Doubt I'll be back for several reasons: 1. tiny skewers, expected more meat on them. It was definitely tasty, well seasoned, just need to order a lot to get full. 2. very loud singers. Truly beautiful voices but cound not hear even myself when speaking. Service was alright.

The little skewers are indeed little and their mega ones are just the normal sizes. They taste decent but I don't think it's great value for the cost. The unexpected favorite dish out of the meal was their "cold noodles" which wasn't noodles at all. I was told this place typically has a wait but if you come right when they open, it's not a problem.

Came here for late night skewers at around 10:15 pm with friends! Ordering is done via a tablet provided to each table. First time I've seen so many alcohol shots offered in the way they do here. We ordered cauliflower, pork, beef, squid, chicken, and wagyu beef skewers. The one wagyu beef skewer option was much larger than the batches of regular skewers. The skewers are definitely representative of the restaurant's name. Enoki mushroom hot plate was topped with a plentiful amount garlic. Cucumber salad was enough for all of us to share. Staff was attentive and refilled our teapot whenever it was empty. Will be back to get our late night skewers fix!

My new favorite skewer spot! Chewers were not too oily , perfectly seasoned Would skip out on the egg/sauge/veggie roll Mala soup was really good! Raw surf claws was okay liked the texture but needed more sauce or something to make this dish stand out Oysters 5/5 Service was really good Cute Chinese decor inside

This review should've been posted earlier, but this is my go to spot for Chinese skewers :) Food: The menu is pretty diverse. My favorites are the premium marbled beef, pork belly, and cauliflower. Both meats are always very soft and easy to bite off the skewer. Be warned though, pretty much everything here has the same seasoning/can be salty and the meat is small (these aren't big kebabs or anything), so you're out of luck if you don't like strong cumin flavor or are expecting big yakitori style skewers. The restaurant is called LITTLE SKEWER for a reason! I think to accompany the skewers, you definitely need to get the malatang pot. It's filled with glass noodles, different types of fish cake, sausage, thinly sliced beef, Napa cabbage, and the soup is nice and numbing. I don't know if it's because I was really hungry but this was so good and I'll be ordering it every time I come back. Service: Service here is good. The servers are friendly and even played games with some customers when I was there. The skewers also come out relatively quickly. Restaurant/cleanliness: the restaurant itself is themed well like you're in an ancient Chinese drama. I've never had this issue before but I guess some rice had gotten stuck to our water cups and I only saw that as I was about to drink. There was also some sponge piece that had gotten stuck to the soup ladle we were given. The servers were really apologetic about that.

Honestly, this place wasn't too bad. Price wasn't too crazy for a skewer place, albeit i haven't been to many skewer spots. Only downside that made me dock off two stars is because of the amount of meat that were on each skewers. I would have personally liked less skewers but with a fatter portion of meat in it. The small amount of meat made them all pretty dry. My friend and i ended up getting the following skewers: lamb, marbled beef, chicken, a choy and cauliflower. Honestly i hate to say but the cauliflower was probably our favorite with how tasty and flavorful it was. All the meat skewers were pretty dry until you start ordering the single sticks with the more premium meat, which we got two lamb ones. Not bad but not great either. We got the corn cheese and that was pretty decent. Service was pretty good. Everything came out pretty quickly and there was no wait when we came for dinner on a monday at 7:30p. Place has a decent amount of parking space, shared with the other two businesses in the plaza.

Flavorful and delicious skewers but small portions. My friends and I honestly enjoyed the veggie and tofu skewers even more than the beef! The seasonings were more fragrant on those. Looks like great food to pair with some alcohol. Nice and spacious place with fun decorations. The workers don't really attend to you at all.

I went here with my boyfriend and we enjoyed our time there. It wasn't busy during the time that we went, so we got a table immediately. The place was pretty spacious with many tables to sit from. They also have a stage where you can do karaoke! Food(10/10): There's a tablet where you can add your order onto, so I think it's pretty convenient if you don't want to call for a server every time. I think my favorite would be oysters. It tasted pretty fresh and I liked the amount of garlic they added on top of it. The meat was pretty tender and nicely seasoned. The squid was not for me though, but my boyfriend enjoyed it! I just thought it was tough to chew through and rubbery. Service(10/10): Can't really complain about the service. They were really friendly and fast with their service. We didn't wait long for our orders as well! It's also cool they had their napkins and utensils in a drawer hidden within the table! At the end of our dinner, we were given air fresheners which was nice! Overall, I would come here again if I was in the area!

Relative new Chinese restaurant for meat skewers . It is similar to the original restaurant in Newark but it is bigger and more roomy. Each table has your own I pad to place the order . The waiter brings you the cooked skewers and they are kept warm on a heating tray . There is a brass tea cup for cold Water , a bucket to collect the used bamboo shower sticks . Under the table are drawers for napkins, plastic forks and spoons . One on each end of the table . You can add more food in the middle of your meal. Very simple and good are cooked fast . The service is fast and good manner . My favorite skewers are lamb , pork belly , and chicken gizzard. Cooked Napa is $1.99 , good deal for those who like vegetables. Interior decoration is pretty like an ancient Chinese garden . Definitely should come and try this.

