Ordered through door dash and was happy with the delivery service and speed! My family wanted to have sushi for dinner during SIP so we gave Senro a try. We ordered: Hamachi Kama - this was delicious. Very fresh, perfect amount of salt flavor and grilled to perfection while the fish stayed moist inside. CA Roll - this was just ok. I didn't like the fresh crab meat they used as it was a little too flaky and lacked some flavor. Tempura - this was good. Very flakey and crispy, just the way tempura should be made. Shelby Roll - spicy tuna, crab, tuna, hamachi and avocado with special sauce. This was tasty as the sauce was creamy and sweet enhancing the flavor of the roll. Happy Hour - soy paper, spicy tuna, crabmeat, shrimp tempura, cucumber and sauce. This was excellent. Red Dragon - spicy tuna with tuna on top. Not my favorite as the tuna was overwhelming to have double portion on every bite. Also, didn't like the chunks of sriracha that wasn't mixed evenly. Rainbow - ca roll topped with all sorted fish. This was just ok because I wasn't fond of the ca roll. Ecstasy - spicy ca roll, topped with tuna, salmon, hamachi and eel. This was pretty good. A different flavor in every bite. Overall I think I would order again but probably not my first choice. I think some other sushi restaurants I would also like to try. read more

Delicious sushi? In Pleasanton?? Yoooouuu BET! I found myself in downtown Pleasanton after doing some hiking and wine tasting with friends earlier on in the day. Decided to hang around after everyone had left and do a little Dora the explorin' which of course worked up my appetite. I came across Senro while driving down the Main Street and decided to give it a try. This is the perfect definition of a local town sushi house! The atmosphere is extremely home-like. Everything from the interior brick walls to the cabin-like exterior just screamed "home" to me. It felt like I was having dinner at a friend's house as opposed to dining at a restaurant. I absolutely loved the homey environment and inviting atmosphere. When I first walked in, the place was relatively empty. However, it filled up quickly with locals later on. The menu consists of your typical Japanese fare and was moderately priced. I ended up ordering their 3-item combo with chicken teriyaki, gyoza, and their California roll. A pretty basic order, but they executed this very well! The miso soup was really delightful. The broth was flavorful and had just the right amount of heat. Their salad was especially refreshing! I could tell that the iceberg lettuce was fresh by the crunch and I absolutely adored their salad dressing. The gyoza was spot on! It had that perfect boiled to deep fried ratio and still remained nice and tender internally. The chicken teriyaki was decent but lacked in flavor and could have benefited from more teriyaki sauce. The California rolls were my favorite! Great size and a good crab to rice ratio. They used real crab and fresh avocado in the center; a total weakness of mine when it comes to the basic Cali roll. It tasted like the chef had literally rolled it 2 seconds ago, but it didn't fall apart at all. Their California roll made me want to try out their other rolls! For something as simple as a Cali roll, I felt that it really stood out above the crowd. Would love to try out their other rolls when I'm in the area again. This place is complete chaos. Came for a pickup order and saw that there were servers literally RUNNING around the restaurant picking up phones, seating guests (no wait ever), and running out food. While surely, I appreciate the hustle, it's clear to me that they want to maximize profits and not hire more staff. Their ticket count was insane, accepting all of the orders they possibly could while ignoring customer etiquette. The food isn't good enough here to be sitting down while servers are running past me as I try to enjoy my meal. Go to Wayne's Sushi nearby. Much more organized. read more

This place is spacious and there is no wait on a Saturday night. Price was average with around $14-16 per special roll. I have a decent selection of sushi rolls. We ordered lion king, spiderman, 49ers, unagi and hamachi rolls. Everything tasted super fresh. The sauce was a bit too sweet, and there was too much avacado in each roll which overpowered the salmon. Service was a little ridiculous as the server came and asked if we wanted more water, my boyfriend's cup was only 1/4 full so he said yes. The server filled the cup to less than only half full and walked away. Besides that, everything else was great and we would definitely come back. read more

