After our group's hike at a regional park in the area, we had selected Marufuku for lunch on a recent Friday. I've been to the SF location and was looking forward to dining at this new location. I joined the waitlist on Yelp shortly before arriving. It's located at one end of the Ulferts Center and we parked right in front. Walked up at 1:35pm and the list on the iPad in front had me second on the list. It was a wait of about 5 minutes before we were seated. Our server Irvin asked if it was our first time here and he went over the menu with us. After checking out the menu, we placed our orders, which came out in about 5 minutes. I went with the Hakata DX - the Hakata style ramen with rich pork broth comes with chashu pork, a seasoned soft-boiled egg, green onions, kikurage mushrooms, bean sprouts pickled ginger, corn, sesame seeds, nori seaweed and the item that the regular Hakata Tonkatsu doesn't have, the braised thick pork belly. It's been years since I dined at the SF location, but the taste of the flavorful broth brought back memories. The thick pieces of pork belly were so tender. The ramen had a nice chew. All the toppings made this so tasty. The bowl might look small, but I was very satisfied after finishing it. Service was friendly, water glasses refilled. Will be back if in the area.

Food: first time trying Marufuku! Personally I like lighter but flavorful broth, which their paitan is thicker than I expected. However, overall the flavors are good and their limited maze noodles are especially tasty! It's only available here so you must give it a try! Service: very friendly and helpful staff. Ambiance: clean and casual. Quiet most of the time so it's a good place to catch up in a small group and enjoy a quick meal of ramen!

I have been to the one in San Jose and this is the first time trying the Dublin location. There was a short wait when we went for lunch but wasn't bad. The interior was not huge but spacious enough. Very simple minimalist decor. 6 of us we ordered 2 appetizers, 3 mazemen, 2 ramen, and 1 tonkatsu curry rice. The portion was generous and most of us couldn't finish our plates. I liked the texture of the mazemen and both the chicken karaage and ika appetizers were quite good. I do want to mention a couple of areas they could have done better. With the Wagyu mazemen, overall it was very tasty and good, but out of just maybe 6 pieces of Wagyu beef, mine had one piece was mostly fat. I know Wagyu can be fatty and I enjoy some fat but this was basically a piece of fat with a little bit of meat. And the other thing is we had to ask for service several times including for water and to go boxes, while it wasn't that busy. The food is tasty here but it's also on the pricy side. Once in a while is okay.

Delicious. Taste just as good as japantown albeit quieter and staff in not such a rush. Came here in two separate days. Tried the paitan, tonkatsu, and the Wagyu dry noodles. Also had the Wagyu skewer. Paitan is my favorite with whatever that red powder was. Tonkatsu a second. Wagyu eh. Tender and juicy but honestly it's not it. Would rather you use salt and pepper instead of that house teriyaki sauce. Nonetheless. I enjoyed it and am glad I don't have to drive too far for great ramen.

Average food, not as good as expected but really nice interior, bathroom, and dishes and excellent kids menu. Therefore 4 stars. Friendly and attentive service at first, later on less attentive. (3 star food, 5 star interior, 4 star service) Kids menu very good $10 for a choice of small bowl of ramen vs chasu rice bowl, karaage chicken 2 piece, handful of fries (ok), honest juice box, pineapple jelly dessert. And gatcha coin! Free toy bracelets and cars. Katsu curry- crispy pork Katsu with nice creamy Japanese curry and perfect short grain rice with fukushinzuke. 5/5 Gyoza - great, not deep fried, very juicy and classic Japanese taste. Perfect sauce 5/5 Salad - disappointingly bland. Had a small bug in my salad which was fine, but the flavor was just ok. Had cut bell peppers, half tomatoes, and onions. 3/5 comes with a sweet plum dressing and tuna broth soy dressing. Tonkotsu broth- disappointing bland. Needs more flavor. 2/5 Karaage - dry and not flavorful. 1/5

I recently tried Marufuku Ramen in Walnut Creek, so I didn't feel an urgent need to visit the Dublin location. But I wanted to take my parents there, and I'm so glad I did because I had no idea they offered a Dublin exclusive menu item, the Wagyu Mazesoba, $20 as of July 2026. It's a brothless mixing ramen with chopped Wagyu beef, thick noodles, soft, boiled, egg, green onions, red on, garlic chip, Kaiware (which are daikon radish sprouts), and a side of chili oil and vinegar. This ended up being something I super duper enjoyed. The noodles were thick, chewy, and incredibly bouncy. Even without adding the chili oil, the bowl was already packed with flavor. At the bottom of the bowl was this rich, savory sauce/oil that coated every strand of noodles perfectly. The Wagyu beef was marinated and cooked beautifully, and it paired so well with the noodles. I also really enjoyed the soft boiled egg. With that said, if only they offered a raw egg yolk as an option, I honestly think this could rival Kajiken. The whole dining experience was wonderful because the service was excellent too. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I also really liked the atmosphere and ambience of the restaurant. It felt bright, spacious, clean, and well organized. The air conditioning was especially great on a hot summer day. Overall, it was a really enjoyable dining experience.

