A nice little spot that took over what was previously a Taiwanese cafe style restaurant from some years back. CA Noodle is as advertised, they are a beef noodle soup focused spot. The menu itself isn't extensive, but mostly just noodle focused based, with some of the variations of what the base and meats are, and of course the cold dishes that typically comes with a beef noodle eating experience. Price wise, it's not cheap, but for beef noodle places there's not too many of those places around, and if they are around they're usually not that great. The place isn't huge, but there are a fair number of tables in there all closeish together. Again, not a large place, so mostly smaller tables, but can certainly be pieced together for larger parties. Service here was good, no issues. Let's talk food! The cold dishes were good. Nothing out of the ordinary, but one thing that is good even though the cost of them are a bit high is that the quantity they give you is at least a decent amount. If you like the cold dishes, you will get plenty with each order. Now to the noodles. We got a chow mein style noodles and then of course the beef noodle soup. The chow mein noodles were not bad, but wasn't out of the ordinary. It was tasty and I would be happy to eat it again. The beef noodle soup was definitely tasty. The noodles here, in both the chow mein and in the noodle soup were nice quality and texture, just the right QQness to them. The beef in the beef noodle soup is where most restaurants tend to struggle with, particularly the chain dumpling places that offers beef noodle soup and when it arrives, they're just the beef slices from the appetizer dish. Not here, these were actual chunks of beef that have been cooked for awhile and actually stewed. They were good and plentiful in this soup. All-in-all, CA Noodles is a good option for some good beef noodles if you're ever in the mood. Tried this place a couple weeks ago since we were already near the outlets. Fast service, no wait, and we order from our phones. We ordered beef noodle soup, and spicy pork dry noodle, or something like that (don't have the menu up now). We both got the wide flat noodles, which I loved! Very chewy and bouncy. The beef noodle soup was solid, no complaints there. Would def get it again. The spicy pork dry noodle had a bit too much mala and spice. The spice was very clumpy and changed the texture of the pork. I would have preferred if they had an option with beef (I know that's probably not traditional but I just don't love pork after a while lol). All in all I'd come back and try something else. I was wondering how tasty chow mein with those wide flat noodles would taste. I saw another review mentioning OK noodle, which we live near. Stopped by CA Noodle this past Friday over my girlfriend's craving for noodle soup and we wanted to try something new. Seeing CA Noodle show up on our yelp search and it was nearby, we decided to check it out. The location is pretty convenient, located in a plaza that shares parking spaces with several other restaurants and a McDonald's. The inside only seats about 10-14 parties of 2-4, so a pretty small restaurant. They had 2 waiters staffing the entire restaurant, but the menu and ordering system is all done through a POS via QR code. The menu was quite large, offering no many choices like pot stickers, noodle soups, chow mein, and little appetizers like pig ears. We ended up ordering the pig ears, pot stickers, pork pan fried bun, and 2 noodle soups. The good: pig ears. The pig ears were cut in various sizes and the flavor was spicy. Definitely to our liking! The neutral: the pork hamburger item and pot stickers. While the bun was tasty and crispy, the mean in between was a bit dry and the taste was a bit mild and less salty. We made it better by adding pig ears with every bite lol. The pot stickers were fine but it didn't really give a crispy bottom taste and more of dry pan sear. It definitely needed sauce as the filling was a bit mild too (very consistent mild tastings after the pig ears. The bad: the soup dishes that we ordered were definitely needing a flavor bomb. While the noodles we ordered were great and had a ton of chew and the protein in the dish was plenty; the soup lacked in taste. My girlfriend had to ask for additional salt to add to taste and it made it so much better. I ate mine as intended and I wasn't as satisfied as compared to if I were to eat at ox9 or muragame. Overall, I thought our meal was about a 3.5. While we enjoyed watching the World Cup while eating our food, the taste of our food was much more desired and it didn't scratch our itch for a rich soup. This place is so underrated. Tucked right beside a McDonald's and gas station you