We walked in and were seated immediately. The staff was very nice and brought our food out quickly. The food was good too. They have lots of TVs which is perfect for sports season. There's lots of parking too.

Came here on a Saturday night & the place was pretty packed. Service was great but the quality & portion size of the seafood could've been better. Wasn't spicy at all!

I was a bit disappointed as they had no dungeness crab. The portions were also smaller than comparable places. I also didn't care for everything being single use disposables, even down to the salt and pepper.

I love Bag O Crab, usually. This location in Dublin was different. Their fries weren't as good and I didn't have high expectations for the shrimp po boy but it was dry. On the other hand, staff was attentive, quick, and friendly. There isn't a huge seating space and I don't like how there's no bar at this one. SL Bag O Crab takes the trophy for me. I recommend just ordering seafood boil here and nothing else. They should've given me more sauce for the po boy. Plus side is - affordable lunch.

We had an awesome time here celebrating my birthday. The team that assisted us today were phenomenal. The staff was Efficient, professional, genuine, and made my day extra special. The food was delicious. The restaurant was very clean including the restrooms. We were a party of 20 and enjoyed the outside patio area. We will definitely be back.

I cannot recommend the boil bags but I would try something else. The sauce I picked should have been a combination of 3 or 4. You can control the level of spice. The sauce did absolutely zero for me and even worse the poor quality of the seafood. I did pass other tables that ordered fried seafood, which looked delicious. The service was fine & friendly, the place was clean and had a covered patio, which is probably great when it warms up. It's pricey but aligns with most of these types of spots. Good luck if you go, wish I had better news

Came here on a Sunday night, at around 630 PM and they were full! Even when we walked past it earlier around 3 or 4pm there was a good amount of people inside which was honestly shocking. We were quoted for about a 20 min wait time, and waited about 15 mins so it wasn't bad. Parking in front is limited, but if you park past the divider road over by the petsmart, which isn't much farther, a significant amount of parking opens up. The classic cajun boil menu. Prices seemed very fair. Service was good, we were checked up on a few times. First time for me ordering the snow crab legs, but we got combo #3 which included a pound of shrimp and it was pleasantly surprising to be fresh. We ordered the lousiana sauce and originally wanted medium spicy, but they said it's pretty spicy, so we went down to mild and it still turned out to have a good kick, and I can say I can handle my spice. The sauce was also so flavorful, and garlicky, and didn't feel too greasy actually. They provided the usual bib and gloves, but they had individually packaged gloves which i'd never seen yet, so i thought it's a nice touch. Will def be a returning customer.

Come hungry, because once you start, you won't want to stop! After a long day of shopping at the Livermore Outlets, nothing hits quite like a seafood boil feast at Bag O Crab in Dublin . If you're a seafood lover, this place is calling your name -- they've got it all: oysters, crabs, crawfish, shrimp, mussels, clams, and more. O R D E R E D - Garlic Bread - buttery, garlicky, and the perfect starter. Honestly, who says no to carbs like this? - Dozen Fresh Oysters - so fresh, clean, and briny, they reminded me of the ocean in the best way. - Combo #1 (Mussels + Clams) - I actually ordered this THREE times because one wasn't enough after shopping all day. Perfectly cooked and so satisfying. - Beef Short Ribs - tender, juicy, and a great protein add-on if you want to mix things up beyond seafood. V E R D I C T What I love about Bag O Crab is they let you choose between seasonal seafood or frozen, and they're upfront about it -- so you know exactly what you're getting. Big points for transparency. And let's talk about the sauces. They don't mess around with flavors: For the spice warriors : Mala Spicy, Thirteen Flavor, Atomic Sauce, or Louisiana Style. For those who like to keep it mellow (aka me): Garlic Butter or Lemon Pepper is always the way to go. The vibe here is fun, casual, and perfect for groups. Roll up your sleeves, grab some gloves, and get messy in the best possible way. It's the kind of meal that leaves you full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

Came here for dinner with the boo. This is my go-to seafood boil spot in town. You have to place your name on an iPad waitlist. Their atomic sauce is bomb. I like to get it in medium, but beware your nose might be drooling! The service was pretty quick. There was even a promo going on where you spin a wheel for a prize. We got a free order of fries, which was perfect since we were going to order one anyway! Like most other seafood boil places, the table is covered with paper and they supply gloves, hand wipes, and a bib.

