    Plain Naan
    Tareq B.

Here is the scoop: this is a truly authentic Pakistani restaurant. The spinach is not puréed like the Indian restaurants. You can still see the leaves, roughly chopped you can get meat added to any of your vegetarian dishes with lamb or chicken chicken breast kebab was on point, it is also not overly spicy which is a big plus for me. My only objection is that the Naan is not leven, meaning it is lacking yeast, so it's flat. I ordered a roti and a naan and they both looked identical, except one was white flower, and the other one was wheat. Also, just like all other Pakistani restaurants , you don't see a woman working in there. So as usual, it lacks the proper decoration and some of the beauties that ladies bring setting. the service was relatively quick and the food was freshly made. I was told to try to karaahi but maybe next time. The parking is parked gravel, which is unusual because right right in the middle of a city. Perhaps it's the sign of struggling immigrants trying to make a living.

This place is amazing!!! Please go and support them. Highly recommend. Best place in the neighborhood for Pakistani halal food.

Solid authentic Indian food exceeding quality expectations and a veteran in takeout service…read more Phulkari Indian Cuisine is a top choice for us when we are in the area as their food is delicious, made fresh, and packaged well for on the go families like us. We have our favorites from their menu but they host a variety of curries, proteins, and small bites/street eats. Panipuri - crispy balls ready to be loaded up with lentils, delicious fillings and sauces, these mouthfuls are great for starters but you'll find yourself eating these throughout the meal not only because you're hungry but also because you just can't get enough of them. Samosas - hearty fried dumplings packed with potatoes that are perfect for eating on the go. Great by itself or with sauces and curry, these hot pockets are a burst of flavor that will stuff you up. Goat curry - full of flavor and a bit on the spicy end for those sensitive to capsaicin. Pair with naan or rice and you'll be golden, from the tastes you'll be experience as well as the heat! Butter paneer/chicken - the sweetness of the curry is subtle but the creaminess is what will win you over. Smothered over chicken or paneer, this is a delicious palate pleaser. Biryani - solid staple, flavorful and cooked perfectly. Great by itself or paired with some curry or a grilled entree. Salmon - delicious but a bit overcooked for my liking but in a pinch, omega-3s can be supplemented in this meal. Overall, Phulkari satisfies our craving for Indian curry any day and it's great knowing that the experience will consistently be a good one anytime those cravings come up. We haven't had a chance to dine in but would welcome the opportunity to visit for a sit down. For now, they're still our go-to for Indian cuisine when we are in the area. Unsure of where you'll end up settling for food or not having the time or space to cook an elaborate meal packed with flavors and aromas? Phulkari pulls through as the restaurant of choice!

He seemed snappy when I asked to bring the roti first as an appetizer...(we were hungry) and he just said "it's coming". And sure enough we didn't get it as an appetizer but came with the rest of the food. Here is where the negative experience begins. We got a lamb curry when we ordered a lamb biryani. Instead of apologizing for the mix up, the server took no responsibility and said it was our fault for saying the wrong thing. I said there was absolutely NO way we said the wrong thing. He still tried to argue and say he repeated the order twice (he didn't). I said look man, it's not my fault you messed up, we would never order that. Then, we got the mixed tandoori grill and there was a HUGE hair sticking straight up. I didn't get to snap a picture. This server really asked if we wanted another one... He did eventually say his bad for the mix up and did bring us another naan basket for free so I give him credit for trying to make it right after the fact. But then the check came and he bypassed the tip after I tapped. He said, "the tip is for the restaurant, I only take cash." Like wow, not even the opportunity for me to tip the restaurant? And to expect everyone to only tip cash for him? Food was for sure amazing but this server really needs to get trained on service. To not give the customer an opportunity to tip the restaurant is unfair for the workers. Edit: I had to take another star off because when I got home to eat our leftovers I found ANOTHER hair literally embedded in our chicken! Absolutely disgusting...

But I don't go to Indian places to get the butter chicken. I actually don't remeber what I got for my lunch combo, but it wasn't anthing to write home about. Pricing was okay given it was the lunch time special pricing. Honestly the atmosphere felt like a family shop where no one wants to work there but it pays the bills.
