    Shrimp ball with lychee inside

My brother recommend this place for dim sum . It was on a Saturday and the wait was not bad at all. The decor is very nice, modern , and grand. Dim sum was very authentic. I like unusual dishes and the shrimp bands with lychee inside was very creative. The outer layer was crispy , shrimp paste was tasty and had a nice texture. Then lychee was a nice surprise inside .

Went to this dim sum place on the weekends and this place was packed. You get a number from the front desk and the wait time was an about an hour. This place is small compared to other Chinese dim sum places in town. Overall dim sum has variety and pretty good. Restaurant is clean and service is good. We ordered our typical dim sum. The only thing I don't like is the coconut dessert.

First time here and it can feel a bit out of place as it's a Chinese Restaurant smack in the middle of a mall that's normally occupied by American food. The restaurant itself isn't that big compared to others, and the seats were tightly packed. There was a 45 minute delay from when we order the food till when the soup first arrived, and the rest of the food came shortly after. It was worth the wait as the food was fresh and tasty.

First time trying out Pearl Bay Manor back in February. Did a dinner meet up on a Friday with my friends. When I arrived 10 mins before the music was loud and the tables all had numbers for a banquet. For people who wanted to dine in they take you to another area where you have to walk through the main area to get there. Unfortunately they didn't serve any dim sum during dinner but they did have a small selection on their menu for appetizer. All three us originally planned to order the same dish. When our server came she was like you want the same dishes so we decided change it up. With what we ordered, it looks like we had a feast with just the three of us. My friend Flora ended up ordering all the dishes for us since Maggie and I don't really know what's good to order. For starters we started with the Westlake minced beef soup. For the main dishes we ordered the sautéed Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, house special clay pot fried rice, turbot fish and peking duck half (Flora gave me and Maggie a demonstration on how to eat this dish). Flora wasn't sure if we were going to like the food she picked but each dish turned out to be really delicious. The highlight for me would have to be the Westlake soup and the clay pot fried rice. As we were looking at the receipt I did notice that they charged us twice for the turbot fish. It was super pricy! $46.99 for just for 1 fish. We only asked for one dish but somehow ended up with 2 fishes on the plate but they didn't tell us. I guess they thought one fish would not be enough for the three of us. They also only accept 2 credit cards to split the payment on the bill. Overall, food was delicious but on the super pricy side. Service was attentive and friendly.

This is a nice addition to the area. My family has been here for dinner service during Chinese new year and dim sum on a Sunday afternoon. Our dim sum experience was much better than dinner. DINNER Got seated without menus. Had to wait to get menus. Then wait again to order. Pretty much at least 30 mins past reservation time and then another 30 mins to finally order. It's been a while so I don't exactly remember the names of the items we ordered. But some things were not good (spare ribs), honey walnut shrimp (we ordered two orders of this, and it was very skimpy, the shrimp wasn't crispy, the rice noodles was so soggy). DIM SUM Everything tasted good. Sticky rice in lotus leaf stood out. It had a very generous amount of salted egg yolk through out. Can skip the fried squid, very underwhelming. PARKING can be difficult depending on when. OVERALL, a great new spot for dim sum. But I would have to come again for dinner to see how I feel.

Honestly shocked by how unique some of the menu items are here! I absolutely loved the classic Panfried Noodle Rolled in XO Sauce and Crispy Pork Macau Style. My personal favorites! The Panfried Water Chestnut Cake was SO GOOD. A fan favorite! Sweet, jelly-like, and crunchy. I've never had a dish like it. I highly recommend if you're feeling adventurous. I was impressed by the Litchi Shrimp Balls! So juicy and slightly sweet. The puffed rice exterior was satisfying, and the center was cooked perfectly. Plus, there's a canned lychee in the middle! Soooooo delicious! Har Gow and Siu Mai were just okay/average.... but everything else was so overwhelmingly good, it was negligible.

Sunday 12:30pm check in with 30 min wait. Tell me why when the lady up front called our number, she gave away our table because she said we weren't there. Kind of rude. But when there's a lot of Chinese people dining, that tells you it better be good. Eventually we were seated in the back room near the bathrooms on a two top. Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce - good Beef chow fun - good Har gow, shu mai, fried shrimp balls, were basic. I needed a lot of chili Mango pudding - not good, it was hard like you could throw on the wall and the pig mold will hold its shape. Overall, food was okay, standard. But service was not so good.

Came in for a Pre Lunar New Years Dinner with the fam on a Saturday evening about 5:30. Got a table quick. The service here is great and attentive. But the food wasn't so great, everything we had was blend no flavor at all. For the price, I dont think its worth it. Here's what we had: Chicken & Corn Egg Flower Soup Honey Walnut Prawns Seafood Pan Fried Noodles Mongolian Beef Beef Chow Fun Chicken with Ginger Oil Salted Fish & Chicken Fried Rice Fish & Fresh Tofu Claypot Salt & Pepper Tofu Gailan (Chinese Broccoli) Salt & Pepper Pork After this, not sure if I would come back for their dim sum.

