Omg what a cute fun place and unique menu! Right in the middle of this plaza with a lot of great restaurants all around it too. Simple menu, just pick your broth flavor, and main protein ingredient (chicken, beef or prawns). My only gripe is there isn't a vegetarian option which should be so easy. We got the prawn curry and prawn spicy and fragrant. Both were very good and yet so different, large portions and came out piping hot in the stoneware! Added a bit of vege to it which was also worth it. And the people here are so so sweet! So nice and friendly, helpful with the menu too. Biggest smiles! Wanna come back soon to try the other broths.

The same owner decided to rebrand so the food I loved before (dumplings, skewers and cucumber) and here to stay (phew). The interior hasn't changed with the same funny Chinese sign and karaoke TV. They've now rebranded to make sizzling stone pot soups with a few different base offerings. The unique&hearty signature feels nutritional and warming. The curry has a flavor in-between Cantonese curry and Japanese curry. The mala is spicy, but not dauntingly so, medium to very spicy depending on your tolerance. I haven't tried the tomato or other spicy broth. Then you pick your meat: chicken feet is generous, shrimp are giant, brisket is soft and chicken is juicy. You can't go wrong. The skewers and other snacks continue to be great. Service can be slow - it's literally just two people running the show and each pot is made to order with love. Expect a 30 minute wait per pot. If you ordered rice, it won't come right away but closer to when you get your pot. They're very kind people but busy days are definitely hard! Please be nice.

Im glad YYDS is an option for food in this area for the future. The portions are generous for the price, and the owners are genuinely kind and welcoming, which made the experience pleasant overall. You could honestly share one pot between two people if you're not super hungry. That said, the flavor didn't really stand out to me--it reminded me a bit of Chinese fast food. Flavors were one dimensional for me personally. Also, I noticed my mouth felt really dry while eating, which took away from the experience a bit :( Still a very good spot nonetheless and I would come back!

I want to say I love this place but I can't say that yet. Service is 5/5 They are nice and helpful. Food isn't the level that I expected it to be. We had the beef spicy and fragrant broth. The flavor is there but unfortunately it was so extremely salty. The beef was tender and delicious. Potato sliced thin and I think oily lettuce is bok choy. But because it was so salty it was almost impossible to eat it without rice. We ordered a bowl of rice with it and the soup was more manageable to eat. It was listed as a 3 chili but I can eat it just fine spice level wise. My kid needs a bowl of rice to reduce the level a bit. But then he finished the whole thing except for the potato slices. We also had the fried fish tofu, which I expected it to be tofu but my kid said it was almost like spam instead. So food I would give it a 2.5/5 I hope they will adjust the saltiness level in the future. If they do it would be a solid 3.5/5.

Curry flavor pot with Beef Brisket chunks. Amazing curry flavor!

So this "new" restaurant is actually a pivot from the same owners and cooks of the previous BBQ 85 skewer Chinese food spot. While i am sad that one of the best skewer places is now gone, I appreciate the fact that there is a new cuisine option to try out in Dublin now! To start with I have to say I am not familiar with this type of cuisine but the best way to describe it would be chinese stone pot stew if that is even a thing. The closest comparable thing I could compare it with is Tasty Pot so if you are familiar with that restaurant this is similiar but with bolder and stronger, spicier flavors that seem to be more northern china based possibly sichuan but more than likely a mixed variety across several chinese region cuisines. The ordering is actually pretty simple once you get over the menu options but basically Here is how you order: 1.) you select one of 5 "flavors" for your stone pot stew dish which all include the same combination of veggies, potato slices and onions. 2.) select from a variety of protein to add (chicken, beef brisket chunks, chicken feet, beef tendons or shrimp) 3.) you can then add on additional veggies, tofu or meats even though they are listed across two "veggie" options. 4.) on the back of the menu you can then add an appetizer, rice bowl, fried rice, dumplings, assortment of cold dishes and drinks. And that is pretty much it! I feel they need to streamline the menu more to make more approachable for new patrons. The food is promptly served and I feel each main stew pot is a pretty large portion by itself, probably enough to split between two normal people or enough for one very hungry person. Honestly its one of those portions where I think one of these is too much for one person and not enough for two people but thats up to you and your tummy to decide. I really feel you NEED to add at least a bowl of rice per person as the stew is very rich and flavorful and it is best served over some rice but I supposed you could eat just the bowl contents on its own. For me I love a good heavy sauced "gravy" type food smothered over rice and this combination was amazing with both stew flavors I chose (Spicy and Fragrant with Chicken and Curry with Beef Brisket) The quality of both the chicken and beef brisket was very good as both were very tender and fresh tasting and absorbed both flavors very well and looking forward to mixing and matching the proteins with the flavors. I find the spice level to be just on the edge of tolerable without overpowering the flavors with the Spicy and Fragrant option having a ton of sichuan peppercorn mala flavor with the right amount of oil. They have it listed with 3 chili peppers scale out of 5 and I feel the 5 might burn my face off so I might skip that top level spice flavor. The curry was a tad salty but I love salt so it was perfect for me, especially with rice. I look forward to trying out the additional add on ingredients and different proteins but really loved the two flavors I tried so far so will be hard to try the others as they were really well done and flavorful, especially the curry version. If you like Chinese style curry dish this one really hit the flavor profile I look for. I also feel the value for the food you get here is outstanding as each flavor pot with default protein option is $12.99~16.99 depending on your protein and adding a bowl of rice is 3 bucks for a huge portion. You would be hard pressed to find a set meal of this amount for this price anywhere else in the local area. Would definitely recommend this for people looking for something unique in our Dublin/Pleasanton area as it stands out as something different for Chinese cuisine!

