We went here last Sunday. Amazing food. Nice welcoming staff. It is a decent place and less crowded on Sunday night. I was with big group. Tried lot of things - chicken curry , lamb shank , Shrimp curry , fish curry , meat ball curry was crowd favourite so must try. Tried yogurt cucumber drink. It is a savoury drink , I loved it... it's very refreshing. At Last we tried Firni- rice pudding... it made my soul happy. Overall , great place. Definitely

GROSS FOOD HANDLING. I was in my car in front of Fremont kebab when this man grabbed these flat bread food items UNPACKAGED straight from their company car to take them inside, touching all of his bare clothes. As he was opening up the door to go inside, he tripped and fell, and all of the bread spilled everywhere on the sidewalk/street. A lady who looked to be a worker came out of the building, picked them up and they both took them all inside.

Came in Friday around 5 and it was not busy at all. Food was delicious and ambiance was really cozy. Service (5/5) was also attentive. Yogurt and cucumber dip (5/5): I loved this. We actually had to order another round of warm bread to finish this off because we enjoyed it so much. Qabuli Palow (5/5): I got it with lamb and the lamb did not have a gamey smell at all. The meat was tender and fall off the bone. The raisins also added a unique, sweet tone to the dish as well. The basmati rice was also well cooked and seasoned. Chicken Curry (4/5): The curry was so flavourful and the chicken was nice and tender. The curry was seasoned really nicely. I am more used to the spiciness of Indian curry, so this curry was a pleasant mellow surprise. It is not as thick as I am used to, but still delicious. Firini (5/5): I LOVE the texture! It was so soft and creamy! Perfect little palette cleanser after a big meal. I also really liked that it was not too sweet. The pistachio bits on the top added a complementary nutty taste too. (Forgot name) Sweet icecream-like dessert with vermicelli noodles (4/5): I have never had vermicelli noodles in a dessert before.. honestly, it was pretty good. The texture of the noodles were a little bit chewy and stiff because of the cold, it made for an interesting mouth feel. The ice cream and flavour itself was also very nice and refreshing. I would try this again.

Just went here for lunch and so happy to be back at the restaurant with my favorite bolani! The bolani is filled with a good amount of filling and the sauce is great. We also ordered the lamb kabob and chicken kabob. The lamb kabob was a little too fatty in my opinion but the chicken kabob was great. I wish the plate came with something to make the dish a bit less dry but everything was amazing. The service was pretty quick and came with complimentary bread.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! I've tried almost all of their dishes and loved everything, especially the Qabili Palaw and their delicious doogh. Highly recommended!

This Lamb Shank was fall of the bone goodness. It was so tender and flavorful. Only con is that Curry was a bit on the salty side. Other than that it was great. I was jealous on the Kabobs that came out though. They smelled so good coming fresh, hot off the fire. I was able to have try my son's Chopan Kabob (Lamb Chop), was a bit overdone for my liking but it was still tender and full in flavor from the spice rub. Service was a standard, nothing special. A plus is that they are open late, til 11:30 Friday and Saturday.

The beef and chicken kabobs were succulent. The green and red sauces paired well with the meats. Rice was cooked perfectly. Customer service was okay. Plenty of parking. Clean bathroom. Small restaurant.

Gentleman who took my order, on the phone, was very nice and patient with me, listening to me asking for less sodium. He did state that they don't put a whole lot of salt in their cooking to begin with, which was exactly what I needed. This was a pick up order, but I did see that the seating area inside was very neat and inviting. Next time I come to Fremont, I'll definitely pass by for a meal.

Food was ok. The only thing I like most was the spicy potato bolani and Dahl soup. The hummus was pretty good too although I have a bias for the richer thicker texture type (common in the Israeli hummus). The family thought the kabob and curry chicken were good too. Ambiance - nicely decorated and clean with an upper section for cozy seating on the ground if you like. The only reason I gave a lower rating was due to the service. It was extremely slow in serving the dishes considering we were there early and there were only two other tables (couples) in the restaurant. Even then, this woukdnt have been the reason for me to give a lower rating as I know how tough to run a business. The low rating was primarily due to the fact that they weren't honest and didn't inform me that the grilled eggplant entree I ordered was out of stock at all! I was waiting patiently the whole time for my order when the rest of the family member had their orders served to them and were almost done eating. It was then I had to get up to the counter to ask and found out my order was not available to my surprise! They claimed they told us when they served the other dishes to our table. Granted we were so engaged in conversations that we may not have caught it. But then it doesn't add up because if they had told me, I am sure they would ask if I would like to order an alternative dish. So I felt it was just a lie to make up for the lack of attention and notification here. Don't think I will come back again as the food itself is not great enough to make up for the poor service unfortunately.

