We drive by this restaurant all the time. Thank goodness it was CINCO DE MAYO and we found the great reviews on yelp. Best , most authentic Mexican food ever. We split the mixed fajitas and it was plenty. The tortillas are hand made and the margaritas the best. We will be back!!!

Stopped at this place on the way to SanFrancisco!! It was great , delicious. The food had alot of flavor. Service was great friendly staff!! Plenty of seating!! Highly recommend!!

Burrito with none of the sides that should come with it

Place has just gone downhill since they opened. Staff doesn't follow your order correctly, half the time chef forgets to garnish the plate and even when you ask for a side of something it's forgotten about. For the prices they charge they need to be more diligent and pay attention, you're about to lose a regular!

Stopped in again after many years. When they first opened, the food was really good--unfortunately, not the case today. I came for lunch around 2:30 pm and was seated promptly. The restaurant wasn't busy, plenty of open tables. I ordered iced water and was given a menu. Since it was Taco Tuesday ($1 off street tacos), I asked the waitress if their crispy tacos were like a Taco Bell hard shell or the deep-fried type with meat inside (where you open the shell to add salsa). She replied, "Not like Taco Bell." I ordered two crispy tacos and a side house salad with 1000 Island dressing. When the food arrived, the tacos were exactly like Taco Bell--freshly fried, but still not what I was expecting. I was looking for something closer to a Jack in the Box-style fried taco, only better. Sadly, these were nothing special. The side salad was $8.95, very small, and came with just a few slices of cucumber and cherry tomatoes--more like a $4.75 salad. Overall, the food was disappointing compared to my first visit years ago. Sadly, I won't be coming back.

    Molcajete

Food was solid! Not mind-blowing but solid. We tried the molcajete and enchiladas divorciadas. The molcajete was pretty good and I loved the chicken in the red sauce. The beef was a little tough though. I wish it came with avocado like the other times I've had molcajete elsewhere but maybe I'm ignorant and that they intentionally don't put avocado or something lolol. The meat options for enchiladas were chicken, beef, or cheese and I chose beef, which ended up being a tad dry. I went on Father's Day and they had a trio walking around and taking song requests. Not sure if they always have this but it was super fun and I loved it! Service was a little spotty and slow at times but I could really tell they were doing their best. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Quesabirria was so good! Worth the stop back from SF.

Searched a restaurant in Livermore. And this restaurant popped up. Decided to stop here. We were pleasantly surprised. The food and margaritas were delicious. We will stop here again.

Michelada was refreshing. The California Burrito was okay though. Too much potatoes in my opinion.

Ok so after scouring the menus of all of the other Taco places in Livermore, this place had mushroom tacos as well as zucchini/corn tacos. It's so rare to find vegetarian tacos! Let me tell you, my husband said he would order these in the future instead of carne asada!! So flavorful, textures on point. Super happy :) The guacamole was good and the churros were just ok. The chips and salsa were fresh and great. Modelo on draft....what more can you ask for? I'll be checking out their happy hour next time!

Always so good here Bean dip, ground been and fish tacos today. We always leave so full but everything we order has always been good. They also have a bucket of beers for $30.

Just came here for my first time today and it was a wonderful experience! Our amazing server, Rosa, was very welcoming and super attentive. Some standouts from today were the delicious mimosas and churros! Some of the best churros I've had in the area and the edible flower on top was a great touch. Definitely stop by when you're looking for some great Mexican food!!

Stopped by after a day of shopping at the outlets. Cute little spot right off the freeway, that's situated in a small plaza. There was plenty of parking at 2. We were greeted with a big smile by the staff and seated right away. Everything was very clean and sleek. What we ordered: -Enchilada Al poblano w/ rice and beans- 9/10 I ordered one enchilada (but does come in a 2order) and it was real good l. I was thinking poblano sauce like the pepper but the waitress was kind to explain it was mole de chocolate(that's how I know it as sorry lol), and it was perfect. I will admit a lot more sauce would've been nice because it's my favorite mole sauce with rice and beans but overall still really good. -Quesibirrias plate w/ consomé - 9/10 they did not skimp out on the meat! So yummy and the consomé just hit it right. -Molcajete de mariscos- 10/10 Holy smokes was this packed with everything seafood. My husband ordered this, but I had to try. It had mussels, shrimp(medium& prawn), crab legs, & fried fish, all layered with a yummy red sauce and served with a side of rice, beans, and fresh tortillas. The food was delish and I highly recommend stopping by. I will be back to try their pastries because we had our eye on fried bananas & mango mousse!

