lemonade (min bottle simply company) it was decent, nothing special. Until next time... read more

We love Triple D , we haven't been in lately b/c we were out of town but the crew at the location were just as great as Rob & Chris. I guess they were opening up their new location in Livermore. The hotdogs are good on the gourmet ( ish) side but still delightfully yummy . It's a quaint little restaurant & very clean. Rob & Chris are always consistently wiping down the bar top when they're working . There are two new guys but I can't recall their names but just as friendly & nice as Rob & Chris . I usually have a hotdog w/ no bun & added on top of the fries & a michelada or mini corn dogs same for hubby . We love the vibe which you think you were at CHEERS lots of regulars at Triple D. read more

Went here today on the road to the South Bay. From the guy at the bar to the customers to the two amazing giant hot dogs we ordered. It was all so great!!! Wish we had one in the Folsom Area. I feel like there's no real good place to go grab a quick beer after work in San Ramon that's easily accessible until dare devil dogs came to town. They always have great beer on rotation and if you go enough, they'll learn your beer preferences. Sometimes I walk in and Rob will just pour me a beer and it HITS every time. We used to come here so much that we developed relationships with the regulars. There's always a group of people who are always here drinking beers and talking about sports or whatever's going on, they are always here for a good time and super fun to talk to. The service is excellent, the minute you walk in, you feel like you're a regular too. It's very family friendly, our kids love the "hot dog place". They have great food and it's always rotating with creative new things. I feel like the vibe is stoner food. It's not healthy, it's hearty and comforting and you may need a nap afterwards. And I cannot stress this enough. THEY HAVE THE BEST FRIES IN THE WORLD. If I could put that sentence in bold font I could. GET THE FRIES. Oh also try the chili it is so damn good. And the jalapeño lumpia's are so fire and unique. Our kids love the smash burger also. Just get all the food. You can't miss. read more

I have been here about 10 times and the food and beer are great! Staff is great here with big shout out to people like Jake, Dustin and Chris... Very knowledgeable and tend to cater to your taste in beer and food. I've had two very sour instances at this place where a manager named Robert was working and serving behind the bar, but was very free with his speech and speaking about other people that are regulars at this establishment . I find this very unprofessional and he should not be spewing stuff out like that to customers I have also noticed Robert on the customer side of the bar, drinking excessively and trying to act like he's the boss, while being clearly under the influence of too many beers. If I were the owner, I would remove him from being a manager immediately... It's a very bad look.!! Other than that will definitely come back! read more

The Chicago Dog is the way to go here if you want a hot dog. Seriously just like I've had in Chicago and makes me miss the food out there! Pair that with a crisp beer or a cold soda and you've got the perfect meal. Service is always amazing here. This is the kind of place that has regulars and staff get to know what you like and have it waiting for you when you walk in. Just an awesome local spot that is a great way to spend a few hours. Don't forget they have 4 screens showing sporting events so no excuse not to be here! read more

Small in line eatery that feels kind of like a hidden gem located in a strip mall in San Ramon. What you come here for is comfort food, a wonderfully curated craft beer, menu, friendly service, television to watch, sports or events, and just a jovial atmosphere overall. This place seriously feels like what you think an ideal hangout spot would be. Came here for an early dinner after a day shopping with family during the holidays when I was in town. We ordered a few things to share - stoopid fries, chili cheese fries, smash sausage burger - and some craft beers to wash it all down. I got a tasty triple IPA that was very good. I just wanna know that this is definitely not a spot that you would go to if you are dieting lol. For me personally there's actually also a nostalgia factor in this area because I actually worked at two other places within the same strip mall growing up in the area. So this spot also feels like home for me. read more

Yelp find....I was basically a bar with some seats and tables too. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. I went with the Chicago style dog with side of fries. The hot dog was very juicy with all the fixings as you would get from a Chicago dog. The fries were really good too. For me, I would remove the cucumbers since there was already pickles. read more

Funny & kind workers there. I have cancer so I especially appreciated that! no judgement even though I had mask & my cane. Im Portuguese & when I saw this place online with linguiça n papo secos buns, I had to come try. Small great place, plenty of parking. Food was excellent! Flavorful, moist , fresh. I should have gotten extra bread, one is never enough for Portuguese! lol Muito Obrigado Deus abençoe read more

Small little restaurant with a bar and some sports on tv, they sell hotdogs and alcohol. Service was good and prompt, and very attentive. The food was good I was craving a chili dog. However I do more enjoy being able to pick up my hot dogs to eat them. Be ready to eat with a fork and a knife, or use lots of napkins cause they don't skimp out over here. read more

