The food is amazing, portions are big and the service is very good! The place is also decorated very beautifully I love the vibes.

I went to Thailand last year and just couldn't find any restaurant in the US that could compare to authentic Thai food in Thailand... until yesterday when I tried Kin Phed. I ordered several items for pick up, and I have to say that the flavors were authentic. Their pad thai with prawns was probably the best pad thai I could find around the Bay Area. It was just the perfect amount of chewiness and flavor without being overly drenched in sauce. In fact, it was dry but in the BEST way. Trust me. The second item I ordered was the MaMa Seafood Salad, mainly because I read that it was spicy. It truly did hit the spot for spice lovers! I think the scallop could have used more flavor though. Lastly I ordered mango sticky rice, which was also pretty yummy. The rice they used was sweet and the mango was sweet and soft too. I am so glad I found a go-to Thai restaurant near me. I recommend trying this place out! read more

Consistently delightful. Every time we've come here, we try new dishes and each one is tastier than the last. Hard to pick a favorite because everything is soooooo freaking good! You can't go wrong with any dish. If I lived closer, I'd be here all the time! It is 100% worth the drive for me (~1 hour). read more

As growing up in Thailand, I Love this place -friendly and quick service, good for fam and friends gathering - so far what i have tried (Gang Tai Pla, Pad Kee Mao, Southern Spicy ribs, Boat noodle, Kao Soi noodle) taste very authentic, especially their Southern Thai dishes! Which hard to find at other Thai resto. If you can handle spicy, you should try! When we arrived at noon on Saturday, there was a large party dining inside but within 45 minutes, the interior was nearly full. There was one server in addition to another lady who looked like she was helping out but not taking orders so some people looked a bit annoyed having to wait. We ordered: - Crispy chicken/pork dumplings - Pad kee mao (drunken noodles) - Pad see ew with chicken - Massaman short rib (from the Chef's menu) The chicken/pork dumplings were very crispy. I think our friend had trouble eating them. My pad see ew was very good. I order this often when I have Thai food and this one tasted traditional. Our friend enjoyed his pad kee mao and had leftovers for another meal. My husband's Massaman short rib was the star of the show. It was beautiful, substantial, and tasted great. It came with a small bowl of rice. This dish has some heat and an interesting and delicious blend of spices. We would definitely order it again. Overall, a nice experience in a casual environment. Food was very good and we didn't feel rushed to leave. There is plenty of parking in the large lot. They are located in the same parking lot as Terra Mia. read more

Appetizers, salads, and noodles are reasonably priced, but some dishes are a bit overpriced in my opinion (the prawn dish is $27 for only 6 prawns, they are delicious though). The sauces are awesome! VEGAN REVIEW Came here randomly for lunch with a girlfriend, as we were in the neighborhood We shared a noodle dish and a curry. Both were super flavorful with lots of fresh veggies and tofu. Started with the spring rolls that were also good. Thai iced tea made vegan AMAZING Cozy and cute dining area. Great service, they fully understand and accommodate spice levels and dietary restrictions. In a strip mall so there's lots of parking. Only bummer it's no bathroom. Miggy is an incredible host and completely owned the catering from start to finish. I didn't even have to go over to the catering side to check on anything--she had everything handled perfectly, which allowed me to actually enjoy the event without worrying. The food was a huge hit, and our guests absolutely loved it! Everything was prepared and served on time, exactly as agreed upon. 3.5/5 rounded down for me. What initially drew me to Kin Phed were the pictures of the tom yum giant river big head prawn soup and the Mama seafood salad. We came and ordered exactly those, an order of white rice, and 2 thai teas on a Monday afternoon. With only 1 other party and what seemed to be like 1 pick-up order, there was a bit of a wait to get our food. They also forgot our side of white rice so we did have to remind them. The thai tea tasted a bit different compared to others where they really honed in on the spices of the drink. For me, I would have preferred it to be creamier. I did really enjoy the Mama seafood salad; I mean you can't really go wrong with Mama noodles as the seasoning packet themselves is already golden. To my surprise, the tom yum giant river big head prawn soup did not hit the spot. It didn't taste like the usual tom yum profile; it was more on the sweeter side and felt like something was missing. Overall, I'd probably go elsewhere to get Thai food but maybe just maybe I'd come back and try other items. They are still relatively new so I hope their ops gets smoother! read more

Decided to give this Thai restaurant a try with getting a take out order. I ordered the yellow curry with chicken. Overall met expectations but it didn't come with rice. Rice is another $2.50 I also got the yum woon sen. The portion size is a lot smaller compared to some other Thai restaurant in the area. There was no one sitting inside considered that it's already past lunch hour. The decor seems cute and the restaurant is pretty small so I won't recommend for large party. Easy parking. Another note is they charged me 1% for paying w my credit card. I don't really like restaurants that don't let the customer know before making payment that there will be a surcharge. Even though it wasn't much, why not include the credit card charges in your menu price? Any surcharges I see afterward on receipts that I paid without knowing throws me off. read more

