We love The food here. They can adjust the spicy level , our kids can enjoy the meal here too.

Had a wonderful experience at Ping's Bistro! The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and everything was fresh and flavorful. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was very nice and comfortable. Definitely recommend this place! We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely be coming back.

The stir-fried beef was absolutely delicious! It was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed the dish and would definitely come back to try more of the menu. Great food and a lovely experience overall!

We are a party of 13, and the food and service are pretty good! We have ordered more than 20 dishes and everyone likes. 5 start recommend!

Husband and Wife Lung Slices (not really lung) and Pork Belly with Preserved Vegetables and Mantou
    Scott S.

Thinking back on my delicious dinner at Ping's Bistro in Fremont, two things stand out for me: the delicious food, and the heat level. We ordered a variety of dishes, and all of them were fantastic. As my friend mentioned, a little bit saucier than you'd typically find in China, but still good. And we ordered everything extra spicy. The "Premium stir-fried beef with yellow peppers (with broth, Angus beef with brisket fat)" was a great saucy start to the meal, it had a nice sour flavor to go with the mild-medium heat and was very fresh tasting. "Husband and Wife Lung Slices" was good, standard and a smidge oily, but tasty. The tendons (there are no lungs, just beef and beef tendons) were cooked nicely, with just a hint of chew but tender. Again mild-medium "Stone Pot Flavored Frog" is where things started to get really good. This was one of the best dishes of the night, and the best frog I've ever had. So tender, with a nice crispy exterior, and so much flavor. This was delicious. If you've never tried frog, this is the one to get. A nice break from the heat was "Braised Pork Belly with Preserved Mustard Greens". I was told that this was a bit leaner than what you'd expect in China, but for me the meltingly soft, rich pork belly and chewy greens made into little mantou-tacos was great. It has a nice sweet/sour flavor and zero heat. Now, by far the spiciest dish we ordered was "Double Pepper Chicken Noodles". Delicious noodles, fresh chilies, great almost crispy texture from the wok, but this was firmly in medium-hot category. Everyone started to sweat and get runny noses eating this one. But the flavor was addictive. Some notes - the parking lot is big, but you may have to walk a bit. This is because this restaurant on a Saturday night was absolutely packed. I came around 6:30 and there were 9 tables on the waitlist ahead of me. I wouldn't say it moved quickly, and the area to wait in is cramped. So best bet is to come early or go wait somewhere else. They have an online waitlist that sends a text when your table is ready, so there's no need to stick around being jostled by people entering and exiting. Service was efficient. My friend ordered (in Mandarin) so I didn't follow what was happening, but the food arrived very hot and very quickly, and they nicely pack up your leftovers themselves. Overall - fantastic. I found some new favorites, had some good versions of things I already like, and while it certainly isn't cheap it was worth it. Oddly enough they added an 18% tip automatically. Fair enough, I would normally tip 20% for dinner but if 18% works I'm not complaining. Unfortunately the location isn't convenient for me and the food would be a bit challenging for most of my friends, so I probably won't be back soon. But anyone who wants some authentic and spicy and interesting Chinese dishes would be happy coming here.

I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately it wasn't my favorite compared to some other places in the area. My friend and I were looking forward to the intestines but unfortunately they don't make it anymore. We diverted and ended up getting mapo tofu, pork belly, and chogqing chicken. There wasn't that extra kick that I feel like most other Hunan places may have. Service was good. They were attentive to refilling water and gave us or check quickly when we asked for it. The place is also quite clean, spacious, and looks nice. There's a parking lot up front as well.

The foods taste amazing and it hit the spot I've never try this kind of meals The service was a top notch and provided everything we asked for The foods came out fast as well too even though we ordered a lot for party of 20 The ambience inside was pretty good Not that much noise and sounds Would recommend and come back again!!!

My friends and I came for a late lunch around 1 PM. After ordering, all four dishes arrived extremely quickly--within about 5 to 10 minutes. We ordered the Chongqing-Style Spicy Chicken, sautéed eggplant with string beans, steamed pork belly with preserved vegetables, and the boiled spicy fish fillet with pickled cabbage. Overall, the food was delicious. Our surprise favorite was the eggplant dish. As you'll see in the photo, the spicy chicken looks buried under chili peppers, but there's actually a generous amount of chicken underneath. A solid Chinese spot--slightly on the pricier side, but worth it if you're looking to treat yourself.

