Screenshot of my phone calls that were missed on purpose
    Homiarah H.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant and will not be returning. I called multiple times around 9:03 PM to place a takeout order. My calls rang repeatedly without being answered, and one call was picked up and immediately disconnected. Since I was already driving there, I went in person and saw an employee standing at the register, which made the lack of response even more frustrating. When I placed my order, I requested Tom Kha soup with mushrooms only, but was told that was not possible and that I had to choose either vegetables or shrimp. I explained that mushrooms were the only vegetable I wanted in the soup, but I was still told no. I then ordered spicy eggplant with ground chicken and two jasmine rice. After I paid for my order, I realized I wanted extra eggplant and went back to the counter to add it. I specifically told the employee that I was happy to pay the additional charge. Despite having just placed and paid for my order moments earlier, I was told they could not add extra eggplant because the kitchen was closing. The biggest issue came when I received my food. I specifically ordered spicy eggplant with ground chicken, but the dish was made with sliced chicken instead. When I brought it back, one employee initially insisted that this was how the dish came. Another employee then acknowledged that I had, in fact, ordered ground chicken. After speaking among themselves, they returned and asked if I would simply keep the incorrect order because they could not remake it. When I declined, they agreed to issue a refund. However, during the refund process, I was shocked when an employee asked for the condiments back because I was no longer taking the food. We are talking about a small container of sauce and a few jalapeño slices. In all my years of dining out, I have never had a restaurant ask for complimentary condiments back after making a mistake on an order. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of customer service. There was no apology for the unanswered phone calls, the incorrect order, or the inconvenience. Instead, I was met with attitude and indifference throughout the interaction. To make matters worse, employees were already mopping the floors while numerous customers were still dining inside. I personally almost slipped on the wet floor. The staff clearly saw customers walking through the area, yet the floors were being mopped before customers had even finished their meals, creating an unnecessary safety hazard. I also witnessed several customers being turned away despite arriving before the posted closing time, while there were still many customers seated and eating inside the restaurant. It appeared that staff were more focused on closing and leaving than serving customers during their posted business hours. Finally, when I asked for a copy of my refund receipt after accidentally handing mine back, I was told they could not print another one. Instead, an employee handed me the restaurant's copy of the refund receipt and instructed me to take a picture of it with my phone. Mistakes happen in every business. What matters is how they are handled. Unfortunately, this experience was marked by poor communication, lack of professionalism, and a complete absence of customer care. I hope the owner sees this review because they deserve to know how customers are being treated. For anyone looking for excellent Thai food and outstanding customer service, I highly recommend New Krungthai Restaurant. They have been consistently wonderful, their food is excellent, and they have always treated me with kindness and respect. They have earned my business for years to come, and I will gladly continue supporting them. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will be taking my business there instead. Good food is important, but customer service and professionalism matter just as much.

A lovely local Thai spot! I loved the wallpaper and artwork they have up when you walk in. The items on their menu has the classics you expect to see but also less common offerings. We ordered the Drunken Noodles with Chicken and a Smoked Duck Curry with a side of Coconut Rice. The presentation was really lovely and made the dinner feel like a more elevated experience. I really liked how fresh and crispy the vegetables tasted in the Drunken Noodles. The staff was friendly and we experienced quick service.

Tldr its fine. The roti is really good Here are some abridged thoughts: - the roti appetizer is really good. Would come back just for that. I really like that they cut it up for you. - the service was good :) they were very nice and the food came out quickly - pad Thai was on the sweeter side. It was fine but too sweet for my taste. It was a bit clumpy too but pretty standard for what you expect from pad Thai in the bay. Very ketchup flavor - chicken app was not very meaty but decently tasty. - duck Khao soi was just ok. The soup was nice imo but my friend thought it was bland. The noodles were egg noodles (which i personally dont like) and the crispy bit on top wasn't very crispy. The duck was just ok lol - sticky rice mango was yummy! Its mango season so the mangos were good too - parking was terrible as always lol

As someone who was just in Bangkok a few weeks ago, this place is pretty solid on its own right. It's a small restaurant with pretty walls and great service. I tried the green curry with beef and a thai iced tea. The thai tea was fine but the flavor of the green curry was definitely the highlight. I got it spicy and while it wasn't as spicy as getting it in Thailand itself, it still has a good kick. Rice is sold separately. It doesn't have the biggest menu, but I would definitely give this place a shot if you are looking for some Thai food.

The best way to celebrate a Birthday--good company and good food! As Thai food is one my favorites--celebrated my Birthday, with a friend a few days. We arrived early during lunch time hours. Service was very kind and polite as usual. Once we were seated, waters were brought out to us, and menus were given to us. They checked in with us, shortly and we had decided to try something new. The food, so amazing! Pineapple fried rice actually was served in a pineapple with actually pineapple, very creative and flavorful. The pad kee mao noodles, mildly spicy, love the spices. The roti, also very good and devoured within minutes. As we did finish our meal and no leftovers, decided to try new Mille crepe cake with Thai tea ice cream. Amazing meal, glad to have tried something new. Can't wait to go back!

R HaanThai had been popping up on my Yelp for a while so we decided to try it out for a late birthday dinner for my brother in November. We came in on a Monday night and the restaurant was pleasantly buzzing, but our party of 5 got seated right away. Immediately, the special menu caught our eye advertising khao soi with soft shell crab, and a discount on beer. Naturally, we had to order them both. The service was exceptional and our kind server took great care of us, even bringing out complimentary mango sticky rice dessert when we mentioned it was my brother's birthday. It was also very heart warming when she asked for my ID when I ordered the beer and visibly gasped when she saw I was well over 21 lol. Papaya salad: Decent, we asked for peanuts on the side and they happily obliged. Khao soi soft shell crab: Pretty good, but I've had better. Soft shell crab was a nice twist. Khao soi duck: Same as above, duck was good but could've been even more tender. Pad kee mao: Decent, interestingly had wonton crackers on top. Salmon Panang avocado: Interesting dish and flavor, pretty good. Bangkok duck: Probably the best dish out of everything, the duck was crispy and very flavorful, with lots of garlic and fried onions.

