I found this place on Yelp and wanted to try it for Father's Day. This spot is cute but on the smaller side. I knew I wanted brunch, so I ordered the bottomless mimosas right away! I love that their brunch has complimentary mini pancakes for kids. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffles were spectacular but the chicken could have been seasoned more. This Thai restaurant is located in the heart of downtown. There were plenty of parking. We decided to order take out. We ordered two orders of their popular Time Thai Fried Chicken, Pad Thai With Chicken, and the Pineapple Fried Rice With Pork. Our order was ready in about 20 minutes. The Time Thai Fried Chicken were crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. It came with sweet chili sauce. We didn't really use the sauce because the fried chicken itself was flavorful enough. However, it would have been nice if they trimmed off some of the chicken fat. The sauce for the Pad Thai was kind of sweet and had a little tang to it. The positives: We ordered the Green Curry with chicken, and the Pad Thai Fried Chicken. The pad Thai tasted fantastic and the chicken was incredibly crispy while being very tender. I loved the pad Thai fried chicken. For the green curry, most of the green curry tasted great with that savory and spicy balance that green curry normally has. The negatives: the potatoes in the green curry didn't seem cooked entirely. The two dishes were delivered to the table at totally different times. It made it so that my friend finished his food and then after he finished I began eating my pad thai. Because of these two doubles negatives I am lowering the rating by 2 stars. Would I try this place again? Yes, but I would specifically seek out a time when the place has lower traffic than Saturday evenings. I will say the place was quite lively. Horrible service. We were served by an older male server with glasses. We were not greeted when we walked in and he just told us to sit at a table. We had a toddler and he did not even bother to ask if we needed a high chair. Once he took our order, he just grabbed the menus from our hands without saying anything. During the meal, he did not check in with us once. When we paid our bill, he did not say thank you. While he was cleaning the table, he took our toddlers fork from our self-brought utensils. When I asked him for it, he found it from the dirty dish rack and gave it to me, without apologizing at all. The woman who sat next to us walked over to him and asked for to-go boxes. He was super rude and told her to sit down at the table. Every time when a customer waved at him, he asked the customer to wait for a minute, even though he had nothing to serve. He would never come to you the first time. He would just walk to an empty table and put dish or walk back to kitchen. This kind of service is absolutely unacceptable and I would never come back again. Aside from the horrible service, the food was not good comparing to previous visits (before the restaurant was expanded). We ordered 3 items: Shrimp pad see ew: the shrimp had no taste and overall the dish was very bland and lack of flavor. Garlic Beef: the beef had a weird texture and the sauce was very watery. One of our favorite Thai spots in the Easy Bay area. Like many others, their Thai fried chicken is probably the best item on the menu! We had their pad thai, roti, papaya salad, and ka pow. All delicious with friendly portions as well. Garlic half cloves adds another layer of flava. 7 Fried chicken boneless pieces obviously marinated with herb & spices. Skin on thigh meat was consistently moist, tender, juicy. We needed lunch and we had the dog with us. So, either someplace that had outdoor seating that allowed dogs or else food to go, and we'd have to find a park. We found Time Thai on yelp, and it looked promising. We arrived toward the end of lunch and managed to snag a parking spot at the side of the restaurant across from the railroad tracks. There's outdoor seating on either side of the front door. One side was closed either for remodeling or because the sign was convenient. We went straight to the outdoor seating. There was a two-top and a four-top. We took the two top to ensure we had enough room for our food. Neither of us got a look inside the restaurant as a server came out, asked us how many and handed up menus. Ice water and set-ups were brought out. We had brought a bowl with us and poured in some ice water for the dog. I'm a huge fan of Roti with Yellow Curry. The reviews say nice things about the Fried Chicken so we knew we had to try that. Lastly, I wanted something with curry and veg. Roti w/ House Curry Sauce - 5 - Seemed