This place is always my go to spot whether I'm grabbing a beer after a long week or heading out for a fun Saturday night. The atmosphere is welcoming, the vibes are great and there's always a solid rotation of DJs keeping the energy up and the dance floor moving. It's become our local go-to Karaoke spot. The regulars know each other and the staff is incredibly friendly. If you're looking for a neighborhood bar with great music, drinks and just a fun night life give this place a try. We popped in here to do a little nightcap dancing after dinner. We saw a crowd and decided why not, since it was only 1230a. Walking in, we immediately noticed it was a college aged crowd. No biggie, we're young looking and not too far from that age group ;), and I love to dance. The DJ played some cool hits, but he was all over the place! There was no smooth introduction into the next songs. It was an abrupt switch to either a completely different genre, or from a fast to faster, or slower backyard bbq tempo, then to disco hits (WTF). A lot of us was standing there confused on how to dance for a moment, and even more confused as to where the disco songs were coming from?! Needless to say many times, people were just standing around talking and waiting for a decent, age related song to come on. The DJ had no clue on how to read the room. Exactly average in every way possible. Not good, not bad, just average. From the food, to the drinks, to the service, everything is just middle of the road. In fairness I will say it can be a good place to watch a game as they're not usually opposed to tuning to game day audio. That said, the sound has to come from the TV itself, not a sound system, so it can tricky to hear when there's people talking around you. Not the staff's fault on that, but would be nice to have better audio options given they appeared to be wired for it already. read more

Rebel is such a great place to go have some bites, a great drink and unwind. There are not many places anymore that have a good vibe, fun hang out and still have a DJ but Rebel does. A group of us went there last saturday night to have some fun. We had a few apps in the back room, which is fun to hang out in, that seems like people dont completely know about. Ummm where do I start? I was looking for some brunch places and happened across rebel kitchen. The pictures looked great and the reviews were decent so I booked brunch at noon on a Sunday. Me and my friends walked in and there were about 6 people at the bar. They immediately all started clapping and cheering which was cute at first but then it was super awkward because after they stopped clapping, they all turned around and continued drinking. No one greeted us or formally welcomed us inside. Inside, oh the inside. I don't know how this place says it's a kitchen, it's a bar. Inside looks really grungy and gives the feel of a dive bar. The floor was sticky which was really gross because it was empty except for the 6 people drinking at the bar. So we walk in and still no one says anything to us so I say we're here for brunch and have reservations at 12, where's the restaurant? Some guy points us to the back of the bar. We walked Through the hallway into a sitting room or sorts. Totally empty and only a few couches but nothing that said restaurant. It was so empty that we thought maybe it was a speakeasy and we had to find the door that would lead us to the restaurant. We're in this room for a couple of minutes and still no one comes to say anything to us, which was weird seeing as how I had specified we were there to eat. So at this point I'm so confused and embarrassed since I chose this place for my out of town visitors, I walk back to the bar and stand there until one girl acknowledges me. I say I'm confused I thought this was a restaurant and she goes "did you send your food order before?" I said no I Didn't know I had to pre order food. They proceed to offer a menu which I declined and we left. No idea what all that was. I felt like I was going insane and was bamboozled by the reviews and pictures. read more

