    Mint Julep

Highlight was the Sausage and Shrimp. The rest of the food was pretty bland and unseasoned. The Mint Julep was very watery, kept on getting mint pieces on the sips. The service was okay

Meet some long time friends in San Ramon and they brought us to Clementine's for lunch. No wait for five when we walked in and it wasn't very crowded inside. Nice that we were able to sit for almost two hours to eat and just catch up with friends. Did not realize we were giong to a cajan soul food restaurant. Pretty big menu with lots of choices on the menu. I decided to have the Cajun Burger medium rare with cottage red potatoes as the side. My burger was like any other burger, nothing special but good. The cottage fries were very crispy; maybe a tad too crispy! Service was very good and we were able to sit for a very long time chatting and we never felt that they rushed us to leave. The inside of the restaurant reminded me of chain restaurants that families with children eat at. Food and service were decent.

"Always a pleasure!" It's been a few years since I've been here, but the service and the food is just as good as always. After a hard workout at the gym, I came here for liquid refreshment. The friendly server was glad to help me and she made a few suggestions. Naturally I had to get a racer 5 on tap. Note that they have all kinds of deals on liquid refreshment in the bar. Next time I'm getting that French onion soup. Thanks for maintaining the welcoming, professional atmosphere.

Gumbo is pretty good Chicken and Tater is heck dry it's look like a reheat fried chicken Fried Catfish has a muddy taste and you can tell is not fresh I asked for gravy and they gave me a tiny containers for just dipping my chicken and they're charging me $2.99 Overall I don't recommend this place It's probably good for bar hopping but not dining in

Great service. Diner vibe but also serves alcohol. Spicy Margarita on point. We ordered whole bunch of food, and they were all decent. 10/10 would recommend.

It's been far too long since I properly reflected on our experiences at Clementine! Years, in fact. Your recent visit reminds me how much we appreciate this place. The memory of that evening is still vivid - the perfect glass of wine, perfectly complementing those incredible bar chicken wings. The mango habanero glaze was a revelation; a vibrant, sweet heat that was expertly balanced. And let's not forget the accompaniments - the creamy ranch and tangy blue cheese, each offering a delightful counterpoint to the fiery wings. The freshness of the ingredients truly shone through; you could tell they were committed to quality. It's a testament to their consistency that we've been loyal patrons for so long. I'm already looking forward to our next visit. Perhaps we should make it a regular thing. Thank you

My coworker and I decided to try Clementines on a whim because it's close to our office and wow! I was pleasantly surprised! Upon arrival, the front hostess welcomed us in with open arms and was extremely friendly and nice to talk to. After being seated and looking through the menu, it was so hard to choose what to get because everything sounded so delicious. For drinks, my coworker got the Georgia peach which was SO GOOD & I ordered the catdaddy mocha. I didn't care for it too much because it was super strong so I wouldn't order it again. For appetizers, we got the fried green tomatoes and they were so tasty! We also got some beinets but they weren't anything special. For our entrees, I settled for the fried catfish with fries! I loved the fried batter on the catfish, it was incredible! My coworker got the Ruben sandwich and holy crap, it was probably the best Ruben I've ever had! Overall, I really enjoyed dining here! I would definitely stop by again and try their breakfast!

We were looking for a breakfast place while waiting for our morning medical appointment at Kaiser and we found this sweet spot. The serving is generous, food tasted soulful (not too greasy and salty like any other breakfast places). The service was fast, friendly & warm. It's my 1st time to try beignet and I'm not a fan. Maybe I'll try again from another place. But my breakfast plate is so hearty and filling!