Man.....I love this little hidden away sushi spot. I've been coming for years and am just reviewing now. I always and I mean always have the shrimp festival. It's my absolute favorite roll. No other place compares. The mix of the shrimp tempura crunch with the rice and avocado and the sauces in top-SO good. The house salad dressing is by far my favorite from any other sushi place. My husband got chirashi and he said all of the fish tasted fresh and they didn't skimp on the sizes of the pieces!! The service is fantastic too. The gals working were on trip of clearing plates and refilling drinks before you could even ask. Can't wait to come back!!! read more

While I'm nursing school I had clinicals by the nursing home that's just up the road, I would always come here and let me just say it's really worth it. I always looked forward coming here during my lunch break and I would always get the katsu bento box as it surprised me for the price it's pretty filling, even outside the bento the sushi rolls are amazing. if I could give this place more than 5 stars I would do it in a heart beat read more

I called the restaurant and they complained about being overburdened. Now, if when the sushi arrived it was good, I may forgive ... but it wasn't. Unagi has a ton of bones and was weirdly sour, spicy tuna roll was sour and had an unrecognizable spice and the BBQ sauce on the "Rock N Roll" was sour as well. I've came here twice for lunch. Their best deal is the bento box. You can order three items and it comes with soup and salad. I always get the chicken katsu with gyoza and sashimi(3piece) side. My boyfriend loves ordering their saba and vegetable tempura with nigiri. Every one of these items are delicious. The sashimi is always fresh and the chicken katsu is juicy. The only part I was a little disappointed with is the salad dressing for the salad. It was bland in my opinion. But overall, is a nice place for lunch! read more

Disclaimer: I do not eat sushi, and believe me I've tried. I met up with The Mom Squad for a Saturday night off. I love the outdoor deck seating and little white lights. I found the service to be friendly but not quite attentive enough. Specifically, I came and joined the group and wasn't offered a wine glass or given the chance to place a drink order. When ordering did take place, the sushi came out and my udon didn't come for another 10 minutes. I would choose not to get the chicken udon, because there was actually too much chicken and I didn't care for the rubbery overcooked texture. But the noodles were thatperfect consistency, and the broth was hot and delicious. So I'd definitely order this again, and get it without the chicken. My friends all enjoyed their sushi (I don't know what they had, but I have some photos). Online ordering did not work despite several attempts but I think that's more on the system they chose to use than the restaurant itself. Chirashi looked nice but a lot of the fish was really fishy tasting if you know what I mean so did not finish. Miso soup was a little lacking in flavor. Some others in our group got the bento boxes with chicken teriyaki and that was pretty standard issue fare. I'd say if you're going for anything other than sashimi you'll be ok. read more

Senro sushi is excellent. The fish is fresh and the portions are great for the price. Mind you the portions matter more in the western world than Japan. In Japan, the rice is about half the size here and the fish is longer and less wide but melts in your mouth. Those two things; the rice and the freshness and cut of the fish decide the quality for me. Having said that, still Senro has great value and taste great. All other food there is way above average. My family is regular at Senro. I highly recommend it. read more

Really, really bad experience tonight at Senro Sushi. It was an 80-82 degree day today tops, and yet is was 90-95 degrees inside the restaurant. They had all the doors open, and it was like a sauna in there. I had to step outside for fresh air twice during our 40 minute wait. I am sorry, but business owners that are too cheap to pay the $40-$50 it would cost to run the AC for the day should simply not be in business. If the AC is broken, they need to post a sign or tell us this BEFORE we enter for dinner. (The AC was not broken.) They then gave us water with about 4 ice cubes in it and it never got cold. I figured they were low/out of ice, but the table next to me got a huge cup of ice with their soda. Again, too cheap to give people ice cubes in their water. (I understand water is free, but when you drop $100 on sushi a few cubes of ice should not matter.) Also, they only gave us two sets of chopsticks for four people - really? Finally, and this was the least of the problems, the food took 40 minutes. Since she came over and told us about the wait I am not so angry about this one. However, the reason was "Door Dashers", which bothers me since, in my opinion, they should always put customers that are in the building ahead of online orders. Plus, we were there at 5:15 and they opened at 5:00, so perhaps the sushi cooks should start doing Door Dash orders at 4:30 so they can get through the backlog before they open to the public. The quality of the sushi was just OK. With the heat of the building, I was greatly worried that the fish would not taste fresh, and it didn't - but I have had worse. I just wish business owners would understand that losing just one customer is so much more costly than a few ice cubes, chopsticks or running the AC on a hot night. read more

