I have been to their Redwood City and SF location and decided to give this place a try. I love thin ramen and noodles in general and this place did not disappoint. The interior was very modern and had a lot of wood tones. It's very simple but nice and welcoming. I hopped on the Yelp WL and was number 2. The staff member who seated us offered us seats at their bar. This arrangement would have been fine, as their bar area is not high and we had 2 kids with us. We ended up being seated at a table that was just cleared/cleaned. Hakata-style tonkotsu ramen is the specialty here. As of 3/2026, this is one of the new locations of a shop that originally opened in SF's Japantown. So as you can imagine there was a lot of excitement and therefore lines/wait times. I was in the area visiting family and wanted to come here on a weekday. It was still pretty busy and it took a while to get in. Once I got in though it was surprisingly serene inside. I got a seat at the bar counter. And it being my first time here, I definitely ordered the Hakata Tonkatsu Ramen. I also ordered a melon soda float which was as fun to drink as it was tasty. The Ramen itself had a thick flavorful broth with really well cooked noodles. The egg was perfectly cooked and all the other toppings were great. A great bowl of ramen. Definitely a great place just be prepared to wait unless the hype died down a little. Happy to see Marufuku finally in Dublin! They're one of my fav spots for ramen in the Bay Area. I visited on a weekday for dinner and there was a line out the door. They had a Yelp waitlist option which was nice since we were able to join remotely beforehand (originally quoted a 20-30 minute wait time). I ordered the Hakata Tonkatsu and it was solid! It was made with a pork broth which was rich and creamy. The chashu pork was seasoned well but was just a lil bit tough. Service was great! Everyone was very attentive. We had a party of three and one of the items arrived much later than the first two, but the servers were quick to help and fix it. read more

Came here on a Tuesday at 7pm for dinner party of 2. Put my name on the waitlist about 15 min before and had to wait maybe 5-10 minutes. It was nicely decorated and clean inside. Service was excellent! Our server was Kevin and he was a funny cool dude! Service was super fast!! I ordered a rainbow packed peach soda. It came in a bag with a glowing light! So fun! Reminded me of Asia. We ordered the chicken paitan deluxe and hakata tonkatsu deluxe. The chicken pairan came with a sizzling chicken plate. It was maybe a sweet soy sauce. Crispy and tender inside. We've eaten at and enjoyed both the Oakland and San Francisco locations so we were excited when they opened up shop in the East Bay! Located on an edge of the Ulfert's Plaza, we found out we weren't the only ones excited- we waited about 45 minutes after we arrived around 5:15pm. Inside is nice- brighter than the Oakland location, not as cramped as the SF location and they actually seem like they have a good amount of seating. I got the A5 Wagyu Maze Soba and the rest of the family got the Hakata Tonkotsu ramen. The maze soba was good- nice chewy texture on the noodles and the beef was tender and tasty but honestly I'd prefer the Hakata Tonkatsu ramen. I've enjoyed that dish at the other locations and my wife said the quality and taste were consistent amongst the different locations. Came here for my biweekly Friday lunch date with the wife and was greeted by a line. It moves fast though - we were in 12th place and it took at most 20-30 minutes. Is it worth the hype? Not really, since we found their thin Hakata-style noodles to be a bit too soft and soggy. We actually prefer a slightly chewier ramen, and found the ones at Fujiwara (located in the same Ulferts Mall) and Ramen Hiroshi (City Center) to be more our liking. We also found the broth to be on the saltier side. The best dish we ordered was the chicken karaage, which came with a extra thick, crispy batter while maintaining the soft, juicy meat inside. The Chicken Paitan DX was a minor letdown. They only make 15 of these per day and its basically ramen with grilled chicken breast and a bbq, bone-in chicken hindquarter. It was like Chinese Char Siu BBQ pork (red, sweet soy sauce), only its prepared for a chicken on a sizzling iron platter. A bit too sweet for our liking, but kudos for novelty. You're basically pairing a mild tasting, borderline bland ramen with an intensely flavored BBQ chicken. Other than that, Marafuku Ramen does have some unique features - such as alcoholic beverages, create non-alcoholic Japanese soft drinks and juice mocktails, and A5 Wagyu skewers. They also feature curry and a bunch of rice bowls, although do note is plain rice and not sushi rice. read more