Traditional banquet style Chinese food with a face lift, and a price tag to match. Pearl Bay Manor brings a classy Cantonese experience to Dublin in the Hacienda Plaza and seats tables anywhere from 2 to 20 (yes, with a special lazy Susan). I recommend making a reservation or coming near opening time as this place gets packed quickly, even with the ample dining area. Inside, the dining room seems larger than it actually is because of the vaulted ceilings and lighting, and how tightly packed some of the tables are. There's just enough room to squeeze through the tables, but be quick when you're making your bathroom break so you don't run into one of the other servers dashing around. Or a stray child. And once it gets full, be prepared to use your outside voice since it does get loud. I've been for dim sum and dinner, and dinner was our family's preferred of the two experiences. Not to say that the dim sum isn't good - they have all of the staples and do them well, but nothing necessarily stood out. Dinner felt a little more suited to Pearl Bay's style, where they really showcased presentation and the creativity that is representative of true Chinese cuisine. There wasn't anything we didn't like, but we particularly enjoyed the Sichuan Sour and Spicy Boiled Fish (like a Cantonese take on Sichuan food, not quite so red or spicy but still fun to eat), Lotus Root with Shrimp Paste (even the julienned veggies on the side were delicious) and Mushroom E-mian (I would love to see a lobster version served here, but the mushrooms are crazy good umami bombs). This is certainly fancier than your local take-out Chinese, so more of a celebratory meal type place rather than a weekly casual dinner. Service is still top notch at present, with lots of servers covering overlapping areas in the dining room. Plates are cleared quickly, teapots refilled promptly, and to-go boxes brought efficiently. The one thing I wasn't a fan of was the fact that each time we went, one of the servers tried to push us to order some "specialty" that was pricier while we were still perusing the menu. Bathrooms are modern with only 3 stalls in the women's, but are definitely lower priority than the food as the bathrooms were still somewhat dirty during opening time on a weekend. I also was a little confused why there was only one soap dispenser, jammed in between the paper towel dispenser and the corner sink where only one person can access it.

We've visited for both takeout and dim sum before. Dining hall is spacious so the wait for a table isn't too long, but bathrooms can definitely be kept more clean. Great location though-right next to the Hacienda Crossings Regal theater so there are plenty of parking spaces around the mall. Service staff is accommodating, helpful and efficient. Food is pretty good with quality ingredients! Dishes are priced a bit higher than other Cantonese dims sum/Chinese banquet style restaurants around the Tri-Valley though. We've ordered noodle dishes and were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions we got and the seafood in both dishes were pretty fresh. Dim sum dishes are pretty unique -a good balance of traditional dishes and then new ones you would't find at other restaurants. While I'm not a huge fan of their shrimp dumplings (skin is thicker, less delicate), the siu mai, lychee shrimp balls, rice noodle rolls, and black sesame rolls are pretty good. We're also ordered a few steamed and baked buns. For takeout, the baked sweet potato buns and baked bbq pork bun was a bit soggy but it might have been better if we ordered it at the restaurant. We also tried beef brisket in clear soup and was surprised to find that they've added chili peppers that make it mild spicy. Overall though, food was decent and we would come back to try more dishes-there is so much to choose from!

I just felt bad for them when people gave them 1 star for other reasons but not even for food or the bad service... Anywho, my first experience here we ordered takeaway and everything tasted good, no msg side effect lol so we think we wanna dine in some time. I had a chance to go there for brunch and the resto was packed yet the service was quick and everyone was so friendly. All dim sum we ordered came hot and delicious. Except for Xiao Long Bao, they can't beat Din Tai Fong yet lol anw jk, it's not their specialty apparently. They have so many selection of dim sum and main dishes that hard to find from other places, and I crave to try next time! Don't judge Chinese resto by its Yelp stars! Lol

Came here with a group of 5, waited around 20 minutes on a Sunday morning. The venue is quite large so not too long a wait. The food was delicious! The spareribs were great with the sauce and the fried shrimp wontons were crispy and savory. The service was also really good, giving us sauces and refilling tea often. The one con is that they charge $1 for hot water, which is a little unexpected.

A new Chinese restaurant in the Tri-Valley is always exciting! Pearl Bay Manor is in the busy Regal movie theater plaza in Dublin and I feel like it's brought a lot of life into this plaza. We made a reservation for four for Sunday night. It's your classic higher end Chinese banquet spot with tall ceilings, bright lighting, and the iconic giant screen with pictures of their various dishes. Beef tenderloin, scallops, and nuts with BBQ black pepper sauce: so delicious and the beef was super tender. Very well cooked with amazing flavor - the asparagus was perfectly crisp, macadamia nuts were fresh, and all the different components went very well together. Minced beef and vermicelli with shacha sauce in clay pot: Great flavor! Fragrant and came out piping hot. Walnut shrimp with salad dressing: classic honey walnut shrimp. Freshly fried, crunchy walnuts, very tasty. Stuffed mushrooms with egg tofu: solid dish. Maybe the least memorable of the four we ordered but still yummy! Always love when the meal comes with peanuts to start and the sweet dessert soup to end. While this place is on the pricier side, I'd have to say flavor wise this is the best Chinese restaurant in the Tri-Valley. Each dish was a hit with the table. I'll definitely be back!