would never think you would get authentic noodle soup dishes. But they are delicious. Came here to meet up with a friend for lunch and had a very delicious meal. I got the spicy beef noodle soup - I've gotten this dish at other places before that also market it as being spicy but it never is. At CA Noodle, you get what you ask for - you can see the rich, red chili flakes and oil floating in the broth which adds a nice kick and great flavor to the freshly made noodles. I just wish there were more chunks of beef that were included - the dish is very carb heavy. We also shared a plate of the pig ear appetizer which is soaked in a rich chili oil. I've been dying to try this place. I kept hearing about the spicy short rib soup. I can totally see why people would love this, but this wasnt for me. The broth was oily and it was hard to enjoy the flavors. The short rib was so tender though. And I loved the bok choy. I ordered this online for pick up and I loveeeeed how they packaged the soup. It comes in a huge container but they separate the broth and noodles. Then when you get home you just dump the noddles in the bottom. Extra star for that! This is hands down my favorite noodle place! I usually get the Beef Tomato Noodle Soup but after seeing another customer eating the dry noodle version we had to give it a try. The beef is so tender and flavorful and the gravy that comes with the dry noodle is incredible. They are both very similar so if I had to choose one I'd probably choose the dry noodles. Definitely ask for the chili oil as it brings everything to the next level. The restaurant is small and clean and is usually busy but we never have trouble getting a table. Staff is nice and you order on your phone so there is not a lot of service but staff is still friendly. You can also request a physical menu if you prefer as well. This was booked marked at the recommended of a friend and finally tried it for dinner on a chilly night this week. I called ahead to see how the wait was and person said he'd try to hold the table. Arrived 30 min later and the restaurant was full. Waited less than 5 min before being seated. I noticed there were just chopsticks in the utensil caddy and a box of napkins to help ourselves with. Water soon came after. Scanned the QR code on the wall behind us. Chose all their popular items. Beef noodle soup, tomato egg beef noodles, potstickers with pork, and ofc XLB (bc you have to try it where ever you see it on the menu) Beef noodle soup was the 1st to come. Needed to ask for bowls as we wanted to share. No extra spoons were given as per usual. I immediately noticed how thick the oil was in the soup. Usually THAT much oil is skimmed out before serving. Not this place. Distributed 3 servings for everyone to try hoping that the oil was not sit wrong in my stomach. IYKYK. (Middle thick) Noodles were nice and chewy and al dente. The flavors of the soup was actually tasty sans the film that spread over my lips, needing napkins to constantly wipe before my next bite. There were some of pieces of beef that were tough while other pieces were nice and tender. It came with a few pieces of bok choy, was nice to help cut down the grease. 3/5 Next came the tomato egg beef noodles. Instead of beef flank it was the same beef brisket (shank?) as the beef noodle soup. That was a nice change. I was so excited to try it as this dish is usually my favorite at place like Noodle St in So Cal. Tomato was nice and tender and not mushy. Egg had lots of flavor. Same beef as the other noodle soup hit or miss of tender pieces. Then the thick noodles. Same chewy texture. This is where it all went wrong for me. The flavor. I tasted Five Spice. Then the mala oily sour spice. The film that lingers and sticks on your lips and tingles throughout the whole meal. The flavors didn't taste quite right. It's like they used the mala base and sweeten it. Personally, not my cup of tea. I couldn't even finish my portion. 2.5/5 Next came the potstickers and XLB Potstickers were essentially the regular size boiled dumplings, pan fried. They looked very promising however the taste for me missed the mark. Meat filling was too lean and the skin wasn't as tender and soft. 3/5 The XLB came out piping hot. The juice held up pretty well. The flavor wasn't bad but it also wasn't my favorite either. 