The half hot was just mild hot. The non spicy was really a nice soup base for most anything.

Very clean and great place. Super busy! Always good to get there early. The food is always super fresh and good. We will be a frequent flyer. Yum!

So far the best hotpot in Fremont/Newark area, decent price, good quality food and great service, no wonder it's always long line in weekend. we love the tender beef, pork bone soup, spicy butter broth (mild), fish fillet and especially the $3 self service sauce bar. It's not only sauce bar, it is also appetizers and desserts bar, which is such a deal. There are many appetizers and desserts, all are great. Will come back again to try other menu items.

I truly do not understand the hype. I came around 45 minutes before opening because I heard the lines could be long. Unfortunately, it was not worth the wait. This is the first time I've tried Chengdu/chongqing style hot pot. but I expected the abundance of hot spicy oil. That said, it's truly pure oil no 'broth'. At least, I would not recommend drinking it at all. That aside, my true issue was that the meat quality was extremely subpar - frozen, chewy, and just overall tasted quite grisly. And the subpar quality was across the board, for both hot pot beef slices and the skewers as well. The skewers were especially chewy, and the hot pot meat was previously frozen and very fatty/had a meaty taste. Not high quality for the prices. Everything is a la carte, similar to Haidilao, and for basically Haidilao prices (~50/person), I expected more. Higher quality meat at the very least! Like Haidilao, the side dish bar is extra. The side dish bar is great, and they also have traditional Chinese soup desserts, as well as frozen fried sesame balls. There's also sauces you can choose from, as well as fruit (oranges & grapes). The cumin beef side dish was quite good as well actually. The cold chicken feet was not. Overall, I think this style of hot pot isn't for me as I like being able to sip the broth. If you're okay with just dipping and you like spicy and really oily food, then this is for you. I got the medium spicy and it was decently spicy. I probably wouldn't come again, just not my thing.

We visited for a late dinner ~8:30pm today (Friday night). There were still a lot of people even though it was late. We put our names on the wait list and walked around the plaza ~20 minutes. After we got seated, we placed our orders using the QR code at the table and everything came out quickly. The meats cook fast because they're thin. We also ordered the meat skewers because a lot of tables had them but they were just ok imo (prefer the regular sliced ones more). The sauce bar was *chef's kiss*. I loved the variety of sauces and the fruits were SO sweet. We had a huge bowl of grapes and some orange slices. The sesame balls were also perfectly chewy and soft. I didn't get to try the grass jelly though :( The sauce bar is an additional charge per person. Overall, this place is really good! It reminds me of other premium hot pot like Haidilao. I'll definitely be coming back here again!

First time hot pot for my husband in which my daughter ordered mild and it wasn't even edible. My daughter being young did not want to complain, but it was extremely spicy to the point my husband started choking due to the spice level. I would just hope next time the servers explain that mild is just as hot as spicy, see the photo.

Not just for long men This place was pretty popping on a sat night. We went for their half and half hot pot. The tomato broth was super tomatoey, almost like a light marinara sauce. The spicy butter came with two large blocks of butter in the soup. The veggies were fresh, meat was good quality. They have a lot of the more eccentric offerings, including blood, liver, and intestines. Their appetizers are not bad too, especially the sesame balls. I didn't like how they charged to use the sauce station. Also, the place is poorly ventilated and at some point the fumes from our pots and adjacent pots became overwhelming. Overall, decent spot especially if you like the more eccentric ingredients.

This was my first time eating here, last Friday. Tomato hot pot: I rate it 4.5/5 Mushroom hot pot: My friend rates it 4/5. Fresh beef: You should try the beef and egg platter (as shown in the picture), it's very delicious: 4.5/5. The portion sizes for crab sticks, fish tofu, vegetables, and mushrooms are larger compared to other hot pot places (maybe $7-10 per platter): 4.5/5 The clams at the sauce bar are very tasty and quite popular. The self-service sauce bar costs around $2-$3 per person: 4.5/5. The staff is quick and cheerful: 4.5/5. Overall rating: ~ 4.5/5

New spot when I ate her not new now but a post is a post. The food quality is high but just a tad more pricey than others. I never talk price but then again, we did add wagyu slices. Soup base was yum and overall the food was on point even got some skewers which was yum. Presentation is nice as a whole. Service was good and attentive but not hovering. This is just perfect. Ambiance is open booths which is nice versus privacy booths. There was a line and it seems it gets packed but it is worth it. Versus Happy Lamb it would be a tough call. Happy Lamb for better location and a larger meat selection.

Relatively new mainland-Chinese style hot pot place opened up near the Lion's supermarket. Main note I want to highlight is the wait line to get in, come about 20-30 minutes before they open to guarantee yourself a table once they open otherwise you will be waiting until someone finishes their hotpot. You can imagine most people will take 1.5-2 hours so if you miss the first round at open, you'd be waiting this long! The food is all self-order, much like Haidilao, with a large sauce/appetizer bar. You can take leftovers home since it is already paid for when you order it. Soup base and food is good overall, though I do not think it justifies people waiting hours to get in

The newest hot spot hot pot place in The Bay! I'm not sure if this is a chain place but there are obvious unavoidable comparisons that come to mind once you arrive. For me, Haidilao or LiuYiShou or ShanChengLameizi pop into my head. This place is medium sized but suffers from popularity so there is a wait. However, you can only get in queue at the restaurant by signing in electronically. Fortunately we got there on a Wed evening near opening time so our wait was short! Ordering is thru a QR code scan that opens an online app. Easy enough. Options are broad with a few unique delicacies. The self serve bar does feels like it has a few less options than other places overall. It has the basics of soy sauce, satay, seasame oil/ paste, vinegar, etc. Service is pretty good and quick. Not quite Haidilao but better than average. One eyesore that stands out is the messy hallway at the restrooms where they have a bunch boxes of supplies stacked up. You can't see it from the dining area but when you go there you can't miss it. All in all, is this worth trying out? I'd say, "yes." But try to avoid the long wait time if you can. Avoid peak times like weekends!

