    Spicy pork lunch box
    Leanne C.

My husband and I came here around 12 pm on a Thursday and it was surprisingly busy. We appeared to come in right as other parties had ordered. There was a little bit of a wait for us to get our food but they seemed to move pretty quickly after that wave. We ordered the kalbi lunch box, spicy pork lunch box, and the seafood pancake. The seafood pancake was top tier and perfectly crispy on the outside while fluffy on the inside. We really enjoyed the lunch boxes as well. The meats had great flavor and felt like a good deal around $18 each. We were both unable to finish our boxes, probably since we kept eating the pancake, and were able to take home about half of each one. Highly recommend the galbi. The spicy pork was also really good and had a nice grilled flavor on the meat. If you get the lunch boxes, banchan is included in the box and is not refillable. We will definitely be back here. I have my eye on the sundubu combos as well as the naengmyeon combos that are available in the summer only.

Food: one word, AMAZING. From banchan to tofu soup, everything tasted like I had in Korea. The flavors are spot on and portion is good. Their bibimpap is highly recommended! Service: one of the warmest I've had in Bay Area for sure. The guy was very welcoming, attentive and helpful! Makes the overall dining experience better. Ambiance: I love how the name of the restaurant and "delicious" in Korean is corresponded. Overall it's casual but I hope the kitchen vacuum is better so we don't get too stuffed by the smell.

We went here for lunch on a rainy day. It felt so good to have tofu hot pot soup. They had a lunch menu with good selections and prices , but no tofu hot pot soup. So we ordered from the regular menu . Each order came with 6 side dishes and they were refillable . We enjoyed the side dishes as much as the main meal . We asked for two rounds of refills . If you order the lunch menu item then you don't get any refills on the side dishes . The tofu broths were very tasty with seafood inside ( squid, clams and shrimps ) . One of us ordered the beef tofu hot pot soup, mild . We tried the hot soup before and it was too spicy for us . Good quality of food . Great service and a big parking lot just outside the front door. I usually tried to arrive at the restaurant by 11:30 am or else the tables could be all taken and I would need to wait for the next round . Miga restaurant has been in Fremont for many years . It is one of the classic and authentic Korean restaurants. Love to come here from time to time .

Been wanting to try for a while now & saw its good reviews on beli. Came in on a busy Friday & there was plenty of parking and server was very friendly and nice. I'm a huge fan of Korean food and saw the good reviews so we ordered a seafood pajeon + spicy squid. We waited over 20 minutes for our food and got the seafood pancake and the bigger pieces were almost liquidy/raw from the mixture on the inside. Thankfully the server took it back and cooked it a bit more. The flavor on the spicy squid was amazing and very tasty and all of the side dishes were great quality as well. Just had to wave down the workers for waters/napkins bc it was so hectic. Think we just came on a busy/off day. The workers were all super kind and there was one server running around the busy restaurant. Would like to try again in future

I love finding a good hole in the wall and Miga is exactly that: tucked away in the side of a plaza, super delicious and authentic. The service was great. The food was fire and the lunch special prices are so affordable! About ~$18 for the spicy pork combo that I got, and it was enough food to take home leftovers! Seafood pancake was huge too. Loved it and will definitely come back

Food here is so good, perfect portions and decent price as well. I remember that their seafood soup was ok, seafood pancake is pretty good but wish it was more crispy, and soon tofu was really good. Came again yesterday and my soon tofu was wayyyyyy too salty. Banchan is pretty good and you can get seconds, I just thought the kimchi was too sour. Rice texture is really good, galbi flavor and char is great (just overpriced imo) We waited 30 mins for banchan to come out before food even came, we ordered about 40 minutes after opening. You have to ask for things like more napkins but the utensils are available on the table. The ambiance is more of a family or friends kind of place, and it fills up within two hours of opening here (on holidays)

Came here yesterday for lunch with a friend, party of 2, and really enjoyed the meal! I got the bulgogi and tofu soup combo with the dumpling tofu soup, and we also shared a korean seafood pancake appetizer. They also serve Korean side dishes like kimchi, fishcakes, veggies, etc. Total was around $54 per person, but I had a ton of leftovers that was like 2 more meals for me. So you can definitely just order 1 dish and feel pretty full. Pros: - Delicious food, exactly what you would expect. No surprises, you come for good reliable Korean food and that's exactly what you will get. - Very kind servers who kept our hot waters refilled and checked in enough times - Decent sitting space, I would say this place is best for parties of 2-4 - Easy parking lot out front - The tofu soup has spiciness levels, the "medium" is like shin ramen so I got mild. The tofu soup was my favorite and it hit the spot. - LOVE that they give you a full egg to dump into your tofu soup! Eggs are expensive these days Cons: - Bulgogi was a little dry, but still delicious.

