Never disappointed when I come here. Always have leftovers portions are large. Food arrives quickly . Tv screens play sports and music videos . Have a full bar . Staff friendly . Great spot for a date or to hung out with friends and share food. Been many times and will come again.

One of the best deal on oysters in the Bay Area! Tuesday and Thursday $1 oysters, it can't get better than that. We came here on a Thursday and the vibe was chill, the ambiance here is trying to be a sports bar with 6 different big screens you can watch on, but it's also kinda quiet with Kpop running in the background. There are plenty of food options, ranging from raw oysters, variety skewers, even Gom tang soup (beef ribs soup) . Some of the best skewers i had. Highly recommend the beef tongue, wagyu and lamb chop. Oysters was cleaned well and the presentation was excellent. Service was great. We spent over $250 and they gave us an order of the chicken skin for free! That was a nice surprise!

It is mostly finger food place but they have good Asian fusion stuffs. We had Korean pork belly, shrimp cake, skewers, and mango soda. Everything was good. Ambience and service were good too.

Bar Bay Grill is a good place for food and drinks. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, they have $1 oysters! We had to settle for a restaurant nearby since our original plan changed. Thankfully this place closes pretty late so we decided to stop by. We got a few appetizers, skewers, oysters, pork belly and a soup. All the food was pretty delicious but standouts were the garlic fries and the oysters. The fries were super crispy and double coated. The oysters were super refreshing. Loved the sauces paired with the oysters. They also provided Tabasco sauce for those that like it classic. The skewers were pretty great as well. The meat was tender and grilled nicely. Would come back!

Great Food, Chill Vibe, and Friendly Service! Bar Bay Grill in Union City is such a hidden gem! I come here at least 2 times a week for 10 years. It has that perfect balance of a cozy neighborhood spot with a modern, clean feel. I love coming here on Fridays because it's usually packed. The curry chicken is a must! It's actually addicting. Grilled garlic butter oysters are flavor- packed. Stir-fried vermicelli, delicious and huge portion. The freshest oysters I've ever had . Garlic fries are garlicky and flavorful. Chicken Karage, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Their homemade aioli is made for the heavens. The chicken skin is ok. It is a bit too crispy for me. Service was also on point. The servers are always attentive, friendly, and check- in just enough without hovering. I remember one of our servers was named Phoebe. She was super- sweet. Whether you're meeting friends for drinks or grabbing a casual bite, even for a date , this place is definitely worth a visit. My only complaint is they don't open earlier for lunch anymore. I still highly recommend this place! Also if you bring your receipt over to the dessert boba shop next door , Caffe.in , you get 10% off your order.

If you want an asian tapas spot - THIS IS IT! O R D E R E D - Korean beef bone soup - Curry Chicken Toast - Bbq beef ribs - Grilled Mussels - Samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly) V E R D I C T OMG i cannot get enough of the toast from the curry chicken toast, i think i can eat so many orders of the bread alone. it's so soft and fluffy, like eating cloud, if I ever ate that haha. Their portions are bigger than I expected, worth it! This is a fun spot to hangout with friends to grab a bite to eat and to watch a spots game or listen to and watch some Kpop MVs. The service is friendly and attentive, I came on a weekend lunch - dine in wasn't too busy, lucky me but I definitely noticed a lot of to go orders. Parking is easy because they're in a plaza, so no stress there.

Even though the Warriors are done for the season, it was still a fun night watching the game with fellow fans at Bar Bay Grill. Their daily happy hour never disappoints -- the garlic fries came out hot and crispy, the curry hot pot was comforting and flavorful, and the chicken karaage and chicken wings were both super satisfying. Good vibes, good food, and a great spot to catch a game. Service was good, need remind to get water refill from time to time.

Always a good time even when it's crazy busy at this place. Came here with some folks and wasn't too long of a wait to be seated. The servers are always hospitable and friendly. The food is yummy as usual. We had ribs, pork belly, wagyu beef, eggplant, chicken skin, chicken hearts, squid, cheese corn, bacon wrapped quail eggs, curry chicken toast, oysters and more. Oh, and a few or eight bottles of soju. We left fulfilled and satisfied as we should.

We went out for the oyster deal (1$ per oyster all day on fresh oysters tues. and thurs.) It was totally worth! The oysters were really good and a great size. I was honestly impressed and would come back for that. We also ordered some yakitori / skewers. I would say the meat skewers we probably could've split one between two people especially with how many different things we were trying. We got the wagyu skewer and pork belly, as well as shishito, quail egg in bacon, and the mushroom. Out of all of them the mushroom was my favorite which was surprising! Maybe following that is the quail egg skewer which was also delicious and chewy. Service was good, and our waiter was kind. The ambiance was good as well, with clean tables and TVs with sports... although the music was a bit funky at points. But we were vibing. Overall would recommend this place and will return !

Michelle T.