Quality/Quantity - Another good find. Yum MAMA Seafood Salad - My order. At our usual Thai place in Alameda, CA, I usually order the seafood salad. This was just as good. My wife and daughter said that it was spicy...? But I did not think so. Also, an interesting dish made with ramen. My wife said let's try to make this at home, lol. Pad See Ew - My daughter's usual. It was good, but the other two dishes were even better. Pad Prik Kang Green Beans - Got mild and it still had a good "kick." The veggies were fresh. Atmosphere - Small local restaurant. Open kitchen. A small restroom, that you have to walk through the kitchen to use. Plenty of mall parking. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 8:30pm; and on Mondays for lunch only from 11am to 3pm. Service - The waitress did a good job. My wife said she was beautiful. Friendly, professional, hard working, etc. The team working the kitchen seemed to have a great time. They did not stop talking the entire time we were there. Then I guess a regular customer came and the owner came out to talk with them. Price - $61 + generous tip. Kin Phed opened where Dandy Dogs once was. A whimsical decor replaced by a mature floral mural, lotsa seats inside. Kitchen, washing machine area, storage space cramped, small. Unusually busy at lunch when I came. Single waitstaff aided by 2 kitchen staff who brought out food. Managed to place order a few minutes after being seated. Got food in 15ish minutes. Offerings (Thai): Thai Night Market Street Food, appetizers, vegetables & tofu, stir fried noodles, noodle soup, entrees, curries, salads, Fried rice, sides, mini hot pot, drinks, seafood. Bites: Leng Zapp (17.95) only served "spicy" -soup wasn't "spicy". Had minute bursts of heat. Fragrant Broth a plus version of tom yum soup-hints of cilantro, lemongrass, onions, fish sauce, soy sauce, rich pork flavor & oilyness from pork fat/meat. -featured meat said to be "pull apart" on 6ish pork rib pieces. Only the small portions pulled apart. The thicker bones had very chewy meat resistant to pulling. Probably not slowly simmered long enough. 3.5 stars not worthy. Soup disappointed. Quality: inconsistent-broth very good, meat-poorly executed. Quantity: reasonable. Ribs lack meat on some bones. read more

Very good food. I think this is the best peanut sauce I have ever had with my chicken satay. Very generous with the satay size, it was super good. Thai iced coffee and tea were very good as well. We came at a very busy time, but were lucky enough to get a table for two in the corner. It's loud, just like it should be, I love Thai restaurants. The service was very good for how busy it was. 3.5/5 One of the newest Thai restaurants in the area. I went about the 2nd or 3rd week they opened around 5pm. Cutely decorated restaurant with plenty of large windows that let a lot of natural light in. Small staff but they were kept busy with the influx of people for both dine in and takeout. Rocket shrimp appetizers were nice and crunchy. Dipping sauce was a sweet chili sauce. The shrimp was larger than I expected which made for a nice surprise. Unfortunately, the 4 pieces were eaten too quickly within a few bites. Tom Kha is a nice alternative from Tom Yum soup if you love coconut milk. The flavor is very prominent. There were a mix of veggies and plenty to share between two people. This tastes much better when hot. I took too long to eat this and it cooled down too quickly for me. The braised pork over rice was so tender and savory, it was like comfort food for someone like me who loves rice plates. The pickled mustard greens gave that sweet and salty flavor profile to the dish. There was also Chinese broccoli (gailan) served with it. The dipping sauce tasted like a diluted sweet chili sauce. I normally like sauce but wasn't a fan of it in this particular dish. I only wish this came with an egg which I believe it normally should instead. The Pad Kra Pao was another comfort dish that was okay but perhaps a bit dry in some pieces. I had hoped for a huge wave of basil to jump out at me, but I was left disappointed. However, plenty of protein in this dish with two sunny side eggs on top! The reason for the 3.5 stars is that there weren't the usual selection of spicy sauces on the side to add to the dish. Most places I've been to allow that option so you can heat it up to your liking. Another reason could just be personal preference but I need the flavors to jump out more. The dishes appeared tamed down instead of amped up with more fish sauce, chili, lime, and basil. I will give this restaurant a second try as I wish all small businesses to do well. read more

Beautiful, well-appointed interior. Trendy decor and tables are touched with gold flatware. Atmosphere is very inviting and clean. Lot's of natural light beams into the dining room. Was very pleased to find that the majority of curries were vegan and gluten free without have to request. I ordered the green curry with veggies. Serving size was darn big, but it didn't stop me from devouring it. In appearance, it looked more like a light red curry, no green hue at all. The veggies were good, but the eggplant was a little too mushy and the broccoli a little too soft. I also ordered the cucumber salad, which was crisp, fresh and the sweet vinegar was SWEET. Very good customer service. The restaurant is located in a complex with many restaurants so I'd guess parking during prime time might be a bit challenging.
