It's a cute breakfast place for us to go to. It's right on the corner of a shopping strip. Parking is special- it's a busy area . There is parking - you may have to park a few spots away. Inside and outside seating. We like to sit outside and enjoy coffee and breakfast in the mornings . I like their menu. There is something for everyone . I like the omelette and the staff is really nice . Very helpful and your coffee is always full. 7/10 Biscuits and gravy - may have read the menu wrong but I expected multiple biscuits, not one. The gravy was good, but nothing to write home to. This is a hard review. Ive come here for YEARS and have felt a serious deterioration in the quality of food over time. The quality has diminished and the prices have gone up. I usually dont go out for breakfast, especially when I can make it at home for a fraction of the cost. I just left a doctor's appointment and settled here. I ordered hot tea and asked for almond milk and was told they dont carry it for tea or coffee. So odd. Then I ordered the biscuits and gravy plate. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I included a picture to give you a visual of what I was served. They gave me a lot of eggs and potatoes. The eggs had no salt or pepper, the potatoes had too much. The "biscuits" were literally ONE BISCUIT and it was the size of a "biscuit" you would get at Popeyes or KFC. I swear to you. The gravy, wasnt even breakfast gravy. It was gravy they serve with mashed potatoes. It was dark brown gravy that was EXTREMELY salty. I paid $18.99 for this biscuits and gravy meal. I 100% should've gone to Black Bear Diner. I could have gotten a waaaaay better meal for much less. I cannot in good conscience recommend this breakfast to another person. Also, its super dark inside. I should've sat outside but it was too cold. The service was friendly enough. But I was there for the food. That is why it got this rating. The food quality was below average. The food at this place is pretty good and there is a nice variety of breakfast items to choose from. Even if you're not in the mood for breakfast you could also order lunch too. The ambiance of the restaurant has a good cafe feel or diner feel because that is what it is. The service overall was good too because the staff are nice and friendly. When it comes to problems though they're really only minor ones as its out of the control of the business. There could be long wait times when waiting to be seated due to business as well as long wait times waiting for your food. As for the food itself too there could be items that may not taste good but that's not entirely the fault of the business as not everything will agree with you. In the end, check this place out for if you need breakfast. read more

This place is great to have breakfast any day of the week. We came on a Saturday morning and were immediately greeted and sat right away. The menu was very big but the crab omelette caught my eye. The portion size was huge and came with toast and delicious potatoes. My son ordered the steak and eggs and he cleaned his plate right up. It was really busy but the staff were very attentive. First time here and no regret! We usually have breakfast around the area while waiting for my Kaiser morning appointment. So far, this place is the best we've tried! Less greasy, hearty, comforting. Stopped in to share a quick bite and we enjoyed the classic eggs Benedict. I typically prefer to have the Florentine but this did the job, the English muffin was nice and soft, egg lady perfectly poached, with that golden yolk oozing out as I cut into it, and the sliced ham and hollandaise sauce added the perfect touch. The pancakes were aesthetically pleasing, reminded me those IG stories of the Japanese soufflé pancakes...but the taste was okay, nothing to rave about, it's a pancake! First time I came here was 2 years ago when I first moved to the area. I took my mom who was visiting out of town. First impression the inside was cute. Service was slow and the food was very bland. Overall we weren't a fan. Gave it a second chance recently with my husband. We sat outside on the patio which was nice. Service was yet slow, our waiter never checked in on us while dining. Although upon ordering the waiter recommended the chicken fried steak to my husband, and I got the Belgian waffles with sausage. The chicken friend steak was really thin and super bland. My order was one small waffle (definitely not Belgian) and one small sausage. I asked for over hard eggs and got over easy.. also the waiter never brought out creamer for my coffee when I asked. This place could have a lot of potential but definitely needs some work in customer service and the food. read more

Came here for Father's Day! We were seated right away. The host was a little eccentric, seemed annoyed to seat us. He was older man and Threw our menus down and didn't even crack a smile. The service was quick and fast. Our food came out within 5 minutes of ordering. I got the crab Benedict which had fresh lump crab meat and a delicious hollandaise sauce with fresh country potatoes on the side. It was pricey but A good portion. My brother ordered the corned beef and hash and said it was just okay. My dad ordered the omelette and was pretty standard. Excellent service, kind, prompt, frequent checks, but never annoying. I had the calamari steak n eggs. Cooked perfectly. The calamari steak was lightly breaded and the size of my whole hand. The 3 eggs are medium size and three slices of thicker than usual sourdough toast. Perfect. The country fried potatoes were perfectly seasoned. My hubby had pancakes, eggs, bacon, and sausages. He requested no powdered sugar. The pancakes were overcooked, surprisingly, not what he complained about. He grew up on pancakes, box or homemade, so he is a good judge of pancakes. He could tell that these pancakes were from a quick mix, only add water, and dense. They were not light and fluffy. But he enjoyed the warmed syrup and whipped butter. Please improve your pancake batter mix!!!! We will be back to try the benedicts. read more

Everyone who owns or manages a restaurant should come here to learn about customer service. On a Saturday morning they are absolutely packed with people enjoying great homestyle food from a perfectly sized menu, but all the servers back each other up constantly. We were probably checked on at least 10 times during the time we were there. The ambiance is straight up middle American diner just like the ones we had in Cleveland. Interior is bigger than it looks from the outside. They also have seating on the patio. I ordered the Joe's Special with ground beef, spinach, mushrooms and cheese. Came with a choice of potatoes or fruit and wheat or sourdough toast. I ordered fruit and sourdough. I rarely need to add salt, but the Joe's Special was missing salt. Not sure if it was left out on purpose or they forgot to add. The fruit cup was good size & fresh fruit. The sourdough bread was delicious, lightly toasted lite butter and thick. We all agreed that the food was good, the service was good, and the location was great. Oh, and the coffee was exceptional. I had two cups. The outdoor seating on this cold day felt comfortable because of the heat lamps. Our server did a great job. He was attentive and pleasant. Katy's is a local breakfast joint that does not disappoint. It's located in a strip mall with easy parking and casual outdoor seating. We shared a Belgian waffle combo with soft scrambled eggs, bacon, and an almond danish- delicious!! I can be picky with waffles but this was fantastic. Thick, fluffy, crispy- the perfect vessel for butter and syrup. And the soft scrambled eggs were actually soft scrambled. 5 stars! read more

Have been rooting for this place to stop its decline for the past few years but will call it quits after another awful visit today. Tried the sausage biscuits and gravy with over easy eggs and crispy potatoes today. Got hard eggs, 3 small chunks of mushy potatoes, and worst of all got a tiny burnt biscuit with a small cup of instant beef gravy from a packet on a side plate. Really? Let's start with the food. That's what you come out for. Meh! The country style potatoes were full of oil, the eggs were not well done at all, the toast was not toasted fully and everything lacked flavor. The prices!? Through the roof. Ambiance? Nothing to speak about here. The service was the last straw. Nobody greeted, no smiles, they threw the menus and the silverware on the table and left us. The server had a bad mood, came twice to ask within the first 4 minutes of us seating to take the order. What's the rush lady!? I know it's time for business and the more tables you churn the more money, but then why would I want to come here to be treated like cattle - eat and go. They didn't want to wait, dumped the check on our desk when we were not even half way through. The whole experience was horrible. Please avoid. read more