    Did the restaurant recently move?

They should still be at the same location, I just saw them last week. But they did recently open a second location.

Do they have gluten free dish or menu?

The spicy tripe dish should be gluten free.

I wanna book a table (7-8 people) for tmr night at 7:00pm. But no one answers the phone. Is that a wrong num?

I dont know, sorry. This place tends to run very much like its sitting in China. So, you might be better off just dropping by to ask. Otherwise you will be sitting outside for quite a while where there is no seating.

Pearl Bay has high ceilings and a gigantic screen, and it seems like a lot of wedding banquets take place here. They have a hot deal weekday special that's $488 for a table of 10-12, and it was a lot of food. I think they limit it to a few tables a night. Service was not bad - they refilled ice water multiple times, which was surprising for a Chinese restaurant. That said, it would have been nice if they had actually announced what dishes we were getting. The menu included: - Chicken soup - Stir fried beef with vegetables - Cold marinated chicken and geoduck - Fish maw with pea sprouts and shiitakes - Fried egg tofu - Steamed fish - Twin lobsters with vermicelli - Suckling pig with steamed buns - Fried rice The highlight was the fish roe fried rice: great texture and flavor. Other things were variable in flavor. For example, the lobster was good, but the vermicelli texture and flavor were lacking. The banquet menu we got was good value and was more than enough food. I am definitely interested in trying their weekend dim sum.

We started with the One Piece Mixed Salad (tofu skin, vermicelli noodles, woodear mushrooms, carrots, celery, seaweed, and peanuts, all mixed in a savory, acidic, and spicy dressed ) and the Shredded Potato Salad, both of which made for nice appetizers. We also had the Cold Skin Noodles (Liangpi), a bowl of wide, chewy noodles mixed with a savory sauce and topped with tofu puffs, shredded cucumber , bean sprouts, and a creamy sesame sauce. Hailing from Xi'an, the Braised Pork Pita Burger was fatty pieces of pork braised in a savory sauce, served in a dry round of "pita," but even better was the Spicy Cumin Lamb Pita Burger, which contained a tantalizingly spicy, flavorful filling of tender spiced lamb. The Signature Beef Bone Noodle Soup came with noodles in a simple broth, topped with three bone-in beef ribs. The meat on the ribs was rather tough and sinewy, and the soup on the bland side, but the presentation of the dish was definitely impressive. Finally, the House Special Braised Dry Noodle was a bowl of noodles topped with a savory sauce with lots of different dried ingredients including tofu, s mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and red bell peppers. For each noodle dish, you could select from a variety of noodles, but my favorite by far was the 2cm "General Wide" noodles, which had an amazing chewy texture. Overall, this was a great restaurant for authentic Northern Chinese noodle dishes and other eats. Everything came out from the kitchen in just minutes after we ordered. The tasty dishes came at a good value, and the service was super friendly too!

There seems to have some menu change since the last time we came. We ordered 2 dry noodles and a cold spicy pig ears appetizer. The pig ears were piled up with no fillers - something hard to find these days. You can select the type of noodles so I picked the widest while my husband picked the middle one. I love the el dente texture of the noodles giving it a bit of chew. My braised pork belly dry noodles was not dry... very watery which was not to my liking. I want my dry noodles with as little gravy as possible. The flavor was light despite all the gravy, but the veggies and one egg made it up. The house special dry noodles had just the right amount of gravy for taste but not enough ingredients. I was wondering why the restaurant is called One Piece... I guess the entire bowl of noodles is one piece noodle as it was hard to eat as all the noodles are tangled. No complaints here just need to be careful with the splashes on your shirt. Overall the food was good, service was decent as we were offered actual menu instead of only using QR code to order. The place was not small with plenty of table. A bit noise as with all Chinese restaurants.

My partner was especially excited to try the fried rice. He put some on his plate and ate about half of it before I asked to try some. I immediately became concerned and looked it up, then smelled the rice and noticed a very sour, unpleasant smell. Unfortunately, my partner ended up feeling sick afterward, which made the experience even more concerning. The XLB was still good, and I did enjoy that. However, the spicy wontons were disappointing. The wonton wrappers seemed to have absorbed a lot of the oil from the spicy sauce, making them taste very starchy, heavy, and oily rather than flavorful. It's disappointing because I really enjoyed my first visit and was looking forward to becoming a returning customer. The smell and texture of the rice are something I honestly cannot get out of my head.