Here's We ordered takeout from Fremont Afghan Kabob and tried the potato bolani and spinach curry, which came with rice. One thing we appreciated was that they asked about the spice level for the bolani--mild, medium, or spicy. We got mild and medium, and both were delicious. The bolani came with yogurt and mint chutney, which was decent but not particularly standout. The restaurant is right next to Chat Bhavan, and the parking lot is small, so it can get a bit crowded at times. However, the staff was fantastic, and the seating arrangement was comfortable and pleasant for dining in. Overall, we would definitely come back to try more dishes. Great food, great service--just a bit of a challenge with parking!

Really cute place! The interior looks very traditional and there's a special floor seating area as well. Outside, there is parking, however, it was pretty packed so we parked on the other side. The staff were very friendly and answered any questions we had about the food. Additionally, all of our dishes came out at the same time which is always a plus! We had the bolani with pumpkin and leek, these were amazing! It's almost like Chinese pancake but more thin. For entrees, we got the combo kabob (lamb and beef) and korma lamb. I personally loved the lamb much better, the meat was super tender and went great with the basmati rice. The kabob wasn't my favorite, it was incredibly dry and tough to chew. I would recommend their stewed dishes instead. Overall, it was a great experience! I would definitely return for the korma lamb anytime.

If you want some Middle Eastern food here it is AB good looking food delicious food and highly recommend this kebab restaurant you got to try it because place represents itself and the food wow I heard it's delicious and they greet you with hospitality top 10 and you won't be disappointed because their food is top of the lines so whenever you're in Fremont drop by Fremont kebab you won't be disappointed especially the atmosphere is really top 10 very cozy you will enjoy yourself and taste all them different kind of food they make you just keep coming back for more pressure if you love kabob like I do

Bolani Potato photobombed by the House Dip - never met a bolani I didn't like!
    Daniel N.

Fremont Afghan Kabob: consistent, meaty goodness. The Sultani Kabob (three skewers) plate is perfect for those who are indecisiveness or want a variety of skewers. I would recommend the classic lamb, beef, and chicken skewers if it's your first time. All of them are seasoned and cooked well (i.e., not dry). The mediterranean salad provides a bright and crunchy complement. You can also upgrade to Qabli rice (would recommend), which provides a nice sweetness from the raisins to balance the savory skewers. For appetizers, the Bolani Potato is solid, a little softer / fluffier than others I've had. The 'mild' still has a decent peppery kick. Pro-tip: Mix the provided yogurt with their green or red hot sauce for a spicy and tangy topping. Also recommend the House Dip, whose flavor I would describe as more of a garlicky yogurt dip than an eggplant dip. Still, it's a creamy, delectable spread that pairs well with the house bread or bolani. I don't think I'll ever stray from the skewers (which my rating is based on), but I did try some of the Korma Lamb - the lamb shank was tender as you would expect; however, I personally found the tomato sauce a little one-noted and too acidic. I'm sure this is a matter of personal taste, and given how much I enjoy the skewers, I have confidence that Fremont Kabob's other dishes will shine the same.

My family and I, two adults and two young children, came here during Ramadan for iftaar. Before arriving, I specifically called ahead to ask whether we needed to come early because I understood restaurants can become very busy during iftaar time. I was told that arriving 10 to 15 minutes before iftaar would be perfectly fine and that our food would be ready around the time of breaking fast. Based on that reassurance, we came about 20 minutes before iftaar expecting a smooth experience. Instead, the moment we walked in, it felt like we were invisible. The restaurant was crowded but not chaotic. We sat down and waited while servers walked past us repeatedly without acknowledging us. Eventually, I had to flag someone down myself just to place an order. I even asked directly how long the food would take because we were fasting all day and had two small children with us. The server confidently assured us the food would arrive around iftaar time. That never happened. When iftaar finally arrived, all we received were dates and water. No appetizers, no main dishes, nothing. We continued waiting while table after table around us received their food. Meanwhile, our children became increasingly upset and hungry. Anyone with young kids knows that after a full day of fasting, asking them to wait another 20, 30, even 50 minutes is nearly impossible. Our kids were crying, exhausted, and confused as they watched other families eat while we sat there with empty plates. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of honesty and accountability. Every time we asked about our order, we were told, "It's coming soon." Then eventually the server disappeared entirely for nearly 20 minutes and avoided us altogether. A woman later approached us, but instead of apologizing or taking our concerns seriously, she became dismissive and defensive. By this point, nearly 50 minutes had passed since we ordered, and she still insisted we "shouldn't complain" (in Farsi) because the food would come "soon." That response was honestly more upsetting than the delay itself. A simple apology, honesty, or basic compassion toward a fasting family with small children would have gone a long way. We eventually left the restaurant feeling humiliated, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. What saddened me most is that this happened during Ramadan, a month centered around patience, generosity, hospitality, and good character. In Afghan culture and Islamic ethics, guests are supposed to be treated with dignity and care, especially during iftaar. Halal is not only about the food being permissible. Halal is also about honesty, fairness, respect, and how people are treated. Sadly, this restaurant failed in all of those areas. We will never return, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for respectful service or a welcoming family environment.
