The hospitality was fine but food was underwhelming. The menu seemed promising but it didn't exceed expectations. We ordered a Brisket Pho and a Dino-Rib Pho and even upgraded to the milk broth after the server told us it was their signature and only offered on the weekends. The dino rib meat was dry and didn't look freshly cooked. We also ordered a Lomo Saltado which I went against my better judgement to order in a restaurant that specializes more on Vietnamese food. Honestly it tasted more like a Shaking Beef dish. The sauce was on the sweeter side, the meat had zero seasoning and it was a bit chewy. I ended up spitting some of the pieces out. The Cajun Garlic Butter Noodles with Ribeye had pretty good flavored noodles. However, the Ribeye was also lacking in flavor and a bit chewy. The only thing that was good was the Shrimp Toast. It was actually the first item from our order that came out and was really good. It was also served fresh and hot. It led us to believe everything else was going to be just as good. Aside from the food taste and textures being mediocre, perhaps the most disappointing was the temperature. Other than the shrimp toast, everything came out lukewarm. It really emphasized the lackluster experience. At one point, we also saw someone come out of the kitchen and throw something in the microwave. Hopefully just something needed for the kitchen and not someone's meal, but at this point I wouldn't be surprised. I realIze the cost of everything is up these days. You can barely eat out for less than $20-$25 pp at a fast food restaurant now. But the pricing here definitely was not worth the value of the quality of the food. They had a sizzle reel playing in the restaurant about their story and how they grew from popups to their restaurant. Perhaps it's the transition that was causing the kinks and hopefully they will work it out as they go. I don't enjoy writing disappointed reviews, but I do owe honest ones from my POV. Three stars for the service, newness, hot and fresh shrimp toast.

I'm writing this because I was appalled by the way this management and staff treated our party during my friends' daughter's birthday celebration yesterday. SúperClub markets itself as a modern, trendy Vietnamese spot, but the environment felt incredibly unprofessional and, frankly, like we were being bullied. The space is tiny and felt shoddily put together. They had three young staff members who lacked any basic hospitality skills. Throughout the event, they gave us literal death stares and were talking about us in Vietnamese. When we tried to be polite and said thank you on the way out, they completely ignored us. It was an incredibly uncomfortable and hostile vibe for a family celebration. Management was a nightmare. Despite the restaurant being completely DEAD (only two other parties there the whole time), they hit my friends with exorbitant extra fees for going over the "allotted time" with no prior warning. Their excuse of "lost profit" was laughable since the place was empty. It felt like a transparent and heartless cash grab. While the the food was mediocre at best, the drinks were a huge miss--either sickeningly sweet or totally flavorless. The vibe was so toxic and high and mighty that it left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. This place acts like they're above their customers, but they've managed to alienate their local community right out of the gate. If you want to feel welcomed and respected, especially for a special occasion, go elsewhere in Hayward. UPDATE in response to owner's comments: It's unfortunate that management would rather double down on a dishonest narrative than admit their staff failed. While Louis T. is busy listing 'complimentary shrimp toasts' and orange slices, he's ignoring the actual reality of the service. You had one staff member assigned to clear plates and keep the place tidy--he failed miserably. Tables remained cluttered and messy. The 'present' team you're bragging about spent more time giving us death stares than actually maintaining the space. You claim no drink package was ordered as if we didn't spend money. Multiple people in our party purchased additional drinks, bringing you extra business, yet the 'complimentary' water and tea you mentioned were so diluted they were basically tasteless. And just because a host is forced to settle a bill at the end of an overwhelming and uncomfortable event doesn't mean they were satisfied. It means they wanted to escape a hostile environment as quickly as possible. Again, the restaurant was dead. Two parties in several hours is not a 'full' restaurant. Charging a family exorbitant fees in an empty building while the staff talks behind their backs is predatory behavior, plain and simple. You can claim you stand by your 'care and effort,' but you can't 'care' your way out of lying about how empty the restaurant was or how unprofessional the staff acted. We weren't just guests; we were paying customers who were treated like an inconvenience. The community deserves to know how you actually handle feedback."

