Premium all you can eat beef combo
    Michelle W.

We were shopping near the outlet in the area and wanted some hotpot after a whole morning of shopping. This was a really great spot close and within 5 mins of drive. The service was pretty good and they were accommodating since we took our toddler with us. We ordered the premium all you can eat (AYCE) lunch combo, and we really enjoyed it. The premium beef and abalone were limited in quantity, but the other meats on the menu were unlimited. The soup bases were very flavorful and maintained good for several rounds of food. One thing we were not happy about was that we found a hair in one of our sauce dishes. It was quite a disgusting experience, given we ate directly from the sauce dish. They were nice about it after we reflected this. Overall ambiance was pretty family friendly, not too loud for family gathering, and is a great option if you're close by to shopping!

When I crave hot pot, Happy Lamb is my favorite spot. I love how flavorful the bone broth soup is and my boyfriend is a spicy lover, so the half and half pot is always the way to go. The premium meat menu is worth it: we loved the 2 wagyu options, the 2 spring lamb options, the fried donut, and the sweet crispy rice cake with the brown sugar center. Off the classic meat menu, the angus beef wasn't tender and we didn't like the fish ball with roe (usually a favorite)- so skip those, but we did like the beef short plate. 2 cons: (1) for an AYCE meal that costs $100+ after tax/tip for 2, I was disappointed that they limited the amount of wagyu orders. I understand capping the amount of wagyu per round, but only 1 order the entire meal? Disappointing! (2) the restaurant completely lost power and unfortunately we weren't able to finish our meal. On top of that, there wasn't reliable cellular signal, so electronic payment was very difficult. Really disappointing that an AYCE meal was cut short =( Would easily be a 5 star review if not for the 2 issues listed above.

Decent AYCE hot pot, although the value is questionable compared to competitors. $29/adult for weekday AYCE; premium meat is $36/adult. Sauce bar/soft drinks are an extra $2 per person. The premium meat comes with a one serving limit for the top desired meats, which eliminates its value... and the basic meats are HORRIBLE quality (very tough, bland). I enjoyed the vegetable bar and found most of my go to's, although some people missed some favorites (ex: bok choy). The spicy broth was okay, but I didn't enjoy some of the spices added to it that overpowered its overall flavor. I found myself dipping into my sauce more than I would with a good broth. The mild "original" broth was bland and should be skipped. Service was very attentive. Some of the menu options were unique (ex: "crunchy crouton"), although it wouldn't be enough to bring me back personally. In the end, it was just under $100 after tip/tax for two people. For that price, I would rather go down the street for a high quality hot pot experience.

The sour cabbage soup is so good! It has a nice spice. The original soup is good too! The staff gave us a cute balloon because we saw a little kiddo have it and asked LOL The fried food station had this really good chicken. The ice cream is more frosty icy but still a nice little dessert. Plenty of veggies and different toppings. They have a sauce and soda area but charge 1.99 per person who uses that. Their meat is delicious! Staff are always nice and pleasant.

This is my first time going to Happy Lamb. The place was packed. I went on a Saturday night. There was a bit of a wait to get a table. My group and I got the premium AYCE option. It was priced reasonably. The broth was decent. The meats were okay. Getting additional rounds in was hard with the staff being busy. Drinks and sauce access is an additional costs The restrooms were not that clean. Parking is abundant.

First time at this location, it's been over 10 years since I've had this chain of hotpot in Union City. Back then we ordered by plates only. Now it's ayce with choices of hot and cold foods up front, ready for you. There are 3 tiers and us gals chose the lowest tier, which turned out to be great and very filling. Even after we paid, we sat for an hour just jabbing away. It was truly quality time. Don't forget to try their ice cream, it was delicious and different!

Review #875 Posted on 4.21.25 We came to Happy Lamb Hot Pot on Friday the 18th. This is an all you can eat style hot pot spot. They've got a few stations with veggies you can pick to cook, also pork, pork belly, shrimp, fish balls, etc. It's smart when you think about it, then you order less meat from the kitchen. The menu for the choice you pay per person has a few options. Basically the highest option you can get the Wagyu style meats, and a few other lamb, seafood items too. You still get access to the other items on the list below that option as well. Broths have about 5 choices, my guess most people get 1 spicy, 1 non spicy. Food was good, and they're pretty on top of checking on you so you can order more meat when needed.

I've tried a lot of hot pot places, and this one really stands out. The option to have two broths side by side is a game changer--especially if you love spicy broth. I actually came here when I was feeling under the weather, and it completely cleared my sinuses out (in the best way ). The selection of sides is great: tons of fresh veggies, savory bites like spring rolls, noodles, and even sesame balls. Everything I've tried has been delicious. The meat is super fresh, and the lamb is definitely my favorite--perfect texture and flavor every time. They also offer ice cream, fruit, and cake for dessert, which is perfect if you're like me and need something sweet after a savory meal. Service has always been excellent. Even on busy nights, we've been seated quickly and the staff is consistently friendly and attentive. Big plus: there's plenty of parking at this location. The location is big inside, clean and I like the seating area

i loved my experience here! other than the hot pot, there were a lot of side options like fried chicken, fried rice, and chow mein. they had a good assortment of veggies, and bonus points for the soft serve ice cream!! the lamb was good quality and i would definitely come back here!

Any kind of broth is perfect for a chilly day or evening. Especially with a choice of mild or spicy or even both. My friends took me here and had was my first time. So many choices to choose from. Got to try a bit of this and that. Their broths are tasty and flavorful. Vegetables were pretty fresh. The service wasn't too bad. They were friendly. We received our orders in a timely manner. Cold night satisfaction!

