Eggs Benedict

Cute little spot with both indoor and outdoor seating. We grabbed seats at the counter, and our food came out pretty quickly after ordering. I always go for the eggs Benedict, it didn't disappoint. The hollandaise was solid. I'd definitely come back.

I haven't been to Amy's Grill & Cafe since I hung out with family friends several years ago. I got kinda lost looking for it when it's sitting in the middle of the shopping center. The place is really small though. I saw a family that had to sit in a small table, but thankfully they moved to a larger one since customers from that table left. They do have a patio but it's cold outside. Obviously no one wants to sit outside. It's also nice that almost every table has condiments for us to use. The food is good though. The syrup's viscosity is very thick and slow, which is something that I've never experienced. The pancakes are quite fluffy. The sausages and eggs are alright. Because the place is small with less seats, it can be hectic during peak hours. Highly recommend to go through takeout if possible. If you still want to dine here especially indoors, you'll have to wait longer.

Really liked this place. The service was great, and the food was amazing. The pancakes were super fluffy. The place felt clean, Definitely coming back. Also, Thank you to our server. I wish I got his name, but I told him he looks like the kid from shameless "Carl"

We came here on a Sunday morning for brunch. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of parking since it is part of a larger complex. There was a bit of a wait for indoor seating as it was raining the day we went so no one was sitting outside. The wait ended up being around 10 to 15 minutes. Once the waitlist moved we were seated pretty quickly. The indoor space is not huge but it feels cozy and the staff kept everything moving without making it feel rushed. I ordered the California omelet with home fries and it was delicious. I did expect the portion to be a little bigger but the omelet was packed with avocado and had great seasoning. The home fries were cooked really well and had good flavor. It comes with two slices of toast and I chose sourdough which made it a good combination. The people I was with ordered the bagel sandwich and the burger. They said both were really good and everything came out hot and fresh. Service was friendly and the food tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. I can see why this place gets busy on weekends - we will definitely be back!

The food is amazing. We sat outside and it was so peaceful. I absolutely loved it. The service was very quick and friendly. Highly recommend coming here.

These waffles are crispy, not too sweet, absolutely perfect! Berry Good Waffle is very good... lol I love bringing my dog to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. Service is always 100, very friendly.

French Roast # 5 French Toast Combo

The French toast combo was delicious. The bacon was high quality and the scrambled eggs were nice and fluffy. The waffle combo and pancake combo were delicious as well. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend.

Cute breakfast spot located in Hayward. Amy's Grill give you the comfort breakfast dinner vibes and flavors. If you want some comfort food for breakfast or lunch they are open from 7 am to 3 pm. Friendly staff with many options on the menu. The service was not as quick as I had hoped for but they do make the orders fresh. The waiter I had seemed a little confused but it might have been a new trainee. Check out Amy's Grill for a decent meal and a nice cozy-comfy breakfast.

Breakfast Chicken Apple Sausage & Cheese Omelette
Gerald R.

DECENT, LIGHT BREAKFAST I ate here twice. The first time was on a Sunday. Before coming to Amy's Grill & Cafe I previewed the menu. One item that stood was the chicken apple sausage omlette. When the omelette was served I noticed the cheese with a bright yellow color, which concerned me. However the omelette was light with a moist chicken apple sausage. I ordered my hash brown well done, but I liked how the hashbrowns weren't burnt had a golden, brown color on the outside. In the past when I request to have my hashbrowns cooked well done sometimes they taste burnt, but not the hashbrowns I ate at Amy's Grill & Cafe. The second time I ate at Amy's Grill & Cafe was several days later. I knew what I wanted to order - cinnamon apple waffle. I was hoping that waffle with the cinnamon would be similar to churros in texture. I expected the waffle to crispy on the outside, but it was soft. The cinnamon apple topping didn't make the waffle heavy. Overall I was slightly disappointed with the cinnamon apple waffle. The bacon was a nice side order to compliment the waffle. During my two visits at Amy's Grill & Cafe I enjoyed my breakfast dishes. I expected more especially with the chicken sausage omelette and cinnamon apple waffle. Breakfast items at Amy's Grill & Cafe aren't that you become bloated. This place is a nice dining eatery to have pleasant, light breakfast.