Our server today was very attentive, I think his name is Nathan. Wavy short hair with glasses. The weekday lunch crowd started to be packed around 12:17pm. The sizzling chicken leg is as good as the many times that I went or the Oakland location. The 'new to me' Waygu Dried Noodle was very good. Might be even better if pieces of Waygu was lightly bigger and two or three more pieces. Then the combo between meat and noodles will be perfect! Chicken Karaage was good. Huge difference when a server is doing his job with heart and attentiveness or not. Huge shoutout! Ambiance is always nice. Clean bright and huge store. Will come again for the dry noodle special.

Food was excellent as usual! Savory soup with chewy ramen noodles. Our waiter, Kevin, was super patient and helpful, explained the entire menu to the newbies in our party. He suggested ordering soft noodles when we told him our preference for non-al dente texture. And Kevin's suggestion for the soupless ramen was amazing! We will definitely be back to try all the other items!

Loved that we were getting a ramen place in the Tri-Valley ! I've had Marafuku in Oakland so my expectations were quite high. I do really like that they have the waitlist option on yelp so we didn't have to wait too long on a Friday night. The restaurant aesthetic was modern contemporary and had lots of tables and a bar seating area. The servers were fast and attentive. I ended up getting the gyoza and the Hakata Tonkotsu DX. This is where it fell short for me. The crust on the gyoza wasn't crispy, it tasted burnt and had a chewy sticky texture to it despite the looks of it. The noodles and the egg were overcooked. I asked for ultra spicy but it tasted very mild even with the chili oil. The broth itself is very creamy which I liked but it just felt lacking.

The service was very attentive and the ambiance is nice. This is my first time at marufuku and it's honestly alright. The noodles aren't really ramen noodles and the soba doesn't have actual soba noodles. I'm sure this location is just like the rest, so nothing against the Dublin location, but I think this is really just okay for a ramen place. The ramen selection is pretty minimal too. No beef ramen or even a classic black garlic is kind of a shame to see. Again, nothing against this location, but a little disappointed to see the price of ramen compared to the ramen/ soba we got.

I am so happy that Marilou Ramen opened a new restaurant in Dublin . I used to go to their San Diego restaurant and San Francisco Japan town restaurant whenever I visited those cities . I love their rich broth and the curved ridge of the ceramic bowl , that is their signature look of ramen bowls . I ordered the Hakata Tonkotsu Ramen: Char Siu pork belly was simmered , green onion , seaweed , seasoned soft boil egg , kikuyu mushroom and bean sprouts. You can add extra toppings for a fee . There are some interesting drinks on the menu like rainbow peach or lychee soda , melon cream soda and Sakura lemonade. There are other options in the menu besides ramen ( curry rice , small bites , mazesoba with Wagyu beef , etc ) Spice powder can be requested to come on the side ( very spicy ) . Now they have gluten- free noodles . A must try Ramen restaurant for the good food and good service ! Parking is just at the front door. It does get filled up by lunch time. There are only more parking in the back of the plaza .

Finally a good ramen place in the east bay. Been to the one in J town and glad they opened one here. Their service is great and glad the line was not too long. The Halakata To katsu Dlx was delicious. They have plenty of tables and you can actually have a conversation as the tables are not too close to each other and their staff is very attentive:

Glad to see a good ramen spot open up in the area! The lines looked long for dinner on a Friday around 5:30pm, so definitely get on that waitlist online as soon as it's available. The restaurant opened for dinner at 5pm, got on the waitlist at 5:15pm, and were seated by 6pm. Their Chicken Karaage appetizer was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and crispy. The tangy dipping sauce was perfect. The Hakata Tonkotsu DX ramen was delicious and the broth was well-balanced and perfectly rich, without being too much. The texture of the noodles is not my preference. I prefer more of a bouncy, chewy texture. But the tender meat, toppings, and broth were my favorite. Friendly service! Expect it to be busy, loud, & a little chaotic inside. Would love to come back to try their specialty items and other dishes.