like a smaller portion than we're used to, but the flavors and textures were spot on. There is nothing I would change about this dish, but I do wish I had thought to ask if they could make it with an egg turning it into Roti Telur. Coco Prawn w/ Brown Rice - 5 - All the flavors were excellent. The brown rice was the perfect accompaniment to the curry sauce. I ate all the rice served at the restaurant, but we also had brown rice already cooked at home and the leftovers went well with it. The prawns were nicely cleaned and cooked perfectly. Khao Yum Gai Zapp - 5 - had knock your socks off flavor! The only thing I may have changed was ordering Brown Rice instead of the rice that came with it. The food came out fairly quickly. Our server came and checked on us several times, making sure that we had enough water. This restaurant definitely earned a return visit. I've been here quite a few times, and their flavors are always consistent and fresh. Even when I grab my order to go, it tastes just as good as if I had dined in. This place is in a nice plaza with a parking lot in downtown Pleasanton. It's cozy and perfect for smaller groups. I've been wanting to try the dinner at the Pleasanton location after going to Time Thai Kitchen in Livermore for brunch. We got seated after a short wait on a busy Sunday night. We started off with the Time Thai Kitchen Fried chicken, Fried Calamari, and Roti for appetizers. The fried chicken was moist and crispy, but a tad sweeter than what we prefer. It is very consistent though and tasted exactly like the fried chicken we had from their Livermore brunch. The fried calamari was light and crispy, we really liked it. The roti was crispy and flaky. I would order the last two again. For entrees we ordered the garlic prawns, yellow curry, pad see ew, and pad thai fried chicken. The broccoli with the garlic prawns was perfectly tender, but the garlic prawns were a bit small. The yellow curry was a hit and the flavors were really bright. We thought both the pad see ew and the pad thai fried chicken was also a bit on the sweeter side. They were good, but hard to finish in one sitting due to the heaviness of the sweet sauce. Overall, we enjoyed the meal but probably won't come back very soon as the flavors don't quite align with our palettes. I think I preferred the brunch in Livermore and the sweetness of the dishes more aligned with what I anticipate at brunch compared to dinner. I did like the thai iced tea and would get it again if I came back. Overall, service was nice, but with how busy it was it was difficult to get their attention at times. This used to be my top Thai spot in Tri Valley. I ordered beef noodle soup, duck with red curry and crab fried rice. The quality and taste definitely went down hill. The beef noodle soup beef briskets were dried and chewy, I can also taste it was burned. Duck meat with the red curry used to be their signature as they smoked the duck meat, but now tasted very bland, no smoke flavor and over cooked. Crab fried rice definitely have significantly reduced crab meat this time. I wonder if they have changed chef? read more

For the 2 of us we ordered the som tum set with fried chicken and spicy basil fried rice with pork - Thai hot. The server double checked if we really wanted that level of hotness. Yes we like it hot. The Som Tum was tasty and very citrusy and the chicken was juicy. The sticky rice that came with the set was unfortunately dry. The spicy basil fried rice had enough kick, but we like it hot, so we asked for the condiments to add more chili to it. It was sweet as with most of Thai dishes. We didn't order any drink as most Thai drinks tend to be too sweet for us. But we noticed they have happy hour? Might try next time. The service was okay. Our recent lunch at Time Thai was a serendipity. When ordering Thai, we usually don't try new dishes but stick to the tried and true: that means Pad Thai, Panang Curry, and one appetizer. The Pad Thai was perfect: steaming, sticky and sweet. The Panang had a very good consistency: not too watery, gravy-like with bold flavor. We ordered medium spicy and the heat was just right. Some of the best Thai food I've ever had in the Bay Area.... The Khao Soi was my favorite, as it was a generous portion size and the soup, noodles, and veggies in it were so flavorful and complimented each other so well. The fried chicken was their specialty so I got a portion for the table and its texture and flavor were amazing. The pad see ew spice was incorporated with the noodles in a way I have never tasted before and it had just the right amount of kick to it (my server didn't ask to specify a spice level, so not sure what it was).
