June 2026 - Sunday brunch Got a table for 8 - wait was about 3 mins :) Servers were friendly and took our custom orders with ease Kids enjoyed their meals, the adults had a wholesome brunch - portion sizes were good ! The restaurant has a nice cozy feel and it's deceptively large with its indoor and outdoor seating If you're ever in San Ramon and looking for a good breakfast/ brunch definitely look for Katy's Korner read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The restaurant was packed on a Sunday morning which should be a good sign. We were seated quickly but everything went down hill after that. It took 20 minutes to place our order, during which time we saw the owner/manager get into an argument with customers and kick them out for waiting for a table in the wrong area. I can appreciate a busy establishment and don't like to review based on service alone. However, when our server finally came he was rushed and rude. The food and value, or lack thereof, is the real cause for such a bad review. The Icelandic Benedict was inedible. The English muffin was soggy and brown with grease or some mystery sauce. A waste of $21. My daughter ordered the Nutella crepes ($18) and they were not filled with anything - just topped with some Nutella and sauce. My husband ordered the Belgian waffle and described it as rubbery. The food was overpriced and not good. Service was worse than the food. read more

The service was horrible!!!! We are in town for my daughter's soccer tournament as soon as we arrived no approach or greeting! Older white male with an accent was sooo rude when we finally sat down at a table he literally threw the menus at us. Never have I ever encountered such horrible service. We left and made sure to let my kids know that they should never be treated that way or allow it ever! read more

Katy's Korner is a super cute local diner that is super popular for breakfast and brunch. My friend who grew up in the area highly recommended it so we went to try it on a Sunday morning around 10. Every table was full! And we waited about 5 minutes. Every one is hustling and bustling around and the walls are covered in decor. Not only is it a cutely decorated place but the food was also so yummy! My corn beef hash came out great and I asked for extra crispy potatoes. read more

This is a hard review. Ive come here for YEARS and have felt a serious deterioration in the quality of food over time. The quality has diminished and the prices have gone up. I usually dont go out for breakfast, especially when I can make it at home for a fraction of the cost. I just left a doctor's appointment and settled here. I ordered hot tea and asked for almond milk and was told they dont carry it for tea or coffee. So odd. Then I ordered the biscuits and gravy plate. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I included a picture to give you a visual of what I was served. They gave me a lot of eggs and potatoes. The eggs had no salt or pepper, the potatoes had too much. The "biscuits" were literally ONE BISCUIT and it was the size of a "biscuit" you would get at Popeyes or KFC. I swear to you. The gravy, wasnt even breakfast gravy. It was gravy they serve with mashed potatoes. It was dark brown gravy that was EXTREMELY salty. I paid $18.99 for this biscuits and gravy meal. I 100% should've gone to Black Bear Diner. I could have gotten a waaaaay better meal for much less. I cannot in good conscience recommend this breakfast to another person. Also, its super dark inside. I should've sat outside but it was too cold. The service was friendly enough. But I was there for the food. That is why it got this rating. The food quality was below average. Please look at the picture for context. read more

Katy's Korner - This was salty, dark brown gravy. Not even the proper gravy for biscuits. The biscuit looked more like an English muffin. Horrible. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - San Ramon, California

It's a cute breakfast place for us to go to. It's right on the corner of a shopping strip. Parking is special- it's a busy area . There is parking - you may have to park a few spots away. Inside and outside seating. We like to sit outside and enjoy coffee and breakfast in the mornings . I like their menu. There is something for everyone . I like the omelette and the staff is really nice . Very helpful and your coffee is always full. I like the walk up ramp in the side - everyone is welcome on the deck outside - I like that they go the next level to help my mom who walks with a cane and can't do steps .. this warms my heart - read more

7/10 Biscuits and gravy - may have read the menu wrong but I expected multiple biscuits, not one. The gravy was good, but nothing to write home to. Eggs were cooked well and they give you lots of crispy bacon!! Benedict was delicious. The potatoes are cooked and seasoned well and the hollandaise sauce is great! I will be back to try more things on the menu! Service is great and staff is very nice. read more

