As usual their good is great. The beef chow fun had lots of work hay. My husband really liked the Singapore Style Rice Noodle. He said it had a kick to it that he liked and a lot of shrimp. Our friends ordered the Fresh Mushroom with Golden Egg Yolk which was incredible and addictive. Our friend loved the oyster omelet.

Hong Kong Cafe is a chain restaurant specializing in Hong Kong style cafe food . Example : house special yellow skin chicken , baked pork chop rice in cheese and tomato sauce , pork and shrimp won ton in soup , beef stir fried wide rice noodle , Singapore stir fried rice noodle , baked cream of chicken / seafood soup with puff pastry on top , salt & pepper wings , etc . I ordered the seafood stir fry noodle ( Yee mei ) 海鮮伊麪。It was large portion with lots of shrimp , fresh cuttlefish, Big scallops in a special sauce . It was delicious and the seafood were cooked to just right , tender and flavored. I ordered the cream of corn & chicken soup . Portion size was generous and it was well made . The restaurant has been opened for 3 years . It has a free big parking lot and near by street parking . I have not visited the cafe because the Yelp reviews were not too good . This time I could verify that the chef 's cooking were good . The menu is double the size of most HK style cafe and look yummy .. I also enjoyed their interior design and great customers service . Shall be back soon with friends to try other menu items .

We've been here twice now and it's been my favorite Chinese restaurant that serves Cantonese, Hong Kong style dishes that's very familiar to my tastebuds here in Dublin. The restaurant inside is super clean, and has two large televisions that's perfect for dining inside and watching the World Cup. We ordered a variety of dishes in our two visits and none of them have disappointed. Fried rice: fujian fried rice and yinyang fried rice. Both cooked really well where the sauce makes the fried rice really savory but you can still taste the wok heat from the fried rice. Proteins: the salt and pepper fried pork was really tasty and what you could expect from any Chinese restaurant. The fish and mushroom tofu clay pot was done really well as well, with large portions of fish fillets, tofu and mushrooms. Veggies: we ordered the classic onchoi that was made with both large stems and leaf sides. They weren't old either and was really fresh. Something new we tried that sounded and tasted really good was h the r egg yolk fried mushrooms. Definitely salty from the egg and had the umami from the mushrooms. Overall, I'm so delighted to be living near Hong Kong cafe. It has plenty of parking, open late enough (8:45pm) for a late dinner, and close to downtown Dublin. What more could you ask for?

Came on July 4th for an early dinner, as we left the crowd started to arrive. Not too crowded though. I love the veggies. The Yin Yeung Fried Rice could use a bit more meat. The Portuguese Chicken tasted good. Fried Calamari was good too. Ambiance was nice. Loved the decorations.

Came in for a late lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and was seated right away, not that many people. Beef Stew Wonton Ho Fun Soup, the beef was tender and flavorful, wontons were average size and tasty, but the soup base was blend with no flavor, and the beef stew juices didn't even make it better. Mapo Tofu was very good and tasted great. My daughter loved. Fried Oysters was perfectly fried top with fried garlic and green onions, tasted great. Chili Oil Wontons was good. I will come back for other items. This is a 4 stars establishment, but the broth was not good at all. That's why the 3 star review.

I was greeted when I entered and placed my order to go. I only had to wait for 10 minutes. The restaurant itself was spacious. My food, chow fun, was hot. The fun what soft and nicely seasoned. There was a little bit of green and yellow onions in the mix. The shrimp and scallops were tender and tasted fresh. The chicken, beef and pork all tasted as if they had been cooked the day before. The pieces were tough. Not sure I will be back.

Our group of three went here for lunch. It's a nice, clean place, with comfortable booths to sit on. They had such a big menu with plenty of food selections. We ordered the salt and pepper fried chicken wings which were so crispy, the braised beef ribs with eggplant in clay pot, and our favorite the combination crispy fried noodles. Would love to try more of their dishes when we're out in Dublin.

Went inside to get a take out menu and the female server was very nice and cordial. She even told me to look at the menu that has pictures of the food.

I was craving my some saucey fried Chinese meat dish and this place delivered! Their orange sauce fried spare ribs were so good. They also had the Hong Kong style spaghetti that uses black pepper sauce which I like too. Strings beans were also solid.

Food is mediocre and on the salty side. Good service with lots of HK dishes to choose from but unfortunately not the best. Spacious restaurant and place picked up closer to dinner. Started with the cream of corn puff pastry. The pastry had no puff or layers to it and the cream of corn wasn't creamy. It was more of a corn egg drop soup. The preserved duck egg and pork congee had lots of meat to it but was way too salty. Server was understanding and let us swap to just plain congee. The fried mushrooms were crispy but oily. The baked pork chop rice was underwhelming. Had a pinch of cheese and wasn't broiled. Fried rice with egg on the bottom with a good ratio. Sauce wasn't very tasty and more like just canned tomato sauce. Pork chop was decent. Not much HK food options here but worth a try. Plenty of parking in this plaza.

We really like HK style cafe and I keep going back to this place! Curry fish ball, beef chow fun and calamari were so good!

I came here with my family on Christmas day for lunch and it was delicious! Service was great and they were decked out for the holidays. We ordered a variety of dishes to share family style and they were all great. My favorite was the sweet and sour chicken. Service is fast and efficient. Their menu has a variety of HK dishes which I love in addition to the family style dishes. I would definitely come back!

