This place is fantastic. I was in Hayward for work and drove down because of the good reviews. It was 100% worth it. I was by myself but I was seated immediately. Staff was very quick and helpful with questions. There is a cool window where you can see them making the dumplings. I ordered the Thai iced tea, chicken fried rice, beef and broccoli, and pork XLB. There was also something they brought over as a side or appetizer that was delicious. I just don't know the name of it. Thai Iced tea - 5/5 Chicken fried rice - 4/5. Looked pale Beef and broccoli- 5/5 Pork XLB - 10/5 Overall if you are close by it is a must try!

Quick visit to the Bay Area and decided to check out Din Ding Dumpling House in Union City Decoto area for lunch. Located in a shopping plaza so there's plenty of parking but can be difficult to find a spot during peak times. It is clean with a good size dining area with plenty of dining tables. This spot offers dim sum dumplings as welll as traditional Chinese dishes. The dishes are more Mandarin style, rather than Cantonese. The staff are friendly, courteous and very welcoming. Received very good service. It was lunch time so the place was packed but the staff were very efficient, checking in often and refilling water. We ordered: Egg soup with vegetable tofu Shrimp and pork dumpling Pumkin shrimp and pork shao mai Sauteed bok choy Combination chow mein Honey walnut prawns Steam rice Hot tea The food was delicious!!! Couldn't stop eating LOL Will visit again.

I love Din Ding Dumpling House -- one of the best restaurants in Union City! Parking can be a hassle, the parking lot is huge but as they are many restaurants there, parking gets very congested. Depending on the time, parking can be tough. Their menu is extensive, many options to choose from. I enjoy their clay pots, noodles, fried rice and dumplings. Food is flavorful and delicious; a little pricier. The staff members are kind and polite, they are attentive but not overbearing. Ambiance is simple -- black table and chairs, sauces on the table. Additional spices are available, just need to ask the servers. Delicious meal, worth the wait. Looking forward to dining here, again, when I'm in the Union City area.

To me! The best xiao long Baos in the bay! This place was underrated for the longest time so I'm so glad it's gotten the hype they deserved ! This place was originally introduced to me by my mom and after introducing it to my friends this place was the PLACE TO BE! In my opinion better than ding tai fung. Din ding has smaller lines better prices and better tasting XLBS! Things I love to order after coming so many times : -spicy string beans -pork xlb -the crab xlb - pumpkin siu mai ( my bfs moms loves it) - pan fried potstickers - beef brisket noodles -spicy oil noodles with beef -or my favorite is the spicy noodle with pork - pork chow mein - salt and pepper ribs -potato salad Their beef brisket noodles is what I fell in love with in the first place. It was a nice deep flavor broth with long chewy noodles that gave such a good bite! The tendon and brisket were so tender and juicy it was so delicious! The spicy green beans I prefer over just garlic green beans because it has a little bit of a kick paired with this aged pickled mustard vegetable that adds such a good saltiness! I think it adds more flavor than just the average garlic green bean! The spicy oil noodles with beef is so flavorful. I think anything with their noodles is worth it because they make it in house and it's so chewy and never overcooked. The spice has a good heat and added a deep umami flavor. Even though this time I didn't get XLB! This is what they're most known for and I highly recommend !

Food was excellent. We came here to Celebrate a birthday. Group of 10, reservations ahead are available. We ordered the following Dumplings: Crab and pork, and pork dumplings Garlic pork chops THAT WAS THE TABLE favorite Honey walnut Prawns Pork belly burgers Bang bang chicken wings Sweet and sour short ribs I forgot the name of this item but it was spicy noodles in broth with bok choy. The noodles have to be made in house. They tasted so fresh. The texture was soft but had structure. Sautéed green beans. Pork chowmein Pork buns. Everything so delicious. Literally everything that was brought to the table.

#1 on my Belli. Been good for years. Always very busy, but best dumpling noodle house around for sure. Get noodle soups, get dumplings, duh. Stir fries are good too. Can't really go wrong with this menu. Good for larger parties (18 people or less). While waiting for a table, wander around the Daiso in the plaza.

Came on a Sunday evening- around 4-5P, had a party of 8 people and were accommodated immediately! Located in a plaza with a; grocery store, shengkee bakery, daiso, boba, burger king- plenty of parking and other options. Note: definitely see if they take reservation or come earlier because this restaurant fills up FAST Once you have put in your orders, food starts arriving at your table one-by-one SO quickly Some of the items we ordered were: honey walnut shrimp, tomato and eggs noodles, combo chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, salt and pepper prawns, spicy garlic noodles, stir fried green beans, bok choy, spinach, egg roe fried rice, egg soup, spare ribs, salt and pepper pork ribs, shumei, soup dumplings, more Needless to say, i had a little bit of everything- Not a single dish disappointed us! Everything that was suppose to be crunchy, was crunchy, all the dishes were flavorful, protein stayed super juicy, fresh vegetable stir fries Spectacular food, amazing service with the constant water and tea refills They are quite popular so come try when you can! Great place for a family dinner or a quick lunch

The food is top tier!! Comparable to DTF, but better and more authentic!! Service is extremely fast and efficient. I def recommend coming at off-peak times because it gets super busy and wait times can be long! Parking is tough and there's a lot for lots of other restaurants and Daiso. Be sure to join the yelp waitlist in advance if you're going during peak times!

