So slow, in fact, I was ready to leave. I ended up staying because their croquettes ended up being delicious. Super crunchy on the outside and very soft on the inside. I was in heaven and ate them all. After I finished my croquettes, I waited for my ramen. Took about 40 minutes for it to come out. By the time it came out, I was underwhelmed by the presentation. A lot of ramen places take pride in presentation but Fujiwara called it a day and sent it out. I was skeptical until I took my first bite. I was pleasantly surprised. There's honestly not that many ramen places in Dublin but this is where we go whenever we are craving ramen! The ramen is decent, beer is super affordable, and staff is always nice. We usually get the kuro tonkotsu. But if you're in the mood for something lighter, the butter scallop is nice as well (just ask them to exclude or take out the butter before it all melts if you don't want that). On top of ramen they also serve Hong Kong style dishes. Personally I prefer their ramen over the rice and spaghetti entrees. read more

First time here and it was good, albeit pretty pricey for ramen. It's a later dinner crowd that came here on a Saturday so arriving at 5:15 was just fine. We were seated quickly and our order was taken. Only a couple tables were occupied when we arrived. The fujiwara ramen was flavorful. It came out really hot too. At first, it looked small so I also ordered the fried oysters. As I ate, I realized the bowl had a lot more food and ramen in it than one could see and the oysters had a lot of batter on them. Between these two, I was pretty full afterwards. Beers on tap are inexpensive. Service was quick and the staff was pleasant. By the time we left around 6:30, the place was packed and there was a line outside. Would I come back again? Not sure. It's not that the food is bad - in fact it's good. I was in the area and really craving some bomb so I decided to check this place out. Upon entering, it's a mix of Cantonese, Hong Kong Cafe, food and Japanese food. I will say my favorite was the car. The pieces were very large and very filling after eating an entire order I pretty much couldn't eat any of the Ramen anymore. The Ramen that I got was the black garlic tonkatsu, which was definitely heavier and denser. Soup was pretty good, but after a couple bites, especially after eating the chicken I couldn't eat anymore and had to take it back home. My grandpa got a chicken Ramen, and he said there wasn't much flavor. I didn't really try so I'm not exactly sure. Parking took a minute especially in the evening. Had their ramen a long time ago, and it was pretty good. However, this review is focused on their Hong Kong cafe items. Sometime in 2024, Fujiwara introduced Hong Kong (HK) style cafe menu. Wifey loves HK food so we had to try. We went with a few Hong Kong folks. The fried chicken wings were legit and the fries were very crispy. The curry fish balls were not bad, but thought the flavor was a tad lacking. I had the baked seafood with white cream sauce and I liked it. I went again recently and tried their curry ox tongue with rice. There were a lot of tongue pieces and tender enough with still some texture for chewing. What made my meal better was the Asahi draft beer. Interesting that they offer both ramen and HK cafe food, but good enough taste for me that I would go back. This is an interesting place that offers Japanese and Hong Kong cafe fusion dishes. My default dish is their curry ox tongue rice. With a full price menu item, a Hong Kong milk tea can be had for $2. The ox tongue is sliced and tender. Together with curry sauce and rice, each bite is quite heavenly. Surprisingly you can eat all the rice before all the slices of tongue. That's enjoying the dish. My wife and I were walking around in the area looking for food while charging our car. We saw that this place had decent reviews and so decided to check it out. We opted to order from the HK style menu (cha chaan teng) because it has been awhile since we were able to enjoy this food. We were surprised about how good the food was. I ordered the pork chop over rice (with tomato sauce) while my wife got the chicken steak over spaghetti (with white sauce). Both were really tasty. The pork shop was especially tender. I was craving some hot ramen on this cold Sunday evening and remembered that I haven't tried Fujiwara so I had to see what it was about. It's a cute small space with a bar setting in the middle of the restaurant. We were seated right away and our waitress came by with menus and water. We started off with the chicken Karaage. It had