tendon pot with tomato beef briskets with unique sauce heart

My wife and I had an amazing experience here! This is truly a hidden spot that deserves way more attention. I've actually been here twice now, and this is my first Yelp review because the food and service really earned it. We ordered the beef brisket pot with the unique sauce heart, the beef tendon with the tomato sauce, the pork chive & egg dumplings (a must-order), and on another visit we tried the curry pot with brisket and rice. Everything was absolutely delicious -- every dish hit the spot and the flavors were incredible. The portion sizes were huge, and I even had plenty of leftovers to bring home. The owners are super sweet and provided excellent service from start to finish. The ambience is sleek and modern, but still feels warm and welcoming, like a modern version of going over to your relatives' home for a comforting, homey meal. This place is definitely a must-try. I'll for sure be coming back again and already telling my friends to join me next time!

My husband and I were looking to try out new restaurant and found this amazing place! We ordered signature and tomato flavors both pots came out really big and so worth it. The portion doesn't come with rice so if you want some carbs - highly recommend to order with rice. Staffs and their customer service are great and the place was clean and well maintained! 100% we'll come back

Great place if you're looking for something warm and satisfying! It's conveniently located near the highway, with good food and friendly service. The owner is very kind and welcoming. The pots are especially delicious, and they retain heat really well, so you can take your time enjoying your meal without worrying about the food getting cold.

It's kind of pricey, especially compared to the original location in Oakland, but the food is authentic Hong Kong/Cantonese style cuisine. This will definitely satisfy your carb/MSG cravings, lol! We got takeout for a weekday lunch. This is our usual order now: Fresh sliced fish porridge, $14.95 - they always do a great job with this. This is the Cantonese equivalent of chicken noodle soup. The texture is just right, there are plenty of fish pieces, and the flavor is classic, right down to the ginger slivers. Shrimp rice noodle roll $9.50 - DH's favorite dim sum item. It is tender, and the shrimp are large and crispy. Comes with the classic soy-based sauce. Crab meat braised E - fu noodle $24.95 - DH's favorite noodle. This type of noodle is very soft and absorbs all of the flavors from the crab pieces and sauce. Great choice for seafood lovers! Shrimp silky egg chow fun $24.95 - little one's favorite. This one just has such a great combination of flavors. The velvety "gravy" really ties everything together and makes it go down smoothly. This one has flat noodles (cheung fun), like the classic beef chow fun. Comfort food for sure! Sautéed Chinese green $22.95 - this looks to be pan seared choy sum. Seems kind of expensive, but they actually pack a lot of greens into the box. They don't have the veggie clay pot anymore, Barbecue pork $15.95 - they do a pretty good job with this one too. The flavors are really good and interestingly enough it comes with these little beans on the bottom. Pork tends to be a little bit on the lean side. Portion size seems okay. We didn't get the beef chow fun because we didn't need that much food. But that one is a classic here and they usually do a great job with it too. Food is usually ready very quickly and everything was steaming hot. Staff are efficient and friendly. Give it a try; this place is consistently good and I highly recommend it!

We ordered the soup dumplings with fish mew in high soup . It tasted great . Many restaurants don't have this item or they made it not as good . We ordered the egg tofu with veggies, beef brisket, ham and egg fried rice, and the chicken with Chinese sausage clay pot. The beef brisket was the clear winner -- tender, flavorful, and they give you a generous portion. No tiny rationed pieces hiding in sauce. The overall flavor profile was balanced and comforting without feeling overloaded with MSG. The egg tofu was light and nicely seasoned, and the fried rice delivered that classic Hong Kong café vibe. The clay pot had great flavor too, though I personally prefer larger pieces of chicken with less bone. Just a texture preference -- seasoning was on point. Prices are reasonable, especially for the portion sizes. You leave full without feeling like you overpaid. Ambiance is casual and simple. One drawback during the summer: there were quite a few flies while we were dining. The doors were closed, so it was a bit puzzling and definitely distracting. Overall, good flavors, good portions, good prices. I'd come back -- especially for that brisket -- just hoping the fly situation improves during warmer months.

The kung pao chicken had some flavor in the sauce I wasn't totally loving, but was spicy and packed with chicken, peanuts, onions, and bell peppers. The green onion pancake was crispy and delicious, with eight slices to an order. But the star of the show was the yang chou fried rice, which is that fluffy, soft type of fried rice I absolutely love. That was the first thing that got finished at the table. Portions are generous. My brother and I are both good eaters but we still left with leftovers. However, be careful with the take-out containers here; the kung pao leaked for some reason and the containers just felt a little flimsy in general. Luckily they were in a plastic bag, otherwise it would've gotten all over the car. Plenty of other things on the menu to try and I wouldn't object to coming here again, I just wouldn't drive all the way out specifically for it.
