Cajun Garlic Shrimp Roll (2 Pcs)
    Rachel L.

Soooo good! Some of the freshest seafood I've had in seafood boil. I tried king crab, soft shell crab, dungeoness crab, shrimp, mussel, and clams in the ferry hot lemon crab flavor. Firstly, the sauce was super flavorful and a perfect consistency. Ferry hot packs a kick without being overly hot. None of the seafood was overcooked at all. The clams were so plump and juicy! Also tried the cajun shrimp roll which was super buttery and yum. Garlic noodles and garlic fries were solid not complaints. Got a side of garlic veggies as well as their passionfruit drink which were both refreshing. Great service. It's a small little spot with only a few tables, but a lot of people do take out. Very hole in the wall vibe. Definitely wanna be back!

First time here after reading the rave reviews. I ordered the lunch special to go - it didn't feel like I saved any money but the meal was great. It's available on weekdays only from 12pm to 2pm. They have their own little parking lot and entrance is inside once you turn in from the main street. Cajun Shrimp Rice Plate Lunch Special ($13.95 + $3.00 for fried rice) - Very well balanced meal! The egg roll and fried was a big plus. They are generous with their shrimp and the sauce is delicious. Would go back to try their garlic noodles.

Nestled in Hayward I really wanted to love this place. Seafood, lobster rolls and crab. Maybe I should have ordered a seafood boil but I went with the garlic shrimp roll and clam chowder. My son got the calamari. Garlic shrimp wasn't bad very large portion for the price I suggest sharing it's large enough. Clam chowder unfortunately tasted like whoever was cooking it dropped a cigarette in the pot. Absolutely not edible. My son's calamari tasted like mozzarella sticks not bad but not on the reorder list. Passion fruit lemonade was refreshing and good. I think I'll try the seafood boil next time but for the items I tried they were disappointing. Friendly service, quick and clean. Update : I understand that the smoke flavor in the clam chowder is from smoked oysters - it is still overpowering and takes from the flavor of the chowder it was still not palatable. But that's my opinion others may like it.

I really wanted to like this place but it was just okay. Not bad but just alright. My friend and I went to explore Hayward randomly on a Saturday. It was on one of our places to check out after seeing an influencer go here. It's a small restaurant with limited seating outside but plenty of parking outside. We got clam chowder, white rice, and combo #1 with shrimp head on, crawfish, and clams (extra $2) with lemon crab medium spicy sauce. Service was just okay. It was hard to flag them down even though it's not a big space. The clam chowder wasn't very hot. It was cool at the top and a bit warm at the bottom. The white rice just wasn't soft at all :/ The combo was alright. No complaints on the quality of the seafood.

Tiny place had like 9 tables only, but it was good enough. Service was pretty quick. The food was good. Prices very on point with other seafood boil restaurants. The garlic fries I wasn't really impressed though. They tasted like jack n the box curly fries. The seasoning on the boil was good. Better than lots of other places. If in the area is a good eat but myself I wouldn't drive all the way out there like I would for other seafood boils.

This place was pretty good. We had the Combo #3 (snow crab legs, clams, mussels, & crawfish) mild, 3 flavor mix. The fried Dungeness crab was good. Fried calamari was alright. Garlic noodles was 3/5. Overall not bad.

We dropped in Saturday around 6:40pm and it wasn't busy. The sauce is on watery side. But the taste isn't quite like clawshack and crawdaddy, which are my favorite places. But it's passable if I'm craving seafood boil near my home. We ordered the #3 combo. Added on the clams for $2 and they are big here. The seafood isn't cooked with the sauce since the sauce isn't inside the crawfish and shrimp. Seems like they cook seafood and sauce separately. The crab was missing the sweet, fresh taste. The crab fried rice was good. Crawfish is in season. Only a restroom. Tip: Bring your own gloves . The thin plastic gloves sucks and rip right away.

Hubby and I haven't had Cajun seafood for a while and decided to order some. We looked around and saw that Lemon Crab was right near us! We usually go to Hang Ten, but they closed down the one that was at Southland. I looked around and found Lemon Crab. They had everything we were looking for and it was super close by! I ended up ordering online through Yelp and it was a very smooth process. When we got there to pick up our order, the staff were super friendly. We told them that we had an online order to pick up and it was already waiting for us. Everything was sooo amazing! The flavors were delicious and it was not bland or too salty. Everything paired so well with rice and we just couldn't get enough. We definitely will be ordering again from here! Amazing place and looking forward to trying out stuff on the menu.