First time trying this place and the food tasted authentic. My dad and I tried the seafood pancake and the spicy beef tofu soup combo with galbi. It was enough for 2 people for a late lunch! The side dishes are my favorite part whenever I eat Korean food. They gave around 8 different ban chan and each was 10/10. They seemed to only have 2 people working on the floor but they were fast to accommodate the early dinner rush.

Wow might just be one of my new favorite Korean spots in Fremont! The food here was truly the definitely of comfort. From the EXCELLENT banchan, spicy beef ramen, extra spicy seafood tofu soup, soybean stew, and grilled mackerel, everything was perfect! The spicy beef ramen was probably my favorite item. So simple yet so good! Beef flavor shines through and is complimented by the spice. The extra spicy seafood tofu soup has tons of seafood, and I loved how well the savory soybean stew and mackerel went together. I have no complaints about the food! Price wise, this place is pretty expensive for the portions. But the quality is there and the service is also really great. Place feels homey and comfortable. Can't wait to be back soon!

When I crave Korean food and want to be close to home.., this is my go to place. I'd say this is almost a hole in the wall since it's behind a wall (not visible from the street and not advertised) and who would know this place existed? (Heard about this place through my mama.) TIPS// - Come here during lunch! Yes, there may be a wait/rush, but if you order from the lunch menu, you get the best bang for your buck; not only financially but emotionally (through experiencing different flavors). FOOD// (All food was ordered from the lunch menu. All side dishes are the same. And NO you cannot ask for more banchan...) Galbi - MUST GET as at any Korean restaurant - it's still slightly raw (I would say medium rare but realistically nearly rare?) but the marinate and flavors really seeped through Spicy bulgogi - I've tried the spicy pork which was a tad dry to me and I thought beef would be better but ended up with a ton of burnt pieces and therefore bitter aftertaste - 100% tastes as if the spicy is solely from gochujang Mackerel - I was craving fish - my cousin previously ordered this and shared it with me so I knew it was going to be dry... and this round it was still dry - HOWEVER, it was a wonderful break from the heavy and meaty dishes - solely flavored by salt POT OF TEA// - this is $1.99 - tastes like Japanese rice tea AMBIENCE// - lots of nearby workers and returning customers - food does come out VERY SLOWLY so expect a wait - bustling but folks chilling and conversing - a very small establishment and almost feels like a tight squeeze SERVICE// - I love how it feels like a family ran business - attentive but highly unlikely will come around and ask how you are doing or if you need anything LOCATION// - within the dollar tree, mega mart, big 5 plaza... - plentiful free and uncomplicated parking WHY NOT 5 STARS?// - I predict this happens for dinner but I wished they served the meat on the hot plates during lunch - small portions for galbi during lunch... only exactly 6 pieces... - it is really really really slow (as banchan is likely already prepared and refrigerated and rice is likely already cooked whereas salad is salad...) - their salad dressing is very very very light... I wish there was more tang or more refreshing undertones to help cut through the grease - from my experience, you literally have to wave down the servers for anything - it is strange that there is a bench utilized solely for DoorDash, to go orders, etc and thus, they have signs out stating DO NOT SIT HERE but people sit on it anyways... I'd expect them to have a rack or something for the to go orders while letting people chill on the benches as they themselves are about to spend money at this establishment? (I understand this restaurant is quite small.) - tea is $1.99; seriously? Will I come back? Heck yeah! Reminds me of home and I truly appreciate the homey vibe.

