I was greeted when I entered and placed my order to go. I only had to wait for 10 minutes. The restaurant itself was spacious. My food, chow fun, was hot. The fun what soft and nicely seasoned. There was a little bit of green and yellow onions in the mix. The shrimp and scallops were tender and tasted fresh. The chicken, beef and pork all tasted as if they had been cooked the day before. The pieces were tough. Not sure I will be back.

I was craving my some saucey fried Chinese meat dish and this place delivered! Their orange sauce fried spare ribs were so good. They also had the Hong Kong style spaghetti that uses black pepper sauce which I like too. Strings beans were also solid.

Our group of three went here for lunch. It's a nice, clean place, with comfortable booths to sit on. They had such a big menu with plenty of food selections. We ordered the salt and pepper fried chicken wings which were so crispy, the braised beef ribs with eggplant in clay pot, and our favorite the combination crispy fried noodles. Would love to try more of their dishes when we're out in Dublin.

Tried this place that my friend suggested for her bday lunch. A good sized place. Food was ok. Good service. Place was clean and was pretty full for a weekday lunch. Plenty of leftovers.

Food is mediocre and on the salty side. Good service with lots of HK dishes to choose from but unfortunately not the best. Spacious restaurant and place picked up closer to dinner. Started with the cream of corn puff pastry. The pastry had no puff or layers to it and the cream of corn wasn't creamy. It was more of a corn egg drop soup. The preserved duck egg and pork congee had lots of meat to it but was way too salty. Server was understanding and let us swap to just plain congee. The fried mushrooms were crispy but oily. The baked pork chop rice was underwhelming. Had a pinch of cheese and wasn't broiled. Fried rice with egg on the bottom with a good ratio. Sauce wasn't very tasty and more like just canned tomato sauce. Pork chop was decent. Not much HK food options here but worth a try. Plenty of parking in this plaza.

We really like HK style cafe and I keep going back to this place! Curry fish ball, beef chow fun and calamari were so good!

I came here with my family on Christmas day for lunch and it was delicious! Service was great and they were decked out for the holidays. We ordered a variety of dishes to share family style and they were all great. My favorite was the sweet and sour chicken. Service is fast and efficient. Their menu has a variety of HK dishes which I love in addition to the family style dishes. I would definitely come back!

太好吃喇! I have been absolutely craaaaving HK cha chaan teng food lately, and it just so happened that Hong Kong Cafe was in the area where I was going this past weekend. Boy does this place exude nostalgia for me. Growing up, I used to go to HK every year, and seeing the wall with the various MTR stops brought me back. It's super nice since I also get to practice my Canto (which needs work lately). I'm trying not to lose whatever I remember, so I've gotta practice when I can. The staff are super welcoming, and service is so fast and efficient. The menu is extensive, and you'll always be able to find a dish that suits your tastes/cravings for the day. It's a little pricier than other HK cafes I've been to, but honestly everything is in this economy, and the portion sizes justify the prices. This place was so good I literally went back a day later since I was in the area again. Both times I ordered the classic HK milk tea. I wanted it iced and in the large size, especially since both days were super long days for me. The second day, the tea was even stronger. I haven't been able to find a place that does HK milk tea like this in a hot minute, so I was very happy about it. Be warned, the tea is really strong here! The first day I wanted soup, so I went with the classic 雪茶肉絲米粉 but subbed out the mai fun with ho fun. I was very surprised when the food arrived to my table in less than 10 minutes. HK Cafe doesn't skimp with the toppings here, and the ho fun was perfectly cooked with still a good chew to it. The broth was simple, yet flavorful and comforting. I will say I wish there were more preserved vegetables, since I love them, but overall it was a great bowl of noodle soup. The second day I went with a baked dish, since that is peak HK style food. My favorite baked dish is the 白汁海鮮意粉, and this one took a lot longer to come to my table (for obvious reasons). When it finally arrived, the cheese on top was bubbling and beautifully melty. There was a good amount of seafood, and plenty of spaghetti. I had to take my time eating it because it was so hot. I also couldn't finish this dish and got the rest to go. This cha chaan teng has plenty of seating room, and is honestly a nice place to dine. Both times I was seated at a large booth. There are several tables to accommodate large groups as well. Since I went early both days, I noticed there are people waiting outside the door for them to open at 11 am. Hong Kong Cafe is definitely high on my list of spots to revisit, and if you have never had HK comfort food, this spot is the epitome of it. I'll definitely be back soon to get my HK comfort food fix.

Was craving hot n sour soup, noodle soups, and something on the lighter side. Chinese comfort food is def my go to on a cold, rainy day (especially after having greasy food from Great Wolf Lodge - meh). We came by a little before 7 and snagged a table for 4 right before the rush. As expected, the restaurant was busy and staff were working hard, but still greeted and seated us right after clearing our table. Now that is service! Restaurant was clean and seating was comfy - we weren't all crowded into a small space with little room to pass each other. Items ordered: Wonton in hot chili oil- large delicious wontons in chili oil that provided a little kick. Seafood congee- love their consistency and that this is loaded with plenty of protein. Salt and pepper pork chops (minus spice for kids)- our kids' usual favorite Beef stew macaroni soup- delicious and perfect after a day of swimming Hot and sour soup- nice piping hot soup loaded with shrimp, tofu, fungus, and bamboo shoots Wonton noodle soup- large bowl of noodles perfectly done and flavorful wontons Large lemon iced tea (less sweet)- Love this tea! All for $111 before tip! Can't beat that! Def a steal compared to greasy food I just had.