We were being seated right the way by the nice big window table. I enjoyed the service there . Without asking , they gave us the serving chop stick , a pot of tea ( we requested Iron Buddha tea leaves) and an extra pot of hot water to keep the tea pot filled . We ordered the soup dumplings with fish mew in high soup . It tasted great . Many restaurants don't have this item or they made it not as good . The high soup is tasty and the ingredients had a lot of seafood and shrimp . Fish mew was good size . I wan impressed when we asked for small ceramic bowl to share the food , they gave us two heated bowls . Just like you wanted beer in the club and they gave you an iced mug . So you dominates to wait , just walk up to the check in counter and bring seated . I usually make my reservations 3 days in advance to make sure I can get the large table. They had to take us out of the restaurant and reenter from the side of the building to go upstairs. The second floor looked just as nice, clean, and spacious. We ordered some staple dim sum items like pork siu mai and har gow, and both were really good. I also tried the shrimp and scallop dumplings, which are similar to har gow, and those were pretty tasty too. We also got the fried rice with salted fish, and it was made in a "yang chow" style, so it was rather pale in color, but don't let that fool you, because it was really flavorful. We also ordered their fried calamari, which was meh at best and was nothing special. That was probably my least favorite dish. We also got lo mai gai and deep fried taro dumplings filled with pork. Overall, the food was really yummy. The service was great too. The staff were attentive and quick to bring extra chili sauce and other condiments when we requested them. I'd definitely come back again.

I ordered 3 items from DoorDash today. Mango pudding, crab dumplings, and mapo tofu. The mango pudding was entirely missing from the order. The crab dumplings had zero traces of crab. (The description was "Steamed dumplings filled with fresh crab meat") The worst thing about the "crab" dumplings sans crab was that they tasted terrible. Usually, regardless of dumpling type, I love them all. I am far from a picky eater. So making dumplings taste terrible is a rare feat. I powered through one of them but threw away the rest. The Mapo Tofu was unlike any Mapo Tofu I've ever tasted. It was a container of tofu pieces suspended in a thick sugary syrup. I couldn't eat them, they tasted so weird. I threw it all away. It's too bad because I was quite hungry and especially excited for the mapo tofu. I will not be ordering from here again.

This one has flat noodles (cheung fun), like the classic beef chow fun. Comfort food for sure! Sautéed Chinese green $22.95 - this looks to be pan seared choy sum. Seems kind of expensive, but they actually pack a lot of greens into the box. They don't have the veggie clay pot anymore, Barbecue pork $15.95 - they do a pretty good job with this one too. The flavors are really good and interestingly enough it comes with these little beans on the bottom. Pork tends to be a little bit on the lean side. Portion size seems okay. We didn't get the beef chow fun because we didn't need that much food. But that one is a classic here and they usually do a great job with it too. Food is usually ready very quickly and everything was steaming hot. Staff are efficient and friendly. Give it a try; this place is consistently good and I highly recommend it!

The dim sum lunch was authentic HK Cantonese teahouse style and it was a terrific place to meet old friends for loud laughs and conversations. The staff was on point periodically swinging by to subtly assisting us with needs and emptied plates. I understand that this particular restaurant has been open for several years now but I did not realize their chain of restaurants have been for almost 20 years! That's quite a feat in my view. Because of my excitement with catching up with my friends, I did not take much pictures of the food or setting but to affirm, the food was delicious and the tea was smooth, fresh; the eatery was nicely decorated and spacious too. Don't know if my non-Chinese friends understand this, BUT YOU CAN ask for various, different kinds of teas and their combination. Yes, multiple pots too. The dim sum is obviously the center piece but the tea "yum chai" is equally the star in my opinion to complement the foods. I recommend a lighter tea for lite drinkers like Chrysanthemum tea ie flower steeped, no caffeine and floral. However, if you want a bold tea try "Bo lay" black tea for lightly sipping when eating lots and lots of heavy food. Pro-tip: For tea adventurers, try a fusion teapot (e.g. Chrysanthemum + Bo lay), combo tea flavors is different and neat when i crave for a different drink. I'll be back for sure. Hope you do too!

We got the green onion pancake ($8.95), kung pao chicken ($15.95), yang chou fried rice ($13.95), and one other stir fried dish I can't totally remember but believe was pork with mushrooms and bell peppers. The kung pao chicken had some flavor in the sauce I wasn't totally loving, but was spicy and packed with chicken, peanuts, onions, and bell peppers. The green onion pancake was crispy and delicious, with eight slices to an order. But the star of the show was the yang chou fried rice, which is that fluffy, soft type of fried rice I absolutely love. That was the first thing that got finished at the table. Portions are generous. My brother and I are both good eaters but we still left with leftovers. However, be careful with the take-out containers here; the kung pao leaked for some reason and the containers just felt a little flimsy in general. Luckily they were in a plastic bag, otherwise it would've gotten all over the car. Plenty of other things on the menu to try and I wouldn't object to coming here again, I just wouldn't drive all the way out specifically for it.