To say the food was delicious is an understatement. The seasoning on the crab boil was spot on it was thick almost like a gravy really paired well with all of the components in the bag. We also had the garlic noodles with chicken and that is enough to be a meal unto itself. The noodles were delicious and is a must order. I also had the fish poor boy and it a robust sandwich that could easily be shared with two people. The service was very attentive and friendly and made you feel welcome. This is a hidden gem in Hayward and you will be happy that you found it. While the restaurant is not very big it is clean and comfortable and I liked the music selection they were playing and I am looking forward to coming back here soon.

Went here around 2ish pm on a Thursday, pretty small place, limited tables so I imagine there would be quite a wait if it was during peak hours, but there was nobody when I came, plenty of parking when you turn in the lot, but I could see how filled it could be. We got sat and the menus are already on the table, I got a Pacifico, garlic noodles, and a seafood combo #1 with clams, mussels, and shrimp with head on. The garlic noodles are super delicious, not overly garlicky. The seafood combo is enough to share with somebody else. Very plentiful and only $49.95 (excluding tax), which is a great deal if you're planning on sharing with somebody.

Small little hidden shack that actually does a decent job with the spicy seafood in a bag concept. The place does look nicer than when it used to be a Filipino resto years ago. They only have less than 10 tables, so this isn't a big place. I wouldn't take more than 4 peeps here. But for locals, take-out is a viable option as the seafood in the bag is sealed pretty tight and stays warm and juicy. Combo #2 ($99ish after tax/4*) This is one of their bigger combos, it fed 4 of us with a bit of leftovers. So not cheap, but seafood is rarely cheap, especially these days. But this combo has a pound of crab legs, choice of snow or dungeness. I chose the later and I felt there were a nice amount in there, some loose legs and even about 2-3 clusters of legs + body. It felt like the crab was frozen at some point as I can just tell by the texture. But it is so soaked into the spicy butter sauce that everything absorbs quite nicely. You get to choose also a pound each from their other choices and I got head-on shrimps and clams. The shrimps were also a bit too mushy for me, as I love firm textured shrimps that pop when bitten into. But again it is so soaked into that sauce that everything was still quite tasty. The clams were small manilas. All of them fresh and tasty, not a bad one in the bunch. And when these open up, that same sauce is inside each clam and the bites are so harmonious. Spicy, briny, buttery, chewy, loved it. I didn't really scope their sauce flavors/options, I just said 'cajun' over the phone in a 'medium' heat level. And even though the cajun flavor was there, it tasted like a mashup of Cajun and Sichuan. Maybe some asian spices got thrown in, maybe even some sichuan peppercorns as the heat here kinda had a numbing heat. I've never had that before from a seafood boil, but it kinda works as my mouth was zinging in a good way. There were also some big red potato chunks that were satisfying, some corn cobs and some sliced pork sausage that were just meh to me. I also felt they could have added some lemon slices into the bag during the cook as it would have added a nice citrus background that always wants to be with seafood. They do give fresh lemon slices on the side, but just felt it would have been more impactful being in the cook. Just a preference. I wouldn't mind in trying a few more items from their menu, and/or try another sauce flavor like lemon pepper. They have some fried items, seafood sandwiches, crab fried rice and garlic noodles. All sound promising. To that I'd gladly give them another whirl. Round 2 to come. *ding ding*

We ordered the Garlic noodles, clam chowder, fried calamari with fries and combo #3 with crab legs, crawfish, and clams. I didn't try the clam chowder but from what I heard it seemed a little over salted.. The fried calamari though was quite delicious and was nice to dip with the sauce that the crab combo came out with. The garlic noodles were small but very flavorful and quite delicious. We didn't get a fork though, but we were all dressed up for the seafood boil in bibs and gloves though so that one is understandable! The flavor of the crabs and combo assortment was very well seasoned. Although the shrimp tasted a bit frozen, the flavor of the boil was great and I enjoyed the corn and potatoes it came with. It was a lot of food but also a little on the pricey side for me. It is definitely enjoyable though on on occasion. Side note: I tried to use the bathroom when we first arrived but the toilet was clogged. They were quite busy at the time, but I told the service staff about it and went again at the end of the meal and they serviced it quite quickly, which was a plus. I also highly recommend preparing by bringing some hair ties, things will get messy!

Seen on social media they have lobster rolls, and I love lobster rolls and a plus they give you not one but two lobster rolls. So much bang for your buck, I had garlic curly fries as my side. My daughter ordered a seafood bag and added corn and potatoes. The food was so good, we really enjoyed our lunch. The restaurant is cozy and welcoming. Tiffany was our host for the day and she was amazing. She welcomed us and seated us right away and was great accommodating some of our requests. The vibe was chill and great energy . I will definitely be back.

