    Lamb chicken = goat (lol)

My wife and I heard about this restaurant from close friends. Was traveling through Fremont and decided to give it a try. We happened to arrive on the same day they had just finished an event and started another as this restaurant also caters. The staff here are super friendly and were patient in explaining their menu and options for the buffet. We choice to order from the menu. I loved the chicken kebab. It was so juicy and flavorful. Also the saag panner was amazing as well. The cheese was not as strong as other places. The lamb curry was a let down as it had more bones than meet. Waitress complemented us with chi to go. Overall was a great time and food was very good.

This was such an amazing experience. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They explained the menu a well and suggested many popular dishes! We ordered meat, rice, and vegetarian options and they were all delicious. I would definitely recommend coming here for some bomb Pakistani food!

This buffet was very good. Better than the Mehran in Pittsburg even. It was crowded and busy with tables full and a banquet going on in the side room. Chicken biriyani was tender and not dry but fluffy rice. Pya( beef feet- all meats halal) was excellent and my husband loved it! The naan was so fluffy and thick! This is the best naan I have had bc I like it fluffy! Chole was on point. The beef nihari was tender beef falling apart and very good. My husband's family all experts in the cuisine all said the food was very good! Spinach with aloo was delicious and aloo achar which I never had was good too. That had a distinctive flavor profile to it- kind of pickled tiny bit sour but good. Butter chicken very rich and yummy. What I REALLY liked was halva which was yellow in color with almonds ( or is said Suji on index card in front of it) which is a sweet dessert( like cream of wheat texture). I make it at home even and I'm not fond of sweets but this was buttery and very tasty! Along with kheer ( rice pudding but really ground up)- like I said, I'm not into desserts or sweets usually ( I like fried or savory), but these were sooo good I could have been happy just eating those two dishes alone lol! They also served poori( fried crispy kind of paratha) with the suji and I even ate it with the kheer rice pudding! Served with nice hot chai tea! I haven't had a good buffet especially after Covid for a long time or even good food really in a restaurant after, so this is good decent food! Like I went away thinking for 20.00 this was finally worth it!

The place is spacious and clean, and somehow has an American diner feel to it. The menu is limited but interesting, with the meat clearly being the main focus. There are hardly any options for vegetarians. In fact, my wife tried the only veggie option on the menu, the Bun Kabob (veg). It was fantastic: a crispy potato patty inside a soft bun with a spicy sauce. I went all out on the meat just by myself. I tried the Signature Chicken Tikka Roll (spicy), the Chicken Tikka (Bihari) leg, and the Chicken Gola Kebab. Everything was excellent. The gola kebab is melt-in-your-mouth soft. The roll was tasty, but pretty oily, so next time I will probably just go with naan. The Bihari chicken tikka was also unique, garlic-forward but delicious. The service was relatively quick. Highly recommend if you want to try something different from the usual Indian food at most places, but just as authentic and legitimately tasty.

There was plenty of outdoor seating, and the service was speedy. You order on a kiosk, which makes for a streamlined ordering process. The food is always solid - I love all of their thali selections. This location was much more peaceful compared to the Palo Alto location. I stopped by on a Saturday evening, and there were only a couple tables that were occupied. I will say I feel like the portion sizes here are noticeably smaller than those at the Palo Alto location. This might be because all of the orders are packed to-go, so maybe there's less space for food? For instance, the thali from the Palo Alto location includes a side salad, which was not included in my order here. The other sides (pickled salad and daal lentil), along with the entree, were also significantly smaller here. The prices are the same, so I do think the Palo Alto dishes are more worth it.

So embarrassing! Lot's of lost time to make up here and, to that end, I have been coming for lunch. I have more than a few favorite items but still so many choices and at very good prices. I love the grilled chicken legs - they look like Indian tandoori chicken but tastes better. My family and I, two adults and two young children, came here during Ramadan for iftaar. Before arriving, I specifically called ahead to ask whether we needed to come early because I understood restaurants can become very busy during iftaar time. I was told that arriving 10 to 15 minutes before iftaar would be perfectly fine and that our food would be ready around the time of breaking fast. Based on that reassurance, we came about 20 minutes before iftaar expecting a smooth experience. Instead, the moment we walked in, it felt like we were invisible. The restaurant was crowded but not chaotic. We sat down and waited while servers walked past us repeatedly without acknowledging us. Eventually, I had to flag someone down myself just to place an order. I even asked directly how long the food would take because we were fasting all day and had two small children with us. The server confidently assured us the food would arrive around iftaar time. That never happened. When iftaar finally arrived, all we received were dates and water. No appetizers, no main dishes, nothing. We continued waiting while table after table around us received their food. Meanwhile, our children became increasingly upset and hungry. Anyone with young kids knows that after a full day of fasting, asking them to wait another 20, 30, even 50 minutes is nearly impossible. Our kids were crying, exhausted, and confused as they watched other families eat while we sat there with empty plates. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of honesty and accountability. Every time we asked about our order, we were told, "It's coming soon." Then eventually the server disappeared entirely for nearly 20 minutes and avoided us altogether. A woman later approached us, but instead of apologizing or taking our concerns seriously, she became dismissive and defensive. By this point, nearly 50 minutes had passed since we ordered, and she still insisted we "shouldn't complain" (in Farsi) because the food would come "soon." That response was honestly more upsetting than the delay itself. A simple apology, honesty, or basic compassion toward a fasting family with small children would have gone a long way. We eventually left the restaurant feeling humiliated, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. What saddened me most is that this happened during Ramadan, a month centered around patience, generosity, hospitality, and good character. In Afghan culture and Islamic ethics, guests are supposed to be treated with dignity and care, especially during iftaar. Halal is not only about the food being permissible. Halal is also about honesty, fairness, respect, and how people are treated. Sadly, this restaurant failed in all of those areas. We will never return, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for respectful service or a welcoming family environment.
