Wadaya is located in the same plaza as 99 Ranch Market, two doors down from Phin Cafe. Parking is plentiful. We came on a Saturday right when they opened at 11am and got seated right away. We ordered.. CHICKEN KARAAGE $10 -wadaya style fried chicken. Homemade red sauce, kale, sesame seeds. We asked for the red sauce on the side since we had our toddler with us. It came out super hot, crispy batter with tender brown meat chicken. I'm glad we got the red sauce on the side since it was made of gochuchang..which I'm not a fan of. When the chicken cooled, it seemed to be kinda dry. They had a 30% off deal for this dish so we only had to pay $7, nice. 3/5* TAKOYAKI L.A. STYLE (4) $8.50 -japanese mayo, takoyaki sauce and bonito flakes. Crispy outside, melty inside. Wish there was more octopus! There was mostly batter. Flavors were good though. 4/5* IKAGESO (4) $8 -fried squid legs, japanese mayo, lemon wedge. Came out super crispy, squid legs were tender. Pretty fresh but simple. 3.5/5* TOKYO MAZEMAN $17 -spicy minced pork, poached egg, scallions, chives, minced garlic, fish umami, seaweed. The noodles were super thickkkk. Flavor wise, I wasn't a fan...it was pretty one note. I tried to add vinegar but it didn't do anything for me. They gave me a small scoop of white rice to mix into the leftover sauce but I didn't end up finishing my noodles.. 2/5* Service was very friendly and attentive. I appreciated how they took the time to explain everything. I just wasn't a fan of the foooood.

Tried the fried squid legs and shishito peppers . The deluxe was very large and just the right kick. I'd love to come back and try other items.

Wadaya is always solid! We got the Agedashi Tofu to start and I got the Curry Mazemen as my main. If you're unfamiliar, Agedashi Tofu is lightly deep-fried tofu served in a hot, savory broth. It's one of my personal favorite appetizers! The Curry Mazemen was delish! It features spicy minced pork, curry powder, kale, poached egg, scallions, minced garlic, fish umami, and seaweed flakes. Mix all of this goodness together and slurppp! After you've finished your noodles, they give you a small scoop of rice to enjoy with the leftover sauce- kind of like a porridge. So good.

Servers are very attentive and communicative about your order and everything! The dry ramen was delicious. I got the mentaiko mazeman and the sauce was so rich and had lots of yummy toppings like the Hello Kitty naruto. They give you a small ~1/4 cup of rice to mix with your leftover sauce. Great experience and will be back!

Found a new ramen place and decided to try them out in fremont. This restaurant has a nice front and decor inside. They even have a wall where you can take pictures of. Service was pretty good and they were pretty attentive. When they gave me the menu they explained to me what they are known for which is the mezamen which is dry ramen. Since I wanted soup I went with their california tonkutsu with black garlic oil. I also ordered their hello kitty fish cake with chili oil and I highly recommend it. The california tonkutsu was actually really good and the broth was very tasty. I recommend trying their vinegar on the pork. The vinegar wasn't overwhelming it had a good kicked to it so atleast try it out. I also had their hokkaido milk mille crepe. Really nice texture and not sweet at all so I try out the dessert. All in all good food and good customer service. I would definitely return to try their dry ramen.

Dry ramen anyone? Luckily it wasn't too busy when my friend and I arrived here for dinner on a weekend. It was my back up plan. I originally had another place in mind but they were closed. This place was in my bookmarks and wanted to try it out. My friend said she had been here before and love how it's always consistent and good. Menu is straight forward and easy to follow. Thoughts? Generous portions for the price. Very filling and rich in flavor. Prompt and attentive service. Nice chewy noodles. Lots of meat in my bowl. Two types of eggs. They give you a side of rice to soak up all the meaty leftovers. I think I like a similar specialized restaurant in San Mateo more because of the type of noodles but this place is decent. I would come back!

Finally had a chance to try WADAYA. This restaurant is located inside a busy plaza in Fremont (this used to be where TEA SIX was located). Small space; very clean and limited seating. After much hype, was craving ramen -- something soup based, decided to try WADAYA with my family. There was a line waiting outside. As it's my first time, I was told to check in and add our name to the kiosk by the front door. The staff at the time of check in said it would be roughly 10-15 mins wait time. As 15 minutes had passed, I checked in with the staff and was told that it would be an additional 20-25 minutes wait time. After waiting for 30 minutes; I got a notification that our table was ready. Would have loved for the staff to be more organizes for check in and long wait times. A small selection on their menu but the Ramen was worth the wait. Very fresh and delicious broth. Appetizers were okay; didn't try the desserts. Would recommend the ramen and would return in the future.

My family and I came here on a Sunday night, and it is the best mazemen that we've had. Their mazemen has an authentic Japanese flavor that many restaurants don't do right, and Wadaya just hits the spot. The appetizers are amazing. We got the takoyaki, chicken karaage, and ikageso. I would recommend all three. Now for the dessert which deserves its own paragraph. We ordered the Hokkaido Milk Crepe Cake, and wow! It blends in the perfect amount of milky/creamy flavor of Hokkaido milk into a delicate crepe cake. It's a must get here. We also had the Yuzu Cheesecake. I love the hint of yuzu on a creamy cheesecake, and it comes with a scoop of ice cream. It's so refreshing after an amazing bowl of mazemen. Lastly, the service. A1 customer service from everyone! Our waters were always filled. We even got our bowl of rice for the mazemen without even needing to ask. We felt the care that comes with every meal and the care for each customer who dines here. We will absolutely be coming back.