Trying this new hotpot restaurant today. Simply love it! We ordered the double soup base. Spicy and pork bone soup base. All the food are very fresh and tasty, tender beef is the best and must order. Sauce station is full of snacks. The best part is the fresh watermelon. So sweet and juicy, perfect for the summer! Service is very friendly. They come to check on the table often. We enjoyed our lunch very much. Will be back soon.

The restroom when I arrived was very smelly which was the biggest downside. 2. Service (5/5): very good and effective. There were two staffs who served in the front. My server was a lady who was very friendly, attentive and helped us to grill our meat, while she was serving many tables around. 3. Food (4/5) 1. Broth: We ordered tom yum broth and house special broth, both of them were very delicious. Though the house special one was little bit spicy for my sister. 2. Meat: we paid extra for USDA beef, $5/person. They were fresh and tender. But I don't recommend BBQ menu here, the meat was too salty and they only had few options. 3. Food conveyor belt: we very enjoyed it. They offered a lot of vegetables, seafoods and mushrooms. Overall: I had a great experience here and highly recommend you guys give it a try.

One of the best parts…read moreabout this spot is that you don't have to choose between KBBQ and hot pot, you can have both, which makes it great for groups with different cravings!! I ordered the Tom Yum broth for the hot pot, which is my go-to, and it did not disappoint. It had a nice balance of tangy and savory flavors and paired well with the ingredients. For the BBQ, I noticed that the marinades and flavors were more bold and intense compared to other places I've been to. It's definitely a bit different from the typical KBBQ spots, but in a good way if you're looking to try something new. Overall, I left very full and satisfied. It's a solid option if you're looking for variety and a flavorful dining experience and with great service.

Hands down the best spicy beef tallow we've ever had in this area & there's a lot of hotpot restaurants here! My husband got the spiciest option and the server was considerate enough to give us a heads up that it might be too spicy lol it was just the right amount of spice for us, we love spicy food! The interior of the restaurant is really nice and modern. They had nice, calm music playing by in the background. The quality of the beef tongue and snowflake short rib was top notch! We love the sauce they have and the free sides there as well!! Overall just an amazing hotpot experience! Definitely check it out!!

There was a lot of open seating so we sat down pretty immediately. We decided to get the two half broth: Cantonese bone broth and mushroom broth. Both broths were very good and fragrant. I enjoyed drinking it. We were given a QR code to scan and order. I was pretty disappointed that there weren't many options to pick from and out of the ones that were on the menu, a lot of them were grayed out. The prices seemed fair initially until the food arrived. The proportions were incredibly little. The angus beef only had 5 slices (though big, you can eat it in one bite). While nothing tasted bad, the value and options made the experience very underwhelming for a whopping $75 for two people. They charge almost $20 for the broth too which I think is unreasonable. Unfortunately I don't think I'd come back even though everything tasted great due to the price point when I can go to a similar restaurant and get more for my value with similar/about-the-same taste

Don't let the fair pricing fool you, it is a really nice restaurant!! The interior is incredibly clean & well maintained, it's a whole experience having dinner there. After dinner (if you have children, this is key) they give you a scoop of ice cream, which is included with your dinner / lunch. I took my little daughter there once, for lunch, during daddy-daughter day. She REALLY enjoyed it. They have great meat options & the noodles, vegetables, etc - you go grab yourself, buffet style. So you go load a plate with whatever you'd like to add to your cook pot, along with the meat. They have little soft boiled quail eggs that you can add to your pot - HIGHLY recommend!! They have, if I recall, 4 or 5 different soup bases to choose from. I've had three thus far & they have all been incredibly good. PLEASE NOTE - the spicy one is no joke, I am a spicy food connoisseur & I will admit, even on my "0-10" scale, that red spicy soup base was easily an 8. Interestingly enough albeit very spicy, the red soup base has excellent flavor; in other words it's not just pure pain & terror & capsaicin overdose... It's spicy AND very flavorful. Give these guys a try!! We will definitely be returning, although this has to be more of a quarterly thing. As eating hot pot with little kids is NOT easy for parents - constantly making sure they don't spill boiling soup on themselves. What we did was asked for a bowl / plate; so we could serve the children the various meats, noodles, vegetables after they were cooked... Also to prevent the children from sticking spoons into a vigorously boiling pot. (SAFETY NOTE - the cook pots are directly in the table, built-in cooktops. So be vigilant with small children. The wait staff will give you a tutorial on how to increase/decrease the heat on the burner and/or how to shut it off when you're done cooking. Aside from my concern of the children burning themselves, it is an EXCELLENT experience for kids nevertheless).