Food was amazing and delicious, and service was super fast! Everyone was so nice and the restaurant was packed when we came! The waitress did check up on us multiple times to make sure everything was good, and the bathrooms were also very clean. After coming back from a funeral, we were ready to have a good meal at a good restaurant. We put our names down on the waiting list and sat down to wait. My friend and I got into a tiff and argued in the waiting area, no one seemed to notice. The noise level was high and people only paid attention to their food. Even with sorrow in heart from the funeral and anger in my brain from the argument, this ramen helped eased all the raw emotions that were stirring inside. The menu offered bibs to wear, which put a giggle into my sour spirit. We each wore our bibs with pride and shared the aftermath with each other. Hakata Tonkotsu ramen - rich creamy pork broth with the perfect CHEW noodle. I ate a bowl of soup that can cure your sour emotions and set you back into a neutral state. That is the power of ramen... Marufuku in Japantown is my all time *favorite* ramen shop- I have waited up to 3 hours with no complaint as it is the ~perfect~ bowl of ramen. To have a location open so close to me is a dream come true!! As for the Dublin location- It isn't comparable to the Japantown location by any means, however it is the best ramen you'll find in the tri-valley area. Located in a popular shopping center, parking can be a challenge but additional spots are nearby at a business complex (I'm sure you're not *supposed* to park there, but I've never had an issue at this center). Since it's grand opening, I have already been three times. The first visit, I joined the Yelp waiting list at the 15-30 min mark, and I waited about 70 minutes. The second visit, I joined at the 17-25 minute mark, and I waited about 45 minutes. For the third visit, I arrived 10 minutes before opening and I got a table at opening, but it was chaotic, VERY busy, and the quality of the food & service was too diminished for me to come early again. The hakata tonkotsu DX is all I order- I have to order "extra spicy" to get some heat. On a good day, the broth is very good. On a bad day, the broth is ok. The noodles, veggies, meat, and egg have always been excellent though. The service is very good- the host is incredibly charismatic and passionate, & the waiters are obviously trained to chit chat and amp up the experience. As the restaurant is new, the gears are obviously clunky and I have been forgotten about a few times- growing pains I can't judge. read more

This place is good, but just not the absolute best. We got a take out. DH said they seemed short staffed. He wasn't greeted upon entering and it took a while to get any help. The restaurant was clean and modern. We got a Hakata Tonkotsu Deluxe ramen ($21.40). Portion size was normal. I really like the variety of toppings, the pork belly was exceptionally, tender and delicious, but there was a very small amount of meat. It also included a perfectly cooked soft boiled egg, which was nice. The noodles were thin, but very chewy. The soup base tasted creamy and was pretty good, but it seemed to lack depth of flavor. Leftover soup didn't firm up completely in the fridge either. Hmmmm. It was really salty and we felt they went overboard with the MSG. And we're MSG fans, lol! I usually don't get MSG headaches, but it happened with this soup. We were thirsty all evening long. They probably need a little more QC - if they did a good job with the base, there's no need for that much salt and MSG!! DH tried the A5 Wagyu Maze Soba ($18), which is a dry noodle and not actually soba. The noodles are more like yakisoba noodles. Maze soba means "mixed noodles", definitely not buckwheat. Noodles are a medium width and chewy. Actually quite nice. However, this dish was insanely oversalted. There was no balance of flavors. DH complained that it didn't have a lot of meat in it. Portion size was small. He said you'd definitely need to pick up a chicken appetizer, or it's not enough food. We tried the extra Tan Tan broth for $9. It's moderately spicy, similar texture to the Tonkotsu broth. We don't think the spice really added much to the flavor. We also got extra noodles on the side ($2 each, about 175 grams per portion). The spinach noodles have a prominent spinach flavor. We preferred the regular. The Kid's Ramen ($10) was solid. It had a good variety of things including veggies (corn, edamame, broccoli), dessert item, fries, small toy, and juice box. The kids loved theirs! Overall, a pretty good place to get ramen, once the kinks get worked out. Be prepared to pay slightly more for additional food. read more

The place can get really crowded. We got there about 15 minutes after they opened and there was already a line we were able to get in within about 10 minutes though for our party of three. The place is pretty noisy because of the hard floors. The servers seemed to be pretty efficient, but I think they were scrambling around because they're new. We got the Wagyu skewer appetizer. Boy, it's expensive, but it is sure tasty completely tender done very well. The special Sakura Lemonada was excellent. We decided to check out this famed Ramen restaurant at the recently added location in Dublin. We arrived midweek at an early dinner hour, and still yet had to place our name on the wait list. The original estimate was 15 minutes, however, it probably was another 10 minutes more until we were seated. There is only a small wIt area at the front of the restaurant, so most people end up having to wait outdoors which can be chilly at night if you are familiar with evening weather in the city. It didn't take much long for the line to continue to grow so it's definitely worth coming at an earlier time to minimize the wait. The menu is simple with a handful of ramen options to choose from. Our party chose to order the traditional tonkatsu and there is a "DX" deluxe version of it where you get an additional pork belly meat piece and some toppings. Another interesting menu item was their ramen that comes with a side of their chicken Paitan. Apparently they only make 15 of these or so daily, so if you're wanting to try this to get some extra protein, it is worth coming earlier. Service is quick and food does not take long to arrive. We were not overly impressed with the hype of this restaurant. The noodles were thinner and crunchier (some may describe as al dente) then we are accustomed to or prefer. The soft boiled eggs are not marinated in the traditional way. The pork pieces also have a different marinated flavor and less tender that we did not find was on par with other ramen places. Prices are also slightly higher than elsewhere. With all this, I don't believe we will be returning as it was an underwhelming experience. read more

