My first experience was Taishoken, and I maintain that it's trash. Fundamentally, my issue with the dish is that the cold noodles mix with the hot dipping sauce, creating a lukewarm final product. I prefer my food to either be hot or cold. Not really the middle. Shugetsu solves this by offering hot noodles. Dip your steaming hot noodles into the scalding dipping sauce for a delicious experience. Another busted thing about this place is that, for the same price, you can get any size portion of noodles. Fellow members of value town would be tempted to get the XL for maximum value. It's definitely enough noodles for 2 meals! Finally, I also highly recommend their Aburasoba. It's a delicious dry mixing ramen that reminds me almost of Mongolian bbq. The meat is so tender and scrumptious.
