This review is long overdue, but I feel obligated to share our experience so other families know what to expect from Kabob Fusion. My family and I, two adults and two young children, came here during Ramadan for iftaar. Before arriving, I specifically called ahead to ask whether we needed to come early because I understood restaurants can become very busy during iftaar time. I was told that arriving 10 to 15 minutes before iftaar would be perfectly fine and that our food would be ready around the time of breaking fast. Based on that reassurance, we came about 20 minutes before iftaar expecting a smooth experience. Instead, the moment we walked in, it felt like we were invisible. The restaurant was crowded but not chaotic. We sat down and waited while servers walked past us repeatedly without acknowledging us. Eventually, I had to flag someone down myself just to place an order. I even asked directly how long the food would take because we were fasting all day and had two small children with us. The server confidently assured us the food would arrive around iftaar time. That never happened. When iftaar finally arrived, all we received were dates and water. No appetizers, no main dishes, nothing. We continued waiting while table after table around us received their food. Meanwhile, our children became increasingly upset and hungry. Anyone with young kids knows that after a full day of fasting, asking them to wait another 20, 30, even 50 minutes is nearly impossible. Our kids were crying, exhausted, and confused as they watched other families eat while we sat there with empty plates. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of honesty and accountability. Every time we asked about our order, we were told, "It's coming soon." Then eventually the server disappeared entirely for nearly 20 minutes and avoided us altogether. A woman later approached us, but instead of apologizing or taking our concerns seriously, she became dismissive and defensive. By this point, nearly 50 minutes had passed since we ordered, and she still insisted we "shouldn't complain" (in Farsi) because the food would come "soon." That response was honestly more upsetting than the delay itself. A simple apology, honesty, or basic compassion toward a fasting family with small children would have gone a long way. We eventually left the restaurant feeling humiliated, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. What saddened me most is that this happened during Ramadan, a month centered around patience, generosity, hospitality, and good character. In Afghan culture and Islamic ethics, guests are supposed to be treated with dignity and care, especially during iftaar. Halal is not only about the food being permissible. Halal is also about honesty, fairness, respect, and how people are treated. Sadly, this restaurant failed in all of those areas. We will never return, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for respectful service or a welcoming family environment. read more

Parents were in town and felt like hummus and kebabs so I came to Kabob Fusion to get takeout for lunch. I showed up a little after 11 on a Tuesday and they weren't fully prepared and opened so I waited maybe 5 more minutes before going in and checking if they received my online order. In that time the smell of cleaning product had disappeared more and all the chairs were moved off the tables and into their proper places to start the day. It took about 25 minutes to make everything and it smelled amazing the whole car ride home. For 3 orders of food it's normally too much for us. Here even though the size looks big there isn't a lot of content. It's close to much I normally eat but I'm sure others will find the portion size too small. Instead of going for a combo we did individual orders of koobideh, chicken, and gyro, if you are sharing I think this is the best way to get more quantity. The chicken was dry but strangely tasty. The koobideh was my favorite by far, great grill and beefy taste. The rice in all of them was cooked well, moist and glistening, I could eat that by itself and be satisfied. For example, their chicken wrap before was more Greek flavor, whereas their chicken wrap now tastes like Tandoori chicken. It's still good, but I personally prefer the Greek style. I had a quick pit stop here on the way to a movie in Fremont, otherwise I don't commute much to Fremont from Mountain View. Tender, juicy, extremely well marinated (love the spice and flavor) chicken. Really good portions. The white sauce drizzle was just about right and not over the top. Spicy sauce was just ok. Good flavor on the rice. Comes with hummus, pita and salad as you can see in the picture. Well plated up! The service was pretty quick (around closing time) and they were nice enough to ask me the sauces I wanted on the plate. That's always great. Restaurant is spacious. Complex has a grocery store and another restaurant too. Parking along with the complex and also on the street outside on the side of the restaurant. A Gem in Fremont - Kebab Fusion with Milan Sadiq, Manager While passing through Fremont, my husband and I were lucky enough to discover Kebab Fusion, and we're already planning our next visit. