Since the change of ownership, this would be our second visit. The foods were still splendidly good and tasty. We tried the Gobi 65, Boneless Chicken Biryani, and the Tandoori Pomfret. The place was 60% full and services were pretty prompt. Interesting music playing in the background, not sure what kind of instrument. But very soothing.
Spicy, hot, flavorful plates Definitely ask for no spicy if you cannot take the heat. Loved the Karivepaku Chicken Fry! Great flavors. And the Chili Bullet Naan is not for the weak. Naga's Special Chicken Curry had so much heat and fragrance. A mouthful of burning sensation was worth it. Standard garlic naan and roti was a thicker and more chewy than the usual flaky thin rotis I have. Will be back! Thanks!

Been getting take out 2/3 times a month from here since they opened. And it never occurred that I should review them. Until tonight that is , when I went to dine in with a couple friends. If you walk into a place on a Wednesday night, and all the tables are taken, that's a sign. You walk in and it smells incredible, that's a sign. You see people laughing and chatting while partaking from varied dishes, then that's a sign! We ordered the Naga special chicken curry, the brinjal curry and the shrimp mango curry( that comes with rice), and roti and naan. Portions are ample , place is clean and service is satisfactory. Our sever Gopal took care of us in a timely and friendly fashion. The food itself, I mean , the flavors are all there. Each dish tastes unique and you get a sense you are eating out. No home style simple cooking here, the spices are intense and each dish has a bite. Isn't that why you go out to eat? Prices are really good, if you consider what other places charge for entrees. And everything comes out piping hot and fresh. So don't wait till the weekend to try it out, go today!
Shout out to my Yelp bud, Sid, for the recommendation! Went with my dad who enjoys Indian food. The SERVICE is spectacular. Never quite experienced an Indian restaurant with so much attentiveness and kindness. Server kept asking how our food is and if everything is alright :) We ORDERED the special goat curry, butter naan and butter roti (we went to another restaurant before this haha). I appreciate how descriptive their MENU is as they do list the ingredients. The goat was tender, juicy and delicious. Server warned us that medium is super spicy so we went with mild which we did not think it was spicy at all. Naan and roti were good. Roti is a bit more dry than the naan. Would order the naan again. VIBEZ: Lots of take out orders. Lots of different cultures and ages dining in. Love the modern and clean decor. Located in a plaza with tight parking. Would I come back? Yes! Why the 4 stars? I wish they'd leave a tray of napkins on the table instead of the need to repeatedly ask for more napkins (because some of us/some cultures can't stand the oiliness on their hands...). I also wish there was more variety on their menu especially regarding the veggie curries... what happened to palak paneer? :( ...also found it to be strange that their online menu was different especially regarding the apps portion. Plus I always order rice and when I saw multiple tables ordering rice, it was just a bowl of white basmati rice...wished they'd flavor it like multiple other establishments.

***USP: Indian restaurant serving cuisine from Hyderabad. ***AMBIANCE AND SERVICE: looks like they opened recently. Ambiance is clean with a mostly generic decor. Service is very friendly. Our waiter made suggestions to change up our order a bit like extra crispy fried chicken. ***FOOD: Food was great but I had a feeling I tasted the chef's food elsewhere before. Indian chefs move around a lot in bayarea, so these restaurants change frequently. I hope for their sake, the chef sticks around and doesn't move! We got karvepaku chicken, chettinad chicken curry and chicken biryani. The karvepaku chicken was fiery and had a fragrant flavor from the curry leaves. Biryani was delectable as well. The curry was spicy in a delicious way. Overall it was a wonderful meal.
It was our first time eating here and we enjoyed some of their dishes like Naga's Apollo fish, Butter chicken and Basil Fried rice. The Tandoori chicken was a little wet to my liking, lacking salt and that grilled taste. The Naan (plain and buttered) was a little dense not the light and airy that I prefer. Their price is reasonable for the amount of food that you get. The service was good and they're friendly. This must be a popular eatery for the locals because most people we saw here are either by themselves or with their families enjoying their food, eating with their hands as if they're at home. They also have just a couple of dishes. We'd like to come back here to try other dishes, I think they have authentic Indian food.
Excellent Butter paneer and naan, Just to try it out. Phone ordering very clear read order back. Pickup when it was ready well packaged. Dinning room was nicely ordered and clean, a few pictures on the walls. Looking forward to a return visit. Tasty food and reasonable prices.
This is actually one of the better Indian places we have been to. Very clean and efficient, the flavors are authentic and amazingly spicy. Be careful as they mean spicy in both senses. Hot spicy is a given as their baseline is quite strong, but also each dish's amazing spice blend makes each dish quite special. I had their chaas and it was quite flavorful, though I do like it with some fresh herbs in it as well. The place was very family friendly and had a nice atmosphere. Service was great. We enjoyed it!

