I have been to their Redwood City and SF location and decided to give this place a try. I love thin ramen and noodles in general and this place did not disappoint. The interior was very modern and had a lot of wood tones. It's very simple but nice and welcoming. I hopped on the Yelp WL and was number 2. The staff member who seated us offered us seats at their bar. This arrangement would have been fine, as their bar area is not high and we had 2 kids with us. We ended up being seated at a table that was just cleared/cleaned. Items ordered: Chicken karaage- Loved the crispy and not overly greasy chicken Chicken Paitan- flavorful broth & lots of chicken Hakata Tonkatsu- delicious broth & items were plentiful and tasty

Hakata-style tonkotsu ramen is the specialty here. As of 3/2026, this is one of the new locations of a shop that originally opened in SF's Japantown. So as you can imagine there was a lot of excitement and therefore lines/wait times. I was in the area visiting family and wanted to come here on a weekday. It was still pretty busy and it took a while to get in. Once I got in though it was surprisingly serene inside. I got a seat at the bar counter. And it being my first time here, I definitely ordered the Hakata Tonkatsu Ramen. I also ordered a melon soda float which was as fun to drink as it was tasty. The Ramen itself had a thick flavorful broth with really well cooked noodles. The egg was perfectly cooked and all the other toppings were great. A great bowl of ramen. Definitely a great place just be prepared to wait unless the hype died down a little. This location shares the parking lot with various other popular eateries so parking might come as a premium around here

OMG I loved the food here! The tonkatsu ramen was super delicious! The broth was perfect and not fatty tasting which is weird as it's full of fat. The place is packed and we had a wait of 15 minutes at 1:00pm. Can't wait to come back again!

Came here with two other people. We all ordered the Hakata Tonkotsu, mild. Food came out quickly! We all liked it. The broth was delicious - great flavor, creamy, and had a kick to it. The noodles, the pork, and the egg were good as well. I would come again to try the mazesoba (which our server said was specific to their location) and other dishes. We came at 11am on a weekday, so we didn't have any wait at all.

Came here on a Tuesday at 7pm for dinner party of 2. Put my name on the waitlist about 15 min before and had to wait maybe 5-10 minutes. It was nicely decorated and clean inside. Service was excellent! Our server was Kevin and he was a funny cool dude! Service was super fast!! I ordered a rainbow packed peach soda. It came in a bag with a glowing light! So fun! Reminded me of Asia. We ordered the chicken paitan deluxe and hakata tonkatsu deluxe. The chicken pairan came with a sizzling chicken plate. It was maybe a sweet soy sauce. Crispy and tender inside. The hakata tonkatsu had plenty of charsu pork and pork belly. It was so soft. Both broths were rich and creamy with plenty of veggies. My egg was slightly overcooked but maybe I left it in the soup too long. We ordered spicy but it wasn't that spicy. We were able to add extra spice in h the r soup on the side. Highly recommend! Join the waitlist before going also!

A5 Wagyu Maze Soba (after I mixed it)

We've eaten at and enjoyed both the Oakland and San Francisco locations so we were excited when they opened up shop in the East Bay! Located on an edge of the Ulfert's Plaza, we found out we weren't the only ones excited- we waited about 45 minutes after we arrived around 5:15pm. Inside is nice- brighter than the Oakland location, not as cramped as the SF location and they actually seem like they have a good amount of seating. I got the A5 Wagyu Maze Soba and the rest of the family got the Hakata Tonkotsu ramen. The maze soba was good- nice chewy texture on the noodles and the beef was tender and tasty but honestly I'd prefer the Hakata Tonkatsu ramen. I've enjoyed that dish at the other locations and my wife said the quality and taste were consistent amongst the different locations. At any rate, excited to have Marufuku in Dublin, we'll be back!

Hakata Tonkotsu XL

I had a nice experience at Marufuku. I thoroughly enjoyed the Hakata Tonkotsu XL. The broth was super rich and flavorful without being too heavy. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the pork was very tender and delicious. Service was fast and friendly, dining area was small but cozy and clean. It definitely lived up to the hype.

