A patron made suggestions to me as Pakistan food is relatively new to me. Me & server didn't converse well. A difference of India & Pakistan eats-latter is halal. We dine at the Fremont location atleast once a week. It's a habit now and we've done so for years. So one day a couple weeks back, I wondered why we don't go into their Hayward location. To rectify this error I called in and got a takeout, and honestly the food here is so so good! The same flavors and spices from the Fremont location, prepared with the same care and love. Since that time we've gone back 3 times, tonight being the latest. We usually get the goat or chicken Peshawari kadahi with naan and rice. Sometimes we add Kababs to the mix. Haidar the owner and chef cooks incredible food and is so kind and accommodating. I have to say that with this restaurent in Hayward, I can safely get out of the mindset that one needs to travel to Fremont for high quality and tasty Indian/Pakistani food . read more

Full halal menu for those with dietary restrictions! First time going to this specific location. It is nicer than the Fremont location but not by much. The parking lot was pretty deserted and the inside was empty. The service was good and the karahi was delicious but there was a man sleeping outside the restaurant that clearly wasn't in his senses. While eating, he started making a bunch of noise right outside the restaurant door and it startled a few in my party. As for the things to order, you have to order their chicken and gosht karahi that comes fresh in the pot. The naan was delicious and their chicken and beef Seekh kabobs are a must. The chapli is decent but can be omitted. The leg quarters were very tasty. I would still give this place another shot in person. Here is the scoop: this is a truly authentic Pakistani restaurant. The spinach is not puréed like the Indian restaurants. You can still see the leaves, roughly chopped you can get meat added to any of your vegetarian dishes with lamb or chicken chicken breast kebab was on point, it is also not overly spicy which is a big plus for me. My only objection is that the Naan is not leven, meaning it is lacking yeast, so it's flat. I ordered a roti and a naan and they both looked identical, except one was white flower, and the other one was wheat. Also, just like all other Pakistani restaurants , you don't see a woman working in there. So as usual, it lacks the proper decoration and some of the beauties that ladies bring setting. the service was relatively quick and the food was freshly made. I was told to try to karaahi but maybe next time. The parking is parked gravel, which is unusual because right right in the middle of a city. Second visit and again enjoyed the most amazing food. The owner and his next in command clearly have the chops and experience to create amazing flavors. We ordered palak aloo, paneer achari, butter roti, cholay, achari chicken and their signature nakamandi goat karahi. Holy smokes! Clearly they have a huge fan following, because while we were eating at the restaurant, they kept orders for pick up. And I find their food at the Hayward location is more fresh and flavorful. The service and food was great. Not too great of an ambience. Pretty basic with done chairs and tables. They do offer free chai which was empty as we went in late Lahori choley - really bad. You can skip Achari gosht curry- decent, not the best pieces of goat. What an excellent place to enjoy one of the best Pakistani food around this area. A hidden gem in the bay area. The BEST service ever. I mean the BEST. Karahi chicken is one of my favorites here. They are always humble and smiling. They always go above and beyond to make me happy and satisfied with warm smile. We were looking for some nice Biryani spot in Hayward and decided to a try. We had requested out Biryani to be spicy, and while picking up the ordered double checked if it was spicy and the response was "I think so." The biryani itself looked appetizing. This place has jumped a few locations a few times. Pretty sure I saw them in Fremont in the Pakwan neighborhood. Got take out, with a twist ~ I imagined chicken seekh kabob in a tikka masala gravy. This is not a common dish, and a few places I called didn't or couldn't make it. Because they're basic. Yea, I judge. KKK said they not only can make it, but it's a feature on their menu. Nice. Ordered it, and they said it would be ready in 20min. Now I'm excited. I get their in 25. I'm imagining my poor chicken seekh kabob tikka masala getting cold and lonely without me. I go in and ask for the order. It isn't ready. Oh no. I wait about 10 more minutes for it. Time stood still. A family were the only other diners in the restaurant. I think they only had two people working - one in the kitchen and another seining between the register and kitchen. It happens. What they charged and what was on the menu varied by a $1. NBD TBH, but just update your menu fam. Yes, I still tipped. The food itself was pretty good. I asked for medium high spicy and it lived up. My cauliflower rice and leftover Chana daal at home gave it company as I ate it while I watched George RR Martin redeeming himself with House of the Dragon. It was a good evening. If the ambiance was a tad nicer and less indifferent I'd take more people here. But I'd still push. Thing is, in your 30s, it's hard to convince couples to come. Friends and their partners have 'standards' and such. So only the ambience-agnostic food-first diners come through. Which ends up being select friends and family. Yesterday I bought sheikh kabob karahi and goat karahi to show my friend this restaurant but the shekh kabob kadhi was bland, goat one was pretty good. There were big raw chunks of garlic all over in the sheikh kabob one. I am not sure if they made shekh kabobs first on chargrill before putting it in karhai because there was little to no taste of smokiness from char which they used to do before. That was the best thing about the taste but was missing this time. I asked for spicy but it was way too many raw chilies in the shekh kabob one. The goat one was pretty good. I told them they have enough time to cook it properly still the seikh kabob one seems like rushed job. Thanks for keeping it fresh and good customer service. I have tried this place 2 times now , my 1 st time experience was kinda unusual, when I first entered the place it was had some stinking piss smell , it was so over powering I had to wait outside for my take away, Quality of food was below average as the I ordered Karahi and for the price it was not worth it , it had 60% of fat chunks , with no meat , second time just to give it a chance again I tried again in the noon time in the middle of june , I ordered Naan , chicken seekh and Karahi , , unfortunately it was the same problem again the order was full of fat chunks , chicken seekh was ok , when cashier asked me how was the food I told him the reality and his reply was that if I order it for 4 persons quantity then I would get better pieces but in the second visit I was the only customer and place was not smelling like first time read more

Great naan. Ok karahis (goat and chicken) Dry kebob (seekh and chapli) Can't justify coming back here just for the naan. Sadly, we had the foods twice before and loved it. This time we brought out of town guests and were disappointed. We called in advance to see if they were open and they were. Once we got there all the tables had chairs on them. Someone had just mopped the floor and it was wet. Why would you not setup a table if you know that guests are coming? We just looked at each other and picked a table. Someone helped with the chairs. Got the menu and realized that something about the karahi order was different. You used to be able to order 1/2 kg or lb vs 1 lb. This time you could order an entree for one or 2. It was salty and the spices were overpowering. Really no difference between the namakmandi karahi and the regular one. This was now how we remembered it. Kabob we're over grilled and hence chewy.