We've been coming to this restaurant for years, and every time they exceed our expectations. The service is always quick, and the food consistently tastes amazing. We love their outdoor seating, it's such a nice spot to sit outside and enjoy breakfast. Eric took great care of us today and had us in and out within 40 minutes. We really enjoyed both of our entrées, veggie and cheese omelette and Avocado Toast. We'll definitely be back again for breakfast!

I wish we came back sooner and eat here more often instead of trying mediocre eateries... Amy the owner is still behind the Kitchen doing her THANG... She has alot of loyal customers she know by name. That speaks volume in my books. Me and the wifey came here on a Tuesday 11am ish. It was somewhat busy. They had 2 customers already seated when we arrived. We had the option to sit any were since it had plenty of open seats. We sat inside and they have seats outside if you prefer. Dog friendly outside. I love me some Chicken Fried Staek so that's what I had 5/5. As we was eating people started coming in Any new or the waitress knew who they were already. Saying HI. Questioning them how is the family. Which was a plus for us. Service was fast and easy. Will definitely come back more often. Maybe bring the kids next time! Thank you Amy and crew!

This is a small cafe located by Sonic in Hayward. It's not part of the strip mall, kind of on the island in the middle of the parking lot. It's cute! Great atmosphere. Nice outdoor seating. Inside fits about 25 people but laid out nicely. The service was awesome. We were greeted with a smile and manners by this young man. We were seated right away. The food was good. I had corn beef hash with eggs and hash brown. And it was all cooked exactly the way I want it. Service was friendly during our meal. Prices were reasonable. I recommend this place.

Came to this area for work and was looking for a lunch spot. Cute tiny place with some indoor and outdoor seating. A classic menu and rhe food was good and well priced. Its just one woman in the kitchen and a waitress. I got the cobb salad and my friend got the grilled chicken sandwich and both were great!

I usually go to the Pleasanton spot but happened to be nearby and wanted to get a cake for Mother's day. I understand that because it is a holiday that they were going to be busy, but it was incredibly disorganized inside with people cutting in and out of line at the counter and the staff were too busy to redirect customers or take orders. Incredibly frustrating as there were several instances of people just cutting their way in line and just placing their orders/getting served ahead of everyone else by just walking straight up to the register. When it came to my turn the staff asked for my order then turned around and instead went and took care of someone who had cut in front straight to the register to buy bread when I had already been waiting in line for awhile. They did not even bother asking if they had been waiting there before or had cut the line, the staff just skipped me just because that person had gone straight up to the register. Incredibly frustrating situation and I just did not want to get into it with the line cutter or the staff. Was still able to pick up the cake but I would skip this place since they can't even set up a system for a line/queue. Go to the Pleasanton spot instead and skip this spot.

I'm not much of a coffee drinker but my girlfriend got an horchata latte, which I took a few sips from and I thought it tasted more like a mocha and didn't have much horchata flavor but I still enjoyed it. The surprise was easily their empanadas. I'd come back just for these as they are probably some of the best empanadas I've ever had. These things were full of filling (which is rare) and came out hot and fresh. We tried both the spinach and egg & the cheese and potato, I loved em both. The chimichurri it came with was also tasty. Definitely grab a spoon to make sure you can get some on every bite. 10/10 would come back for their empanadas alone. They are $7.50 each, but one kept me full for most of the morning and into the afternoon. All the staff here were super friendly and the space is beautifully decorated. Would definitely be open to trying the rest of their lunch menu next time around.

Usually when I have "honey toast" the bread is still bouncy in the middle. The crème brûlée was lacking in flavor. The crepe it self tasted good. It was too thick and hard to cut through (especially since they didn't have plastic knives. There really is no point in serving it as a cone, you might as well serve it flat folded into a triangle. The Nutella was scarce, the chocolate ice cream tasted like it had been in the freezer with the top open. The price is quite steep for the desserts (and the level of disappointment). We didn't try any of the drinks. So if you are there for that, you may have a better experience.