We had an amazing South Indian meal at Naga's Kitchen. The food truly captures authentic Andhra flavors--bold, aromatic, and packed with spice in the best way. The Karivepaku Chicken Fry was mind-blowing and easily the star of the meal. We also had the Gongura Chicken with chilli bullet naan and butter roti, and everything was absolutely delicious. The mango lassi was refreshing, and the elaneer payasam was the perfect, comforting way to end the meal. From the moment you walk in, the air is filled with incredible aromas. The place is clean, service is quick, and the overall experience was fantastic. Highly recommend if you're craving real Andhra food! The place gets filled soon so if you're looking to have lunch over the weekend here, do come early.
I had Meen Kuzhambu with rice. Meen kuzhambu had unique spicy and tangy flavor which I loved. Raw mango pieces brought a new flavor dimension. Number of fish pieces could have been more as I got only 2-3 small pieces. I ordered for take out and service was quick. I would highly recommend if someone is looking for authentic south India fish curry with spicy and tangy flavor.

Incredible new Indian discovery for me! I was headed to Kiya Sushi next-door, but the incredible smells wafting through the open door here pulled me inside. We are very lucky to have so many Indian restaurants in Fremont, especially with those that specialize in different regional cuisines. I ordered the Apollo fish, special chicken curry, vegetable korma, rice, and garlic naan. I also had a mango lassi (and then a chai to go for later). Everything was impressive. I actually said, "Wow!" out loud when I tasted the chicken curry, even though I was dining solo. I can't wait to come back to try fish and goat curries and biriyani. Will have to bring friends so that we can order more dishes. read more

I have walked by this plaza many times, and every single time, I was met with an incredible, hard-to-miss fragrance coming from Naga's Kitchen. I always told myself that if a place smells this good, the food had to be amazing too. I am so glad I finally tried it, because the food wasn't just good, it was great! I will definitely be coming back. Here is a breakdown of everything we ordered during our visit: Appetizers Chicken Lollipop (Dry): Flavorful, well-cooked, and wonderfully moist. Best of all, it had more meat and less batter than most other places, paired with a delicious dipping sauce. It has a slight, pleasant heat without burning your tongue, which is great for focusing on pure flavor. Naga's Special Apollo Fish: This was the absolute standout of the meal! It was packed with incredible flavor, featuring a fantastic mix of yogurt, curry leaves, and green chillies that hit the perfect balance of tangy, cool, and spicy. Main Entrée & Breads Butter Chicken: A wonderful, harmonious blend of sweetness and spice, leaning slightly on the sweeter side. It paired like a dream with our garlic naan. (Tip: If you prefer more heat, you can always check with the staff about customization!) Garlic Naan: Soft, perfectly cooked, and completely free of that dreaded rubbery texture. It had a generous amount of garlic, a slight crunch, and was the ideal vehicle for the butter chicken. Drinks Fresh Lime Soda (Sweet): Refreshing and crisp. You can choose between salty or sweet, and we went with sweet. Pro-tip: Make sure to stir it thoroughly before drinking, as the sweetness settles at the bottom! Service, Ambience & Practical Details Service & Ambience: There are plenty of tables, though it can get busy during peak hours. Even when crowded, the staff is exceptionally quick, attentive, and prompt with their service. Parking: The complex has plenty of parking spots, though it can get challenging on busy days, and some spots are a bit narrow. Keep in mind that the spots directly in front of the restaurant are mostly 10 to 30 minute parking zones, so it is best to park a little further back in the lot. Final Fun Note: Because the restaurant has such a wonderfully strong food aroma, be prepared to leave smelling deliciously like your meal! Food was tasty, hot, great texture. Process were awesome. Service was great. Decor was classy and clean feeling. Gobi Manchurian - delicious& crispy. Chennai Chicken 65 may be the best, most tender white chicken dish I've had. Naan was ok; could tell it'd get hard when cold. Naga's Special Goat Curry, tasty but too much bones. I was already impressed with Nagas Kitchen during a previous takeout experience, but dining in took it to another level! The space strikes an inviting atmosphere and the staff felt genuinely warm with even the owner actively seeking feedback from everyone in a way that felt sincere Went straight for the bestsellers - Karivepaku Gobi, Mutton Seeraga Samba n Elaneer Payasam. Also tried the Garlic Naan with Coriander Paneer Butter Masala, Lemon Soda n Kesari. The cauliflower remains a standout generously crisp with bold curry leaf flavor. The paneer butter masala was a refreshing surprise packed with veggies and far lighter than the usual fare. The Elaneer Payasam stole the show it was delicate and brimming with the freshness of tender coconut. Every dish felt soulful and far from mass-produced. It does get busy in the evenings so a reservation is wise. All in all, a thoughtfully run kitchen delivering South Indian food with authenticity and heart, definitely my new favorite!! For those in and around Fremont they also offer catering, perfect if you're looking to bring that same flavorful experience to your next gathering! read more