Good stuff! This place is a truly authentic Hong Kong style Café. We got takeout here for a weekday lunch and it was already kind of busy right after they opened for the day. Order was called in and was ready in less than 20 minutes. We ordered some of the usuals. Pretty good portion sizes and heavy on the MSG. My lips are still tingling, lol! Dry Beef Chow Fun - exactly as you would expect it right down to the tenderized beef. This one is a crowd favorite, and you can never go wrong with it. Pretty good "wok hei" sizzle on this one. Green Veggies with Supreme Broth - this one's also very nicely done. Veggies were fresh and tender. Broth has a little bits of ham and garlic cloves in it and it is extremely flavorful. An umami bomb! We used leftover broth to cook frozen won tons and it was awesome! Dried scallop and egg white fried rice - DH really wanted to get this one. Flavors are mild, but it really stands out is the texture. It is fluffy and chewy at the same time. You will get addicted to it! Salt and pepper pork chop - this one's also really good. Breading is flavorful and crunchy. They also give you a good amount of meat. Be careful there might be little bone fragments in it. They have interesting fusion items, the "Chinese style Western Meals", which are like the reverse of Americanized Chinese food. These are weird to Americans, but popular in Hong Kong. Things like baked spaghetti in a casserole dish and pork chops. We didn't try any of these. Unfortunately we don't have an itemized receipt, but it was $83 for 4 items including tax, but before tip. Overall, a great place for a casual, MSG-licious meal!

Hong Kong Cafe is located in the same shopping center in Dublin as Paris Baguette and Mad For Sushi, directly across the street from 99 Ranch. My buddy The Shermanator was in town from the East Coast on 02/15/2025 and we decided to meet here for dinner. We walked in at around 5:30pm and were immediately greeted by the staff. It was already pretty busy, so we had to wait a few minutes before a table was available to us. The interior was spacious and clean. The most eye-catching decoration was the ceramic tile mural of Hong Kong MTR stations. Their menu featured a wide array of Hong Kong cafe and Cantonese fare. After a few minutes of deciding, I got the Baked Portuguese Style Beef Stew with Rice, while The Shermanator opted for the Baked Portuguese Style Chicken with Rice. Our food arrived in about 20 minutes. I was pretty impressed with my dish. The sauce was very authentic. The balance of curry and coconut milk was just right. The meat was very tender, and I loved that they gave me fried rice instead of plain rice. The Shermanator seemed to enjoy his dish as well. Service we received was excellent. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and efficient. The Shermanator was accidentally given spaghetti instead of fried rice for his dish. Once the error was noticed, they immediately worked with him on an agreeable solution. Kudos to them for making things right. For Hong Kong cafe food, the pricing was a bit on the high side. The two rice plates cost more than $50 after T/T. Great spot for some authentic Hong Kong cafe food. 4 stars.

For anyone coming, the parking can be really bad as it shares probably 20 or so spots with several other restaurants. It's near impossible to park nearby with the alternative of parking near the Panera's or even the target. There's plenty of tables and seats inside, and it was pretty slow when we dined in. Convenient televisions on two different sides where all the workers were casually watching, and quite the chatter in the kitchen where they're all watching the World Cup. That doesn't really affect service however as they're quite attentive when called for. We ordered the salted fish and chicken fried rice, and the medium bbq platter with char sound soy sauce chicken. All very delicious! The only thing is that they can bit on the pricier side with $20 for the fried rice and $30 for the bbq plate. The dim sum lunch was authentic HK Cantonese teahouse style and it was a terrific place to meet old friends for loud laughs and conversations. The staff was on point periodically swinging by to subtly assisting us with needs and emptied plates. I understand that this particular restaurant has been open for several years now but I did not realize their chain of restaurants have been for almost 20 years! That's quite a feat in my view. Because of my excitement with catching up with my friends, I did not take much pictures of the food or setting but to affirm, the food was delicious and the tea was smooth, fresh; the eatery was nicely decorated and spacious too. Don't know if my non-Chinese friends understand this, BUT YOU CAN ask for various, different kinds of teas and their combination. Yes, multiple pots too. The dim sum is obviously the center piece but the tea "yum chai" is equally the star in my opinion to complement the foods. I recommend a lighter tea for lite drinkers like Chrysanthemum tea ie flower steeped, no caffeine and floral. However, if you want a bold tea try "Bo lay" black tea for lightly sipping when eating lots and lots of heavy food. Pro-tip: For tea adventurers, try a fusion teapot (e.g. Chrysanthemum + Bo lay), combo tea flavors is different and neat when i crave for a different drink. I'll be back for sure. Hope you do too!

Cheesy, tender, egg fried rice was flavorful. Portion kinda small, as the dish was very shallow. Not a lot of rice. Kinda off tho when it was the first dish that arrived to the table and it was lukewarm. I find a baked dish is typically always last since it needs time to bake, and is served scalding hot imo. That's when you know it's done right. This wasn't that. Suss The baked pork chop with cheese and tomato sauce was so disappointing and super greasy/heavy. The meat was chewy and had an unpleasant flavor. The tomato sauce was not good either. The shrimp wonton noodle soup I sadly cannot recommend, the filling was not good. Had more pork than shrimp consistency. I did not enjoy the flavor. Not aromatic. I will say, the noodles were great quality. Thin, bouncy, correct texture. What you would hope for. The soup was not good. The roast duck was good, with tender meat and fatty skin. Flavorful with the plum sauce. The fish congee was good, though a bit too runny imo once cooled down. The fried donut (you tiao) was crunchy and very doughy. Would be nice if they could slice it. I can agree with everyone about their thoughts on the 18% mandatory tip fee, it's crazy lol. Mandatory service fee for hk service (which is minimal service). It was so hard to flag down the waiter for refilling water, or to get more napkins. The drinks were priced fairly, but the snacks were overpriced for what it is. You order at a kiosk so there isn't much service to talk about, but we did have to ask for a ketchup a few times before they remembered to bring it to us. Maybe I'll go back to try the actual food dishes.