Great family restaurant with excellent service! I've been to Din Ding Dumpling House in Union City many times, and it never disappoints. Their shrimp fried rice is one of my go-to favorites--perfectly balanced, not too salty, very flavorful, and they definitely don't skimp on the shrimp. On this visit, I tried the braised beef in a pot, which came with mushrooms, mixed vegetables, and potatoes in a savory sauce that was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the shrimp & loofah xiao long bao. This place is well known for their XLB, and this one did not disappoint--fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The spicy beef brisket noodle was another highlight, with generous portions of beef and tasty noodles. If you enjoy heat, I'd recommend asking for it a bit spicier. Overall, it was a very joyful meal, and Din Ding Dumpling House will definitely remain on my list of places I'm always happy to come back to.

Our meal was delicious. We went on a Sunday around 3:30 pm and there was plenty of seating. There's a window along the back wall where you can watch the team handcraft each dumpling. The food arrived hot, fresh, and full of flavor.

I arrived here for lunch on a Tuesday and was surprised to see that there was a wait! Though I'm glad because they at least have a Yelp waitlist to join and easily track your place in line through the app. I arrived with a party of 4 around 1:20 pm and the wait said around 24-40 minutes so we decided to take a stroll over at Daiso next door to kill some time and within 15 minutes I received a text saying that my table was ready and then received a call from the restaurant within a minute of the text! The food was better than I had expected. ~~Parking: The restaurant is located in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking if you're willing to walk! ~~Service: Good. It wasn't that difficult to hail down a wait staff even though we were seated in the middle of the restaurant closer to the wooden divider. ~~Best Part: XLB's. These were huge! They were juicy and the outside was cooked to perfection (I've gone to some places where it feels a bit rubbery like it's underdone). ~~Tips: Try everything you think would be good at the restaurant. The table next to us ordered noodles and the honey walnut shrimp and I could smell it and regretted not ordering it!! Though we already had left overs so we definitely would not have been able to finish all of the food. We ordered 5 items for 4 people. ~~Return: YES! Though I probably would go to the Fremont location since that's closer to me.

Did a last minute search for lunch recommendations in the area, which we were not familiar with, and the group was VERY happy with Din Ding Dumpling House! We got in with a group of 7 right before the lunch rush (there definitely seems to be an uptick in crowds 12:15-30ish. and got a table straight away. Staff are fast, if not all...warm (but isn't that the charm of a Chinese restaurant haha). We panicked when we thought we overordered, but in fact it was a good amount (with a few leftovers) and everything was delicious. We got: -2x pork xiao long bao: Very juicy and flavorful! -beef & onion xiao mai: something different and very nice! liked this one a lot more than the chicken/corn -chicken & corn xiao mai: 'sok -chive dumplings -shrimp & pork pot stickers -combination chow mein -crispy pork with peach sauce - DEFINITELY GET!!! This was so friggin good! -piggy buns - nice custard and so cute -chocolate & strawberry xlb - this was super fun and overall we enjoyed more than the piggy buns plenty of parking in the private lot. The restaurant is right next to Daiso.

Delicious soup dumplings. Nice of the staff to let my friend and I chat for over an hour here. I would definitely revisit to try more of the menu.

The peanuts cabbage dish was complimentary-it is spicy. The shredded ginger was for the soup dumplings

We ordered some of our usual dim sum favorites, including shiu mai, har gow, chicken feet, steamed pork ribs in black bean sauce, and the shrimp spring rolls. The flavors were spot on, even without soy sauce, and I didn't feel thirsty after the meal at all, which is already a good sign. I was a bit disappointed with the har gow wrapper because it was a bit too floury. The shrimp spring rolls were fried so much that the shape completely changed, and I couldn't recognize them at first. Overall, we paid around $38ish for two people, which was a really good value for the portion sizes. The staff was very friendly and attentive. This place is a unassuming shop, and you wouldn't really notice it unless you were looking. There were three other groups there when we were seated and it stayed quite empty. We ordered a few dishes, and we happy that this place make everything fresh. My favorite salted egg lava bun was indeed nice and gooey, which is how I like it. The rice noodles were also fresh. We're nor sure why this place is so empty, but we enjoyed it.

They only had two people working and there were about 5 tables of diners. These two servers were running around non-stop and you had to flag them down every time. They didn't have time to refill our tea pot so they just left a big jug of hot water at our table to refill it ourselves. The restaurant is large, but feels very old and dated. Some chairs were taller than others, carpet needs to be replaced, its in desperate need of a deep cleaning, refresh and remodel. The food was just OK. Some stuff was overcooked and our fish dish and some of the crab was a little under cooked, while some dishes were swimming in oil. Between 8 adults and 2 kids, we had about 9-10 dishes with lots of leftovers (noodles) to take home. Since my mom picked one of the preset menu options, our bill was over $500 for mediocre Chinese food!!! Let's just say, I have no intention of ever coming back.