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by how immaculately clean the restaurant was--sparkling chandeliers, polished surfaces, a welcome hot tea, and clean tables. The attention to detail in the atmosphere was a perfect match for the food that followed. The fact that it is Hilal made us feel good about knowing the meats and fish would be top quality. We were warmly welcomed by Milan Sadiq, the manager, whose hospitality set the tone for a memorable meal. Every dish was prepared with care and full of flavor. My husband had the ribeye garlic fries, and they were absolutely cooked to perfection--crispy, tender, and seasoned just right. I ordered the Greek salad with grilled salmon, and it was one of the best I've had. The salmon was succulent and perfectly seared, and the salad itself was vibrant and balanced with olives, feta, banana peppers, cucumbers, and a flavorful house dressing. The warm, fresh pita alongside it was a comforting touch. We also learned the chef has a background in Italian cuisine, so be sure not to miss the pasta special--a unique and delicious fusion twist you won't find anywhere else. We've already recommended Kebab Fusion to several friends in the area, and although we were just passing through on the way to Sacramento, we'll be making a special trip back just to dine here again. I always have a hard time trying to find GOOD koobideh and so happy to have found this place before I left the Bay Area! As we have moved to another state, my heart is dying a little bit because I really miss this spot. It's a tiny little mom and pop shop but they give A LOT for the price you pay and the ingredients are quality! The place is pretty casual and you order your food up at the front and choose a place to sit at. They do offer yummy burgers here as well so if you're not feeling Middle Eastern food, that's always an option to try. Couldn't decide between the various tantalizing options for kabab platters, I don't even know the difference between their persian spices vs mediterranean spices vs afghani spices, making it hard to choose.... I eventually settled on the gyro wrap with a side of fries, a simpler dish, but I have no regrets. I didn't want the tzatziki sauce so the staff offered me garlic sauce instead... had no idea what it was but thought why not. It was sooo good! Large meaty pieces of beef, juicy and flavorful, fresh veggies, and just a drizzle of that garlic sauce, it was made perfectly. And the fries had such a clean taste, like they made it from scratch, could really taste the potato and it wasn't oily but also not dry, plus it came unsalted which I appreciated, so I could add salt and pepper at the table to my liking. The restaurant was clean and bright, and offered more seating than I expected even for a small space, two different sections for guests (the dining room sort of L-shaped), plus a couple tables outside. Ordering at the front counter for dine-in was quick and easy, efficient service with a smile. My food was prepared in less than 10 minutes, brought out to my table, ready to enjoy. The restaurant itself is fairly small, you order at the counter and the server brings out your food. I got the quesadilla and koobideh kebab plate, both of which were tasty. The kebobs were tender and very flavorful, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the pita bread was perfect. The hummus tastes homemade too. All three of us really enjoyed everything and we are pretty picky when it comes to kebob. I also had one of the pistachio baklava and their signature tea. The staff is so warm and welcomes you like family. The menu is concise and offers photos which help with decision making. I forgot our first trip here at Kabob Fusion that we ended up coming back again to see how it is again so I could give a fresher review. In short, although the meats feel fresh and juicy, I felt like there just wasn't enough? Perhaps I was just hungry. L O C A T I O N Kabob Fusion is located in a small plaza off of Fremont Blvd right across from the 99 cent store. Parking is limited in the back but we haven't had issue finding a spot though today there were some spots full of trash. I N S I D E There's a bunch of seats and tables inside as it's fairly spacious. You will smell like food though as they do grill the meats inside and the venting isn't as great though they do try their best to open up doors to help. M E N U They are certified halal so you can have your halal meals here. Although they do have kabobs, we opted to see how their burgers were and also try out their chicken burger. One quip I have with their burger menu is that they have them just listed with no descriptions. We're always wondering what does "mediterranean style" mean or "texan" so if they could put some description somewhere about that, that would be great. So today we got the Texan burger, the crispy chicken burger, and curly fries. The buns are both slightly toasted or at least branded. The Texan burger has grilled red onions, mushrooms, and bell peppers in a bbq sauce as well as pickled jalapenos and shredded iceburg lettuce. The burger patty is thin and wondering if it's flavorful because it was hard to discern the meat flavor due to the bbq sauce. I had to eat it with a fork and knife because it was just soggy from the sauces. My fingers are still smelling like the food after picking it up and washing with soap and water twice. The crispy chicken "burger" and I'm putting that in quotes because it's more like a large chicken tender. This had red onions, iceberg lettuce, and pickled jalapenos. Had I known there were red onions and jalapenos, I would've asked for none of that as my stomach gets irritated with spiciness. The chicken was tender but a bit flat again. The curly fries were a bit under fried. Some of it was crispy, some were limp and barely cooked. But it was tasty. Just wished it was cooked properly. S E R V I C E We called in our order and they asked us to wait on the phone as they needed to probably serve folks in store. Eventually they got to us, got our orders and asked how much time we would be getting there. We said about 5-7 minutes and we got there roughly in 6 minutes and basically food was ready to go in a minute or two. Easily paid by credit card. O V E R A L L I'm still on the fence here if I like this place or not. So I'm at the moment at an OK. I am coming back to try just the original burger as well as their kabobs and gyros. So definitely will update this review after getting more of their items. But definitely try out this place and let me know what to order next time! read more

Came here on a saturday night and the place was pretty crowded. We got the gyro quesadilla to share and I ordered the combo shawarma and gyro plate which came with rice, pita, and salad as well. I also asked for garlic sauce and chili sauce on the sides, they were really good & paired well with the dish.