Happy Lamb, formerly known as Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot is definitely my go-to spot for AYCE Chinese hot pot! They've done a little remodel since the last time I came to this Dublin location, as all the vegetables and noodles are now in a self-serve bar and you just order the meats with the waiter, which I thought sped up service so much more. My friends and I chose the Classic menu where we got to choose from selections of beef, lamb, pork, and chicken. I always think the lamb options are the best. I also loved that by adding $1.99, you got access to their sauce bar as well as ice cream for dessert which is such a steal! Since the weather is getting colder, hot pot is the perfect solution!

    Tommy C.

AYCE. We only ordered one round of meat, averaging one plate per person. Meats were all fresh and nicely cut. There is an assortment of appetizers like eggrolls, and french fries available. Vegetables, our self serve salad bar style. Soda, sauce bar, and soft serve ice cream are available for an extra two dollar charge. Long wait on weekends. Waiters and bus boys are busy running around clearing plates and bringing out plates of meat. Some are helpful and some give zero F's. Busy but comfortable ambience with some TVs for your viewing pleasure. Good place to bring kids Easy parking in the strip mall

    Maggie O.

My family and I love coming here whenever we are in Dublin. We have been coming here before the remodel and it was my first time coming here after the name change/remodel! For AYCE, this place does it well with a variety of seafood/vegetable options and even a cooked food bar. There's plenty of sauce and meat options as well. The waiters come by often to check on whether you need meat or not which is great! Broth is still great and perfect for the cold weather. Will definitely continue to come back here!

It's kind of pricey, especially compared to the original location in Oakland, but the food is authentic Hong Kong/Cantonese style cuisine. This will definitely satisfy your carb/MSG cravings, lol! We got takeout for a weekday lunch. This is our usual order now: Fresh sliced fish porridge, $14.95 - they always do a great job with this. This is the Cantonese equivalent of chicken noodle soup. The texture is just right, there are plenty of fish pieces, and the flavor is classic, right down to the ginger slivers. Shrimp rice noodle roll $9.50 - DH's favorite dim sum item. It is tender, and the shrimp are large and crispy. Comes with the classic soy-based sauce. Crab meat braised E - fu noodle $24.95 - DH's favorite noodle. This type of noodle is very soft and absorbs all of the flavors from the crab pieces and sauce. Great choice for seafood lovers! Shrimp silky egg chow fun $24.95 - little one's favorite. This one just has such a great combination of flavors. The velvety "gravy" really ties everything together and makes it go down smoothly. This one has flat noodles (cheung fun), like the classic beef chow fun. Comfort food for sure! Sautéed Chinese green $22.95 - this looks to be pan seared choy sum. Seems kind of expensive, but they actually pack a lot of greens into the box. They don't have the veggie clay pot anymore, Barbecue pork $15.95 - they do a pretty good job with this one too. The flavors are really good and interestingly enough it comes with these little beans on the bottom. Pork tends to be a little bit on the lean side. Portion size seems okay. We didn't get the beef chow fun because we didn't need that much food. But that one is a classic here and they usually do a great job with it too. Food is usually ready very quickly and everything was steaming hot. Staff are efficient and friendly. Give it a try; this place is consistently good and I highly recommend it!

We ordered the egg tofu with veggies, beef brisket, ham and egg fried rice, and the chicken with Chinese sausage clay pot. The beef brisket was the clear winner -- tender, flavorful, and they give you a generous portion. No tiny rationed pieces hiding in sauce. The overall flavor profile was balanced and comforting without feeling overloaded with MSG. The egg tofu was light and nicely seasoned, and the fried rice delivered that classic Hong Kong café vibe. The clay pot had great flavor too, though I personally prefer larger pieces of chicken with less bone. Just a texture preference -- seasoning was on point. Prices are reasonable, especially for the portion sizes. You leave full without feeling like you overpaid. Ambiance is casual and simple. One drawback during the summer: there were quite a few flies while we were dining. The doors were closed, so it was a bit puzzling and definitely distracting. The kung pao chicken had some flavor in the sauce I wasn't totally loving, but was spicy and packed with chicken, peanuts, onions, and bell peppers. The green onion pancake was crispy and delicious, with eight slices to an order. But the star of the show was the yang chou fried rice, which is that fluffy, soft type of fried rice I absolutely love. That was the first thing that got finished at the table. Portions are generous. My brother and I are both good eaters but we still left with leftovers. However, be careful with the take-out containers here; the kung pao leaked for some reason and the containers just felt a little flimsy in general. Luckily they were in a plastic bag, otherwise it would've gotten all over the car. Plenty of other things on the menu to try and I wouldn't object to coming here again, I just wouldn't drive all the way out specifically for it.

I might even prefer it because it's quieter, more peaceful, and just more comfortable overall. As for the food, most of what we tried was delicious. We ordered some staple dim sum items like pork siu mai and har gow, and both were really good. I also tried the shrimp and scallop dumplings, which are similar to har gow, and those were pretty tasty too. We also got the fried rice with salted fish, and it was made in a "yang chow" style, so it was rather pale in color, but don't let that fool you, because it was really flavorful. We also ordered their fried calamari, which was meh at best and was nothing special. That was probably my least favorite dish. We also got lo mai gai and deep fried taro dumplings filled with pork. Overall, the food was really yummy. The service was great too. The staff were attentive and quick to bring extra chili sauce and other condiments when we requested them. I'd definitely come back again.

Service is excellent, the bus boy is very attentive. Why 1 star? For the price I'm paying for, almost $10 per portion for 4 piece siu mai, I expected to have a "wow" food that will play a song in my mouth and not just ordinary dim sum.