Really good Indian food. We don't eat a ton of it but every so often, we like to indulge. Some of the best ones we tried were in London, UK. The restaurant is located in a very small strip mall next to an Indian food store and nearby laundromat. A Parking lot is available but lots of green zone and limited spaces. It's a cozy, comfortable restaurant where a lot of East Indian families and single men came in to dine. It felt good to know we were going to have some real Indian cuisine. The fried cauliflower, Karuveppaku cauliflower fry was my fav. Crispy flowerettes coated with yummy spices and curry leaf. We got an order of garlic naan bread which was thin and nice to eat but I would've liked more garlic flavor. We asked for dishes to be mild but the chicken basmati bowl was really spicy for us. I'd say 6/10 level. It was not mild. Fortunately, we were pretty full and couldn't finish it so it was boxed to take home. The chicken pieces were at the bottom of the bowl and had to be all mixed up to eat. Staff was very nice and kept checking in on us to make sure everything was OK. One of the staff offered more rice to help soften the heat in the chicken dish. We declined but took the raita because that did help with the heat from the dish. Glad we make an effort to try this place. read more

We were here during their soft opening. The staffs were friendly. They came around to our table several times to see if we needed anything. We didn't expect that we got a sample dessert from the house. I like the dessert that they let us tried. It was the best Indian dessert so far that I had. If you get a chance to eat here, I highly recommend you try their Elaneer Payasam. This is a coconut dessert, so if you like coconut milk, coconut shred, or coconut flavor, then this is a must eat dessert I would recommend this place if you want to try Indian food read more

We recently tried Naga's Restaurant (the new spot that replaced Maduram) for takeout. We ordered two egg biryanis and Naga's Special Chicken. Overall, the food was okay -- it wasn't bad, but it also wasn't particularly memorable. The biryani and the chicken appetizer both felt like they were missing depth and distinct flavors. The "special" chicken appetizer tasted like a simple, regular starter, without anything unique to set it apart. Since it's a newly opened restaurant, I hope they'll refine their recipes and seasoning to bring out more flavor in the future. read more

We kicked things off with their fried fish which was perfectly crisp on the outside, tender and flavorful inside, with just the right amount of heat. The chicken appetizers were equally impressive. For vegetarians, the veg starters weren't just an afterthought, think crispy bites packed with flavor and texture. The curries are where Naga's really shines rich, aromatic & deeply satisfying. Whether it's their spicy Chettinad style gravies or hearty kadhai paneer, every dish feels authentic and homey, but elevated. Don't skip dessert! Their sweets are the perfect end to a spice-laden meal which we're comforting, not overly sweet & made in-house. The vibe is warm, welcoming, and perfect for casual dinners or group gatherings.