I love the New Orleans food scene and therefore had a pretty high bar for Cajun food outside of Louisiana. I came in a little hesitant because I've been disappointed too many times by the options we have in the bay for Cajun food. But after I opened the box and took my first bite of that blackened shrimp Po Boy I could've sworn I thought I was sitting in the French Quarter again. The nice young lady that took my order recommended the blackened shrimp as an underrated choice on the po boys so I had to try it out. I came stuffed with a Red wine coleslaw, tomatoes, pickle slices and a drizzle of their special sauce (that I can only describe as spicy cajun mayo). 12/10 and I'm not exaggerating I also had a side (and when I say side take it with a grain of salt cause this feeds like 3 people for being a side) of the fresh Crab fries. Not overdone with the ingredients yet what a powerful hit of flavor, the Cajun seasoning usually comes out a bit salty on fries but these guys figured out how to balance it with the fresh shredded crab on top, garnished off with some green onion and more special sauce, this thing made me look around the room to see if anyone else was reacting like this over the food. (And they were! People were sitting there talking about "last time I tried ___ and ___ and it was fire") In the end I saw a guy that looked very proud to be there and was helping around the place while running back to his computer, that was Brett, the owner. I had to go and shake the man's hand and pick his mind a bit. He's a born and raised in New Orleans guy and you could tell by his kindness and southern hospitality. (Dude gave me a delicious carrot cake to go) Unfortunately in the end I had to walk back out into the reminder that I was in Castro valley and not New Orleans but for minute I was able to remember everything that had previously experienced from my trips there and that's what a great meal should do for you. His city should be proud of what he created here. I will absolutely be back to work my way through the full menu and add more pics to this review.

The restaurant itself is not too big with several tables outside and on the right inside. Since it's a hot day, it was difficult to sit outside. It's an open kitchen concept so you can kind of see your food being prepared. Ordering food was easy and took about 10 minutes for the food to be ready. I ordered the catfish with oysters and Cajun fries. The fish tasted fishy but the oysters were good, even though kind of small. Some of the fries tasted hot and fresh while others were kind of cold. I assumed the were mixed together. One thing I didn't like is the faucet in the bathroom that would not turn off. It's very wasting of water. When I asked the employee, I was told that it would eventually turn off. However I went in there twice to check and both times it was still on.

The catfish and fries were the only things worth eating -- crispy and actually good. Everything else? Low tier. The calamari was unevenly fried, the prawns were forgettable, and the oysters were the worst part. Instead of whole deep‑fried oysters, they gave us several oysters that had been chopped into halves and even quarters, turning into little oyster nuggets -- and those nuggets were fried way too hard, so you don't even get the real oyster experience. I've never seen anyone cut oysters like that. Overall, the food gets a C from me. I'm curious about their crab boil, but not curious enough to waste my money and risk another letdown. If you want good deep‑fried seafood, skip this place and find somewhere that actually knows what they're doing. Cashier was pleasant ambiance was nice.

But even if I were to pay for myself, I thought the value (for lunch anyway) was very good. This is so much better than the Chinese buffets on my side of the East Bay which encompasses the far east side of Contra Costa County. For one, sashimi being offered as part of the lunch spread is very welcome. Would've been nice if they were a little thicker but it's all you can eat so it's not a huge deal. I like that there was a nice selection of bottled drinks included with the meal and not just the typical fountain. That's rare for me to see. I LOVED the build your own malatang station. I've found that it's starting to be a popular thing with some buffets lately but this is the first time I've had one at a reasonably priced buffet. I love having malatang that I don't have to be conscious of the price by the pound for a change. Desserts were probably the weakest part of the buffet. The ice cream especially was rock hard. Not a huge fan of the tiny ice cream cups that are provided. I much prefer having the option to self scoop ice cream, especially if there's more flavors than just vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and my picky family also liked it so that's pretty high praise. I hope we can come back here for our next birthday.

I felt like the food quality is a lot better here than other buffets. I've tried there were sashimi slices (tuna, tilapia, salmon lemon) which I was surprised about and I loved. I kept going back for those. They were sushi rolls, crab leg. mussels, oysters, shrimps Cajun fish a lot of seafood and for the meat there were dim sum chicken feet and spareribs and chicken wings, cooked salmon, etc. For the veggies. there were eggplants mushrooms, green beans, Chinese veggies, wood ear and they were really good. There was a steak section where you could ask for a slice of steak to be grilled for you there was a mala tang section. and where you can pay $4 extra for a lobster tail. I feel like the presentation here is better than other buffet places. I especially love the black custard bun with the gold stripe on it. The inside was so melted and gooey. It was perfect. The dessert selection isn't too big here so I didn't really get any. There was a chocolate fountain that you could dip strawberries in. The dinner price was around $46 for the weekend which I went to.