a crispy light batter and it was tender and juicy. Pretty yummy I recommend. Had to try their original ramen which has a lovely pork broth. It tasted clean to me but with also a strong pork flavor which I thoroughly enjoyed. The menu did say you can pick between thin and thick noodles but we were never asked about this. Anyway, the noodles tasted great, the egg was cooked perfectly and the flavors all came together. If I had to nitpick about this dish would be the actual chashu (Japanese pork belly), I don't think it was the greatest while other restaurants would stand out in this pork belly. We also tried the black garlic ramen which had a delicious garlic flavor and I think I would order that next time. I'd definitely come back to try their other dishes. read more

Great soup ramen here, though I typically come for their Hong Kong cafe selections. They make the best iced lemon tea in the whole bay area, which actually tastes better than the ones in Hong Kong also. Perfect tea intensity and sweetness, plus the lemon has a unique citrusy flavor to it. Their Hong Kong milk tea is also great (can't beat the Hong Kong version but is authentic nonetheless). And we love their Ovaltine french toast - it's a must-try! They typically don't get too busy and bar and table seating are always available. Prices are also very reasonable. Last night, I ordered the Tonkatsu Curry over rice for delivery. It was still nice and warm by the time I received it. Curry was on the side as to not soggy up the breading on the pork. I didn't get any potato in my curry though. Just carrots and onion. Maybe that was just the luck of the ladle draw. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the portion was just right. Really enjoyed the food at Fujiwara. Their menu had a lot of options that can suit a big party with different cravings. The menzame was silky and flavorful. The combination of the fresh veggies and saltiness of the pork makes a great mix. I would recommend ordering this since it is a bit unique for the Dublin area and it feels lighter compared to a full bowl of noodle soup. The agedashi tofu is something I would also recommend. Our family is visiting from out of town and we ordered from Fujiwara. Many of us ordered various ramen bowls, and one ordered the katsu curry don. We added on edamame, kara age, fried oysters, and a mini cha shu bowl for all to share. It was SO good!! The broths were delicious. The fried dishes were crisp and not oily. The food was ready quickly for so many dishes (to feed seven people), and the interaction with the restaurant personnel (I think it was the owner) was nice. L O C A T I O N In the Ulferts plaza in Dublin right near Koi Palace Express. They share a parking lot with all the other shops and restaurants. Parking can be challenging during peak dining times. Go closer towards the sides of the plaza to get better parking options. I N S I D E They have a bar seating area in the middle with "larger" tables on the sides. Three large TVs are on each side of the room. M E N U As it is a ramen spot, there is of course ramen. They also have appetizers as well as katsu curry. On the table there is a menu for Mazemen which is a brothless ramen. You can get the ramen with thin or thick noodles. The thick noodle is what I know as "standard" ramen noodles. So if you want thinner than that, then you go with the thin. We got the Fujiwara Ramen with extra noodles, gyoza and pork katsu curry. The gyoza was standard and came with a sweet vinegary sauce. Slight crisp on the bottom, juicy meat inside. The Fujiwara ramen was fine. The broth was okay. The noodles bouncy. The star of this ramen was the chashu. It was thinly sliced, but the flavor on that chashu was *chefs kiss*. The pork katsu curry was okay as well. The curry felt like boxed curry. Not enough veggies in my opinion. The pork was actually moist. S E R V I C E Our waters were definitely filled often which was nice. We had to flag folks when we ended up finally ordered (we had to ask to give us time initially) and then when we were finished to get the check. That's all, but everyone was very friendly and helpful. O V E R A L L I think I would want to try out more ramen here but for now, it's actually not a bad choice. Came here on a Thursday evening for dinner. Restaurant was about 30% full. Not too big of a place. We were seated right away. The waitress kept the required interactions to a minimum. We were feeling like ramen, but saw that the restaurant offered other items as well. The menu was almost overwhelming. My review here is solely based on my single dish and