A Japanese eatery in a non-traditional setting. There's a sushi counter, and indoor and outdoor seating. The service was prompt. Dragon roll - 4/5 The dragon roll was good. Dragon sushi roll features unagi, avocado, and shrimp tempura. The sushi rice was prepared just right, and the ingredients were fresh. California Roll - 5/5 The California Roll was made perfectly with just the right amount of ingredients and rice. Very delicious. The 3 item Bento has a nice variety of selections to choose from. The Teriyaki beef is tender, not dry. The Teriyaki chicken was a little on the dry side, but still delicious. If you select tempura , you'll get shrimp and 6 veggies all cooked and fried to perfection. If you select sashimi, you get the chef's choice for day. The fish was delicious, and tasted fresh, not overly fishy. Overall, we enjoyed our experience for lunch at Senro Sushi. I would recommend paying Senro Sushi a visit to quench your sushi cravings.

Such great sushi for even better prices! My friends and I had no problem being seated and they wanted to take our order immediately which was great. We did a few rounds of sushi and everything came out timely. All very filling, so fresh, and even more delicious. The salmon with ponzu and the hamachi were our absolute favorites. Their unagi and tuna are both obviously delicious and light as well. I don't think you could go wrong with any of their options. And they do have a lot of options!

This review is based on a takeout order. With that being said, I can't rate the service or ambience but as far as the food goes I would give it a 3/5. I typically don't like to order sushi to go because it's not as fresh, but my girl and I didn't feel like going out lol. The rolls were pretty decent nothing super special about it. I wish they had a little more sauce because they were a tad bit dry, but that's also expected when you order sushi to go. So overall, maybe just go inside and see if your experience with the quality of the food is better!

Met up with my nephew and his wife for dinner last night and we had an amazing time. Great service and yummy food with large portions for the dinner meals. The area was lively and fun.

This was such great and affordable sushi place! We ordered 3 roles: Salmon (far left), The Pearl (middle roll) and Hot Night (far right). The Pearl was by far my favorite. The flavors worked so well and the fish was very fresh. I am also a huge fan of sushi ginger and this one hit the spot. It was really really great! They also had so many flavor combos making it hard to choose! I will definitely be coming back The staff was also super friendly and so speedy with our order. The place was also very lively with a great atmosphere, and we were able to just walk in and get seated for 2!

I've been here a few times and the last time I came was with a large group. The service was okay and the food was alright for the price I suppose. But I guess what's disappointing is the presentation. It just seems to look more lifeless than the last visit. And not as fresh as when I first started coming here. I wanted to like the place as much as some of these yelpers but for now I'm more on the iffy side to return.

This is the classic Japanese restaurant American style the food is good, but the food is waiting too long for Sushi chef it's took us to wait about 50-60 minutes for all the rolls and sushi on the not busy Monday, if you plan to come on weekend please make sure to prepare the wait . The food from hot kitchen is fast like an Appetizer or noodles dishes. Service was good, dining room is big , they have beer bottles , Sake, Tea and soda.

Went for it again and it was great! My favorite thing about this place is the prices are very reasonable and the food is good quality. I love being able to order several different items without breaking the bank. Everything was delicious and neatly packaged once again. I always have to try a place 2-3 times before i can decide if i love it or not. I have decided that i love it here!!! Disclaimer: I only eat rolls so i can't speak for the sashimi or nigiri. The Shelby Roll might be my favorite roll I've ever had. I love that they use real crab, it really makes a difference. The Chicken Teriyaki don was good as well, the portion was pretty generous. Gyoza was golden deliciousness Even the miso soup they send with the order is pretty good. 10/10 for me.

Great lunch bento and very good price. I would definitely come again on a weekday. Cons, not enough cool air conditioning. Great service. Outdoor seatings available.

The Big Sushi Boat was delicious!!

It may be small but comfortably fit our large table of 4 families. We came at 5 pm on a Sunday (located near Meadow Lark). Sushi was excellent quality, and prices were fair. We ordered the large sushi boat, enough to feed 4 ppl. Customer service was excellent.

Be to box with Chicken Teriyaki, California Roll

Great food. Fast service. Oh, the joys of working in Downtown Pleasanton! you can't go wrong with the Bento Box meal. It has everything you need for lunch and the portions are big enough for leftovers.

I tend to shop nearby and have seen the restaurant but haven't been in the area during lunchtime until today. I did learn they also have lunch specials on Saturdays too, so I will be back with my husband next time. I walked in and ordered, and the lady was so nice and welcoming. My order was packed and ready to go without much of a wait, which was nice. It didn't take long, so it's very helpful for people on a time crunch. I got the 3 item bento box with katsu chicken, California roll, and sashimi. It also came with miso soup, salad, and rice. I got it to go, so I was happy the soup was included because I notice some restaurants don't always include soup on togo orders. The katsu chicken was light and seasoned nicely, and the katsu sauce tasted a little different than normal, so maybe it's freshly made. I wasn't a fan of the California roll only because I am not a fan of the whole roll chunks of imitation crab meat but it wasn't a full deal breaker. The sashimi tasted fresh with a nice, soft, buttery texture. I still think about their sashimi at times, it's up there with some of the best pieces of fish I've eaten.