I have been wanting to try this place for a couple of weeks. I was at the Ranch 99 shopping center and here was Wadaya! My partner never wants Ramen and I'm happy to say we will be eating more Ramen and Mazemen! Service is excellent! Michael was so informative and in tune with our needs. So happy Wadaya has converted my other half into a ramen fan. We had the karage for an appetizer and the Saitama Mazemen and the California Tonkatsu Ramen. Next time we will try the Curry Mazemen and everything else on the menu! Restaurant and restroom are super clean. I want some of those cats that are on the toilet ! You have to go see what I'm talking about! Oh forgot to mention, we got a slice of Hokkaido crepe cake to go. I'm glad we did because I would have eaten the whole cake! It was amazing!!!! Crispy creamy heaven. ORDER DESSERT! If you are full, take it to go. You'll thank me later!

Came on a Sunday around 11:30am and was seated right away. Wadaya has a bright, chill, and cozy vibe, and I was excited to see a mazemen spot open up in the East Bay. Service was quick, attentive, and friendly. The servers came by about three times to refill our waters, which I really appreciated. They also gave a thorough explanation of how to best enjoy the mazemen, which was helpful if it's your first time trying it. What I ordered: Deluxe Mazemen - This was a lot of food and super filling! The noodles had a great chew and everything was well seasoned. I highly recommend adding the sesame and vinegar from the table. It adds another layer of flavor and really elevates the dish. Toward the end, they also give you a side of rice to mix with the leftover sauce, which is a nice touch and makes sure none of that flavor goes to waste. 5/5 Overall, great service, cozy atmosphere, and a satisfying mazemen experience. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu .

Wadaya is relatively new and seems like it still has a lot of room to grow, but honestly from what I experienced there isn't much they need to change. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the whole visit feel welcoming. The food was great--everything tasted fresh and well prepared. Overall it was a really solid experience. If they keep things the way they are, I can definitely see this place becoming a local favorite. I'd happily come back again. BB

Our first time here! Authentic experience with a Japanese chef. The fried chicken and squid were super fragrant and crispy. Delicious noodles, too--pro tip: pour the rice into the soup at the end, it's amazing! Friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere.

My first time to eat mezemen was in Kyoto and this place is just as great. Takoyaki and mille crepe dessert are good as well. It gets pretty busy on Friday night.

It's a small place, but they were able to position all the tables and chairs so that there's room to move around. Ordering was convenient. We were able to scan the menu at our table and paid quickly remotely. Our food came out on a timely manner. We were able to try the Clam ramen, Hinodeya ramen, and the Tonkatsu. They were all delicious and very much to our liking. Presentation is something i noticed they take pride in. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted promptly, the decorations on the front entrance is what lured us in. The tables all had a tiny lamp that you can turn on and off. All the servers were wearing coordinated attire with the restaurant logo on it. They were all attentive to our needs and constantly filled up our water and took empty dish away when the table started to feel tight/crowded. All Ramen we tried had the WOW bursting with flavors. I highly recommend this place.

It is very delicious, but if you've had regular tonkotsu ramen before, I highly recommend trying the Kuro or Aka! 5/5 - Kuro Tonkotsu Ramen - The black garlic oil really enhances the tonkotsu flavor in a smoky, umami way. LENT 2026: GOOD FRIDAY LUNCH…read more The first time I ate at Toro Sushi Stone Grill & Bar was the last Saturday of February for my mom's birthday. We had a private room for the party. Out of food that was served I really enjoyed eating the sashimi, which was presented on a platter. I also liked grilled salmon. During Lent I wanted to come back to Toro for lunch. I thought about getting sashimi or grilled salmon when I came back. A couple days before coming to Toro for Good Friday lunch I looked at the menu online. Why pay for the dishes I ate before? One of the dishes that intrigued me was the baked unagi fried rice. However the baked salmon fried rice sounded enticing. Also one of the appetizers sounded interesting was the sashimi pizza. My plan was to order an appetizer and an entree for Good Friday lunch. On Friday when I got a table I looked at the menu. The lunch special listed unagi don. Then I started thinking to myself. Why do I have to eat only fish on Fridays during Lent? Vegetables are permitted during Lent Fridays. I looked at the salad menu and one item intrigued me was the avocado salad. Instead of getting a sashimi pizza for an appetizer I choose avocado salad. Knowing a salad would not be filling I ordered the crispy salmon skin roll. For entree I ordered the unagi don. I'll start with the crispy salmon. A lot of people don't like to eat crispy skin of a fish. I love it. The crispy salmon skin roll is a filling roll due to the sauce, which adds flavor to the rice. Instead of a roll I would like to see crispy skin salmon as an appetizer as it would be similar to a chicharron. Regarding the avocado salad I liked how avocado wasn't skimpy in portion. There's one thing I don't like in salad and that is water. I understand cleaning the lettuce to get rid of the dirt, but the lettuce better be dry instead of water dripping at the bottom on the bowl. I came here for the unagi don. I felt I made a right decision of ordering the unagi don instead of the baked unagi fried rice. With the steamed rice I could taste the eel whereas the fried rice would've overpowered the eel. The unagi don was a filling dish and I believe if I ordered a baked unagi fried rice I would have felt bloated. On this last Friday during Lent I enjoyed my lunch at Toro Sushi Stone Grill and Bar. I liked the sashimi that was served for my mom's birthday party than what I ordered during Good Friday. I can see myself coming here again. Maybe next time I try the stone grill items.