I've been a regular at Katy's Korner and have always enjoyed coming here, but the prices have simply gotten too high for me. Breakfast for two came to $79 with tip. I understand that restaurant costs have gone up, but nearly $80 for breakfast for two is more than I'm willing to spend. Unfortunately, after being a longtime customer, this will probably be my last visit. read more

Food was ok but wayyyy to expensive for how it was. They only accept cash!! So beware! The ambiance was ok and there was a lot of space. There are many better places in carmel to have a meal. read more

The food at this place is pretty good and there is a nice variety of breakfast items to choose from. Even if you're not in the mood for breakfast you could also order lunch too. The ambiance of the restaurant has a good cafe feel or diner feel because that is what it is. The service overall was good too because the staff are nice and friendly. When it comes to problems though they're really only minor ones as its out of the control of the business. There could be long wait times when waiting to be seated due to business as well as long wait times waiting for your food. As for the food itself too there could be items that may not taste good but that's not entirely the fault of the business as not everything will agree with you. In the end, check this place out for if you need breakfast. read more

This place is great to have breakfast any day of the week. We came on a Saturday morning and were immediately greeted and sat right away. The menu was very big but the crab omelette caught my eye. The portion size was huge and came with toast and delicious potatoes. My son ordered the steak and eggs and he cleaned his plate right up. It was really busy but the staff were very attentive. The ambiance was cute and cozy with quirky signs on the wall. I can't wait to try more items next time. read more

Such a cute little place. Plenty of food and very good. Got brunch with my parents and everyone was happy. Definitely cozy, but great service. read more

This was a horrible experience. If you want to be treated badly and served inedible, overpriced food, then this is the place for you. I have no idea why this restaurant was so crowded? Must be slim pickings in this town? Instead of having a "greeter" like most normal establishments they have opted for a "scolder" that would prefer you get back in your car and drive away. I literally witnessed the curmudgeon explode on a mother and her two kids until they finally left in shock. Unbelievable! read more

I ordered the Katy's Eggs Benedict. Not only was the portion small, all poached eggs were over cooked. And there was barely any Hollandaise sauce. Very disappointed. read more

We have been coming here for breakfast for many years since my kids were in middle school(my kids are both Physicians today), the quality of the food was very good like your grand ma's kitchen ! The atmosphere was homey / country , warm , and cozy . The servers were polite and friendly. Unfortunately The place is not the same any more, especially the quality of the food ! The servers are still polite and friendly , the place looks rundown . I guess after 30 years they need some remodeling. Caring previous customer! read more

Our family has been coming here for many years. The last few times we noticed the prices have gone up and the food quality has gone down. Today was the last straw. When I ordered, I asked if I could have one sausage and one piece of bacon instead of two of the same with my meal, and the waitress told me there would be an upcharge for that. It seemed really unreasonable, especially since every dish is already $20. The rest of the meal wasn't any better. Our drinks were never refilled, and some of our food came out five minutes before the rest of the plates arrived. The eggs Benedict was completely overcooked and not runny at all, the waffles were sour, and nothing we ate was worth the prices we were charged. Sadly, this place has changed too much, and we won't be returning. read more

Stopped in to share a quick bite and we enjoyed the classic eggs Benedict. I typically prefer to have the Florentine but this did the job, the English muffin was nice and soft, egg lady perfectly poached, with that golden yolk oozing out as I cut into it, and the sliced ham and hollandaise sauce added the perfect touch. The pancakes were aesthetically pleasing, reminded me those IG stories of the Japanese soufflé pancakes...but the taste was okay, nothing to rave about, it's a pancake! The staff are friendly, cooks are quick, and ambiance is quaint. Stop in if you're in the area. read more

