Came here years ago before the pandemic and realized we had been here when we entered the parking lot of this small complex. Ordered Karage and vegetable tempura before ordering the chirashi bowl. Solid 4 stars as the various sashimi in the chirashi was very fresh as well as the Karage tasting yummy, crispy and hot. Our side Japanese salad which came with our meal was also very good with cold fresh crunchy head lettuce pieces which was a part of the salad. Don't you just hate room temperature lettuce in a salad! Miso soup was my least favorite as it was slightly salty for my taste. Service was a forecast this was a legit sushi restaurant however this time around we did not order any maki rolls as we were not super hungry prior to arriving. We knew what time they were closing, and what time was last call so we rushed to eat, even though there were still 5 other parties there. The tall Asian male server was rushing every table to get their checks paid and signed even though everyone was still barely eating their meals. He was so rude to his female co-worker, talking negatively to her. Cursing at her. On top of it all, he was speaking loud enough for us to hear that he was talking negatively about previous customers. If customers and being around others makes you this upset, you're in the wrong business, sir. I came to eat here last Wednesday for my birthday and i'm still dreaming about the sashimi! We got a 12 piece sashimi with an assortment of salmon and tuna. The slices are very thick and come with a bowl of rice that you can eat with. We also ordered two rolls - spicy salmon special and dragon roll. Ordered one of the sashimi salads and the fish was very fresh and was very tasty with the bit of sauce/ dressing. I especially liked the micro greens, cucumber and carrots that added a crunch. On a bed of salad and topped with seaweed. Perfect balance of flavors. I also liked that there were other kinds of sashimi salad. Variety of items will make everyone in my family happy. Waitress was efficient and the service was quick as I didn't have a lot of time to linger. They got me in and out quickly and I appreciated it-I didn't even have to mention I was hoping for something quick. They had lunch specials that I'll have to try next time. We ordered: Dinner Bento Box - 5/5 You select any TWO items: Chicken Teriyaki, Beef Teriyaki, Salmon Teriyaki, Saba Shioyaki, Nigiri (Tuna, Salmon, White Tuna, and Ebi), Tempura, Gyoza, California Roll, Sashimi (Tuna, Salmon, Hamachi, or Albacore). I selected Nigiri and tuna sashimi. The dinner bento also in includes and miso soup and salad. The nigiri sushi was excellent. The variety of fish is fresh. The texture and firmness of the fish was firm and tender. Not mushy soft like thawed frozen fish. If the fish was frozen, then it was flash frozen that closely maintains the texture of fresh fish. The ahi sashimi was delicious too, the slices were not cut in rectangular pieces. They were cut in long rectangular pieces. The thickness of the sashimi pieces were decent. I would order the dinner bento box again. Super Rainbow - 5/5 This Rainbow roll consist of real crab and avocado topped with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, albacore, bluefin, unagi, ebi, and tobiko. Found this place on Google looking for a restaurant near the hotel family was staying at. What a gem! The restaurant is located in a shopping center, with a unassuming store front, but like many small businesses, don't let that fool you. We walked in on a Friday night and it was full with a wait list (they use the Yelp wait list feature, you log yourself in), but there were only two parties in front of us and the wait was less then 20 minutes. Once we were seated we shared an order of garlic edemame and gyōzas. The edemame was full of flavor with lots of fresh sautéed garlic, the gyōzas were crispy and the filling moist and yummy. We ordered a number of rolls, two traditional, two cucumber wrapped - Rainbow, Dragon Crunch, SP Crab and Sakura and one Chicken Teriyaki Plate. The fish was so fresh, prepared beautifully and presented elegantly. Service was quick and everyone was so welcoming. Would definitely visit again if I'm in the Livermore area. Friend recommended to come here. I'm not from this area so I had never seen this plaza or heard of it. Service was good the music was very mainstream which surprised me. Garlic edamame (4/5): such a perfect appetizer to start off your meal. It was super garlicky and there was a whole bunch of mini garlic pieces at the bottom. I just wish they offered a spicy garlic edamame!! Fresh oyster (5/5): one of the best oysters I've ever had at a restaurant. The oysters were indeed super fresh. They were nice and meaty and the flavor was wonderful. The price is also great too, 4 oysters for around $10!! This was the star of the entire meal for me. I would come back solely for this. Dragon roll (3/5): this was pretty standard, not the worst or the best dragon roll I've ever had. It was average. I wouldn't order a roll from here again.