a taste of my friend's curry dish. Both were very good and pretty much no frills type of dish. It was a Sunday dinner time when I had a craving for Hong Kong style food. The Chicken A La King with rice was delicious. The rice underneath is like a bed of egg fried rice. It's not overly flavorful but that's how you'd want it because the baked white sauce is so savory good. It had just enough creaminess. I love how the onion slices and vegetables still retain their bite and sweetness within this baked dish. I had to wait longer than the folks around us eating ramen, but I satisfied my craving. Today I slid through Dublin on my way home, and because of the rainy weather, it was a perfect excuse to get some Ramen. Upon entering, dining area was smaller than I anticipated, plenty of patrons however it was cozy, but not crowded. There's a great vibe about the place, it's comfy. My daughter and I were immediately seated and served water, and appetizers and beverages were ordered. My daughter decided on a honey melon tea, but unfortunately they were out of honey. No problem, she just decided water and hot tea would sufficient...I just needed something warm, and with that ordered hot tea as well. I wanted Calamari, but they recently removed it from the menu. So instead, I ordered fried oysters. They were cooked deliciously in a perfectly fried batter and served with dipping sauce. My daughter ordered (R8) Miso Ramen and I ordered (R3) Kuro Tonkotsu ( Black Garlic). Both were flavorfully well balanced. I think what made an even better experience, was everyone was so nice, entertaining and just seemed like it's a place that's has a warm and inviting vibe to it! I tried their HK milk tea and it was really solid. Definitely on-par if not better(and less pricey) than other eateries in the area. The Baked Pork Chop Rice was decent but nothing to write home about. The tomato sauce was tasty with a cheesy baked top with good portions of pork chop. The ramen remains solid all these years. I tried Fujiwara as it was recommended on social media, but I didn't quite see what the hype was about necessarily. They are located inside the Ulferts Center here in Dublin. I wanted to order the Tan Tan Mazemen, but for some reason apparently the kitchen couldn't make it. So, I ended up getting the Chashu Mazemen which was pretty good, I enjoyed the noodle and the chashu. I wish they gave more than 2 pieces of chashu though. The Tonkatsu Pork Curry was really good, it was fried just right and it had a very good strong curry taste. I enjoyed the curry flavor. The Pork Chop with Onion Rice Plate was okay, the pieces of the pork chop where two small looking pieces. This one was just okay, nothing too special or worth raving about. The ambiance of this place is okay, it's a small dinning room with a bar like table in the middle, with regular tables around it and they have two TV's playing throughout the restaurant. Pleasantly surprised, Fujiwara Ramen has become a stable in the Dublin Ramen scene! Overall, the olace is clean, service is fast, and the food is quite delicious! It was 4 of us so we decided that 2 bowls of ramen and a couple of appetizers should be enough, and boy I was glad we didn't order more cuz it was a lot of food. The chicken karaage was tasty and tender and the tofu was done just right. The Fujiwara ramen had corn and chicken breast with a lighter-bodied broth and enjoyed by the kids. Love the authentic HK dishes. My favorite is Ox tongue over rice with black pepper sauce, French toast and iced lemon tea. For HK style food, they taste the best in Tri-Valley! We ordered the Chashu Mazemen, Fujiwara ramen, and Kuro Tonkotsu (black garlic) . I really wanted to try this place because they offer mazemen, a soupless ramen. It's more common around LA and I've been looking for a place around here. I liked the chashu mazemen, it was really salty though and I'm not a huge fan of the benito flavor. But the noodles were thick and chewy, which is what I was really looking for. It was really nice to try, but I'm not sure if I'd get it again, if I did, I'd get a different flavor. My mom ordered the fujiwara ramen. She said the broth wasn't what she had been expecting and would have liked if it was thicker, more flavorful, and less oily. My dad got the black garlic ramen. He really liked the flavor, but also thought the broth could have been more flavorful. Overall, the service was nice and prompt. The restaurant was also nice and is in the Ulferts plaza. I would come again, if looking for mazemen, but probably would go somewhere else if I want soup ramen. read more