Food was spectacular. We ordered the hawaiian fire wings and it was the best thing we ordered (we love spicy food) The rebel burger was delicious. The food definitely has a Caribbean flare in the food and the sauces. The seasonings are pretty good. Would definitely come again next time we are in Kona to try their other dishes. The restaurant did not seem to have much of an outside view (but again, as we went at night), but the artwork more than inside makes up. The decor was good with the artsy vibe We also loved the sauces and bought the Hawaiian fire sauce and Kona ketchup. I highly recommend this place only if you enjoy getting ripped off. Two cocktails somehow turned into a nearly $400 bill, which was obviously a bartender mistake. My inaugural visit to Rebel Kitchen & Libations was an exemplary experience which indubitably warrants a return visit! Sunday Brunch selection and fare were exceptional! My dining companion opted for a mimosa whereas I decided upon the mango margarita.....both were excellently concocted. We each had an omelette whereupon we sought accommodations which were effortlessly granted. While the culinary fare in and of itself was exceptional (thanks to Chef Phil), the customer service orientation as dispensed by Kellyann was the other half of our superlative dining experience! Hosted a baby shower at Rebel this last weekend and I couldn't be happier! Food was really good and tons of it! Staff was really sweet and helpful and attentive! Coordinator, Gianni, was a joy to work with! We had the whole venue to ourselves! Bathrooms were clean! Super easy to plan, venue did most of the work and the let me in a bit early to set up. The ease of security getting our group in, the bar staff who made sure we were ok and the absolute easiest experience to book the space was great! I came here to celebrate my birthday on a Sunday afternoon with some good friends. It was a beautiful September morning so we sat outside. Even though it wasn't that busy, it was nice to be outside and people watch. This place is a straight up bar, but the seating outside gives it a dining vibe. We all ordered bottomless mimosas and a plate each, boy, their plates are huge! My omelette was good and hearty. Let's face it, it's not gourmet dining, but it's a good time and the food will fill up your bellies. The mimosas were delicious -- I love when they use fruit purée and our server kept them coming. We had such a great time that we stayed until the DJ started playing music. More people came and we started dancing. I did not expect this on a Sunday afternoon. In Livermore. On Saturday night I came here with some of my friends/coworkers later at night. We really liked this spot! They had lots of seating outside and fire pits, lots inside too. They had great music playing the whole time we were there too! The back room even has a pool table that we played on too but it's $2 per round. The drinks were pretty good too especially the Tequila Sunrise! The bartenders were nice and made drinks fast, the bouncers were also pretty nice! We liked that this was a younger crowd of people cause we went to a few spots in Pleasanton before this and it was more older people then us. So it was nice to see mostly people in their 20s maybe 30s here at the oldest. Would definitely come back if I'm going out in the livermore area! read more

My husband and I along with another couple decided to spend New Year's in Livermore as we were trying to avoid large crowds. We found our way going to rebel because this was a place that my husband and I visited many times before and always had a wonderful experience. However, last night we decided to buy bottle service to support the girls at the bar because they were doing such a wonderful job! Moments later you find us being escorted out of the bar like we were some actual rebels. It was because my husband went into the restroom and his brother went right after him to ensure that no one was going to go in because the door wasn't locking. I don't know what the security guard that was wearing a red ball cap & a shirt with a B on it was thinking, but he took it out of proportion and decided to throw my husband and his brother out along with myself and my brothers girlfriend. And the thing that triggered me to write this review was because of how me and my brother's girlfriend were shoved out. It's really unfortunate, because we actually were going there to look for no trouble and ended up being the ones thrown out for a weird reason. We actually really love your steak and fries! So sad! You definitely need to reconsider your security staff. We really like the main consistent security guard that's always there and never gives us trouble! read more

If I could leave zero stars I would! My boyfriend and I were kicked out 5 min after walking in and after we had already bought a drink each (which was over $35). The security came up to us and told us that his manager told him we had to leave because they don't allow people with face tattoos inside the establishment! It was baffling because it's 2024 and tattoos are still an issue? BUT the establishment had a bartender who was VERY pregnant serving alcohol with a crop top on exposing her 8 month old belly. Worst part is the security was clearly not aware of this "rule" until his management told him to get us out. The security asked us to "hurry up and finish our drinks and to leave". He even had the nerve to tell us to "not make him come back to ask us to leave". Worst experience ever! The discrimination was clear as day... maybe because we were one of the very few people of color in the establishment? If the tattoos were the issue then why didn't they have a sign posted saying it? Why wait until after we paid their expensive drinks to kick us out or better yet notify us before allowing us in? If you want to feel discriminated against then go to this place and you'll get the experience! read more
