I'll have to come back to try the steak but no notes for the pork Teppanyaki. I like to get the mixed sauce with pepper and mushroom. My coworker got the shrimp steak though, and I do have to warn that those are just full shrimps on a sizzling plate that you have to peel and so I would not recommend that. For those who aren't familar with seolleongtang, its important to add salt to the broth to taste. The staff were friendly and attentive. Restaurant has plenty of tables but it seems like it could get busy based on the paper waitlist sign up sheet I saw in the front. There is a parking lot but I think it would be a lot more packed during busier times. We really enjoyed our food and experience here and would be willing to drive up again from Milpitas. I was also surprised by how family-style-oriented the menu was and, consequently, how steep the prices were compared to other family style places. Overall, I enjoyed the seolleongtang and would come back for the soup, but I'd recommend coming with a large group to get the most out of the menu and pricing. Additionally, parking was a bit difficult since they share the parking lot with a large wedding hall.

The combo 1 has a bbq galbi (LA galbi), a bbq dish (with chicken, pork and bulgogi), tofu soup and a cheesy corn dish. None of them are bad per se but the amount of food doesn't feel like a good enough deal for the price. The combo is a better deal than ordering the dish individually but the the amount of galbi is just too little. The same is true for the spicy squid dish, just too few pieces to justify the price. The tofu soup doesn't come with an egg. Banchan however has a good number of varieties. This is also the only Korean restaurant I know that charges $3 for a bowl of rice. The service is good and the place is larger than expected. There are bbq tables but I don't think those have been used for a while. The location is the tiny plaza where the main focus is the McDonald's. There is however a fairly popular coffee place next door.

It's perfect with some veggies like the chive skewers. We also loved the classic beef and lamb (minimum order of two) and lamb belly (comes in two skewers). The cut on the lamb belly is smaller than the classic lamb. The Taiwanese sausage, bbq pork with garlic, and tofu wraps (comes in ten skewers) were also delicious. Only skippable thing was the a-choy. The flavors weren't too spicy and they have a lot of drink options. Service was relatively quick but sometimes confusing in the order that it comes out. We ordered everything at the same time but the chives came out first and the a-choy came out last? Plenty of parking in the plaza; friendly (enough) service. It's a plus if you know Mandarin lol. Total was about $60 after tax and tip. We'll definitely be back!

When I mentioned that the fish was much smaller than usual, I was told, "You didn't ask for a bigger fish." But no one asked me what size I wanted in the first place. I was also told the fish was 2.5 lbs, which is hard for me to believe based on what I received. For $59 plus tax and tip, this was extremely disappointing. We ordered their tofu soup, a ramen, falling tofu as appetizer and kimchi pancake. More than enough to feed the two of us but I couldn't help ordering with the wide tantalizing varieties available. Their tofu is really fresh and you can tell it's homemade and their specialty as their tofu comes in black tofu, carrot tofu version in addition to the standard white version. I love how they provide the different types of tofu in my tofu ramen soup. The falling tofu was really good too. Slightly breaded, crisp on outside with soft tofu inside and the delicious (sweet and sour) sauce from the mushroom topping round up the dish perfectly. We were also surprise with their banchan that comes with a beef/meat side dish. Never seen that at other Korean restaurants before. Lastly the kimchi pancake has a good nice crispyness to the texture but could use more kimchi & stronger, bolder taste that I get from one of my other fav establishment in Milpitas.