3/5 Throughout this whole time we were trying to flag down the servers for extra spoons and plates to eat our dumplings. We were only able to get extra spoons which weren't the cleanliness with still an oily film lingering. We basically just hand cupped each mouthful of dumpling to prevent the juices from dripping onto the table. No preset table settings. And the utensil was empty besides the chopsticks. By this point there a line forming out the door. I needed to get rid of this sour spicy taste that needed some Dawn soap to cut the grease off. Overall, aside from the thick cut noodles, everything else was just okay. There were these girls sitting at the next table who ordered beef chow mein. This place used to be a Taiwanese restaurant years ago. I was not too thrilled about it despite my love for Taiwanese food... I do not know when did they change hand. We selected the wide flat noodles, and it was very tasty. It was not as spicy as I have expected, but with a nice kick. Would be better if a bit more vegetables. The pig ears appetizer was great. Many restaurants will have fillers in there like they will have a thin layers of the protein on top and whole bunch of shredded cucumber in the bottom. This place the entire plate was full of pig years. I really really enjoyed it. The potstickers filling was pork, shrimp, and leeks. The size of each potstickers was on the small side, but tasty. Today was the day! I was craving something warm during the cold weather we have been having. I've been telling myself for a while now that I needed to try CA Noodle because I pass by pretty often when my son goes to gymnastics down the street. The service was fast once I found out you order using the QR code at the table, and the food came out quickly. I got the - Braised beef soup regular noodles($16.80) Fungus salad($7.99) Qianmai Roujiamo($7.99) Spicy Oil Dry Noodle with Pork medium wide noodles($16.30) The braised beef noodle broth was really flavorful and the noodles had a nice chewy texture. I did end up adding some chili oil, which gave it a little extra kick. The fungus salad was nice and refreshing to go with the hot soup. It definitely helped with the heat since the broth stayed hot for what felt like forever, which is a good thing. My husband got the spicy dry noodles with pork and said it was good and enjoyed the heat from the chili. The Qianmai Roujiamo reminded me of a banh mi like flavor mixed with a pulled pork texture. It tasted good, but it's probably not something I would order again. I would go back again for the braised beef noodle soup and maybe try the cucumbers next time, unless I'm craving the fungus salad. We had tried CA noodle for the first time last week and had a mixed thoughts on the food. The restaurant itself is small and quaint. No frill but kept clean. The soup was a clear and light broth with pickled greens mixed in. The noodles were fresh and perfectly chewy or (aka QQ). The fish was delicious and cooked well and not over done. Overall 5/5 for this noodle soup. Second item we got was the dry chicken noodle with flat noodles. We were not a fan of this at all. The noodles were drenched in sauce and was almost inedible and salty. The chicken pieces were quite dry and hard. The sauce had a bit of Mala or numbing flavor is to it which wasn't pleasant to the palate at all. This dish would need to be a 1/5 for me. Never again will we order any of the dry noodle dishes. Hoping to come back to try some of their other noodles and possibly try to reevaluate based on other dishes. The place is in a strip behind a gas station. It's not a very big place but it gets pretty busy. We came for Thursday dinner and all tables were filled. The person who works there doesn't speak any English it seems like. He tries but couldn't really answer our questions . Spicy beef noodle is really really good. It's not too spicy. The best part other than the melt in your mouth beef is the noodle. I picked regular noodle and it was nice and bouncy. Not overcooked. The leftover bowl has a "shelf" to separate the noodles from the broth. Which is great if you order to go. However, leftovers aren't too great because the noodle does get pretty mushy. So eat it there for the best texture. Oh the price on the online ordering system is different than the physical menu. Started out very ambivalent but this is now one of my favorite restaurants and a comfort food for me. I love the soup noodles, particularly the beef and spicy beef noodles. The beef chunks are so tender and soup is so flavorful. Not so much the chili oil noodles, the spicy level is never consistent and flavor is just okay. Noodle quality is excellent across the dishes. Sit down, order on the QR code, dishes come out quickly, eat, pay at the front. Don't wear a white shirt unless you're okay with chili oil and soup stains. read more

This is a cozy spot I always love to go to with family and friends. I grew up always getting the liang pi and the braised beef noodle soup. My family also came for a lot of birthdays also since the noodles are soooo long. I came back recently with my boyfriend and he loved it as well!!