Super friendly staff! My favorite was the pretzel bites and corn dogs! I also got myself a chili cheese dog and beer flight. The pretzel bite and corn dogs had a clean taste to it, not greasy at all! The chili cheese dog for me was okay but honestly wouldn't mind eating it again. I prefer a bit more firmer hot dog. This one is a traditional American hot dog that feels more like baloney/bologna (if you're proper ahah). They do use the same hot dog for the corn dogs but to me that works as the sweet cornbread makes it work-- it's also a classic. The beer was also good, there were a lot of options so i got their 4 recommendations. read more

We picked up a takeout order from DareDevil dogs. Everything was well packaged and high in quality. Service was really good and friendly. DH said the vibe they were going for is "the Cheers of San Ramon". People were just hanging out and watching sports on TV. DH said everything was explained well and he liked getting a container of housemade relish. Best items were the mini corn dogs and fries. The corn dog batter tasted just as expected...such nostalgia! Fries were hearty, like the ones you'd normally see with fish 'n' chips. Portion sizes were generous. DH really wanted to try this place because of the Chicago Dog. Well, he enjoyed it, but wished the bun was softer. It didn't seem to be what he expected. I'm not a fan of the Chicago Dog flavor combo, but that's me, not them! :) I got the Polish Smashburger. It was very flavorful, cheesy, and salty with a tiny touch of spicy aftertaste. Bun was very robust, like an artisanal roll. Ingredients were fresh. It's great if you like your burgers full of stuff. I actually prefer mine more plain, so it wasn't the best fit. Well, I'm still glad I tried it! I believe it would've been much better paired with a good beer. Little one got the Classic Hot Dog and he really loved it. He couldn't finish the whole thing, so we saved it. He asked for it again the next meal! He said, "it was so great! Two thumbs up!" Overall, a great place to try. High quality good, great service, and unique offerings. read more

Rob is a great guy. I say that mostly because he laughs at my jokes, so he's good audience. Food is solid, and his beer selection isn't 18 IPA's and some innocuous hard cider. My main criticism? I'm not there more often. read more

They had good ratings so we decided to give it a shot. We went in pretty close to them opening. Good selection of beer. Friendly staff. The food was good. We all got different types of French fries. The chili cheese fries were cold, that was a little disappointing. The chili was almost like sloppy joe mix. If it was hot, it would've been excellent. Bacon cheese fries were very rich. I don't recall the other fries we got, but the hubby and son said they were mid. Maybe we should've tried the hot dogs. Next time! read more

Finally got to try this spot! It was definitely worth the drive from the South Bay. DareDevil Dogs is a nice quaint spot. You can tell it's good because there were tons of locals. The ambience is energetically loud, but not overwhelming at all. There are a few tables and seats at the bar as well as along the front windows. For the food, I literally wanted to try EVERYTHING, but I used self restraint and just ordered more than enough. My wife and I ordered... 1) inferno bites - their version of lumpia. Good flavor and a little hint of heat. Nice crunch! 2) Stooopid fries - the name pretty much sums up the fries: crazy, mad, and stooopid food! Great balance and plenty of toppings. 3) Texas Joe - a play on a sloppy Joe. I must say, it's the best sloppy Joe I've ever had! Their chili has a good kick of heat, so beware. 4) Smash burger with spicy policy - one of our faves! So damn juicy and tasty! We couldn't stop by without having a few drinks. I settled for the beer flight. I really enjoyed the Mango-Strawberry seltzer as well! Beer was ice cold! For service, welp, the manager (Rob) is amazing. He was attentive and knowledgeable on his craft! Thanks Rob! We'll definitely be back! read more

I came here with my boyfriend and his daughter and the service was amazing always making sure we were good, the food was really really good. I got the Triple D burger, that was the best burger I've ever had. I absolutely loved how flavorful it was, the fries were really good and well seasoned. We also got the pretzel bites and the were nice n crispy on the outside soft on the inside like I like it with an awesome beer cheese and Dijon on the side, the forbidden fruit dessert was also delicious, I loved that caramel and icecream that came on the side. My boyfriend's daughter was asleep the whole time (shes 4) but when she woke up and ate at home she ate the whole hotdog and liked it. This place is worth going back to 10/10 read more