The meat quality overall is quite good and has a decent range of cuts. Their chicken skewers across the board were our favorites. Their lamb was ok but the pineapple sausage was juicy and sweet. Do note their cucumber salad has peanuts! I'm sure you can ask for without but something to note. If you're a fan of durian or curious about the durian cheese bread, I would skip it. There's so much cheese that it masks any durian flavor so it just tastes like cheese bread. Service is fast and attentive. They give you a tablet to keep at the table so you can continue to order on your own.

Definitely my new fave spot for skewers. Little Skewer is tucked away in a very small plaza with very limited parking so plan your visit accordingly. We went during a weekday so it wasn't super packed and were seated immediately. The interior decor gives off old-town alleyway eateries and I loved it. We ordered off a tablet, but food took awhile to come out so I recommend trying to order everything you want on the first go. We ordered corn cheese and sliced bread approx. 10 min after our first order and those two came out by the end of the meal. Overall, the skewers and soup were delicious. Some favorites: * Chicken gristle * green beans * chives * chicken gizzard * squid legs * rice noodles in clay pot Will definitely be back!

Another authentic skewer spot I've been wanting to check out for a while in the Bay Area. They offer a wide variety of options, from cold dishes to all kinds of meat, seafood, and vegetable skewers, plus hot dishes like hotpot, malatang, seafood boil, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. We arrived right before opening, and there were already a few groups waiting in line. It definitely got busier during peak hours, so I highly recommend getting there early if you don't want to wait.

I've heard great things about the SoCal location but this didn't live up to the hype. While it's very clean and cute inside, I wasn't satisfied with the food quality. understand it's called "Little Skewer" but why is it smaller than my pinky finger?! Also, everything was just doused in seasoning which made it so salty... and a lot of the skewers were overcooked and dry, which can be very easily done as they're so tiny. The service was ok. They were quick and attentive, but it doesn't justify it for me. I prefer Dynasty or Ace King personally. I don't see myself back here, but it was worth a try.

Though I prefer my food a little bit more flavorful, Ping's Bistro really shot every single flavor up. The Steamed pork belly with preserved vegetables was served first, and without a doubt, is one of the spiciest. It's a good size for sharing, but the preserved vegetables on the bottom was mushy and came in a very small portion. Though supposed to be a part of the dish, seemed to be thrown in just for some extra flavor. Though I selected mild spiciness for the Spicy Boiled Fish, it was still REALLY spicy. Maybe it's my spice intolerance, but this dish lights a fire in your mouth. Also, this dish is mala, so it numbs your mouth. Some people may enjoy this sensation, but it's a pass for me. The fish was really soft and tender though. The fish was my favorite part of the Spicy Boiled Fish. Not only there is fish underneath, it was surprising to see other ingredients like lotus, vermicelli noodles, and much more. The salted egg covered pork was extremely salty and oily. I was surprised to know it was boneless, and I felt like the salted egg crust is too thin, which let the taste of the pork overthrow any type of salted egg taste. The Country Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus was again one of my preferred dishes, though it was extremely oily. I really liked the egg, black fungus, and bell peppers in this dish. The eggs and black fungus were soaked with flavor and the bell peppers balanced out the heaviness. The pork was also alright, but more on the tougher side. If you were to come to Ping's Bistro, I would advise you to order the Country Style Sautéed Pork with Eggs and Black Fungus. The floors were really sticky, but other than that, everything was alright. The water was poured messily, but I guess it's no big thing. The staff were really quiet and avoided interaction. When they serve your dish, they never wait an extra second before they leave for any questions or requests. They just drop the dish and zoom away. From my review, just remember: saltiness. I'm not convinced that I'll come back again, but I'm glad I tried it out.

When you enter and get seated, you will be prompted to go on the url code at the table to pick your items. While I understand that this is the new way for restaurants to serve guests post-covid, the vast menu items you have to scroll through makes me long for physical menus of the past - but that's just my boomer take for the day. There were a bunch of other items like rice and noodle dishes that looked interesting to pair with the meats, but we were only craving bbq so we skipped out on the carbs. We ordered a BUNCH of skewers, from the standard beef, lamb, pork belly to chicken skin and a fried quail. All of the skewers had the same type of dried chili powder spice seasoning mix so unfortunately there wasn't too much of a diversity in flavor profile but on the flip side, it allowed us to focus more on enjoying the meat quality itself (this is where rice or noodles would definitely help cut through the richness). All of the meats were incredibly well-cooked and charred. It is on the drier side, so be aware if you are looking for a juicier, plumper cut of meat that some other restaurants have. Paired with the Chinese vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil, they were super delectable. My personal favorites were the pork belly, chicken skin, and beef. We had some leftovers to go and the staff provided us some extra sauce to go so that's a big plus. Great food here and definitely will be back to try more of the other menu items for the full experience.

They also respected my comment for mild spicy, and it was one of the only times I drank almost all the soup since I did not taste artificial powders or too much white pepper. The Chili Oil noodle was also ordered with mild spice, and the noodles were so chewy and perfect, I can't wait to come back here already! I love the el dente texture of the noodles giving it a bit of chew. My braised pork belly dry noodles was not dry... very watery which was not to my liking. I want my dry noodles with as little gravy as possible. The flavor was light despite all the gravy, but the veggies and one egg made it up. The house special dry noodles had just the right amount of gravy for taste but not enough ingredients. I was wondering why the restaurant is called One Piece... I guess the entire bowl of noodles is one piece noodle as it was hard to eat as all the noodles are tangled. No complaints here just need to be careful with the splashes on your shirt.