First time I came here was 2 years ago when I first moved to the area. I took my mom who was visiting out of town. First impression the inside was cute. Service was slow and the food was very bland. Overall we weren't a fan. Gave it a second chance recently with my husband. We sat outside on the patio which was nice. Service was yet slow, our waiter never checked in on us while dining. Although upon ordering the waiter recommended the chicken fried steak to my husband, and I got the Belgian waffles with sausage. The chicken friend steak was really thin and super bland. My order was one small waffle (definitely not Belgian) and one small sausage. I asked for over hard eggs and got over easy.. also the waiter never brought out creamer for my coffee when I asked. This place could have a lot of potential but definitely needs some work in customer service and the food. read more

Came here for Father's Day! We were seated right away. The host was a little eccentric, seemed annoyed to seat us. He was older man and Threw our menus down and didn't even crack a smile. The service was quick and fast. Our food came out within 5 minutes of ordering. I got the crab Benedict which had fresh lump crab meat and a delicious hollandaise sauce with fresh country potatoes on the side. It was pricey but A good portion. My brother ordered the corned beef and hash and said it was just okay. My dad ordered the omelette and was pretty standard. Overall we probably won't be back based on the high prices and average food. read more

I recently stopped by Kathy's Corner Restaurant and had a good experience overall. The service was fantastic--super fast and friendly. The staff made me feel right at home. As for the food, it was decent. Not the most amazing I've had, but certainly good enough to make the visit worthwhile. My Belgian waffles had a little bit too much Nutella, but besides that If you're looking for a spot with quick, friendly service and a solid meal, Kathy's Corner is definitely a good choice! read more

Excellent service, kind, prompt, frequent checks, but never annoying. I had the calamari steak n eggs. Cooked perfectly. The calamari steak was lightly breaded and the size of my whole hand. The 3 eggs are medium size and three slices of thicker than usual sourdough toast. Perfect. The country fried potatoes were perfectly seasoned. My hubby had pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausages. He requested no powdered sugar. The pancakes were overcooked, surprisingly, not what he complained about. He grew up on pancakes, box or homemade, so he is a good judge of pancakes. He could tell that these pancakes were from a quick mix, only add water, and dense. They were not light and fluffy. But he enjoyed the warmed syrup and whipped butter. Please improve your pancake batter mix!!!! We will be back to try the benedicts. read more

In a world of California-cuisine and hip decor, Katy's revives the experience of an upscale diner. It feels "local," and the experience is reinforced by the flood of regulars who show up for breakfast. I had the Katy's Benedict, and the food was delicious. Admittedly, the portions were average, and with the fruit instead of potatoes, the plate was a little empty. However, the flavors were just right. Service was responsive, friendly, and efficient. I was there to catch up with a colleague over business, and they tolerated refilling our coffees many, many times! The ambiance is diner-like in classic images and prints on the walls. It's fun to see stuff that may have been from the 1940s-1960s or reproduced to look that way. Prices were normal for the area. And, parking is easy (always a plus). Some friends have noted that they can feel pushed to hurry up and eat. We didn't feel that, but perhaps they knew we were not moving.... Thumbs up! read more

Katy's Korner, San Ramon: 2023 Dec 17 (4 of 5) I've visited this place once on my way to work. Back then, I ordered to-go. This morning, I'm meeting my friends for a sit-down breakfast. We all agreed that the food was good, the service was good, and the location was great. Oh, and the coffee was exceptional. I had two cups. The outdoor seating on this cold day felt comfortable because of the heat lamps. Our server did a great job. He was attentive and pleasant. All told, this is a really nice place to meet-up for a sit-down breakfast. Thumbs up. read more

Go here every time I'm in area for business. Menu provides many options and they stick to what they do best- breakfast. Nothing fancy, just consistent service and food. Typically stick with oatmeal, fruit and coffee, and hits the mark. Small restaurant but doesn't feel overly cramped. read more

Used to be good. Has lost its charm. Last few visits show a clear decline in food quality and service. Side orders are forgotten yet charged for on the bill. Workers appear confused on where to seat patrons while there are plenty of open tables inside and out. Gonna have to call it quits here. Too many other places that do the same thing well. This place needs a reset. read more