Finally got to try this place after being recommended their hush puppies by my best friend and his girlfriend. However, this trip, I brought my fiancé and his friend. When we got to the restaurant, we were seated pretty quickly. Good start. After getting seated, got to check out their menu which is pretty extensive. After a good long while of checking out their menu, no one showed up. There were waitresses cleaning tables near us but then straight up disappeared. Normally I'm not the type of rush people, but it became so awkwardly long that we had to flag down someone. So...extremely slow service... Eventually, after flagging a waitress down, we finally could order. I decided to order their Cajun salmon, a cup of gumbo, and their hush puppies. My fiancé ordered their jambalaya and Clem's Mac. His friend ordered their shrimp po'boy with a side of red beans and rice. Drink wise, I just ordered their hot chocolate. So the food on the other hand was good. The hush puppies were good alongside the dipping sauce. My salmon was cooked to perfection. The rice probably could've had more flavor to it given it was "dirty rice." But the giant portion of fish was awesome. The Cajun vegetables were pretty good. Nothing special, just your normal vegetable medley. But the seasoning was pretty good. Hot chocolate was alright, nothing to write home about. My issue with the menu and the food? Only a couple of items on the menu are listed as spicy or could have their spice level adjusted. Yet the gumbo which is unmarked on their menu was spicier than the jambalaya. I did get to taste it but it was just too spicy so I forfeited it to my fiancé. My fiancé's friend said that as far as spice goes, the red beans and rice were spicy too which again, he's fine with. But it's just unmarked on their menu. So all in all, glad I got to try the place. Would I come back? Maybe if I was in the mood for their hush puppies or salmon. But given I'm not one for spicy food, I'd rather not have to play spice roulette.

Friends invited me to a last minute lunch and I really wanted to love this place but it fell a little short. Pros: easy parking, lots of eating, cute old school diner vibe. Service: service was a bit slow. It did seem a little busy since it was lunch time but the time it took to put our orders in and be checked on every so often was too long. I had to ask for a coffee refill 3 times and by 3rd time I just gave up on it. The food did come out fast tho. Sampler: had wings, fried green tomorrows, wings, okra. It all tasted a little bland, the okras were a little too slimy and I let spitting out hard pieces of it. The fried green tomatoes were the best thing. Oyster po boy: my favorite po boy is from Brenda's and this does not come close. It was too mushy, didn't taste fresh, and again I had to spit out a rubbery piece. I had a bite of my friends gumbo and that was actually delicious. 4.5 stars for the gumbo.

For being not in New Orleans, the food is pretty darn good. Flavors are like what one can get in Nola and the beignets pretty good.

Is the complete menu available to order takeout from? I want to order a 12 pc chicken and beans & rice in a large quantity.

    Gluten free options?

They had a sign that said they have gluten free pancakes.

I loved the jerk pork tacos! The pork was juicy, tender, and aromatic, and the mango-papaya salsa added a refreshing sweetness. I also tried the paella Oyo that my sister ordered which was sooo yummy and full of protein. The small size was more than enough! My mom ordered the oxtail stew which wasn't on their brunch/lunch menu (dinner only), but I really appreciate that they were accommodating to make that dish for her. I've never had oxtail and it was delicious--tender, perfectly sweet and savory, and paired well with the plantains. The other dishes that my family ordered were hits too (jerk pork shoulder and seafood paella). We also tried the ripe plantains pancake Oscar for a sweet treat. I love anything marshmallow, so the brûléed marshmallow cream that blanketed the pancakes was heavenly. It also came with a plantain on top and a few other fruits to balance out the sweetness. Overall, we left full and all around very satisfied. The staff showed us such warm hospitality and came around often to check on us, despite being an almost packed house. The decor was beautiful and the atmosphere had a fun lively energy. With indoor and outdoor seating options, anywhere you get seated is a nice spot. Can't wait to visit again to try their dinner menu items and drinks, and hopefully catch some live music!

The cheese is rich, smooth, and perfectly melted, coating every piece of pasta without being too heavy or greasy. It's that balance a lot of places miss: creamy without feeling overwhelming. The texture is where it really stands out. The noodles are cooked just right not too soft, not too firm so every bite has that perfect consistency. And if there's a baked top layer, it adds that slight crisp that contrasts the creaminess underneath, making it even better. Flavor-wise, it's deep. You can taste the blend of cheeses instead of just one basic note. It's savory, slightly sharp, and comforting at the same time. It's the kind of dish that doesn't need extras to prove itself it already stands strong on its own. What really makes it memorable though is how it feels like more than just food. It's the type of mac and cheese that reminds you why simple dishes matter when they're done right. It's warm, satisfying, and leaves you thinking about it even after you're done.
