Solid 3.5 Limited selection of food items on the conveyor belt, customer service was good, and restaurant was clean and spacious.

I genuinely think this is one of the most underrated all you can eat hot pot and grill spots in the area. I'm surprised it isn't talked about more because I was honestly really impressed during my visit! The biggest standout for me was the barbecue. The meats tasted noticeably different from other AYCE spots I've tried, and I'm almost certain it comes down to the marinade. The flavor was deeper and more balanced, and it didn't have that overly salty or generic taste that some AYCE places can have. Everything felt well seasoned and intentional, and you can really taste the difference. The meats were tender and cooked beautifully on the grill! The hot pot was also enjoyable and added another layer to the meal. We ordered both the tom yum and miso soup bases, which paired well with the ingredients we chose. There was also a good selection of sides and add ons that helped round out the whole experience so it didn't feel repetitive. It's on a conveyor belt too! Another thing I appreciated was the service. The employees were very nice and attentive, always checking in to make sure we had what we needed and clearing plates quickly so the table never felt crowded. Overall this was a really solid experience and definitely a place I would come back to if I'm craving both hot pot and barbecue in one meal.

Glad we found a safe/solid hot pot spot in the East Bay, especially for lunch! Pretty unassuming from the outside and frigid on the inside, plenty of seating and multiple revolving belts with veggies, noodles, seafood, etc. We went with the Prime AYCE lunch option for $30/person just to try the different wagyu options. The faves were Australian and then American, but all the meats were fine. Love the extensive sauce bar and the hot food options! People LOVE the chicken wings especially when it's fresh and hot from the fryer. We also love a free soda refill. Service was managed by two staff during the lunch hour so it can be hard to order meats through them when it's busy. We'll definitely be coming back!

Been wanting to try a new hot pot place with my friend and this place did not disappoint. I love how all the veggies and add ins are easily brought to your table and you don't have to get up. The only time I got up was to get any sauces and any appetizers. After we were seated we didn't realize that you had to scan a QR code to order, so that would have been nice if the hostess would have told us that. I would say that after you order more meet the servers tend to bring it out pretty slow so make sure to wave down a server to ensure that it's being brought out. The place was pretty empty when we arrived and by the time we left it was packed! We spent about 1.5 hours here. The tables and everything was very clean and organized. Overall, the quality of the meat and veggies were very good. We got the classic meats and we both agreed that it was perfect and we didn't need anything special.

I loved the service and everything fresh, they need the seafood to be less frozen but it's my only but, I loved the atmosphere and the service very good!

First time. Lots of parking. My friend used Waze for gps direction and it took her to the ranch 99 side which was at the other side of the plaza from the restaurant. That was abit odd. Came for Friday lunch. We got the Prime menu 29.99. But honestly I think 24.99 classic menu was good enough as the Australian Wagyu cut was abit too thin. The spicy beef also was too thin and small it disintegrated once it hit the pot. I didn't try the bbq but I hope the same cut is not used for bbq. Lots of hot food option. The dessert is even a plus. Other than the thin meat, everything else here was great. Service was pretty fast also.

Came here on a Monday afternoon, and the place was almost empty. We ordered the miso and tom yum broths. The miso broth was quite flavorful, almost as if a generous amount of miso paste was used. The tom yum broth was just okay, nothing particularly memorable. The sauce bar was decent, but the fried items next to it looked like they may have been sitting out since the morning. Given the time we visited, we chose to ignore them. When comparing this spot to Seapot, we noticed the ingredient selection was more limited, and the meat portions were noticeably smaller, about half of what we typically get at Seapot. Overall, the restaurant was clean and the service was fine, but for a conveyor-belt hot pot experience, Seapot remains our go-to.

You really feel like you're at seaworld.

Conveyor belt hot pot. Ok, i see where this is going. Not a bad idea, tasty too. Its pretty much an AYCE hot pot place, with a conveyor belt twist. You start by ordering your individual broth. Then order your first round of meat. You pick out your plates of food off the conveyor belt. There are appetizers and sauce bar near the front. Pretty great concept. They have lots of nice seafood option you typically dont see in other hot pot buffet places, so props to them. The wait staff were super friendly. The decor is cool but just a little over the top with the large aquarium projector. Overall, i recommend it. I dont see AYCE hot pot places sticking around a lot. They seem to have a high turnover rate, so better check this place out why they're still going strong!

Honestly for price during happy hour it's pretty worth it. Came during a week day and service was pretty minimal but fast. The hotpot itself was average but for that price it was pretty worth it. There's also a conveyor belt for the sides and they got a sauce bar as well. Place looks like a minimal bbq and hotspot place for real tho.