This is my new favorite Korean restaurant in the Fremont area and I can't believe that I haven't tried Miga until now. Miga is the coziest Korean restaurant I've been to and has such a mom and pop vibe. The restaurant itself is dated, but that doesn't matter since tantalizing smells hit your nose as you open the door. Seating is limited, so be aware if you come during peak times. I arrived before the lunch rush on a Saturday but was also dining solo, so I was seated promptly. There were also plenty of Korean grandmas that started arriving in the middle of my meal, so that's how you know this place is legit. I was feeling a bit under the weather, so I beelined towards the tofu soup section of the menu. I was immediately drawn to the assorted tofu soup (#6), since it came with a good variety of meat. I did still take a look at the rest of the menu and took a few mental notes about what dishes I would like to try next when I returned. Everything was quite affordably priced, especially for Korean food in the Bay Area. I didn't have to wait long for my banchan and boiling tofu soup to arrive to my table. The soup was so bubbly that some of it was spilling over the sides of the hot stone bowl, which I love seeing. I was also very pleasantly surprised by the amount of banchan that I received, especially since I was dining alone. I quickly added my raw egg to my tofu soup to cook and started to dig in to my banchan. All the ingredients were so fresh and flavorful! As I went through my steaming bowl of tofu soup, I was surprised by how much meat there was. For the price of the tofu soup, I'm used to a decent amount of meat/seafood, but this was the most amount of meat & seafood that I've ever received in a tofu soup. And they still managed to pack a good amount of tofu in my bowl too! Needless to say I was very happy with my choice for lunch. The flavors were also on point (I got medium spicy but could have gone with spicy) and so comforting. I was hungry that afternoon, so I cleared every little plate of banchan and finished my tofu soup and rice bowl, but it was definitely a filling lunch. I am extremely pleased with my first experience at Miga and can't wait to take my husband there the next time we are in Fremont. I would highly recommend Miga for anyone looking for a comforting meal with good service!

I really do like this place. I especially liked the Tteobeoki. It's probably the best texture to the rice cakes that I've had. You can control the spiciness of it too we got mild now I want to come back and go one level higher. The seafood tofu soup was good too. The service was great and the staff was really nice. On the screens they were playing non stop kpop girl groups that was fun too. Will definitely come back.

Authentic Korean home cooking ! The staff makes you feel like family and you can see the family making your meals and they smile right back at you. Love this place and the food and never fails as our go to Korean home style cooking. Oh and the banchan is fresh made and the best one you will ever taste.

I was definitely in for a surprise with the wide selection of plant-based options available. Just the tofu alone they have 4-6 different dishes to try out. We ordered their tofu soup, a ramen, falling tofu as appetizer and kimchi pancake. More than enough to feed the two of us but I couldn't help ordering with the wide tantalizing varieties available. Their tofu is really fresh and you can tell it's homemade and their specialty as their tofu comes in black tofu, carrot tofu version in addition to the standard white version. I love how they provide the different types of tofu in my tofu ramen soup. The falling tofu was really good too. Slightly breaded, crisp on outside with soft tofu inside and the delicious (sweet and sour) sauce from the mushroom topping round up the dish perfectly. We were also surprise with their banchan that comes with a beef/meat side dish. Never seen that at other Korean restaurants before. Lastly the kimchi pancake has a good nice crispyness to the texture but could use more kimchi & stronger, bolder taste that I get from one of my other fav establishment in Milpitas. Great service and very serious and open to constructive feedback for dish improvement. Rare to find! I will be back to try their other tofu appetizers, salad and steamed egg tofu. Interior was great - nice decor, warm ambiance, contemporary and clean.

We tried their combo Isaac toast, beef kimbap, and kimchi tuna triangle kimbap (think onigiri). If you've never had Isaac toast, it's a popular Korean street food sandwich that is both savory and sweet. The Isaac toast here is a hefty portion and packed with full of flavor. There is a jam spread on the bread that gives it some sweetness and the cabbage slaw is dressed in what tastes like a thousand island dressing. Then you have the egg with carrot patty as well as a slice of cheese and ham. It's the most excellent breakfast sandwich. The bread is fluffy and griddled with butter - what more could you ask for? The beef bulgogi kimbap was also yummy. They don't put too much rice and they certainly don't skimp on the filling. The bulgogi was seasoned well - salty and sweet enough. The other ingredients were fresh and paired well together. Of the kimbaps I've had in my lifetime, this was definitely one of the better ones. The kimchi tuna triangle kimbap was packaged well so that the seaweed does not touch the rice until you're ready to eat, just like how they package it in Japan. Good amount of filling, well seasoned rice, and crisp seaweed. The prices are very fair here given the portion size. I would definitely return when in the mood for some kimbap and Isaac toast!