Came here for lunch with my son. I ordered all my favorites. The food came out really fast and waitresses were super helpful and nice. We had the fried tilapia. I loved the presentation and fried pieces of fish rather than cooking the whole fish, it was more crispy this way. I loved the taste of everything yet my son felt like the food needed more flavor. The restaurant was very busy during lunch, but they offered us a larger table since we ordered a lot of food. The decorations and ambiance were very traditional. I really like this place.

My new favorite Thai place! Food was delicious. Service was great. Cute tropical decor. Fried pompano and tiger shrimp was our favorite. They do have beer here if you like that. I think they have other alcoholic beverages as well.

I noticed this Thai restaurant multiple times when we would be in the plaza and I decided to look them up on Yelp. One thing I noticed was that a lot of customers mentioned the Crispy Pompano. After seeing some pictures, I was excited to go and try it out! When we got to the restaurant, it was pretty busy, but we were sat down right away and given menus and water. When we go to Thai restaurants, we usually get the same thing and then a new dish we've never tried. So we ordered 2 Pad See Ew (1 spicy with beef and 1 not spicy with pork), the Crispy Pompano, and a side of rice. The food actually came out pretty quick and I was impressed with the presentation of the Crispy Pompano! The pompano meat was cut up into cubes, deep fried, and it seems like it had Sweet Chili sauce on top with some basil. The body of the pompano was under the meat and seemed like it was meant to be used to display the meat. Either way, it was actually pretty good! The Pad See Ew was pretty good, but lacked flavor and had lots of filler vegetables. From our experience with other Thai restaurants, we've seen a lot of Pad See Ew with some carrots and some broccoli. But the Pad See Ew here had A LOT of cabbage. Overall, there seemed to be a lot more vegetables compared to other places and I'm sure it's used as fillers. Overall, our bill was pretty expensive for 3 entrees and a side of rice. We didn't order any drinks: $70 and that was without tip. Our go-to Thai entree is Pad See Ew, so it's hard for us to want to go back when the Pad See Ew wasn't great. I would recommend the Crispy Pompano! But so far, I don't think we'll be coming back anytime soon.

Revisit - Consistency Check Stopped by again recently. The important part: the flavors are unchanged. Same balanced curry depth. Same controlled heat structure. Same roti - crisp outside, elastic inside, perfect for tearing and dipping. Consistency like that is harder than creativity. What did change slightly - in a good way - is the presentation. The plating and garnishes seem to rotate with the seasons. This time the dish arrived with a bright yellow flower accent, and it immediately lifted the mood of the table. Yellow does that - it opens the appetite before the first bite. It's a small detail, but it reflects something real: Thai hospitality often shows itself through color, warmth, and attention to presentation. Here it feels intentional rather than decorative. The flavors remain disciplined. The visual touches evolve. That balance - stable cooking with seasonal personality - is exactly why this place stays in the regular rotation. - Dr. C Consistency verified. Warmth intact.

Really delicious thai food. Everything was super well balanced and the service was good! The inside of the store is very cozy and cute too. My favorite dishes were the avocado salmon panang curry and the crab fried rice. This place is a bit on the pricey side, but it is worth the money!

First time here for a Mother's Day lunch and everything was delicious! The restaurant is a little small so there can be a bit of a wait time, but once you're seated the service is very fast. The Thai teas were delicious, and everything else tasted great with unique flavors.

Hi there! We will be in the area next weekend and we have a little one that has a gluten allergy but LOVES Pad see Ew? Is there a way you can make it Gluten FREE? Or do you offer anything gluten free? thanks.

Hi! Yes, we can make several dishes gluten free for your little one. We can do Pad See Ew, Pad Kee Mao, fried rice, and many of our entrees gluten free upon request. Just let our staff know about the gluten allergy when ordering, and we’ll take care…

May I ask what time is your last seating?

Our last seating is 30 minutes before closing — at 2:30 PM for lunch and 9:00 PM for dinner.

The beef is pretty much flat little pieces. You are better off just getting vegetarian tofu. It's just small bits of beef that's hard and chewy I ate the padthai a few hours later and it was ok. I don't like the container it was packed in. Made the noodles all compressed and sticking to each other. The chicken is pounded flat pieces. Pretty slim pickings as well. I was going to get shrimp but that would be +3 dollars. So I just went with chicken Total was $35. I gave $2 tip. Since the padthai was Togo, $2 on $16 dollar lunch special is sufficient I think for a quick lunch for the tech workers these specials are ok. But they are very frugal on the meat... Perhaps the dinner dishes are better as I saw inside on other tables. But, for today. I thought the items I ordered was just average. I would not do the lunch specials again. I feel the Milpitas silk road area restaurants give you a much better deal on similar food.

It tastes like crab soup with a subtle spice aftertaste and a very, small fermented taste. Tea leaf salad: The small green Thai chilis are SO hot and made me cough instantly. A decent tea leaf salad with nice crunchy bits through you can find it better at other places. Indian mee goreng: Too sweet for our taste and less soy sauce than we like. It tasted like the primary sauce ingredient was ketchup. Plenty of large shrimps and nice pieces of potato and bell peppers. Hainam chicken combo: yellow color chicken and rice. The sauces this came with were great. The bones were a bit sloppily cut but it still tasted good. Roti pratha: This used to be my lunch often in Singapore, so nostalgic! Roti with coconut curry for dipping. Came super super hot and fresh.
