Food was delivered very delicious! My friend brought me here and told me they make home made style food. Would definitely recommend for culture food.

    Dirty silverware given to us

Service-horrible Food- 2/5 stars Ambiance-dirty, needs a major upgrade/renovation needed Walked into this place..which we should have walked back out just by the inside appearance. We were given dirty silverware (see picture) with oil stains and stains..cups were filthy inside..we didn't even bother bringing out of it. That had already ruined my appetite...food comes out 45min later...we were told 20-25min...server was not attentive, on their phone. As we're having our dinner there..we get a really bad odor coming from the bathroom..not sure what the smell was but it was very unpleasant. Save yourself the time and money, go elsewhere. I've been to better places and this isn't one of them

I've been wanting some Pakistani/Indian food for a while and Peshawari Kebabs helped satisfy that craving! I felt the prices were good for the amount of food they served. I definitely did not finish everything and now have food for dinner as well. It was my first time here and decided to dine in. The service was reasonably quick and everything came out nice and hot. The Lamb dish I tried had mild spice which was what I asked for. They can adjust the spice to your liking as well. No complaints on the Naan and Bolani. The guy at the front was nice and recommended I try their homemade kheer which is like a rice pudding - it was such a nice treat! Perfectly sweet. I can't wait to come back to try more of their dishes and definitely recommend Peshawari Kebabs to everyone!

Peshawari is my favorite restaurant in the entire bay area!! And that's saying a lot because I'm a foodie and am always on the lookout for the best quality and tasting food. They deliver every single time! If you haven't yet tried Peshawari karahi, kabab and rice or are missing authentic home food, this is the spot! The best, freshly made karahi in all of Bay area!! We always go for their chicken peshawari karahi and I'd rate it 10/10. My partner also loves their lamb karahi, 10/10 from him but I don't eat red meat so I cannot comment on it. They have delicious chapli kabab that are served with a generous serving of rice 10/10. Their naan is of superior quality and taste, we always order extra to take home. They also have great service and tea on tap. Something to keep in mind is that the karahi is made from scratch with fresh tomatoes after you place your order, none of that purees or tomato paste that you'll get at most restaurants, so it does take some time to make the karahi. Factor that in and my advise would be to order over the phone before your arrival, it will cut down your wait time. I wouldn't count the wait time between order and service of food as a con since they're making it fresh and from scratch and I would not have it another way. 10/10 on service as well!

It was my second visit here in two years and I loved the food, once again. I'm really surprised with some of the recent low ratings and negative reviews, but my experience was very different. Peshawari Kababs is a medium-sized restaurant in a strip mall with enough parking. It seems like an older restaurant but is extremely clean, and has decent interiors. You can absolutely dine in here; this is not your hole in the wall takeout-only place. There was a single person handling the welcoming, getting the table ready, taking the order, and bringing in the food when we dined in, but she was very efficient, pleasant, and doing everything with a smile on her face - no complaints at all. We started off with the potato bolani. I liked that we could specify the level of spice, something that we often can't do with bolani. And the addition of some spice really helped me enjoy this potato flatbread, compared to other Afghan places. The bolani paired wonderfully with their complimentary chai (milk tea). For the main course, my partner and I shared a charsi goat karahi and paired it with naans. The goat karahi is to be ordered by the pound (it is definitely a little pricey at $25 per lb) and takes about 30-35 minutes to arrive once you place the order because it's slow cooked. We relished every bite of the subtly spiced tender goat with the yummy naan, and left with very happy and full tummies.