Really fun spot for loaded hot dogs, fries, and other tasty treats. As we made our choices for our food orders, our server gave us a lot of tips and recommendations. My boyfriend wanted to try this local spot with gourmet hot dogs, loaded fries, and sausage smash burgers on a Sunday afternoon. Im a burger girl, so I had the linguica smash burger, he had the jalapeño polish smash burger, and we shared the Sunday special loaded fries with gravy and scrambled eggs. The linguica "sandwich" I'll call it...was bland, had a dry bun, and was so slippery that everything kept falling out. The jalapeño polish one was even more bland- my boyfriend actually liked the linguica more. As for the fries- I didn't care much for the toppings but the fries themselves? Fire. I could finish an entire basket of their plain fries. Two small things- there's no water on top, you have to buy bottled water- and there's no ketchup bottles either, just ketchup packets...at a hot dog/burger shop? Service was friendly but overall- I left most of the food uneaten and wouldn't go back. read more

I really liked this place. From the moment we walked in on a Saturday evening, the owner/employee made us feel welcome. There were so many options for hot dogs on the menu, and we got the New York Style Dog and the Grilled Cheese Dog (from their hidden menu). The latter was so delicious, nicely grilled garlic bread, perfectly cooked dog, melted cheese (and even more cheese on the side, which I actually just used for dipping the fries). It was satisfying and cooked well. The NY Style Dog had good flavor too, however the bread was a bit hard (not stale, just tough). It was more of a hoagie roll type of bun. And the fries were amazing, thick, crisp, hot, and delicious, perfect for a quick and casual meal this past weekend. The setting of this restaurant was cute and simple, and the place was clean, and not busy on a Saturday night. There are a few tables inside, as well as bar seating. And again, the customer service was super friendly and was the best part about our experience :) read more

This is like a small sports beer bar with great snack foods. Some great fries and the menu items I have tried so far are great! This is a neighborhood taproom, featuring quality beer and a sausage oriented menu. We've been stopping in since DareDevil opened- Rob is a great bartender/owner... KNOWS HIS STUFF. Has an epic memory and a great understanding of beer; he remembered our general beer faves when we hadn't visited for a year (no fault of theirs-- life happened). My husband and I love IPAs, but different styles, and Rob always recommends us the perfect beers for our individual palettes. The food is always solid; but we were extra excited to stop in on Sunday and discover a brunch menu! I had the egg sausage sandwich- 9/10 and exactly what I was craving. My husband got the chimichanga- 11/10. AMAZING. So light and crispy that we had to ask if they used a wanton wrapper. Must visit if you enjoy beer, sausage, and a casual environment. read more

Looking for a good burger? Want a Sunday Football Brunch? Try a Hot Dog place.......... WHAT?! That's exactly what I did on a Sunday afternoon looking to watch a game I wandered into Daredevil after seeing tempting food pics and some unique offerings. Ambiance - Smallish place with 4 screens playing local games. Crowded bar area with simple wooden tables lining the north wall. I took a table with a good view of the screens. Menu - Unique and varied with brunch bites, burgers, and lumpia! I chose a "sausage burger" which consisted of a ground Linguisa grilled with onions, cheese and YumYum sauce. The fresh tomato and crisp lettuce made for a nice contrast, and the Portuguese bun was light and airy. The manager Ron wouldn't give me the bakery where the buns are made..... Fries - Regular fries come out in a big basket and are golden and crispy with a nice potato coating. Overall - A surprise and on my "Hole in The wall" list. Will have to come back and try the desserts, maybe even a hot dog. read more

Ok, I'm a sucker for a wiener and this place did not disappoint! Holy moly. The place is a small, airy and comfy! Chris helped me, I'm not sure if he is the owner but dude has the knowledge. He knew every beer on tap, what and how everything was made and where, dude is a rockstar, thanks Chris! I got a special dog, the Mac Dog, sort of a Big Mac as a hot dog. It was phenomenal. My only critique is that the dog kinda jumped out of the bun when you went to bite it but other than that it was an amazing dog! Good snap, great flavor, all the toppings perfectly balanced. I also go the Inferno Bites, which are jalapeño LUMPIA!!!!! So, freaking good, spicy, crispy, luscious. This place is a must try in San Ramon and really close to Crown Billiards so you can go shoot a few racks after you scarf a wiener! Get here and get this in your belly!!!! read more