SuperClub opened 2 months ago where Tea Villa once was. A mural painted on the main wall. flatscreen in corner shows a Dj spinning some hip hop tunes. Inside seating only. Street parking. Greeted soon after entering. Ordered at front counter. Food arrived in 6ish minutes. Table service available. Offerings (Modern & traditional Vietnamese food): Appetizers, salads, pho, modern pho, wok & grill, sides, drinks. Slurps: Hanoi style pho (19.85) modern -broth had sweet essence via rock sugar & onions. Bold beefiness from bones boiled for 48 hours. -black garlic oil, red onions. Cilantro, green onions elevated flava. -toppings: bean sprouts, basil. Fried donut, onions, fresh garlic slices, sriracha sauce. -slightly tender shaken beef pieces from shank with some gristle main protein. *not traditional Hanoi style pho. Modern twist done well. Excellent rendition. 5 stars: Worthy! Quality ingredients & technique. Quantiy: reasonable

My friends and I heard about SuperClub had opened in Hayward and wanted to try it out. I have been having their food at festivals throughout the Bay Area when they were vendors at the various events. I really enjoyed their food at the events and wanted to follow them on their next journey. My friends ordered the pho and I ordered the lomo saltado. In addition, we also shared the chicken wings, shrimp toast and some drinks. One of my friends who just moved from Vietnam to San Jose last year really enjoyed his pho and said it's one of the best he ever had. He told me that he cannot wait to come back to get the pho again. My lomo saltado was perfectly cooked and the fries were actually crispy even after 30 minutes of eating, the fries were still crispy and tasty! Great flavor and big portion too! I would totally get the lomo saltado again. My friends and I have had the chicken wings and shrimp toast at the festivals before, so having it at the restaurant brought back memories of those summer time vibes. Shrimp toast is my fave and they use open face bao buns and stuff it with the shrimp paste and deep fry it. Such great flavor and a great twist on shrimp toast. Every member of the staff was super friendly and wonderful. I can see them becoming more and more busier once word gets out about their top tier food and high quality service! Cannot wait to come back!

Milky broth with beef cooked in black garlic oil. House made spice is habanero level, the pickled garlic is a great touch.

Food 5 = Amazing pho, that milk broth and fresh made rice noodle is worth it, and i added the black garlic oil beef, which reminded me of almost ramen too! Also order the shrimp toast, wow! Got the lychee lemonade and their crazy good calamansi-thai-green tea were drinks! Service = 5, just two people, which is fone for slow laid back, but do not expect fast when busier, as they can hold 9 tables inside for 24 butts, and some outdoor shared patio that holds about 20. Ambiance = 4, clean and high ceilings, bench and tables, and tv on white walls with some flowers about. Will return!

Living within a couple hundred feet from the restaurant, I finally tried their Hanoi style pho (bold and beefy). I ordered the pho king which is their version of the dac biet. The soup itself was flavorful and clearly made with care, even as a takeout order. While I enjoyed the depth of the broth, the $32 price point feels a bit high for what's offered. Overall, it's a solid bowl of pho, but more of an occasional treat than a go to.

4.5/5 Delicious new little spot with bold fusion flavors and stellar execution. So fun to find this place on Yelp and give it a try! Strangely located at the bottom floor of a new condo complex, but there's good signage to help you find the place after you street park. We were warmly greeted and seated immediately, and offered a pleasant iced tea. The menu looked delicious, and glancing around we saw that the portion sizes were large. But being hungry and eager to try things, we still ordered 3 dishes for 2. - Pho King with milky broth (weekend special): delicious and rich, flavorful bone broth. The meat (meatballs, brisket, steak, and rib) were generously portioned and excellent quality. This was served with basil, bean sprouts, a small Chinese donut, and cute little containers of hot sauce and garlic slices. It's unusual to get a broth so balanced, herby, savory, but also light. - seafood cajun fried rice: actually does come with a whole fried soft shell crab on top as pictured! loved how chewy the rice was. It was a generous portion with a decent number of shrimps and calamari too - cajun garlic butter udon with ribeye steak: our favorite item. The steak was cooked a beautiful medium rare with a great outer sear and was so tender. The garlic butter udon is reminescent of rich garlic noodles but somehow not as heavy. The green sauce packed an additional punch and made it fairly spicy, but the fresh pickled red onion cut the richness and heat well The bathroom is shared in the building and a little tricky to find, behind multiple doors and through hallways. However, the place itself is modern looking and comfortable. We enjoyed the 90s-00s music videos playing from the TV :)

When I entered it looked like a cafeteria type restaurant. I was greeted and seated very kindly They explained the menu and we decided on two different phos. Order a milk broth pho and Hanoi style broth. I had no idea what to expect. Both were delicious with very rich flavors and rice noodles. Service is excellent. Adequate parking in the lot across the street market Paris Baguette.

