Came here on a whim during their soft opening a week and a half ago. I always love it when a dumpling place opens nearby. Needed to try it out. They occupy the space that used to be the Chinese restaurant. The name escapes me. The place has a modern clean design. Signage on how to eat a XLB at your table. Perhaps it's catered towards those new to dumplings? ‍ Ordered these items: XLB 3/5- Skin too thick. Not very hot. Packed flavor Beef Shank Noodle Soup 3/5 Clear broth, barely warm. Not oily but lacked flavor. Beef too lean. Noodles were thick and not slurpable. Hard to eat. Siu Mai 3/5 Nothing to write home about Egg & Chives Fried Dumpling (hot pocket) 4/5 This was my favorite! Nicely fried and filling was just right. Could have used a tad more seasoning but still scrumptious and snack-able. The hot tea also lacked flavor considering it was a decent tea pot, perhaps another tea bag would have helped. Overall, I was a bit underwhelmed. The majority of the dishes needed more seasoning and needed to be much hotter

Food was quite delicious, yet portion can be bigger. Service was good and tentative. Very nice inside, nicer than most dumplings' places. The meat noodle was quite good. Parking was easy and lots of spots. The siu long bao's skin can be slightly skinnier.

So excited to have a dumpling place on this part of town! We tried this place during soft opening and loved the spaciousness and modern decor. We tried both the crab and the pork xlb and they were both pretty good. Large and juicy filling for sure. Overall good for families and even larger groups. Service was really friendly! Would definitely come back for more meals!

The restaurant has a nice ambiance; the food tastes good; and the service staff are friendly.

Was craving XLB and saw that this place opened up recently. The inside has a nice modern look to it and I'd say reasonable-ish pricing. Got the pork XLB, bone broth soup, and guava jasmine drink. Service was quick and friendly. The XLB was delicious, has a good soup base and nice fat-to-pork ratio. The skin was more on the slightly overcooked side but nonetheless delicious. I love the bone broth soup and highly recommend it; probably my go to togo order if I were sick. The guava drink was on the sweeter side for my taste buds so I'll most likely pass on that.

a new dumpling restaurant in san ramon. place is quite spacious with great ambiance. staffs are nice plus polite and service is good. for foods: * sautéed green beans with garlic: i will say this is a recommended food that you must order. they clean the string on the side of green beans and i will give thumbs up for this!!! it is crunchy and taste is just great... * original pork soup dumplings: another must food that has to be ordered here. the juice is so delish. i will try other dumpling variants next time... * house special stir fried noodle: will say it is mediocre for this noodle. try to reduce the oil aka a bit oily and a bit salty... prices are ok and glad that the restaurant is in san ramon. this town needs more and more restaurants ~ lol!!!

The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The restaurant has been recently remodeled, creating a clean and inviting atmosphere. I especially loved the string beans and noodles with minced pork--both were flavorful and satisfying. The pork dumplings were okay. There are several other dumplings on the menu, and I'm looking forward to trying them on my next visit to compare.

Food tasted light and great without too much oil and salt. All the dishes lacked lots of meat and portion sizes were adequate. I wish they gave more meat in the dishes. The fried rice tasted great lacked much meat. Service was great and the environment was very clean and nice place to have lunch at. No msg. Not sure we will come back since the prices were on the higher side without much quantity of food. Food did tasted pretty good.

The food was pretty good overall -- definitely above average. The ambiance was also nice, with a newly renovated interior and a creative accent wall made of stacked steam baskets that gave the restaurant some character. Service, however, was slow and felt a bit disorganized, which makes me think they're still working through the kinks of being a newer establishment. Unfortunately, our order was messed up multiple times. We originally ordered the pork and cabbage steamed dumplings, but the waiter forgot to put them in entirely. We also ordered the House Special Stir-Fry Noodles to go, but instead received minced pork noodles. To be fair, they did try to correct the mistakes, so I didn't want to be overly harsh at first. But in the end, the order was still botched again. The waiter had even repeated the dumpling order back to us correctly when taking it. English may have been his second language, but my mother -- who is fluent in Mandarin -- also placed the order in Mandarin, and somehow the dumplings were still wrong. We eventually just took the missing dumpling order to go. The food itself gives me hope for the place, but the service and order accuracy definitely need improvement.

We were sad to see King Palace close but pleasantly surprised to see a dumpling place open in its place. They did a nice job modernizing the interior though it was a bit too cold when we went. Service was fast and friendly. We ordered what we normally order in dumpling restaurants which was pork XLB (7/10) crab XLB (7/10), fried rice (10/10) and cucumbers (5/10). We hope they do well and we will be going back to try some of the other items. Hopefully they improve the cucumber which just tasted like vinegar and hot oil with no other seasonings.

First time here and amazing food. The original soup dumpling is sooooo good. The sui mai was a little pricey but everything else was very reasonably priced. The service was impeccable, constantly checking on us and refilling our water. The ambiance is a clean and updated feel, but you don't feel out of place dressing casual. Will definitely be coming back!

4 stars M Dumpling replaces neighborhood staple, King Palace, whose owners recently retired. This is M Dumpling's 2nd location. OG is in Fremont. Very friendly & helpful staff. All teens, perhaps local, eager to please. Think I had 4 different servers come by to ask if I needed anything. Modern and sleek atmosphere with comfy, padded banquette seating along the walls. Nice upgraded interior except it lacked softer surfaces. Should add dampening material to absorb some of the racket. Lounge music was loud in an attempt to mask all the noise. Unfortunately, turning up the volume undermined any soothing qualities of the music and just added to the din. Limited menu for soft opening. Tried their wonton soup and veggie eggrolls. One thing that needs work, the eggroll filling was oddly mushy. Also of note, they close for a break between 3-5 pm. Otherwise, great potential. Will definitely be back to explore the full menu.

Found this place by accident. Didn't know previous Chinese restaurant was closed and this dumpling place opened up. All the menu we ordered was good! We will come back to try other menu.

The staff was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the siu mai, bean curd rolls with shrimp, pork, and mushrooms, pan-fried chive and shrimp dumplings, roasted duck, and salt-and-pepper squid. Every dish was flavorful and well-prepared. The standouts for me were the crispy salt-and-pepper squid, perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice, and the roasted duck with its crispy skin and juicy, tender meat. The pan-fried dumplings had a wonderful texture with a flavorful filling, while the bean curd rolls were packed with savory goodness. The siu mai were plump, fresh, and exactly what you'd hope for from a quality dim sum restaurant. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere exceeded expectations. Everything we tried was delicious, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Can't wait to come back! Highly recommended for anyone craving quality dim sum in the Dublin area.

Unfortunately, my recent visit was incredibly disappointing. The food quality has gone downhill, the prices have become excessive, and what bothered me most was feeling misled by the billing. A cucumber special was advertised at $5.95, but when the bill arrived, the charge was $14.90. On top of that, an automatic gratuity was added to a table of only three people with one of them being 4 year old. She barely even ate with tea price per person. I don't mind paying premium prices for great food and service, but I do expect transparency. Many of the dim sum items also felt extremely overpriced, $9 for two egg tarts is hard to justify and sadly they weren't worth that. Felt like it was not fresh. It's unfortunate because this used to be a place I genuinely looked forward to visiting. Sadly, I don't see myself returning anytime soon.