Very popular seafood boil place in Dublin located in the shopping center. It was my first time trying this place after family recommendations and them saying it's pretty good. A few reasons for the 3 star rating, first, I placed a to go order on the phone and ordered 1.5 pounds of shrimp, I even double checked by asking before getting off the phone, that's 1.5 pounds of shrimp right? Because when the lady who took my order repeated the order back to me and said half pound of shrimp, I said no 1.5 pounds and she said oh ok sorry about that, 1.5 pounds .... We pick up the order, get home and there was only half a pound of shrimp I had to call back and place another order then drive 15 minutes to go back. Needless to say, I was not happy about having to make a second trip to pick up more food when I double checked she heard the correct amount. Second, we got the less amount of spice since kids would be eating the food too and finally after 45 minutes we're getting ready to eat the food and it's spicy. At that point I was disappointed and not even hungry anymore.

    To Go Bag
    Nancy T.

Seafood boil ALWAYS hits! I ordered to go and service was fast and friendly! They even gave the cute little bag with insulation for to go, with tons of gloves, wipes, lemon. Sadly it got ruined because the shrimp stabbed through and oil got everywhere inside, but the to go bag didn't leak!! Similar to the other reviews here, the flavor wasn't very strong. Was quite peppery and even though there was A TON of garlic at the bottom of the bag, it didn't add too much garlic flavor. Would still come back though!

One of the best surprises was that they offer fresh crawfish, which is pretty rare to find at most seafood boil places. Everything we ordered was packed with flavor, and the garlic fries were amazingly good. Honestly, this boil spot isn't lacking a single thing. Whatever they are doing, they need to keep it up! My party arrived around 6:38 PM and added our name to the waitlist for dinner. While waiting, it became increasingly clear that more than half of the dining room had already finished their meals. Many tables appeared to be staying simply to watch the soccer match on the TVs. I completely understand wanting to enjoy the game, but at the same time there were 4-5 parties waiting for tables, with groups of various sizes. This raises an important question: at what point does management step in to balance hospitality with serving waiting guests? While no one should be rushed through their meal, when tables have clearly finished dining and a long wait is building, there should be some effort to manage table turnover during peak dinner hours. After waiting about 45 minutes with no indication that seating would happen anytime soon, we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. Ironically, we didn't receive the text that our table was ready until 8:07 PM--nearly an hour and a half after we first checked in. The food may be great, but based on this experience, the waitlist management left a lot to be desired. I hope Backyard Bayou reviews how they handle busy nights and finds a better balance between accommodating guests who want to linger and serving the many customers waiting to dine.

I love the New Orleans food scene and therefore had a pretty high bar for Cajun food outside of Louisiana. I came in a little hesitant because I've been disappointed too many times by the options we have in the bay for Cajun food. But after I opened the box and took my first bite of that blackened shrimp Po Boy I could've sworn I thought I was sitting in the French Quarter again. The nice young lady that took my order recommended the blackened shrimp as an underrated choice on the po boys so I had to try it out. I came stuffed with a Red wine coleslaw, tomatoes, pickle slices and a drizzle of their special sauce (that I can only describe as spicy cajun mayo). 12/10 and I'm not exaggerating I also had a side (and when I say side take it with a grain of salt cause this feeds like 3 people for being a side) of the fresh Crab fries. Not overdone with the ingredients yet what a powerful hit of flavor, the Cajun seasoning usually comes out a bit salty on fries but these guys figured out how to balance it with the fresh shredded crab on top, garnished off with some green onion and more special sauce, this thing made me look around the room to see if anyone else was reacting like this over the food. (And they were! People were sitting there talking about "last time I tried ___ and ___ and it was fire") In the end I saw a guy that looked very proud to be there and was helping around the place while running back to his computer, that was Brett, the owner. I had to go and shake the man's hand and pick his mind a bit. He's a born and raised in New Orleans guy and you could tell by his kindness and southern hospitality. (Dude gave me a delicious carrot cake to go) Unfortunately in the end I had to walk back out into the reminder that I was in Castro valley and not New Orleans but for minute I was able to remember everything that had previously experienced from my trips there and that's what a great meal should do for you. His city should be proud of what he created here. I will absolutely be back to work my way through the full menu and add more pics to this review.

George opted for the Baja Fish Tacos and I got the Meat Lover's Omelette. In addition to the food, we also ordered a couple beverages. Our order didn't take long to arrive. My omelette was made with bacon, sausage, ham, and a medley of chopped vegetables and it tasted pretty good. The accompanied Cajun seasoned country potatoes were pretty pedestrian. George gave me one of his tacos and it was delicious. The deep fried catfish used was crunchy on the outside and moist and flavorful on the inside. Service we received was very good.