It just sounds appealing. Pretty pricey 2 pieces $12.95 market value. Took a bite into it, pretty generously sized pieces. It's super fall apart and tender and melt in your mouth like butter. I ordered the Dinner Sashimi Assortment (14 pieces - $17.95), a bowl of steamed rice ($1.95), hot tea and ice water w/ lemon (on the house). The Sashimi was beautifully presented. The Salmon, Red Tuna, Hamachi... I SWEAR THEY WERE PREVIOUSLY FROZEN?! They were TASTELESS, CHEWY and DRY :( Thank goodness for lots of lemon and wasabi.... The White Tuna was fresh, buttery and delicious (they only gave me 2); 2 out of the 14 makes me SAD :*( They probably should've just served me all previously frozen fish, the difference was unmistakable!!! I received my bill and I was overcharged for the Sashimi Dinner. It costs me $24.04 (with tax). I just paid it and gave them a small tip for the excellent water service. My coworkers and I went to Senro Sushi for lunch today. There was no wait and we got seated immediately. We ordered four rolls to share: Rainbow Roll 49er Roll Daredevil Roll Shelby Roll Garlic Edamame Out of the four rolls we had, the exceptional one was the daredevil roll, usually being a super fan of dragon rolls and eel in particular, this roll has eel, in a combination of the soft shell crab and the crunchiness, which was a-mazingggg. The other rolls were pretty mediocre just like some of the other reviews had stated. The garlic edamame was just a little too salty to my liking. It's not a bad place to grab some quick sushi lunch but the overall experience here was average for me. read more

The picture on the right is the sake don I ordered from Senro Sushi and the picture on the left is the sake don I ordered from a rival sushi restaurant in Livermore (Tommy Katsu). Aside from completely outclassed presentation, the salmon from Senro Sushi fell apart as I tried to pick it up with my chopsticks and was stringy. The quality of the fish reminded me of the raw smoked salmon packs you buy in the store where the salmon is meant to pull apart for salmon and lochs. It also had a weird coloring to it... seemed dyed, previously frozen, and not fresh. I ended up getting a refund from Doordash and just ordered from Tommy Katsu instead. read more

And right across from the dairy so I usually grab an ice cream cone after. *Wink* This is the first place I got sushi after moving up north from San Diego, and it's become a staple for me. This place is always buzzing. I have never waited very long for a table, and the service is consistent. I believe this place is family-owned. I tend to grab a bento box and a spicy tuna roll - I don't do too much "actual" sushi because raw fish doesn't sit well with my stomach - but my friends and family say it's good here! Chicken katsu is my go-to and it always delivers, their miso soup here is great, and the dressing on the salad is bomb too. Price is a bit higher than I'm used to, but it seems to be the norm in NorCal. This is a great place to stop by for a quick lunch! I would totally recommend it. read more

And so found this place on Yelp...and so glad I did. It was perfect and the food was delicious...I had maguro and a walnut prawn roll...and a friend had the bento box, she loved her food and I loved mine! I'm have given this place a few chances but Everytime I have gone it has made me sick. The fish on the rolls and are slimy and often fishy tasty which mean it is not fresh. It's extremely disappointing since the Senro in san Ramon is so good but I don't recommend coming here. I sure their other food is decent but their fish seems to never be fresh. read more