If you're craving authentic, flavorful Pakistani cuisine, Peshawari Kabob in Union City is a hidden gem that delivers an exceptional culinary experience. Known for its robust flavors and traditional cooking, the restaurant serves up some truly unforgettable dishes. During our visit, we ordered a range of dishes that showcased the depth of their menu. Qeema Karahi The Qeema Karahi was a standout. A rich, spicy meat stew made with minced lamb, this dish was cooked in a wok-like karahi (a traditional round-bottomed pan), which allowed the spices to infuse the meat deeply. The minced meat was tender, absorbing the tangy, spicy tomato-based gravy beautifully. The mix of cumin, coriander, and garam masala created a deliciously aromatic experience, perfect when paired with naan or Romali Roti. Chapli Kabob The Chapli Kabob was another highlight. These round, crispy patties were packed with flavor--spiced with crushed coriander, cumin, green chilies, and a hint of garlic, they had a slight crunch on the outside while staying juicy on the inside. The meat was perfectly seasoned, and the addition of fresh herbs gave the kabobs a refreshing note. Served with onions and a side of chutney, they were a delightful treat. Nihari The Nihari was a comforting, slow-cooked beef stew with a deep, rich gravy. The beef was incredibly tender, falling apart with the touch of a fork. The gravy had a velvety texture, infused with a variety of spices like ginger, garlic, and garam masala, creating a warming, aromatic sauce. The dish was flavorful yet not overwhelming, making it an ideal pairing with both rice or Romali Roti. Maash Daal The Maash Daal (black lentils) was another great addition to our spread. It was hearty and earthy, simmered in a rich, buttery gravy with subtle spices that didn't overshadow the natural flavors of the lentils. The dal had a smooth consistency and was the perfect balance to the more intensely spiced meats we ordered. Chicken Biryani The Chicken Biryani was aromatic and flavorful, with perfectly cooked basmati rice infused with fragrant spices. The chicken pieces were tender and well-seasoned, absorbing the layers of spices. The dish wasn't overly greasy, and the rice was light yet full of flavor. A touch of yogurt and fresh cilantro garnished the top, enhancing the dish's refreshing and balanced taste. Romali Roti We rounded out our meal with Romali Roti, a soft, thin flatbread that was perfect for scooping up the flavorful curries and meats. It was delightfully light, with a slight chewiness, and was a great accompaniment to all the dishes. Its delicate texture paired well with the hearty, saucy dishes we enjoyed. Doodh Paathi To finish off our meal, we tried the Doodh Paathi, and it was the ideal conclusion to an already incredible spread. It's smooth and comforting, with just the right amount of sweetness, making it an indulgent treat after the savory dishes. The Doodh Paathi was refreshing and soothing, a perfect contrast to the bold spices we'd just enjoyed. Overall Experience Service at Peshawari Kabob was friendly and attentive. The ambiance is casual, with an authentic, no-frills atmosphere, allowing the food to truly shine. Each dish was well-prepared, generously portioned, and full of flavor, reflecting the skill and attention to detail in their cooking. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, offering great value for money. If you're in the area and in the mood for delicious Pakistani food, Peshawari Kabob is definitely a must-try. The range of dishes we ordered provided a satisfying and authentic dining experience that I would highly recommend.

Appetizers: samosas and mixed veg pakora -- these dishes were pretty salty for me so I didn't eat much! Entrees: chicken tikka masala, goat curry, saag paneer with garlic naan, plain naan and tandoori roti. The curry was solid and breads went great with them. Service: pretty slow as I mentioned. Took a bit to take our orders, although the food came in a timely manner. We initially ordered appetizers, and the waitress did not return for a while to take our order for our entrees. We had already finished all the appetizers by the time she came back. The table was full with our finished plates when the entrees arrived too so we struggled to make room for them -- wish they could have been cleared out prior to avoid the mess.

Most of all our favorite waiter, Shabi far exceeds our expectations when it comes to customer service. There are plenty of Indian restaurants in Fremont where we live, but since our favorite go-to place closed, we've yet to find another that perfectly pleases us both. He's a vegetarian. I'm not. He likes heavy spice and some heat. My tastes run towards mildly spiced chicken curries. If you are considering Shahi Darbar based on Yelp reviews and photos, you will not be disappointed. There is ample parking in front as the restaurant is in a strip mall without a lot of evening traffic. Outside is brightly lit and inside, the dining area is large, so there is plenty of room between tables. Even though there were many people there and music overhead we could still hear each other and converse. There are tables and booths. It's clean and bright. Our server was attentive and friendly. The menu is extensive! It was hard to choose, but I ordered chicken tikka masala because I don't see it offered at too many other restaurants, not the way butter chicken is.. it was wonderful! The server asked our preferred spice levels and the kitchen delivered. Husband ordered palak paneer and loved that the spinach wasn't over creamed or over blended (he doesn't like when the spinach is no longer recognizable as spinach and the palak looks like green baby food - this is not the case here). The palak paneer was perfect. We had veg pakora as an appetizer. It was SO good. Since we were celebrating a birthday and had cake waiting at home, we took home a lot of leftovers, which made the next night's dinner at home pretty epic too. For such a nice place, the prices are reasonable. There is a full bar. I had my back to it and didn't see it until we were leaving. I'm not sure if it is open all the time or not. When we return, likely for our anniversary next month, I might order a drink. It was about a 25 minute drive for us, so we won't be able to make this our new go-to, but you can be sure we will return as soon and as often as the opportunity comes along again.