Char Siu Chicken Leg (3 stars) - basically like soya chicken

Came here for my biweekly Friday lunch date with the wife and was greeted by a line. It moves fast though - we were in 12th place and it took at most 20-30 minutes. Is it worth the hype? Not really, since we found their thin Hakata-style noodles to be a bit too soft and soggy. We actually prefer a slightly chewier ramen, and found the ones at Fujiwara (located in the same Ulferts Mall) and Ramen Hiroshi (City Center) to be more our liking. We also found the broth to be on the saltier side. The best dish we ordered was the chicken karaage, which came with a extra thick, crispy batter while maintaining the soft, juicy meat inside. The Chicken Paitan DX was a minor letdown. They only make 15 of these per day and its basically ramen with grilled chicken breast and a bbq, bone-in chicken hindquarter. It was like Chinese Char Siu BBQ pork (red, sweet soy sauce), only its prepared for a chicken on a sizzling iron platter. A bit too sweet for our liking, but kudos for novelty. You're basically pairing a mild tasting, borderline bland ramen with an intensely flavored BBQ chicken. Other than that, Marafuku Ramen does have some unique features - such as alcoholic beverages, create non-alcoholic Japanese soft drinks and juice mocktails, and A5 Wagyu skewers. They also feature curry and a bunch of rice bowls, although do note is plain rice and not sushi rice.

Food was amazing and delicious, and service was super fast! Everyone was so nice and the restaurant was packed when we came! The waitress did check up on us multiple times to make sure everything was good, and the bathrooms were also very clean. Overall would visit again Tip: thankfully we joined the yelp waitlist 1.5 hours before while we were shopping at Livermore outlets, I recommend doing that to avoid waiting too long.

After coming back from a funeral, we were ready to have a good meal at a good restaurant. We put our names down on the waiting list and sat down to wait. My friend and I got into a tiff and argued in the waiting area, no one seemed to notice. The noise level was high and people only paid attention to their food. Even with sorrow in heart from the funeral and anger in my brain from the argument, this ramen helped eased all the raw emotions that were stirring inside. The menu offered bibs to wear, which put a giggle into my sour spirit. We each wore our bibs with pride and shared the aftermath with each other. Hakata Tonkotsu ramen - rich creamy pork broth with the perfect CHEW noodle. I ate a bowl of soup that can cure your sour emotions and set you back into a neutral state. That is the power of ramen... Negative 1 star because my friend ordered the DX version and they forgot to include what represented DX... the damn PORK BELLY. They apologized for their new trainees in the kitchen. Hope they get that act together soon before their healthy star ratings fall.

Hakata Tonkotsu DX

Marufuku in Japantown is my all time *favorite* ramen shop- I have waited up to 3 hours with no complaint as it is the ~perfect~ bowl of ramen. To have a location open so close to me is a dream come true!! As for the Dublin location- It isn't comparable to the Japantown location by any means, however it is the best ramen you'll find in the tri-valley area. Located in a popular shopping center, parking can be a challenge but additional spots are nearby at a business complex (I'm sure you're not *supposed* to park there, but I've never had an issue at this center). Since it's grand opening, I have already been three times. The first visit, I joined the Yelp waiting list at the 15-30 min mark, and I waited about 70 minutes. The second visit, I joined at the 17-25 minute mark, and I waited about 45 minutes. For the third visit, I arrived 10 minutes before opening and I got a table at opening, but it was chaotic, VERY busy, and the quality of the food & service was too diminished for me to come early again. The hakata tonkotsu DX is all I order- I have to order "extra spicy" to get some heat. On a good day, the broth is very good. On a bad day, the broth is ok. The noodles, veggies, meat, and egg have always been excellent though. The service is very good- the host is incredibly charismatic and passionate, & the waiters are obviously trained to chit chat and amp up the experience. As the restaurant is new, the gears are obviously clunky and I have been forgotten about a few times- growing pains I can't judge.