My wife ordered sukiyaki and I ordered a 3 item bento box. I had gyoza, mixed tempura and chicken katsu with a salad, white rice and miso soup. I liked all three items in my bento: the gyoza didn't have a crispy bottom but good flavor, chicken katsu was tender with a nice deep fried coating and the tempura was fried nicely (light and crispy). My wife liked the flavor of the sukiyaki and the ingredients. My son's wife had a sashimi donburi with fresh fish and my son went with a three item bento beef teriyaki, mixed tempura and three piece nigiri. He said the Nigiri was fresh, tempura was fried nicely, not oily and the tempura was tasty. The Miso soup and salad were fresh and tasty. We will definitely go back. For a wide selection with fresh food and prepared after you order, give Kaki Sushi a try. Staff is very attentive.

I came in around 6pm and when I walked in there was 1 other table there and not busy. I would say it's a small spot that seats less than 50 people but it was nice and clean. I decided to get two rolls and a 6 piece nigiri that comes with a hand roll. Gorilla Roll - 9/10. I'm always a sucker for seared rolls. The salmon being seared gives it extra sweetness and the siracha mayo actually had a nice kick it to it and wasn't just sweet. The fried shallots on top added nice texture being crunchy with extra flavor. This was my favorite roll. Rosewood Roll - 8/10. You can taste that the fish is fresh. If you like salmon and tuna I would get this roll. What I liked about it as well was the spicy crab on top which carried a small amount of spice but adds to the flavor. Moriwase - 9/10. It comes with 6 nigiri and a hand roll. Again the fish is fresh and has good flavor. The portion was normal, definitely not small. The nigiri comes with a brush of soy sauce so no need to dip, but feel free to. I just wish it had some more wasabi cause I didn't taste any. It came with a spicy tuna hand roll which I liked a lot because it had a good kick. Service was great even though I was the only one in there after the table before me left but the lady was very nice and attentive. She even offered some home made dessert that was packaged in a cute box after having some small convo. I talked to the sushi chef and he's been making sushi for over 15 years and I could tell that he puts some passion in his craft. He told me everyone says the fish is fresh but he really tries to make the flavor known which I think he executed well. They also get their fish flown/delivered on Tuesdays/Thursday. If you're in the area I would recommend trying this spot. It's definitely a safe option and I'll be coming back to try the other items.

That said, phone sounds blasting from the kitchen does seem a bridge too far for me personally. It's just not professional and totally kills the possibility of an enjoyable meal. Service was friendly, but on the slow side. The atmosphere is super informal, featuring posters of food that is not actually on the menu. Food wise, it was OK. The miso soup was pretty expensive. The best dish by far was the futo-maki roll. Really good flavor for a vegetarian roll. The 'fresh crab' in the other roll we ordered was not good. Rice being IMO the most important element in sushi was executed well, but my chirashi had all the fish served fridge cold and with pretty rough, haphazard cuts. For the overall price of the experience, it just doesn't seem worth it.

The only difference is that they largely moved to just serving dine-in orders in plastic to-go boxes. Coming back here after so many years made me realize that this is the place where I think they do the Lion King roll the best. Almost every other place I've tried has a weird twist to their recipe. The restaurant setting was fairly plain, but I noticed that they offered a good amount of seating inside for dine-in guests. Was quoted 15-30 minutes online, but it was ready when I arrived about 10 minutes after ordering. Then I discovered that the order was wrong. I was given edamame by mistake, instead of egg rolls. No apology given, just confusion (one worker questioning another worker on why she would do that), but they assured me they would make the correct order and it would take 5 more minutes. In reality, I had to wait an additional 10-15 minutes, but at least they fixed the issue. Staff was friendly. Btw, the menu states that the egg rolls are made with a mix of veggies and meat. But these were filled with vegetables only, no meat. Taste was okay, and the eggroll wrapper was thicker than I'd prefer. I'm used to the king and queen eggroll spots where the product has more size and better flavor with a light and crispy exterior (I know plenty of these in the south bay). It wasn't bad, but I probably wouldn't get this again at Fat Fish Sushi. On the other hand, the lion king roll was really good, made with quality ingredients and prepared perfectly. Too bad it got cold since it was ready 15 minutes before the rest of my order.

And 8pc were only $40. Salmon rolls (salmon salmon) and (orange ocean) were both good. Nice citrus hit in orange ocean but doesn't overpower - salmon salmon roll had good crisp and umami from the fried skin. The sashimi platter was solid - nothing that blew my mind but it was pretty good quality fish, only minor complaint was it was cut into oddly shaped chunks and not consistent in texture between each bite Also they gave a LOT of plum wine, not skimpy at all!