How long are the lines this week?

To be honest, it is difficult to predict. But my suggestion is to get there early and expect a 15 to 25 minutes wait, depending on the time you arrive (whether it is during peak lunch time or dinner time). Good luck!

A lot of ramen places take pride in presentation but Fujiwara called it a day and sent it out. I was skeptical until I took my first bite. I was pleasantly surprised. It was very good and not heavily seasoned with salt. I enjoyed it. Will definitely come back.

Albeit I am a vegetarian and I got the veggie ramen with tofu, mushrooms, corn, bean sprouts and a boiled egg on the side. I also opted for the creamy version of their veggie broth and loved it. Ramen noodles were great and cooked well too. Looking at the menu, I know I had to try their signature ramen as well as a delicious appetizer. Chicken Karaage: This was delicious and crispy. Hiroshi Tonkotsu Ramen: This is their signature ramen. It is a pork broth ramen filled with thinner noodles, an egg, bamboo, mushrooms, scallions and some truffle oil of sort, and not to mention two pieces of pork. Overall, this was a delicious broth. The soup was not too salty for me and the flavor was divine. The noodles were a bit thin for my liking, but still good. My only gripe was that once the broth settles and you eat most of everything, I cannot sip my broth due to the grainy texture I get at the end. Overall, I had a good time here with my friend and her boyfriend. I see myself coming back here again.

I came here for lunch just as they opened and was seated immediately. You scan a QR code on the table for the menu, which was overwhelming. There are so many categories and choices within each category: sushi, ramen, bento boxes, hot dishes, oysters, small plates, and more. We chose from their Lunch specials: + Nigiri lunch - you get 6 nigiris and several maki rolls (chef's choice). All were so fresh and delicious, and beautifully presented. + Chirashi Don - freshly cut fish, roe, and a few veggies over perfectly cooked sushi rice. + Soup & Salad - this came with our lunches. The miso soup was very good and not salty like most. The salad had a vinaigrette dressing with an herb I can't put my finger on. It was very refreshing. The lunches were in the $30 range, which is a bit steep. I'd definitely come back here for celebrations.

Salmon belly nigiri - 5/5: very fresh, melt in your mouth. Hamachi belly nigiri - 5/5: again very fresh, melt in your mouth Salmon nigiri - 4/5: had to see what the regular salmon tasted like. Was very good compared to others I've had in the area. Chu Toro nigiri - 5/5: as you would expect, very fresh melt in your mouth. Chicken thigh skewer - 4/5: good served weigh onions in between. Pork belly skewer - 4/5: very good, tender and juicy. Seasoned just right. Ribeye skewer - 3/5: this was not as tender as I expected. Would skip this next time. Scallop skewer - 4/5: good char and seasoned right. Overall service was decent. My wife did have to ask for hot tea twice before getting it. Other than that, service was available when waved over. The food itself was very good, half star minus for the missed tea. I would defiant try this place again. I'm

Smaller restaurant, maybe 10-14 total tables. Light decor. With a see through window into the kitchen. When you enter you are pointed to a table. They drop down menus but you walk to the cashier to order. We ordered the following: Popcorn chicken Crab and pork xiao long bao (8) Lo mein Pan fried pork buns (4) Popcorn chicken doesn't feel like they skimp and have good size chunks of chicken. Feels like Taiwanese fried chicken from your local boba shop. Xiao long bao was the star of the order, solid soup dumplings with great filling and broth. Pan fried pork buns, second favorite dish. Similiar as in a broth on the interior but purely pork. The bun is more of a softer bread you would get in like siopao in Filipino dishes. Quick service, food comes out quick, and plenty of portions that we eventually take home left overs. Staff is friendly and quick to clear tables. Highly recommend to stop by.

My friend and I heard the same thing! However, when it came time to pay, I was charged full price. When I brought it up and even pointed out the worker, the staff claimed they had no idea what I was talking about. At that point, I just let it go but honestly, it didn't get any better from there. Every dish we ordered was bland, lacked flavor, and wasn't consistent at all. To make matters worse, I noticed something concerning near the cashier. They were refilling the water jug using what looked like a used plastic container that didn't appear clean or sanitary, which was really off-putting. Overall, this experience was disappointing from start to finish, both in terms of service and food quality.