Jeff W.

My daughter took me here today for lunch for my birthday. We arrived at 11:45 and were seated at the bar promptly. I would have preferred a table but were told there were none available. Oddly enough, there were 4 tables without people and nobody else behind us. I also tried to get on the Yelp waitlist just in case, but was informed the waitlist was closed / turned off. Strange. Anyhow we ordered the Hakata Tonkatsu and the DX version. I thought the bowl was a little small, but it's packed with food. Very filling for lunch. The flavors were very good, from the noodles to the pork and egg. Glad we were able to get in early and not wait. There was a small line around 12:20.

Non alcoholic beer tasty

- parking can be a challenge but go to the back of the building usually spots there - showed up midweek around 12:30 sat immediately - dinner tends to be more crowded - the hakata dx is my go to - takoyaki bites were perfectly cooked with those salty sweet notes - limited item forget the name but it is a dry noodle that you add chili and vinegar omg how tasty - staff very kind and checked on us often Glad to have one so close by!

How long are the lines this week?

To be honest, it is difficult to predict. But my suggestion is to get there early and expect a 15 to 25 minutes wait, depending on the time you arrive (whether it is during peak lunch time or dinner time). Good luck!

Can't wait! pls be as good as other locations 😍 ETA on opening date?

This location is down the street in Dublin and we were about an hour out from close. It was a slow weekday and they were able to serve us quick and easy! A $15 bowl of ramen, with great portion and great flavor (compared to other bigger cities who overcharge and give significantly less)? How can I not be happy? Albeit I am a vegetarian and I got the veggie ramen with tofu, mushrooms, corn, bean sprouts and a boiled egg on the side. I also opted for the creamy version of their veggie broth and loved it. Ramen noodles were great and cooked well too. I feel like I can go to ramen spots who disappoint me easily when it ventures too far out of the norm, and this was an easy meal that was quick, reliable, and hit the spot. I haven't tried their other options though I do know they offer other Hawaiian bbq staples (I saw a number of people ordering those to-go). Not sure how those are... but I'm happy to report their ramen does the job. Happy gals!

It used to be you can only join where you come near the restaurant. It must be only for busy days like Mother's Day? There was a sheet offering specials for Mother's Day, cocktails, mocktails, a kurobuta pork belly and 2 desserts. We ordered our usual fare. Great service by Ariel, she handled everything as a pro, even with the crazy business. Food came out with no delay. The only change that we noticed id the teriyaki beef. The rib eye was usually so tender and juicy, everybody that we invited here were amazed how tender and great they were. Yes, we came here quite often, and brought every and all out of town guests here. But today they were tough, on the dry side, even though cooked Rare and MediumRare. All 3 steaks. So disappointed. The fried oysters were also a great size and came with two dipping sauces, which was a nice touch. The maze ramen was a big portion and even my toddler enjoyed it. The standout for me was the tempura ice cream--perfectly crisp with a thin, light shell. Service: Our server was friendly, efficient, and very accommodating. However, the host experience was frustrating. The Yelp waitlist wasn't working on a busy Friday night, which seemed to cause some disorganization. We were quoted a 25-minute wait for a party of three, but ended up waiting 45 minutes. During that time, multiple parties of three who arrived after us were seated first. When I checked in at 35 minutes, I was told we were "next," but that didn't seem to reflect what was happening. At 45 minutes, after checking again and explaining how long we'd been waiting, we were seated immediately. It was confusing and especially difficult with a hungry toddler. Parking: Parking can be tricky. The restaurant is located under an apartment complex with limited guest spots on the first floor of the garage. If it's full, you'll have to exit and find street parking (which is minimal) or park across Dublin Blvd and walk. Overall: This was close to a perfect experience. The food and server were great, but the disorganized wait and host interaction took away from it. Hopefully they improve their system for busy nights, especially if the Yelp waitlist goes down again.