Amazing that a renowned ramen place has landed in lil ol Dublin! Having moved to the tri-valley recently, I'm counting my blessings. This place is far from a hidden secret though; when we went on a Friday afternoon the wait time was already an hour even though they had opened at 5pm. My recommendation is to get on the yelp waitlist asap to minimize the time waiting around. Our server was Danny and he was awesome and peppy. I appreciate that he intuitively refilled my spouses cup of water multiple times; he knew that he was a tank and anticipated the refills before he could even ask. The ramen menu is short but sweet. Only a few bowls to choose from. We got the tonkatsu and chicken. Tonkatsu definitely had more flavor but chicken had a nice light broth. Portions weren't overwhelming and the soup was not that salty. We also got a side of rice for the toddler at only $3.84 for a huge bowl and also edamame. Overall we spent something like $60, which is a steal for eating out these days. Danny oh so sweetly gave our boy a token to get a toy on the way out even though we didn't get a kids meal. So very nice! This place is the new ramen shop on the block having only been open for about a month, but on a quick review of the ramen places around the area, i can confidently say this is the top spot! Wow! I was not familiar with Marufuku before we popped in for dinner yesterday, but so glad that we did! We enjoyed a tasty dinner of gyoza and chicken ramen. The food was so good - very fresh and the ramen had great ingredients that paired nicely. I will say the chicken was overcooked, but not a deal breaker. Service overall was good. Our server, Jasmine, was a bit inattentive, but the rest of the servers were very kind to continuously check in on us throughout our visit. When we arrived, we were able to get seated promptly, but they do have a Yelp waitlist for busier times. We'll definitely visit again and try more on their menu. read more

We had to wait 30 mins beyond the suggested time for table of 3. After seated at the bar tightly, our server came quickly to take our order. My ramen was pipping hot and tasted as usual. We were super excited to get one nearby so we decided to try it. We were a little disappointed to be honest. The place is really nice and welcoming. All the staff is really friendly and welcoming and helpful. The fried shishitos were really good. We both ordered the chicken paitan DX. It comes with a sizzling chicken leg that was DELICIOUS! The ramen on the other hand was the let down. The broth wasn't as flavorful as other hole in the wall places we've been too. The mushrooms were rubbery and the small pieces of chicken in the ramen were chewy. We had to add a lot of chili oil and some of the Chicken skin from the leg to flavor the broth. This place is popular and for good reason! Ambiance is lovely and clean. The staff are also great - the front of house was extremely clear with communicating and thanked everyone for being patient and also let folks know while they close at 9, everyone who was waiting outside would be guaranteed to get to eat and get a table tonight. When my husband and I went in to wait since we were cold, they also offered us some complimentary tea after hearing we were chilly outside. So incredibly thoughtful! The food came quickly after our order and was high quality. I loved the chew on my Tonkotsu ramen noodles and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his wagyu mazesoba. Heard so much rave about this place and decided to give it a try. We joined the waitlist online in yelp at 4:30pm and they said we will get a table by 5pm. We arrived at 4:50pm and still waited till 5:30pm. The line outside was actually caused by short of staff in my opinion as there were a few empty tables, just not enough staff to serve. We used to love Orenchi Ramen down south but the noodle soup here is no match at all. Do not try the chasu rice, not nice at all. In fact we think the Kajiken's chasu rice was way better tasting and portion wise. I do enjoyed the wagyu dried noodle though, the noodle was very chewy but wagyu was very tiny and salty but overall still good. We will not come back unless there is no wait line. read more