太好吃喇! I have been absolutely craaaaving HK cha chaan teng food lately, and it just so happened that Hong Kong Cafe was in the area where I was going this past weekend. Boy does this place exude nostalgia for me. Growing up, I used to go to HK every year, and seeing the wall with the various MTR stops brought me back. It's super nice since I also get to practice my Canto (which needs work lately). I'm trying not to lose whatever I remember, so I've gotta practice when I can. The staff are super welcoming, and service is so fast and efficient. The menu is extensive, and you'll always be able to find a dish that suits your tastes/cravings for the day. It's a little pricier than other HK cafes I've been to, but honestly everything is in this economy, and the portion sizes justify the prices. This place was so good I literally went back a day later since I was in the area again. Both times I ordered the classic HK milk tea. I wanted it iced and in the large size, especially since both days were super long days for me. The second day, the tea was even stronger. I haven't been able to find a place that does HK milk tea like this in a hot minute, so I was very happy about it. Be warned, the tea is really strong here! The first day I wanted soup, so I went with the classic 雪茶肉絲米粉 but subbed out the mai fun with ho fun. I was very surprised when the food arrived to my table in less than 10 minutes. HK Cafe doesn't skimp with the toppings here, and the ho fun was perfectly cooked with still a good chew to it. The broth was simple, yet flavorful and comforting. I will say I wish there were more preserved vegetables, since I love them, but overall it was a great bowl of noodle soup. The second day I went with a baked dish, since that is peak HK style food. My favorite baked dish is the 白汁海鮮意粉, and this one took a lot longer to come to my table (for obvious reasons). When it finally arrived, the cheese on top was bubbling and beautifully melty. There was a good amount of seafood, and plenty of spaghetti. I had to take my time eating it because it was so hot. I also couldn't finish this dish and got the rest to go. This cha chaan teng has plenty of seating room, and is honestly a nice place to dine. Both times I was seated at a large booth. There are several tables to accommodate large groups as well. Since I went early both days, I noticed there are people waiting outside the door for them to open at 11 am. Hong Kong Cafe is definitely high on my list of spots to revisit, and if you have never had HK comfort food, this spot is the epitome of it. I'll definitely be back soon to get my HK comfort food fix.

For anyone coming, the parking can be really bad as it shares probably 20 or so spots with several other restaurants. It's near impossible to park nearby with the alternative of parking near the Panera's or even the target. There's plenty of tables and seats inside, and it was pretty slow when we dined in. Convenient televisions on two different sides where all the workers were casually watching, and quite the chatter in the kitchen where they're all watching the World Cup. That doesn't really affect service however as they're quite attentive when called for. We ordered the salted fish and chicken fried rice, and the medium bbq platter with char sound soy sauce chicken. All very delicious! The only thing is that they can bit on the pricier side with $20 for the fried rice and $30 for the bbq plate. Overall, I thought grand cafe definitely scratched our itch for Cantonese style dining experience. It typically comes with great food, good service, and a bit of nostalgia from being from the Bay Area.

My brother and I met a few friends here for dinner on 11/28/2025. At around 7:15pm, the place was completely full. Fortunately, our friends arrived a little earlier and secured a table. The interior was clean. A couple TVs on the walls were showing different sporting and news programs. Their menu featured a wide array of non-Americanized Cantonese fare. We decided to do family style and got half a dozen dishes to share. They were: Beef Filet with Mixed Mushrooms, 1lb of BBQ Pork, Fujian Fried Rice, Beef Chow Fun with Gravy, House Pan Fried Noodles, and Salted Pork Bone and Peanut Porridge. Our food arrived in about 15 minutes. Overall, I was impressed by quality and authenticity. Despite the slightly higher price point comparing to other similar restaurants, they didn't skimp on anything. The rice and noodle dishes were loaded with delicious toppings, and the taste was on point. The BBQ pork and the beef filet dish were both fantastic. The meat/fat ratio of the BBQ pork was just right, and the beef filet cubes were tender and flavorful. The porridge was just okay. My mom's version still reigns supreme. Service we received was very good. Our server was very friendly and gave us helpful suggestions. She did forget our iced water, but I am willing to overlook that. I got a chance the chat with staff before we left, they were all very genuine and friendly people. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience here. The food was authentic and tasty, and the staff were friendly and helpful. If you want authentic Cantonese food but don't want to pay the super premium price, this is definitely a good option for you. I will return. 4 solid stars.

Between the two of us, we ordered a whole Hainan chicken -- knowing that we'd have enough leftovers for dinner later that evening, as well as a baked fish fillet over rice. Like all baked entrees, you should expect to wait around 20 minutes or so for the dish to be prepared. If you anticipate being hungry during the extended wait, I'd recommend ordering some snacks as well, like popcorn chicken or some curry fish balls. The baked fish fillet here is absolutely delicious. If you enjoy Korean corn cheese, this dish feels like corn cheese over rice, with a perfectly crispy fish filet on top, smothered with a white cream sauce. This dish is incredibly rich and each bite feels like a warm hug. You'll definitely be in the mood for a nap after finishing this dish. The Hainan chicken here is probably some of the best in the Bay. The chicken skin has the gelatinous texture of well-prepared Hainan chicken, and the chicken itself is incredibly moist and tender. The chickens they serve up are absolutely massive and a whole chicken should comfortably feed a family of four. The ginger scallion sauce on the side could use a touch of salt, but that's just my personal preference for things to be a tad saltier. Overall, if you're craving Hong Kong diner food, Baby Cafe is a great option in this part of town. I would definitely stop by again for lunch.