This modern Vietnamese fusion restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Sohay apartments in Hayward. There's street parking in front and a private lot across the smaller street (not the Main Street) from Paris baguette next door. The service is super friendly and attentive. Pho: On the weekends they have a unique "milky broth" that you can choose for the pho and it's pretty good! And serving every day is the Hanoi pho which was super flavorful. They serve a Chinese donut that you can dip in the pho broth and also provide homemade sriracha sauce and pickled garlic. If you want things like hoisin sauce or limes you can just ask them. The beef tongue is thick and tender. The pho noodles are fresh and silky. Definitely the best pho in the East Bay! So glad I don't have to drive all the way to San Jose for pho now. Other food items: - the shrimp baos are really good, great texture. - the shaking beef Peruvian style is delicious! The fries are crispy, the fried egg's edges are also crispy, the roasted garlic pieces is a great touch, the beef is tender. Highly recommended. - the Cajun udon is good but boy it's pretty spicy and it's a creeper spice. It doesn't seem spicy on first bite but it builds. Drinks: - instead of plain water, they serve everyone complimentary pandan iced tea and it's very refreshing. - the Thai green tea (either with calamansi or condensed milk) is super unique and interesting and worth a try. - the lychee lemonade is a bit sour (from the lemons) and refreshing with lychee bits. This is a great addition to the area and definitely worth a try!

Ordered all 3 of the appetizers and they were all yummy! Don't think i ever had avocado with my spring rolls, but nonetheless, it was delicious... the dipping sauce is not your typical peanut sauce, not quite sure what it is but it paired well with the spring rolls. The shrimp toast was amazing! Shrimp paste stuffed in a bao, then deep fried, paired with an aioli with a hint of cilantro and mint (i think), which paired well with toast. The fried wings were sweet, savory, spicy and slight tangy...came out hot and crispy, sauce was not too overwhelming. we ordered the ribeye with cajun udon, not too bad...ribeye was on the slimmer side, but the udon made up for it...it was garlicky and packed with the spicy cajun flavor, kind of like a combination of garlic noodle with the cajun spices, very flavorful. Will have to come back and try their noodle soups.

How did I not know you existed? This Viet-Peruvian fusion restaurant is amazingly delicious! My wife and I enjoyed the seafood fried rice and lomo saltado. We have to try all their menu in the next few weeks.

We started with the shrimp toast, a fried mantou filled with shrimp paste and served with a side of wasabi sauce. The shrimp paste was a little dry, but the flavor was good. Next, we ordered the Cajun seafood fried rice. The presentation looked great, but it lacked flavor and very bland. It needed a little salt/soy or something and did not taste any Cajun seasoning at all. We also tried the rib-eye Cajun garlic butter udon. The rib-eye was tender and the garlic flavor definitely came through, but the Cajun seasoning was on the lighter side. The udon noodles were not cooked evenly, as some were still a bit hard.

The ice tea they serve is a specialty from Vietnam and is really good. The macaroons looking dish has a greenish tint a mix of wasabi and mayo. The milky pho and beef special is a must try. It has rich thick soup similar to ramen but pho. The meat is super soft no bean sauce needed.

The portions are great, and we left with to-go boxes. Really enjoyed the equator coffee as well. We will be back, and look forward to trying the homemade corned beef. Thank you East Bay Cafe Depot! So glad you are part of the Fremont Community.

Indoor and outdoor seating both available. Came by for a Saturday lunch and they said the food will take ~45 mins. They were very grateful for our patience and even threw in a plate of sweet pork longanisa on the house for the wait! We shared the pork adobo island d-lite and the Hawaiian char siu chicken burrito. I really enjoyed the pork adobo, it had melt in mouth texture and great flavorful and went really well with the garlic rice. The Hawaiian char siu chicken burrito was good too but I liked the pork adobo plate more. The service was wonderful and they really make you feel at home. Very kind folks, definitely come support them!

My husband's go to is lechon kawali. Perfectly deep fried pork served with the classic Filipino "all purpose sauce". I usually steal one or two pieces off his plate but the serving is a healthy size I could never finish one by myself. My personal fave is beef sinigang. There's a a generous amount of meat and it's always so tender. I would love if they made it a little more sour but that's my personal preference. The protein might be different depending on the day but they've all been good. The place is tiny, maybe like 10 chairs so you might have to wait at prime times. Service is friendly. A couple times they've told me to pick up to go orders at a certain time but I had to wait an additional 15-20min after arriving but not too big of a deal.

We waited about 15 mins to be seated. We ordered while we waited so as soon as we sat down the food was ready, yayyy! They were able to accommodate my 10month old and the high chair was perfect for his size. The place is super tiny so they don't allow strollers inside, and there's also no restroom. Now onto the food. The tosilog was sooo good! The meat was seasoned and grilled perfectly. The java rice is okay, I wish they have garlic rice as an option. Hubby got the longanisa and it was good too. Portions are huge. Service was good even though they had a full house. They're not on DoorDash which is a bummer. We would definitely come back again but not during rush hour.