As soon as I walked in a woman who was clearly on her break greeted me ,and assisted me to sit where I wanted .This was a pleasant greeting ,and she was on her break .I wasn't sure upon arriving if I was to sit down, or order at the register . I sat down ,and was greeted by a sweet girl instantly ,and ordered the seafood taco with grilled shrimp ,and a blackberry margarita .Wow! My tastebuds are going to town ! The blackberry margarita came in a cute glass with Tamarind on the rim ,and fresh blackberries floating in the drink .It was clear to me , the mixer was freshly made ,and the margarita is going down as one of my favorites so far ever ! Not to mention , the grilled shrimp taco was also bursting with flavor with a chipotle sauce , cabbage ,and pickled carrots ! I'm definitely coming back when I come this way ! Way to go Ta'Con! You have a new customer for life :-)

The apple cider mule was better in my opinion! I think the next time I come back, I'll stick to the food, but fantastic experience nonetheless! Also server for the table next to me almost elbowed me in the head several times while attending to his table. Most certainly accidental but still an undue hazard. Last night I went there for the 5th time. I've been there on dates and with big groups. Most of the time it has been amazing. This last meal, however, was flawless, and it inspired me to share today. First off, we did not have reservations on a Saturday night, and they were still able to get us 2 seats at the bar in 45 minutes, which was a relief. I was open to going to other downtown Livermore highlights such as Bourbon Pear or Il Campo, but was hoping on a whim we could get a seat at Range Life (which would typically require a reservation), since my date had not been there before. Once we got our seats, we were met with amazing service. At the moment I am not drinking, so I was wondering what kind of mocktails or non-alcoholic beers they had. Beforehand I was also wondering if they had a non-alcoholic aperitivo, since I know they have a lot of amaros and bitters. To my surprise, they did, so I had a non-alcoholic spritz, which was amazing. From there, we were only looking to get the highlighted entrées -- a black cod and a flat iron steak -- but we were also talked into getting one of their tartare/crudo options. We decided to go with the Amberjack crudo, which was absolutely amazing. It had mustard greens, fig leaf oil, and fresh early-season cherries, each ingredient something you were able to truly appreciate. The fig leaf oil, the fish, and the cherries were stunning, with the mustard greens providing a nice balance. From there we shared both the black cod and the grass fed flat iron steak. The flat iron steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful (despite being grassfed) that came with an amazing herb butter, mashed potatoes, and a porcini mushroom sauce that was absolutely to die for. The black cod was cooked to perfection as well -- tender, flaky, reminiscent of the butterfish I always have in Waikiki at Roy's. Accompanied by Iocopi English peas, bok choy, and turnips with dashi butter. The peas were, for what it's worth, probably the best peas I've ever had, and the vegetables were perfection. Light but amazing. The combination of both entrées was outstanding. Lastly, we had the famous Milk and Honey -- burnt honeycomb, olive oil, and malted milk ice cream. I've had it about 4 times now, and yet it was still surprisingly mind-blowing. I know something is truly amazing when I have to close my eyes and imagine the flavors bursting like a scene from the movie Ratatouille. I had to close my eyes to truly appreciate the crispy, sweet but slightly savory honeycomb, the fresh ice cream, and the olive oil for balance. The meal was absolutely flawless, and with the aperitivo, the Topo Chico, both entrées, and dessert, it came to $150 before tip. Honestly, it's a steal. I spent $300 at LB last weekend for a birthday dinner -- granted, I did get some A5 wagyu, an $80 14-ounce ribeye, a bunch of sides, and a couple of non-alcoholic drinks, which was amazing, but hardly a fair comparison. And if you go to the city or Oakland, you can easily spend $300-$500 on a meal, more if they have a Michelin star or two (or three). But for the quality you get, Range Life is an amazing deal. The fact that you can get this quality in Livermore is both convenient and remarkable.