Fast service and very attentive, got our soup and meat in a timely manner. The place was 75-80% full on a Sunday evening around 6. Great selection of items from vegetables to seafoods on the belt. A little dark inside, would be better if you play some k pops instead of year 2000 Chinese karaoke vibe

Spicy and regular broth. Both excellent

This is my family's favorite hot pot and for very good reason. The services is good. The food is always fresh and phenomenal. We love that the pots are individual now so we get exactly the soup we each want.

Came on a Saturday afternoon around 5pm and were seated right away. Service was on point at first, very attentive then as it got busier we rarely saw our server to order more meats. Servers do come around and help watch your bbq do you don't burn the food. One lady server had a stank attitude when we kept ordering more food, like what do you expect we're at an all you can eat place. Food was alright. I like the concept of the conveyer belt and grabbing what you want at your seat, but there weren't many options. We were sitting in the middle and you could tell each belt had different options and were not consistent. At one time we waiting 15 min for a server to come by and take our order just for them to forget most of it when they dropped off the meats. We opted for the premium meat and all you can eat bbq which was worth it when they actually came around. Meats and soup bases were flavorful. Interior is large with lots of tables and seemed clean. The sauce bar was well stocked and the appetizers and desserts were a nice touch.

Honestly, not bad at all if you ignore the vibe. Their dinner food option was great when I went. Lots of variety available from the conveyer belt - not as many leafy greens as I'd hope but the other options were good. I'd skip on upgrading the meat option next time since the only meat I liked was the one included in the base price. The wagyu quality was a bit disappointing. Quality of the conveyor belt ingredients was good though. The ambiance felt a bit run-down. It was giving the vibe of an "old, long running restaurant where the servers don't care about service/how the place look". Some of their stoves were malfunctioning, and the QR codes were already peeling off from the table. The lighting was dark (not in a romantic way). There were some flies near the sauce bar. I smelled smoke occasionally (someone was probably smoking near the restaurant - it tripped me out at first because I thought something was burning). They also didn't let us keep a physical menu, but it's alright since we only had one meat we wanted to reorder for the hotpot. The organization of their appetizers and sides was interesting, but they had oxtail!! The oxtail was surprisingly flavorful. Too bad they never refilled it after it ran out. The desserts were also pretty good even though it might not look appetizing.

Does this place open on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day?

    Are they open Thanksgiving?

Hi yes! We open on Thanksgiving day!

Would this place be able to serve a group of 10 ?the table setup looks like it may not

We have tables for 6 and 8 people. Usually 10 people need 2 tables combined

Looking at the picture of the menu, there is some charge for extra pot. what does the extra pot mean? since this is AYCE, shouldn't the extra broth be included in the price? are we allowed to choose only 1 broth per table?

It is for an additional extra pot. like physically.. an extra one... like for a different broth or something. No, not 1 broth per table.. it is 1 broth per person.

Do they have noodles for the hot pot?

Yes they do... on the conveyor belt

What is on the lunch menu vs dinner?

For prices, lunch is $24.99 and dinner is $32.99

Does the weekday lunch have the same food as dinner?

No. there is more choices in the dinner

    Are there vegetarian options?

Legend Hotpot is an AYCE hot pot restaurant. What you cook in your hot pot is what you eat. I don't see they have the price for veggies hot pot. I'm sure you can pick up veggies only without ordering any meats. But I guess you'll have to pay the… Read more

Perfect char, juicy meat, and great texture on the patty. I also really enjoyed the potato bolani. Crispy bread and creamy potato. Huge portion. What's not to love! Had free chutney at the table. The slow cooked lamb in the pallow was fall-off-the bone. However, not too much meat. Mantu was a skip for me. Meat inside was delicious and sauces and wrapper worked, but not special compared to other dishes, especially since lentils were a little undercooked. Doogh as a drink isn't up my alley, but paired with the heavy meat dishes well.

They were a little disorganized, but the decor and vibes were very homey. Their portions are fairly large, and overall the food was pretty decent, although not all of the dishes were my cup of tea I will say. This was my first time having Afghanan cuisine, so take what I say here in my review with a grain of salt. I rounded up because the food was pretty tasty and filling, but wasn't super impressed by the overall experience. So, to me, flavor and quality of the food is more important than the overall experience with the staff and vibes of the space. I would have given a 3.5/5 if I could. Food: 4/5 A friend mentioned that this is his family's go to spot for some of the most authentic Afghan food, so this is what I am basing the rest of this review on. We ordered Triple Kabob Murgh, Teka and Chaplee Kabob, Quabili Pallow, Mantu, Aushak, Sabzi Challow, Kado Borani, and Doogh. The kabob meats were all seasoned differently and were very tender, but everything else had a very similar palate to each other. Everything was fairly tasty, and the lamb wasn't too gamey, which I appreciated. If you try the Doogh yogurt drink, know that it is sour and an acquired taste, my friends said it wasn't good until they ate some food along side it. Staff/Space: 3.5/5 The staff wasn't the most friendly nor did they really come to check on us. The guy just took the order and brought our order and that was the only real interactions we had with the staff. The space in general was super homey and very much set for cozy family vibes. There is a decent amount of space inside and outside to accommodate for various party sizes. There is only street parking, which is not super convenient.