Food For me, the yakitori here is at best okay- but everything else here is amazing! (So don't go here for only yakitori) The first thing we got and tried was the takoyaki- which was actually really good! Probably one of the better ones in the area. The 2nd menu item was the curry chicken toast, which was apparently really popular. I liked the chicken curry toast. A bit hard to eat as the bread is literally the platter and inside there's chicken. The toast was crispy but soft and warm in the inside. The yakitori was okay, I wouldn't mind eating it, but I'd probably go to a different place, I don't think it's one of the better ones out there in Bay Area. The chicken karage is really good but it's definitely not the best. I would order next time but not my favorites among the things they offer in this restaurant. The final thing we ate was the chicken skin which I was originally not going to add because it isn't on the menu. Apparently is a new item and they were trying it out, they gave it to us on the house, which was nice. It was hot when we first got it but quickly cooled down so if you like it hot, eat it fast! Service Well first I gotta mention the chicken skin they gave us. Thanks! 2nd, the service itself was bad, just nothing to mention that's significant. Food came decently fast, took about 10ish minutes. Ambiance Cool place! Relatively empty but it's a Saturday and we were here pretty early for dinner. TVs are pretty loud, they were turned off briefly and the place was silent lol. Sound was like average. Apologies for bad pictures

I came with my friends for HH and got their $1 oysters! We were seated almost immediately. ordered : (4/5) - chicken gizzard : this was slightly hard and difficulty to eat but it wasn't bad! Just average - HH oysters: for $1, you can't beat the price! I would probably come back for this! - seafood boil: It was slightly salty for my taste, but it went well with the beer that we ordered! -grilled mussels: super yummy! It was cooked nicely with the mayo! -scallop skewers: this was probably my favorite. Cooked perfectly and not overdone. - eggplant- super simple and paired nice with the other heavier dishes! service: (5/5) The service was good. They kept on refilling ur water and checked up on us multiple times. vibe: (5/5) This is a great place after work for HH or to come with friends for drinks. It's fairly priced and everything was shareable! parking: (5/5) Free parking lot out front! overall: Overall I would come back with friends for HH!

My favorite place to go for fresh Oysters. B.B.G never disappoints! Their chicken gizzard skewers remind me of Macau. I just love the food and the service is always great! We moved out if the are but always come back often.

We've eaten here consistently over the past year and they never disappoint! Sunday they have $1.50 beer days, Thursdays they have $1 oyster days and they have deals on other days I don't remember. Bacon wrapped quail eggs, ramen, curry toast & cheese corn are some of our favorites. Decor is pretty cool with sports memorabilia all over and tv on each wall playing different games. Service is always quick and friendly.

Fast forward years later and now I'm on the East Bay side and Rice Junky is no longer a memory of the past. Located in a small plaza, parking can be somewhat tough since the lot is small and the laundromat gets plenty of foot traffic, but it's free. The inside is decently sized although there's no space for you to sit and enjoy your food inside and outside. There's a tablet at the register for you to submit your order. I opted for their ham and cheese isaac toast and an egg salad sandwich. I appreciate the food being made fresh and the workers were efficient, but the isaac toast had one slice of ham and A LOT of cabbage, both fried in a puck and non-fried. The egg salad sandwich looked good, but didn't have much flavor to rave about. Overall, yes, the food is made fresh for you and it's a decent option to have if you're in the area, but it wouldn't be my first pick for a quick meal.

I totally…read morethought it was going to be a potato themed fast casual resto doing things like different variants on French fries or stuffed baked potatoes. Boy was I so off the mark. Lol. It is a Chinese tea/boba shop with a super unique Asian fusion-y type of food. They have musubis, gyozas, fried snacks and even some substantial meals like noodle soups and bentos. I haven't tried much of their offerings but in what I have, have not been bad at all. I've only had a couple of versions of milk teas here for drinks. They run about $7ish and are in big cups (at least 16oz). I like them at the 30% sweet level, still a tad sweet but also refreshing. I'd like the tea flavor to be a tad stronger but it is fine here. Gyoza ($7ish/3.5*) these are small lightly deep fried dumplings. Probably from frozen but as a quick cheap snack, most would be satisfied. I was. Spam Musubi ($10/4*) You get 3 fairly large musubis, which is a lot for me. I do 2 as a meal and do the other as a snack later in the day. The rice to spam ratio leans heavy on the rice part. But their rice is unique as there's some toasted rice specs that give the bites a toasty note. Kinda like the crisp rice on the bottom of a claypot dish. Not in texture but in aroma. Never had a musubi like this. There is a good layer of thick sweet teriyaki sauce which I can do without but does bring that sweet n salty principle into effect. This may become my anchor dish here as it's kinda hard to find a good musubi in this town. Pretty stylish space, loud music I think they are targeting that 16-22 age frame. You order through a kiosk which I don't mind but I find theirs to be very clunky with a lot of prompts and not easy progression. But I get my haircut in the same complex so before I hop back in my car, I can set myself up with a refreshment/treat. A useful and local hit-up.

The service is friendly but the wait was very long, about a half hour. While the inside while cute and cozy, was extremely hot/un air conditioned. Just left disappointed because of the lack of sago in a drink that's revolved around sago, the hot environment, and the long wait.
