Self serve chai for dine in

Came for the Restaurant Week menu and stayed for the free chai (dine in only). Chai was tasty, momos and kabobs were delicious! I would not have tried this place if it wasn't for Restaurant Week.

I love momos and dumplings, but theirs, I couldn't eat. I think they are worst momos I ever tried. The only good thing about them, is their noodles. They were delicious and I can come back just for those veg noodles. But never for momos. The jhol was warm, but because I have tried the cold jhol, I think I prefer cold over warm. Everything was wrong about their dumplings, thick covers, bad filling and the colors, though plated beautifully. The paneer was so bad, that I couldn't even finish a single piece. Anyways, my recommendation would be to try their noodles or other items, but if you are craving for momos, go somewhere else. The service is quick, and ambiance is casual.

Chicken Tikka Masala (so much steam )

We had been craving some Nepalese momos and came across this highly reviewed spot on Yelp. We were surprised to find out that it shares a parking lot with the restaurants and apartment complexes situated nearby, which made finding the restaurant a tad bit confusing considering we were not expecting it right smack in the middle of suburban residential space. Most parking is only for residents though but the parking space itself is quite large. The restaurant itself has a nice outside patio area but the inside is quite bare, with nothing noticeable in terms of decor, and the fixtures/vents above did give it a bit of a cafeteria-esque vibe. When we came around midday, there wasn't very many people at all; maybe 1-2 other parties. We got the Sizzling Momo Noodles and the Chicken Tikka Masala. While the chicken tikka was good, it didn't blow us away or anything - just a solid, creamy savory dish that filled us up well. The sizzling noodles however were really good. While the noodles weren't anything out of the ordinary when it comes to egg noodles, the char on the noodles, onions, and cabbage was great and chewy, and the momos were juicy and piping hot. The sauce was ok; a bit of a tomatoey flavor. Overall a good spot for some Nepalese food!

I wanted to wait until I went here a couple times before reviewing just to make sure I can review as accurately as I can so here we go. This is in the same little strip as Sack of Potatoes and pretty close to Bun Apetit. Parking is by the street and maybe some behind sharing with the residential parking. Hard to miss when you driving along Fremont blvd. A couple times we have gone, theres plenty of tables available so we get seated right away. We usually get butter chicken, tikka masala, naan, and some rice. I have had some other entries before but this became our favorites. Service was good and food came in quick. The naan was delicious, i think best I've had in a while, rice is good and the dishes were flavorful and good. I am not sure if they changed their prices but seem like its cheaper than it used to be but I am not certain. Anyway the last couple dine in experience were great. Our last experience when we ordered take out wasn't too great our dishes were pooling in oil that it leaked to everything else. We picked up the food and ate it after about 15mins so its not like it was sitting for too longI'm not sure why it was like this but I think I will be avoiding ordering take out in the future.

Great meal here the other day! All I have to say is WOW! Love this place! The owner is amazing and very friendly, free Chai tea and great ambience! If I lived here, I'd come at least once a week!

Food was good but service was v slow. The momo variety was quite intriguing. A little salty for my liking. They do have free chai stand up front which is a nice touch.

This place has been on my list of places to try and I was so excited to get the opportunity to go. They were empty when we went and we were served immediately. We got 2 naans and 2 curry dishes. I appreciated the free chai they offer too for dine in customers but it was a bit watered down and I probably wouldn't drink it again. However, the food was amazing! The cheese naan was flavorful and they give you 5 large pieces of it! The garlic naan was delicious as well and paired perfectly with our curries. The butter chicken was filling and had a pretty good amount of chicken pieces in it. The sauce itself was a bit on the thinner side and I would've loved it to be more rich and creamy but it was still pretty tasty. The nine gems curry was delicious as it had a thicker sauce and they gave a hearty portion of vegetables and potatoes. I'll be back!

    Chili Chicken Momo ($16.99)

The food was fresh and the flavors were pretty good here. I've never had a momo so this was a first. I was recommended their chili momos by a friend. I got chicken for the momo fillings. While the momos themselves were very well seasoned and juicy, I feel like the chili aspect was a bit lacking. They barely smothered any sauce on it, the spice was extremely mild, and the onions and bell peppers were really undercooked. I was disappointed because I see that they're usually super sauced up and vibrantly red with spice. Other than the momos, we also tried the salmon kebab and lamb curry. The kebab was really good and the plate was well balanced, fresh, and delicious. The lamb curry was flavorful and came with generous chunks of lamb, although the chunks themselves have a chew and could be more tender. Food was good, but not good enough to make up for the small portion and high price points. Upon entering we were promptly sat by one of the waitresses. It took quite a while for us to receive our food though considering it was really empty on a Sunday night. Also, one of the waitresses was coughing and hacking profusely while serving which was a bit of a concern. Place itself was well lit with big windows. Very casual spot.