They were pretty busy still, we waited about 20mins. We ordered, Hakata Tonkotsu DX Ramen, which came with (chashu pork, simmered pork belly, soft boiled egg, green onions, kikurage mushrooms, bean sprouts and buta kakuni (braised thick pork belly), corn, and nori seaweed. This was so flavorful I drank all the broth which I NEVER do. Portions is a little small but it is still wroth every penny I spend. A5 Wagyu Maze Soba a Soupless "mixing" ramen with chopped wagyu beef, thick straight noodles, a soft-boiled egg, green onions, red onions, garlic chips, kaiware is by far one of the BEST noodle dish my daughter ever had, she said this is her favorite ramen restaurant now even though they forgot to made her dish. The portion on that was perfect. A5 Wagyu Skewer was so good and tasty. The service was great ever though the server forgot to order my daughter dish. Ramen is as good as SF's and Oakland's locations. This is the 2nd time I have been to this Dublin location. This time I came 15-20 minutes prior to store opening. Table was sat VERY slowly one table at a time, with at least 5-8 mins WAIT time between sitting patrons to 2/3 of the tables still empty. Patrons have been lining up about 30 minutes outside already. It almost felt like it was his or the restaurant's tactic to sit people SLOWER so the line outside looked very long. When in fact when it first opened, it took them 35-40 minutes to completely sit the whole restaurant. If you see this guy serving in the front entrance to sit patrons, expect VERY slowly service even just to get seated. On the contrary, Marufuku Oakland would have sat that line of Patrons at store opening within 20 mins. Already expected wait and a long wait: that was my assumption already. So this sitting patrons really slow was quite unacceptable. Ramen DX was tasty, flavorful and just the right amount of intensity in the broth. Ambiance was nice and roomy. read more

They don't rush you to flip your table either once you're seated which we appreciated. Nate our server was kind, patient, and gave great recommendations based on our preferences. We all went with the spicy chicken ramen at our table and it was SO GOOD. One person got the Waygu skewer to try and said it was good, but not excellent. I can see why this place is so busy and popular because the ramen is absolutely delicious here! I got the hakata tonkatsu deluxe ramen which had rich pork bone broth, with the deluxe version coming with extra and buta kakuni (braised thick pork belly), corn, and nori seaweed. I also ordered the braised pork rice bowl on the side and a extra ramen add on, which for 2 extra dollars is extremely worth because it was almost another full portion of noodles. Rice bowl- Decent, rice was good and had the braised sauce topped on the rice from the pork. The pork was super chunky and meaty, soft and tender. Ramen- I would drink and bathe in this broth if I'm able to. Super rich broth and the noodles were not too chewy. The noodles wee made perfectly and all the toppings ranging from the corn, to chashu, and pork chunks were all very cohesive and crucial in making this ramen a bowl of comfort. It almost felt as if I was eating a hug. I wish that I had the ultra spicy because the spicy version wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be, but they have extra chili powder on the side that you can add on. All in all, solid! read more

The only issue was that the two pieces of pork (char siu) in my Hakata Tonkotsu were very thin and small, although still tasty. I've grown accustomed to frequenting Marufuku in Japantown SF (a very nostalgic memory) or Oakland, so my brain is still processing that the Ulferts Center I grew up in now has one too! I've seen a lot of businesses cycle through this particular suite, but I am very certain they will break the unlucky streak and are here to stay. My family and I came for lunch on day 2 of their grand opening (a Thursday), so a line was expected. It actually went by quickly (10-15 minute wait around 12:40pm), and I suspect it's because working people were on their lunch break so they slurped their noodles and left lol. We had a great experience with service considering they're very new; the host was always on the move matching people to tables and the servers seemed to be helping each other's tables. We were recommended the Wagyu Mazesoba ($18) as it's currently the only location that serves it, but it's a soupless mixing ramen and the whole fam was craving hot noodle soup. So we all got the Hakata Tonkotsu Dx ($21.50)! The bowl looks small but it is DEEP. My mom and sister had leftovers enough for a second meal. The pork broth was indeed rich but not too heavy, and I particularly loved the tender fall-apart chashu and pork belly. You can choose your spice level and I opted for mild, but I did not taste a thing lol. They have the spice in a small pot on the table, so I added a spoonful and it was perfect. Our waiter recommended finishing off the meal with a Jumbo Melon Cream Soda ($8) which is melon soda with vanilla ice cream, and I will definitely try that next time! Sounds refreshing after the rich broth. Their Yuzu Ginger Ale and refillable iced matcha sound good too! Food-wise I will share one of the rice bowls or curry rice to try more menu items. *Rounding up from 3.5 stars* Came here on their fourth day of opening. The line was about an hour long. They had bar seating and booths. Even though there were open seats the kitchen was very backed up so they slowed down seating. I finally got seated at the bar and put my order in. I had ordered a drink, after a few minutes my server said she was bringing it, half way through my meal I asked another server and he brought it. After I was done with my meal, she brought it over and I said I already got it and asked for ther check. The food itself was alright, the broth was quite salty but other than that I'll try it again during off peak times. read more

I used to be a very anti-ramen human so whenever my husband wanted ramen when we were in Oakland I would just get the vegetable ramen bc it was 'healthier'. And then I got pregnant and everything changed:) I am obsessed with the chicken paitan ramen - the broth is thick and savory, the noodles are perfection and the staff is very accommodating.