My family and I, two adults and two young children, came here during Ramadan for iftaar. Before arriving, I specifically called ahead to ask whether we needed to come early because I understood restaurants can become very busy during iftaar time. I was told that arriving 10 to 15 minutes before iftaar would be perfectly fine and that our food would be ready around the time of breaking fast. Based on that reassurance, we came about 20 minutes before iftaar expecting a smooth experience. Instead, the moment we walked in, it felt like we were invisible. The restaurant was crowded but not chaotic. We sat down and waited while servers walked past us repeatedly without acknowledging us. Eventually, I had to flag someone down myself just to place an order. I even asked directly how long the food would take because we were fasting all day and had two small children with us. The server confidently assured us the food would arrive around iftaar time. That never happened. When iftaar finally arrived, all we received were dates and water. No appetizers, no main dishes, nothing. We continued waiting while table after table around us received their food. Meanwhile, our children became increasingly upset and hungry. Anyone with young kids knows that after a full day of fasting, asking them to wait another 20, 30, even 50 minutes is nearly impossible. Our kids were crying, exhausted, and confused as they watched other families eat while we sat there with empty plates. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of honesty and accountability. Every time we asked about our order, we were told, "It's coming soon." Then eventually the server disappeared entirely for nearly 20 minutes and avoided us altogether. A woman later approached us, but instead of apologizing or taking our concerns seriously, she became dismissive and defensive. By this point, nearly 50 minutes had passed since we ordered, and she still insisted we "shouldn't complain" (in Farsi) because the food would come "soon." That response was honestly more upsetting than the delay itself. A simple apology, honesty, or basic compassion toward a fasting family with small children would have gone a long way. We eventually left the restaurant feeling humiliated, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. What saddened me most is that this happened during Ramadan, a month centered around patience, generosity, hospitality, and good character. In Afghan culture and Islamic ethics, guests are supposed to be treated with dignity and care, especially during iftaar. Halal is not only about the food being permissible. Halal is also about honesty, fairness, respect, and how people are treated. Sadly, this restaurant failed in all of those areas. We will never return, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for respectful service or a welcoming family environment.

We paid in full for the food and services, including taxes, yet during the event we were pressured to pay the remaining balance in cash so they could avoid reporting taxes properly. This was highly unprofessional. We were also promised full service from start to finish, which I was already charged for, but the person I signed the contract with stayed for only about 30 minutes before leaving. Later, she claimed they had two other large events with 300 guests each to manage at the same time, something we were never informed about beforehand. Instead of taking responsibility, she belittled my event by saying ours was "only" 100 guests, which was extremely disrespectful. To make matters worse, the catering staff took all of the leftover food from an event serving over 30 guests without notifying us. Because of this, we had no food left for our after-party guests. One of my family members even asked for a refill during the event, and the staff refused to serve him more food, despite the fact that we had already paid for the catering. Overall, the communication, professionalism, and customer service was unacceptable. I would not recommend this business to anyone looking for reliable and respectful catering services for an important event. Edit: The owner responded back to this review but they made some inaccurate statements. First, regarding the remaining balance: it was mutually agreed that the remaining payment would be collected in cash at the Tracy location one week prior to the event. However, due to time management issues on the business' side, specifically involving the owner's daughter, Wahida, that arrangement was never fulfilled. Despite this, I personally contacted the management team multiple times to coordinate a date, time, and location to complete the payment before the wedding. Since no proper coordination happened, I accommodated their request and paid the remaining balance at the event itself in full cash. Additionally, I find it very concerning that the business claimed leftover food was left with the bride's "brother and son." This statement is completely FALSE. The bride does not even have children yet, and no remaining food was left behind for the family. Considering that I paid the full per-person catering cost, along with an 18% service charge and delivery fee, it is completely reasonable to ask about the remaining food that was already paid for. What made this experience even more disappointing was the unprofessional communication I received afterward. After posting my review, I received a call from Fazila Q, the business owner. While I was trying to calmly explain the situation, her daughter, Wahida, repeatedly interrupted the conversation and rudely stated, "You are the first Afghan who is asking about the food, I am a business woman." I found this comment disrespectful, dismissive, and highly unprofessional toward a paying customer. Ironically, when I paid the remaining balance in cash, I did not have exact change for the final $62 balance, and Wahida insisted that I immediately send the $62 through Zelle. If prompt payment and exact balances were so important on their side, then it should also be understandable why a customer would ask about food that was fully paid for. I believe reviews should reflect the complete and accurate experience, including the communication, professionalism, and accountability shown before, during, and after the event.