Great small casual business to have a bite to eat and try out different IPA beers. There are 4-5 tables where families can sit or folks can sit at the bar and watch one of the 5 TVs. If San Ramon had a local hangout bar, this would be it. Food review: Smash Sausage burger with Jalapeno Sausage (5/5): Smashed sausage patties, American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, specialty housemade YUM YUM sauce on a Portuguese style bun. Quite tasty. A bit messy to eat but not complaining. Sunday Brunch-Brunch sausage burger (5/5): Polish smashed sausage, scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon, tomato, and grilled onions on a Portuguese style bun. Need I say more? 1/2 order of french fries (5/5): Crispy hot french fries (crispy on the outside and soft on the inside) Pickle Bites (3/5): Sliced pickles, Carolina mustard, American cheese wrapped in lumpia wrap, deep fried served with jalapeno aioli sauce. Other people might like this but it was not for me. Note: My wife wanted a unsweetened ice tea but they only serve soda cans (regular/diet), apple juice, and bottle waters for people who don't drink alcohol. They have the food menu (3 pages?) very slowly rotating on another TV monitor so be patient while the menu cycles through so that you don't miss anything. The owner/manager was very attentive and the service was excellent! My wife asked about the chili sauce and he gave her a sample to taste stating that it was homemade "Louisiana style." It was tasty so we'll have to try it next time. read more

I've now been twice within 10 days, and after talking to Rob (bartender/co-owner), I will now be going back to try 5 more items. Thanks alot! I love the menu: all kinds of dogs, smash burgers, appetizers, normal/loaded fries. GREAT. Amazing on-tap draft beers. GREAT. Funny as can be bartender/owner, and super helpful staff. GREAT. What I've tried (so far): =================== 1. Smash Sausage Burger [$12, 5.0 stars] -- I got the smashed Polish, but they also have a Spicy Jalapeno and Linguica versions...whoa! Awesome, and I love how it cooked with crispy edges. It's a smashed sausage patty with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, YUM YUM sauce, all on a Portuguese-style bun. 2. Beer Cheese & Bacon Fries [$4.75, 4.5 stars] -- not house-made, but super good (from frozen) crispy, and loaded with stuff. I only ate half, and 2 days later put in the oven...still crisp and totally GREAT. 3. Little Devil Bites [$7, 4.5 stars] -- lil' corn dogs served w/ Honey Mustard. Cooked to perfection, delicious. May get this every time I come. 4. Chicago Style Dog [$8.50, 3.5 stars] -- an all-beef dog with onions, relish, peppers, pickles, cucumber spears, tomatoes, and mustard. Bun was toasted (not steamed, and a little too much bread (Portuguese-style), and with all the fixings, sour and and kinda bitter. Not my favorite, and not what I remember tasting from a Chicago Dog. It's an experience. With TV's behind the bar, it's not only a good place, but a GREAT place for a game. read more

The food was very good but I have to leave this review to praise the service. I'm not sure if the gentleman working was the owner, but the way he was with all the customers in the restaurant shows that he is in the right place and doing the right things. He was friendly and joking with the patrons, but he wasn't hovering or annoying. Above-average service for sure. The food was great. We ordered the chili cheese dog, sausage smash burger with polish sausage, and fries. The dog was awesome but messy, as to be expected. The burger was such a nice treat. I'd never had a sausage smash burger and I would definitely order that again. The fries were incredible (and they know it! I think the fries are popular among all patrons). Very crispy and delicious. A must order item. I hope this place continues to thrive and churn out great food and service like this. read more

Service here was excellent. The food was average at best. The staff member who was also the bartender was preparing drinks but also checking up on the guests dining in, taking orders, and bringing them out. He did check up a few times which was nice and when guests were leaving, he immediately cleared and wiped down the tables. I tried their chicago style dog which came with cucumber spears, tomatoes, sport peppers, onions, relish, pickle spears, Carolina Mustard and celery salt. I guess I'm not too fond on peppers so I would opt out of that in the future. The bun was soggy. Their stoopid fries which are loaded with sausage were really good. They were fried to perfection and super crispy. Check them out if you're in the area! read more

I almost hate to review this place, because it's so good and so small that I don't want it to get overrun. But, credit where credit is due. DareDevil Dogs is a shoebox-sized bar/restaurant in a strip mall that you could easily miss, but you shouldn't. The people, food, and beer are what make it special. The staff and the regulars are all super friendly, and it's got a genuine neighborhood bar feel. The food is surprisingly good. It's basically all hot dogs and sausages, but they do some really interesting things with them. Some are like smashed burgers, some have Thai-inspired flavors... they're always switching things up. If you're into that kind of thing, you'll find something you like. And the drinks! They have a constantly rotating selection of beers and ciders, and whoever chooses them knows what they're doing. I've literally never had a bad beer there, and I swear I've never seen the same one twice. They even had a whiskey cider the other day that was amazing. Just be warned, it's a small place. So if you're looking for spacious and fancy, this ain't it. But if you want a great, unpretentious spot with awesome people and good food and drinks, check it out. read more