A pretty unassuming restaurant dishing out delicious, fresh, and healthy Nepali food. There's ample seating available for indoor dining, but you would visit this place for the food, not the ambiance, and a lot of their food is best enjoyed piping hot. Also, they have complimentary tea if you dine-in in; the tea cups are tiny but the tea is surprisingly good. We started with the chicken chili momos. They were delicious but a little less saucy than most other places. Also, note that chili momos come with fewer momos per plate compared to steamed or other momos though the prices are higher. Sadly, I didn't realize this before ordering, and I wish they'd mention this on the menu. For the main course, we tried the egg chowmein and the chicken and egg thenthuk. Both dishes were great but the thenthuk was absolutely top-notch. Hand-pulled noodles in a broth bursting with flavor yet not overly salty or spicy - this dish really surprised us (in a good way). We've come back to try more kinds of momos and kebabs, and we've liked most everything we've tried here till date. Service has also been fine - nothing extraordinary but not lacking in any way either.

I was on a momo craze these days and was sad to leave Seattle because I didn't think there were any near me BUT I was wrong cuz this gem of a place popped up on my run. I went in on a whim and the person that took my order was super friendly. I got the tikka masala, a chicken momo, and the garlic naan. He was really hyping up all the food so it was very exciting for me! Extra points for offering free chai (it was delicious). The tikka masala was sweet and creamy and well seasoned. The garlic naan went really well with it! The momos were also super good! The chicken filling was nice and sturdy. He recommended the lamb momos so will def try that next time. I would recommend drinking so much chai while eating the momos.

My family and I, two adults and two young children, came here during Ramadan for iftaar. Before arriving, I specifically called ahead to ask whether we needed to come early because I understood restaurants can become very busy during iftaar time. I was told that arriving 10 to 15 minutes before iftaar would be perfectly fine and that our food would be ready around the time of breaking fast. Based on that reassurance, we came about 20 minutes before iftaar expecting a smooth experience. Instead, the moment we walked in, it felt like we were invisible. The restaurant was crowded but not chaotic. We sat down and waited while servers walked past us repeatedly without acknowledging us. Eventually, I had to flag someone down myself just to place an order. I even asked directly how long the food would take because we were fasting all day and had two small children with us. The server confidently assured us the food would arrive around iftaar time. That never happened. When iftaar finally arrived, all we received were dates and water. No appetizers, no main dishes, nothing. We continued waiting while table after table around us received their food. Meanwhile, our children became increasingly upset and hungry. Anyone with young kids knows that after a full day of fasting, asking them to wait another 20, 30, even 50 minutes is nearly impossible. Our kids were crying, exhausted, and confused as they watched other families eat while we sat there with empty plates. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of honesty and accountability. Every time we asked about our order, we were told, "It's coming soon." Then eventually the server disappeared entirely for nearly 20 minutes and avoided us altogether. A woman later approached us, but instead of apologizing or taking our concerns seriously, she became dismissive and defensive. By this point, nearly 50 minutes had passed since we ordered, and she still insisted we "shouldn't complain" (in Farsi) because the food would come "soon." That response was honestly more upsetting than the delay itself. A simple apology, honesty, or basic compassion toward a fasting family with small children would have gone a long way. We eventually left the restaurant feeling humiliated, disrespected, and deeply disappointed. What saddened me most is that this happened during Ramadan, a month centered around patience, generosity, hospitality, and good character. In Afghan culture and Islamic ethics, guests are supposed to be treated with dignity and care, especially during iftaar. Halal is not only about the food being permissible. Halal is also about honesty, fairness, respect, and how people are treated. Sadly, this restaurant failed in all of those areas. We will never return, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for respectful service or a welcoming family environment.

They were a little disorganized, but the decor and vibes were very homey. Their portions are fairly large, and overall the food was pretty decent, although not all of the dishes were my cup of tea I will say. This was my first time having Afghanan cuisine, so take what I say here in my review with a grain of salt. I rounded up because the food was pretty tasty and filling, but wasn't super impressed by the overall experience. So, to me, flavor and quality of the food is more important than the overall experience with the staff and vibes of the space. I would have given a 3.5/5 if I could. Food: 4/5 A friend mentioned that this is his family's go to spot for some of the most authentic Afghan food, so this is what I am basing the rest of this review on. We ordered Triple Kabob Murgh, Teka and Chaplee Kabob, Quabili Pallow, Mantu, Aushak, Sabzi Challow, Kado Borani, and Doogh. The kabob meats were all seasoned differently and were very tender, but everything else had a very similar palate to each other. Everything was fairly tasty, and the lamb wasn't too gamey, which I appreciated. If you try the Doogh yogurt drink, know that it is sour and an acquired taste, my friends said it wasn't good until they ate some food along side it. Staff/Space: 3.5/5 The staff wasn't the most friendly nor did they really come to check on us. The guy just took the order and brought our order and that was the only real interactions we had with the staff. The space in general was super homey and very much set for cozy family vibes. There is a decent amount of space inside and outside to accommodate for various party sizes. There is only street parking, which is not super convenient.
